Horrible! DO NOT TRY!
November 6, 2022

It makes kids bored and tired, barely making them enjoy the experience. In the end, kids forget what they learn because I-ready is too bad. Please refrain from using it it!

As a 5th grade student who is forced to go on this program for 40 minutes a week, I have a lot to say. First of all, even when you pass them, Iready keeps giving you the same lessons over and over and over again, and it drives a lot of people to insanity, second of all, it is VERY cringe, third of all, it doesnt teach anyone anything! Infact, almost everyone in my class is still doing the plory and yoop lessons! Im a straight A student, so I have a higher expectation for grades, so its hard to tell if 5th graders are really that stupid or if Iready is just trash, but its never taught me anything, so thats enough proof for me, lets all work together to get this piece of $#*! off of the internet and banned from schools for good!

I-ready is honestly a nightmare for kids. When I was 10 we had to have a %75 or above but I was on level D and the lesson were way too long. It took me 78 minutes to do one lesson that I got a %67 on. It made me so mad that I literally (excuse my typos) Screamed at the top of my lungs. (I had to walk all recess) So that is why i-ready is the worst app EVER. Heres a video of when i went rage mode 10 years ago :). Also I go to sleep crying because i keep hearing that strange sound coming from my PC."Can you find the sum of 10/12 and 4/6" me: "HOW ABOUT YOU,CANT YOU SOLVE IT YOURSELF?". I hate i-ready so much that is the reason i am so depressed. ----------NOTE:do NOT use this website for schools----------

If i could give i ready no stars i would! As a student i feel that i ready is A WASTE OF TIME, TERRIBLE LAYED OUT AND HONESTLY USELESS FOR STUDENTS!

As we all know, i ready is a pile of garbage. They make their product so unenjoyable, and their 1 and only product just sucks. The lessons in reading and math are boring, and in the reading lessons, every time you screw up on an question, it drags you into this "look for the clue" thing. It makes the lesson even longer and is a waste of time. The math lessons however, suck. They have these unappeling math characters called "plory" the orange alien thing. The math lessons have the slowed AI speech, and when you finish 3 torture lessons, you get a 5 second animated cutscene. The diagnostic test sucsk too. Like math, its boring, and in the end you work the hardest and get a 400 score. Honestly, i would have more fun programming TI-Basic than spend my 45 minutes on garbage. That is my im garbage ready review.

My first problem comes at the very beginning, with the diagnostics. The video and tutorial make you want to punch through the computer. It guides you through answering questions like I didn't know how to do that already. It says you should get about half right which turns it into a competition. Then comes the actual question-answering. The first red flag comes with not being able to go back to a previous question upon entering the next one, which removes your ability to check your answers before turning them in. The math diagnostic I am fine with, mainly due to math being my favorite subject, but the reading diagnostic makes hell an appealing alternative. They make you read passages from a book and then answer questions about what you have read. It takes forever and is wasteful and discouraging in nature. I can feel myself creeping closer to death with every lesson and diagnostic. After about 500 millennia, you finish and get results that are nowhere close to your current level. Then it prescribes the same lesson to every student, the one thing it speaks out against, by the way, and gives you the same lessons year after year. Boring, repetitive, and dull, IReady makes you want to be boiled alive.

Why i think iready should get nuked beaucse overall iready is stupid, idiotic, and dumb if iready were a person i think it would have broken glasses and probably tell the teacher that he forgot homework and knowone what a son of a bill fish like that so that's why i think iready should get nuked by russia.

You see, I-ready often does not teach the same thing the teachers teach, and there is no option to change that for teachers. As for the lessons themselves, they teach vastly different subjects for each lesson, and most likely will never exhibit the same content again. Also the instruction time it takes for the voice to stop speaking takes up most of your time in the lesson, and there is no way to turn it off. If just given the instructions on how to solve a problem, and having the speaking voice as an option, is a much better way to exhibit those questions. Another problem is the turn in issues. I-ready counts a week as Monday at 12:00 a.m. - Sunday 9:00 p.m., which can cause issues for students with an overloaded weekend. The grading format here is one of the worst problems too. It is just like another service named, "IXL." IXL fails your lesson if you get a question wrong, but the difference between IXL and I-Ready, is that IXL has the potential, and the ability to teach you, even if the grading system is extremely frustrating. If you fail more than three questions, I-ready fails your quiz, and that means you have to repeat the whole lesson over, not just the quiz.
Ok, I know my rant was long enough, my point is that I-ready is not beneficial, and can be damaging to a child's work habits.

