I ready is an exuse to hurt students mentaly. This site is the equivlent of studing poop to learn about math.
I have witnessed horrors on this site that nobody should witness. I am one of the few lucky people that only had to use this absolute atrocity of a site in elementary school. I was a small, impressionable child, oblivious to the horrors of the world. That all changed when IReady was introduced. Though these events were very long ago, I remember being endlessly tortured every single day in reading class with such horrible, repetitive, brain-rotting lessons that would cause me to go in a zombie-like state, my brain melting into mush with how much I hated IReady. The "lessons" consisted of "characters" that would "help" you with the lessons, but instead of feeling like being taught, it more felt like I was being forced to abide by their rules or I would be brought to a dungeon and left there for all of eternity (this part is an over-exaggeration by the way, it was not like IReady would actually toss me into a dungeon. Please don't track me down. Thanks!) This review is not a joke by the way. I hate this site with an undying, white hot fiery rage. The lessons already sound horrendous, correct? That's what I thought- But nothing could compare to the diagnostics. Nothing. The diagnostics consisted of hours of poorly written articles, Shakespeare (who I have such a disdain for that I would have to write an entire other review in order to express how much I resent his work), and BS questions that would make tears begin to form at the corners of my eyes. I remember 5th grade diagnostic day distinctly. I grew so bored and exasperated with this horrible site that I eventually fell asleep and woke up shortly before time was up. I rushed to finish the questions and I tell you I have never felt more relieved to be done with my last IReady diagnostic. It was a feeling like no other. I felt free, liberated, like an eagle. Little did I know that I would be sentenced to EOCs and Midterms and my least favorite thing: the PSATs. Ugh. Every time I am forced into taking one of these exams it teleports me back to that very day. IReady has left a scar on my brain, like a branding, the memories burnt into my neurons forever. Abolish IReady. Do not force innocent children to experience the same fate that I did.

I-Ready is a complete waste of time and money. As a parent and teacher, I have seen firsthand the negative impact this program has had on my child's education and the education of my students.
First and foremost, the program's adaptive assessments and personalized instruction are supposed to help students improve their skills in mathematics and reading, but the reality is that it falls short in providing effective instruction. Studies have shown mixed results, with some students making gains while others show no significant difference in performance compared to those who don't use the program.
Additionally, I-Ready's heavy focus on standardized testing creates an unhealthy pressure on students to perform well on these assessments, rather than fostering a love of learning. It turns education into a chore and takes the joy out of learning.
The program's heavy reliance on technology is also problematic. It requires expensive technology and internet access, which not all students have access to. Furthermore, it does not take into account the unique needs and learning styles of individual students, and its lack of flexibility and adaptability to different teaching styles makes it difficult for teachers to effectively use it.
The program's negative impact extends to the teachers as well. It reduces teacher autonomy and creativity in the classroom. Teachers may feel pressured to teach to the test, rather than providing instruction that meets the needs of their individual students. Additionally, I-Ready's heavy reliance on technology can lead to a lack of professional development opportunities for teachers, which can negatively impact their ability to effectively use the program.
Furthermore, the program's heavy focus on data and standardized testing can lead to a reduction in school autonomy and creativity, as schools may feel pressured to teach to the test, rather than providing instruction that meets the needs of their individual students.
In conclusion, I-Ready is a complete disappointment. Its negative consequences for students, teachers, and schools far outweigh any potential benefits it might have. It is a costly and ineffective program that should not be used by schools. I strongly advise parents and educators to look for alternative methods of instruction that better meet the needs of individual students and foster a love of learning.

Answer: It's designed extremely poorly. So, therefore it makes it miserable to do. It also doesn't help that the school systems don't give a shit as long as the TEST SCORES are high so they can get GOVERNMENT FUNDING.
Answer: Sweetheart, you might want to sit down for this one. It's because they want you to suffer an plethora of hours just for you hear an irrelevant explanation that you knows it's blindingly transparent and gratuitous to make pontifications.
Answer: Because its so goofy agh and boring as heck itself
Answer: I DO NOT THINK YOU ARE A DUMBASS SORRY ABOUT THAT JUST RELOAD THE WEBSITE BEFORE ITS DONE SPEAKING
