On Friday, November 8,2024 I spent 3.6 hours on the phone with customer service. I asked several times to speak with a supervisor and was denied. The representative set a time for Monday, November 11,2024 at 0800 hours for the escalation team to call and assist with addressing my issue. No one called. I call twice on Monday, November 11,2024 for a total of 53 minutes and explained my issue and again asked to speak with a supervisor. The representative said a supervisor will call me within the hour. No one called. I called on Friday, November 15,2024 an additional 30 minutes with my case number and again explained my situation. An employee told me there is nothing wrong with their product it must be my computer. My band new Lenovo computer with Windows 11 is the issue. The only two things installed on the computer is my printer and the Lorex Cloud. I have been a Lorex customer for more than nine years. My product has ALWAYS worked. I need to be able to download recordings and save them to an usb flash drive. The system does not allow one to select a start and end time for recordings. A co-worker found several reviews on line stating the Lorex Cloud does not work with Edge or Windows 11. I assume Lorex is very well aware of this situation and has wasted five hours of my time without ever admitting their issue.
DO NOT BUY ANT LOW.REX ITEMS FROM THIS COMPANY. SERVICE TOTALLY SUCK. THEY NEVER ANSWER THE CALL. MOST OF THE TIME PHONE SERVICE IS DOWN. AND CALL TAKERS DONT SPEAK ENGLISH. THEY ARE TOLD TO READ SAME SCRIPTS OVER AND OVER FROM THE MATRIAL THEY ARE PROVIDED. AGAIN. SPEND $100 OR $200 MORE AND BUY A PRODUCT FROM A RELIABLE COMPANY.
My video doorbell stopped working. I called tech support and I unistalled doorbell from outside and connected it via USB Cable on the wall. The doorbell lit up and started working. Reinstalled doorbell and it still didn't work. Called an electrician and he said the transformer in the doorbell burned out. Electrician installed a new transformer and the doorbell began working. Electrician left and 20 minutes later I had to call him back because my doorbell stopped working again. He found out the the Lorex doorbell had burned out the new 24 volt transformer. Called Lorex Technical Team to ask about polarity issues as recommended by the electrician. I was given the run around and the couldn't comment on polarity. Now I have an electrical bill and still no video doorbell. I am disappointed in LOREX.
They make it as difficult as possible, wearing you down to the point of giving up. THE WORST!
Purchased a complete package with 6 cameras (1/22) from COSTCO. Time passed before I could install it. Got it up and running and then purchased a 7th camera (1/23) an 8th camera 4/23. One of the original cameras was problematic from day 1. Since customer service was making things so difficult, I bought a 9th camera (6/23) so I could get the problematic one down from 18 feet up on the ceiling to photograph the serial number with hopes of getting some help. NOPE! They just play rope-a-dope.
CALLED SUPPORT BECAUSE MY REGULAR DOOR BELL HAD A HUMM AFTER INSTALLATION OF NEW DOOR BELL. WES TOLD THAT I NEEDED A NEW CHIME FROM THEM THAT WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT DID NOT SO $55.00 DOLLARS LATER STILL HAVE HUMM. THANKS. WILL FIND OTHER PRODUCTS.
We asked about the system and was told to go online and you can download the install book. In it it tells you how to add other manufactures cameras. Perfect so we bought a system. In reality it is there, but Lorex has blocked it and now you can only use Lorex cameras, which are kinda crappy. Had they been honest we would not have purchased, now trying to return. Scam company so not recommended. They mislead you and then say sorry, he must have been new. It is stiil in the manual you can do it, but they lie.
I see I'm not the only one who's had bad experiences with Lorex support staff. Generally I don't like dealing with call centres/support from the Philippines. I find often times the staff slow to resolve the issue and there's a lot of attitude that comes with the interaction. It's suprising how such a great product and quality line of equipment can be overshadowed by mediocrity of support. I contemplated this company for additional surveillance for my home but I'll be looking into competitors.
Doesn't work half of the time. When I try to access it from my phone it keeps saying something went wrong.
Uneducated people at customer service. When you call you get more frustrated. That's what they want so you don't call back. Full of s__t.
Save your money. Lorex has the worst service in the business. They 100% will not stand behind their customers. As a corporate customer with multiple systems after they made an error costing me a mere $1,835.65 and they wouldn't even respond to me after they found out they were at fault. It's a drop in the bucket financially and they are going to throw away a relationship over it. They have zero interest in doing "business" with you. Once they have your money they will simply ghost you. I never write reviews but I was and still am stunned that Lorex thinks treating customers in this manner is good for business. Customer service is ignorant and will do anything to discontinue contact with you once they know they are at fault and they have no intentions of standing behind their actions. In 35 years in business I have never been treated so poorly. Literally in shock of their handling of my case. You have been warned. Save your money and look for a trustworthy partner who has integrity.