Recycler
December 12, 2023

I am in 5th grade and it has been pretty good, but for the least part. IT KEEPS USING THE SAME STUFF, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY KNOW IT, and it has the same animations after you reach a certain point of "maturity",it takes the animations out and puts even more boring animations. Don't get me started on the boring "learning" games that might be fun at first, but U already know that after a while. It has given me an even badder time during diagnostics and it's pretty badly made altogether.

After having to deal with this literal bore of a program for my entire curricular experience, I can positively tell anyone that it sucks. The learning is slow and not engaging at all. As a nuerodivergent student who can barely sit through lectures on anything, a lecture on $#*! I already know just puts stress on me. Even the diagnostic sucks, I've had scores fluctuate only due to guessing. I never even want to talk about those, they crush people's self esteem. Following through with the lessons, it took an hour for my $#*!ing basic linear functions lesson two years ago, leaving me with only 5 hours of sleep to get through the school day and everything after. Insane. The rewarding games even don't feel good. They're low quality games made to mash together the idea that learning is fun, which it is, but things like this and the American education system barely teaching anyone anything in a fun way or really teaching at all. Let's look on a global scale, can any of you tell me the gunpowder formula, how to make soap or penicillin, how about making electricity or gas? Our education system choosing things like I-Ready instead of teaching actually useful things like where the things we need to live come from or how to live after school is just bizarre to me. Honestly, I've heard people talk about killing themselves over school and it scares me.

As a middle school child that has been doing ready for about 2 years, I can say that it is terrible. Saying you start out by doing a diagnostic that restarts after every Sunday. But it also took half of my 5th grade to finish the DAMN DIAGNOSTIC CAUSE IT KEPT RESTARTING. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I SUFFERED BEING ANNOUNCED THAT IM DUMB AND CAN'T FINISH CAUSE I HAVE A LIFE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL? GET AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE IT IS A MAKESHIFT HELL. Anyways other than that it still sucks and takes what feels like 20 years of being bored to finish one damn lesson. I hope whoever created iready is dead. My point is never to touch this website if you want to keep your brain cells.

Iready is sooo bad! I'm in 4th grade and forced to do iready, so I have first hand expirince (and spelling errors too). 1. the animation on iready really sucks! Could'nt they have done a better job?! 2. I found out on google that iready is dehumanizing! Sometimes my mouth randomly starts gaping open! I could'nt belive it! 3. Every time the computer cart is brought into the classroom, my whole class groan's because that means we'll have to do iready! 4. When you finish a question, they repeat the whole thing over as if we don't under stand the problem, when we're the ones who solved the problem! Its normal when teachers do it but its a time waster when iready does it! Therefore I feel iready should be no more in public schools. (Directed twords PS. 10!)

I'm in 8th grade and my school is making us do i-ready to "catch up" on what we missed from covid. It sucks. I got on 3 questions wrong and it brought me down and I had to do the lesson again. This app makes me rage more than my brother does in videos. Someone needs to start a petition to shut it down. Literally makes me wanna kill myself, makes my mental health hit rock bottom, makes me stress on questions, and more. Even though I shouldn't I want to smash my computer so hard on the ground because of I-ready. And, it gives me headaches. I have one right now (doing a math lesson :( ) and it hurts so bad. RUN AWaY FROM THIS APP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

Today we mourn Josiah Finkleton III, he sadly passed away while doing an iReady reading lesson. The lesson was "Determine Word Meanings Using Context Clues 1". Josiah had an extremely unhealthy iReady addiction, which is part of why he died. Josiah could not breath because of a panic attack while he failed his quiz lesson. Before he died, he asked me to say that, IREADY MAKES KIDS WANT TO DIE ITS WORSE THAN MY DEAD GREAT GRANDMAS CABBAGE SOUP. I HOPE THE CREATORS AND WORKERS IN IREADY DIE AND THAT THE VOICE ACTORS ALL LOSE THEIR VOCAL CORDS. DAMN YOU IREADY. R. I. P Josiah Finkleton III.
