Lens.com shows a cheaper price and then add on hidden fees and excessive shipping costs at checkout. They should be totally transparent with pricing. I would definitely compare all cost prior to making a purchase.
The service and ease of purchase is great, however all my orders do NOT add up to the price they're supposed to. The subtotal was $81.05 with $9.95 shipping, adding up oddly to $91.00-- and the contacts were priced at $34.95 each. It should have been $69.90, and $79.85 with the $9.95 shipping. If they just charged more for each contact outright, I would understand, but this is ridiculous. It would be great to have an explanation and a refund of the difference, but I've read similar experiences from other users on Reddit. It's still a lower charge overall than my eye doctor, and I need specific gas permeable lenses, which is why I continue to use this site. Just a head up on the weird prices, folks.
On your invoice you put Tax and Fees. In my state the taxes would only have been $5.82 but the "Taxes and Fees" amounted to $45.48. In essence you are charging almost $40 for fees.
The two items should be shown separately. You're doing that to hide how much you charge in fees. That makes your pricing not as low as you are advertising.
We used to call that "bait and switching".
I ordered gas permeable contact lenses which were substantially cheaper than what I typically pay at my eye doctor's office. However, my contact lenses came in a nondescript plastic case with my last name written on the back in Sharpie. No label, no expiration date as the website promised, no manufacturer's name, nothing. The case was stapled to my receipt. This does not give me great confidence in the product.

The only problem I had was when my password was asked for I gave Lens. Com the one I had wrote down in my little book an I was told it was wrong
This happens lot to me alot but as for Lens.com go's never have I every had a problem they are very efficient and run the operation well. I will be doing more businesses with Lens.com
Very pleased with the lens. Gave this a low star because during checkout the total charged amount doubled in the tax field. Could be a technical issue. I only ordered 1 box in the order so it would be affordable.
Receptionists were rude and unaccommodating. They did a poor job explaining the policies to me and the price was ridiculously expensive. I've been a customer about 10 years and hopefully I can find elsewhere to take my business.

I just wasted an hour. Putting in my script, selecting my lenses etc When I got to the checkout page the total was off by several hundred dollars. (I realize I need to pay for the rebates first and get that later, but still a bunch of $ was missing) I couldn't figure it out. I spoke to a rep who was intentionally vague and just kept repeating that I need to pay full price now and get rebate later. I said I get that, but why are we off by a few hundred. Finally I asked what other fees there are. "PROCESSING" I said okay, so for this one eye, what is it, $191. Are you insane? Stop with the false advertised pricing, and wasting people's time. I'll stick to a site that charges you more, but the price they write is the price you pay. (The order number I provided is for a previous order as in this case, I certainly did not place an order)
I don't understand why I would get a free "gift" contact lens case which is not recyclable when I only order disposable day use contacts. Save the planet- put the pennies of a terrible non-gift to work elsewhere - give me the option to give to a cause or get a free case!
Thanks for my order,a bit expensive,and the fact you had to dropship my order. Also at one point i could have sworn i seen 1 day shipping but didnt recieve for 4-5 days but i could be wrong. It was and has been a good experience!
I've been with Lens for several years now. They are much cheaper for brand names than other places. The only issue I've had came with my last order. One of the contacts would not stay in my eye, no it was not inside out! I had to replace the contact with another new one and everything was fine. But now I'm down a contact.
I've used lens.com for years they've been very good with me the only thing I feel is the shipping and handling charges are a little high but all in all that equals out most of the time to a better value than other places... the price for my contacts came out slightly lower than my America's best price for the Biofinities. And if there's a rebate involved you usually do very well... this order did not have a rebate included because I ordered only one box each..

I do not wish to write a review - the contacts I ordered are hard to find and I finally found similar but not the ones I wanted. I wanted the monthly and had to settle for the bi-weekly and they were more expensive. I will keep looking for exactly the contacts I want.
The customer service representative was nice and did his job in helping me place my order. But he didn't seem to know the types of contact lens brands. When my doctor miswrote the brand name on my prescription, he was insistent on needing to call her to get it corrected. Getting my doctor on the phone was a challenge too so the whole process was lengthy and cumbersome.
I had ordered online, first time with contact lens. I wanted to try one box for each eye, as the script is different. Put in my information and card and entered. No total amount showed. Could not reverse and see my order. 2 weeks later my order shows up with 8 Boxes. For $658.19. $200 and some odd dollars for Taxes and Service? After 3 phone calls I was told to return once they sent me a RMA# and prepaid return label. Sent via their terms, they recieved, 10 days later still do not have
My $658.19 back. AND they will charge me for the shipping. More phone calls and now they say they have refunded to my bank. Called my bank they do not have it, I had to start a dispute, which will be another 7 to 10 business days. I have learned not to order online.

The delivery and service was good. I find the way the prices are listed, even outside of rebate offers, to be misleading with no way to know the real up front price, much higher than that listed in all the initial searching, until the final step of paying the bill. Still price is better than other sites we've seen.
Ordered 2 sets of contacts beginning of last month. Received notice they had shipped less than a week later. After 2 weeks they hadn't arrived, do I got in touch with customer service. I was told they had been shipped but I hadn't received them. They redid the order and I received them about a week later. Thank you for making this happen for me.
I took a quick 10 minute eye exam in the comfort of my own home and within days was able to place my contact order. Very nice for people with busy schedules!
When shopping online the final amount was almost twice as first quoted without explanation. I called and discovered there is a $32.00 "service fee". Because of this I will not use this company in the future.
I enjoy the convenience of Lens.com, but the shipping is slow. It consistently takes longer than a week to receive an order, many times closer to 2 weeks.
Received lens much sooner than I expected. Faster than my Doctors office. They fit great and the price was wonderful. Will definitely order more lens of different colors.
So easy! I went to the website, found my contacts, uploaded my prescription, and placed my order. My order arrived a few days later. I double-checked and it was completely correct. So much easier than other websites I tried to use!
Len.com was great, shipper not so much, didn't receive them until 11/11/24 (shipped 10/31) after being 'stuck' for a couple days in a small town in our state or it was lost somewhere else.
I received the lenses that I ordered in a timely manner, though I am very disappointed that the lenses all expire in less than a year. Seems they've been sitting in a warehouse for an extended period of time. I ordered twelve boxes of 6 to last for two years, but I won't be able to use them for that long.
As long as your prescription is current, you will receive fast approval and timely delivery!