I'm done with Lorex. Every time, right after their warranty expires their equipment fails and I'm told there is no leniency and have to purchase new equipment. The first time this happened they upgraded to different technology and our cameras no longer worked correctly and was told we needed different equipment 13 months after purchase. The second time, 14 month in and the DVR/NVR that came with the 16 camera system died and was told I needed a new DVR/NVR which would cost me just as much as I paid for the whole system. The 3rd and final time my door bell camera developed moisture on the inside of the lens and when it dried left it left a film on the inside of lens and now all video images are blurry. They can't help me because my 1 year warranty expired 2 weeks ago. My suggestion to people is get something other than Lorex unless you want to spend a ton of extra money to extend warranties. Their product doesn't last more than a year. The quality just isn't there anymore
Bought a new dvr from their own website, no software available so I had to call their tech support. One hour to do setup then afterwards I noticed how loud the internal fans were, you could hear them from across the room. Now I have made four phone calls, sent them three videos and a picture of the serial number and this lady hung up on me. AT&T does the same thing, they harass their customers until the customer stops calling. Well, we'll just see about this.
I bought the Lorex 2tb 8 channel IP NVR 8 camera security system.
Long story short, Lorex failed to send a power adapter in the original purchase and then refused to send a replacement. This was after I spent about two hours talking with and supplying their service department with information and a photo copy of the receipt. They emailed me back and said that they did not recognize the seller (Amazon) and would not send me a power cord. I am stuck with a $900 system that I can't power up. Thanks Lorex.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY AND PRODUCTS. I bought an entire home system and had a problem with the doorbell from the start. Finally, when I got around to testing it we confirmed it to be a bad doorbell unit. Only being less than a month out of warranty, Lorex asked me to run a series of tests which included buying a multi-meeter and sending pics of the results, I was informed that even though it showed as bad, they couldn't assist with this doorbell. Why the hell do you waste peoples time...
Now, I will spend my time telling anyone that will listed and post anywhere possible how horrible of a company Lorex is and how horrible customer service they have.

Let me be clear. I need some support. I DO NOT WANT TO CALL. I want an email address so that I can properly communicate the issue. I want to attach screenshots. I want to know the the person I am communicating with UNDERSTANDS the issue. I have NOT had success with your phone support in the past. I do NOT want to continue being frustrated in getting wrong answers because of this.
Do better. Tech Support via email should be one of the simplest things in the world to offer.
I've had nothing but problems with this Lorex camera system and I will never buy another one again! At the most important times it never works, it doesn't load and has issues connecting to your phone app. Worst piece of crap ever! Warning don't ever buy a Lorex, customer service is useless as well They don't do a damn thing they expect you to do everything and it still doesn't fix it. Doesn't even deserve one star but I had to put at least one.
I purchased a Lorex camera system for my home... in fact this is the 3rd one I purchased... all have now quit working. I contacted customer service and they refused to give me an RMA nbr... I had even purchased an extended warranty which they will not honor. The equipment works for a while then breaks and you are screwed.
You'd think that after spending 1k on a security system that their parts department would be easy to get parts... wrong. They don't care. They said they don't carry the power chord and I would have to wait for them to call me back... still waiting and I am not happy... I won't be buying this system for future homes... that's for sure
We purchased 12 outdoor battery/wifi cameras and 4 indoor wifi cameras. The quality of the cameras is very good. Setup and install fairly easy. Our dissatisfaction comes in with viewing the feeds from the cameras. When we purchased this we had the understanding that we could view our feeds on a pc. After several attempts to figure it out I called tech support and they told me I can't do that with these cameras. We have also since found out that only 1 person can view the feeds on their phone at a time. So we are constantly logging in and out so my wife and I can view the camera feeds. The little monitors that come with the system only allow the camera feed to be visible for maybe 10 seconds and then goes to the screen saver and we have to click on it again to view... so no continuous viewing is allowed. It would be nice if we could leave our live views of our entry ways visible at all times as we have 2 monitors. Battery life is diminished greatly when there is a greater amount of activity on a particular camera. Nothing close to what Lorex states. Shame on me for not removing all of these cameras and returning them right away. Lesson learned!
I purchased some lorex cameras total of eight two months ago I've been complaining about problems since day one they haven't helped me at all I had to go out and buy my own wire to fix one camera I still have issues with another camera my DVR makes so much noise hey tell me that the hard drive is garbage I complained and they've been escalating the case and I've been sending them videos and audios and I told them I'm going to go to the better business bureau so today they said they're going to replace the DVR but for them to replace it they want my credit card and then they're going to hold some money on it then they're going to send me a new one and then after everything goes through I might get my money back I remember at the beginning when I bought one item from them I didn't like it before I received it I canceled it well two weeks later they sent it out they charged my account and I told them I canceled it and then they said yes you did but why they sent it out I don't know then I had to send it back to them and I had to wait another week or two to get my money I have to wait about a month on a canceled order which I canceled as soon as I put it in but they still charge my credit card anyway they're fraudsters their equipment sucks their warranties even worse I would stay away from lower security cameras even if they sell my Costco I wouldn't buy them anyway but you got Costco behind you they'll back you up you can always get them refunded at Costco I also have a very very noisy DVR it almost keeps me up at night
