Had Lowes install carpet in my home. We got high quality carpet and paid over $8,000.00. After 15 months the carpet developed rolls and ridges due to poor installation. Lowes has a one year warranty but many carpet issues develop after the 12 month warranty. I called both the local and corporate office and they were unwilling to budge on the installation issues. They didn't even acknowledge that they would look into the subcontracted installers, so the chance of this happening to someone else is a possibility. Do not allow Lowes to install carpet in your home
This store has the worst customer service. The employees are rude and impatient. They need intensive training to improve customer service from top to bottom. Management needs to be made accountable for the quality of service subordinates provide. HD Supplies and HomeDepot provide much better service for customers in this area. I filed a complaint last year when I had a similar negative experience. Waste of my time, management is still not accountable for the poor customer service. Today they hanged up on me 3 times and when I asked for the manager they did it again. Pacoima Lowe's is a disgrace to our community.
I don't know if anyone has ever done business with Lowe's but we have made our last purchase from them. We ordered a fence from them on May 28th. We signed the contract on that date. We were told the installation would be in 6 to 8 weeks. The fence was finally delivered on August 6th. It has sat in our driveway for 2 weeks now. After calls to rep who wrote the contract we still have no install date. Going into week 13 and just disgusted with the way Lowe's conducts business. Never again.
We had a deck installed in 2011, from the start there were issues, some of the deck wood had to be returned, some step boards had to be replaced, some deck floor boards were messed up, they did not replace all the damaged pieces i requested, i continued to call, mostly got ignored, i told the manager that someone needed to come out and make a visual inspection, they refused and said, " we will not come out nor will we do anymore repairs". The deck continued to have other problems. The top railing separated from 2 different locations, more boards cracked and split, the support hangers underneath the deck separated, making it dangerous to walk on, especially since it is right at the entry door. This deck was very expensive, i feel they should have backed up their work. I will take pictures and post them later. Very poor customer service.ONE STAR IS TO MUCH CREDIT FOR THIS
I found a piece of equipment I needed on Lowes.com. It had mostly 5 star reviews but a significant number of 1 star reviews. It seemed like it would suffice so I went to Lowe's and bought it. The equipment self destructed after several uses. I called the manufacturer who sent a repair kit to arrive in 10 to 14 business days. I needed my equipment to work yesterday, not in a few weeks so I called up Lowe's and found it was still returnable. I did return it but stupidly bought another identical item rather than take the time to go shopping elsewhere. The new equipment fell apart during the first use of less than 30 minutes. A minor problem but tedious to repair.
From there I left a less than complimentary 1 star review about the quality of the equipment while commending Lowe's for their return policy. My review generated a response from the manufacturer's rep with instructions which I followed. The manufacturer did sent parts but they sent the wrong parts. I called again and was told they didn't actually stock the part that fell off my machine. Too bad, so sad. I had to either return it to Lowe's for refund or remove parts and mail back to them so they could justify reimbursement.
Here's where it gets funny. I posted a followup review that wasn't any nicer than the original. Lowe's not only failed to post my new review, they removed my original review.
Then by arranging the sort order of the site from oldest reviews to newest reviews I noticed the first 75 reviews carry the notation of [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And guess what? That was the end of the long string of 5 star reviews and that is where the long string of one star reviews began. Deleting my original 1 star review did bring the ratio of 1 star to 5 star reviews to under 30%
I Brought a snow blower@ store in norwalk ct had to bring it back after 3 months of use they told me had warranty so i told it to orange ct lowes after they check it they changer
Me for the repairs they sucks o star because not the frist time
Lowe's does NOT stand behind their work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AT LOWE'S. We had a faulty carpet install done - the carpet is buckling all over. We have been trying to get this resolved with Lowe's CPO. What a complete joke. They make excuse after excuse after excuse and do nothing to resolve the problem. I will NEVER set foot in another Lowe's store and I advise you to do the same!
On Saturday July 21,2018 I went to Lowe's to purchase a new refrigerator. I must have walked around the appliance department for a good hour hoping to find someone to wait on me, and to sell me a refrigerator. I might add that I was not the only one searching for help. This was the Lowe's store located off Peter's Road in West Knoxville TN. I eventually grew tired of waiting to find someone to take my money... I left Lowe's and drove to Home Depot where I spent $1700 on my new refrigerator. I had it bought and done in less than one hour. Like I said [above] -- its LOWE's Loss..
My mom has been having her home remodeled since early 2017. She was told by the interior design consultant and her contractors that everything would be done July 12th 2017. Yes, 17 not 18. A year ago. The FIRST set of contractors provided by lowes was a bunch of Russians who seemed not to have even been licensed, installed almost everything in her house wrong, wrong cabinet doors, wrong trim, used the trim for the bathroom in the kitchen. This was after waiting 4 months AFTER the finishing date for them to even start. Then a few months later, well past when it should have been done, after my mother called lowes for the millionth time either to no response or no viable explanation as to why it was taking so long, the Russians disappear. No, really. They left the country and took her money according to Lowes. NOW 4 more months later there's a group of contractors. All seems fine except one guy acts suspicious. Iphone 7 plus goes missing, okay can't prove it and move on. Then, a few days ago my mother walks up her stairs, sees that the box to her $900 roomba has been tampered with. They stole it from the box that had been there for months, SCOTCH TAPED it back together, and left only the box. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
Go to surplus warehouse they carry the exact same stuff but at warehouse price. You can buy one item or multiples. I used to go to lowes till I found out about this.
I decided to buy two 50 dollar gift certificates for a couple of upcoming birthdays. Normally, I would have gotten them from our local Lowes, but I was feeling lazy and felt like I had plenty of time to buy them online, so thats what I did. On 7/8/18, I placed the order. I should have looked closely at the shipping information because apparently, in the past, my husband or I had typed our home address in with the last digit being off by one. I take full responsibility for that part of the issue. While it was never a problem before for any other order, it began a series of unfortunate events. The cards were shipped on the 10th. Money was taken from my bank account on the 11th. I followed the shipment with the tracking information given and saw they should have been delivered on the 12th, but instead they were headed back to Lowes in Minnesota. I called Lowes customer service on the 12th. The woman who helped me seemed efficient. I explained the situation, and she said that she would change the address in the computer, and would tag the order so that when the cards arrived back at Lowes, they could be sent to me. Well, as of the 19th, I had 0 communication from Lowes, so I called again. This time I spent close to 40 minutes on the phone, mostly on hold, only to be told that I would have to cancel the order and reorder it. Okay, why did I have to call them to find this out? And why was my money not refunded? I told the woman to cancel the order and credit my account. That was just after 9 a.m. today. Its almost 9 p.m., and I dont see any signs of the money being in my bank account. I know Im going to have to call again which is irritating. I use Amazon, Walmart, and Target all of the time and never have issues with orders, returns, etc. If Lowes wants to play with the big boys and stay in the game, they need to be more efficient and user friendly. Because this is now the second time Ive ordered something and theyve failed to communicate information to me, I will no longer use them for online purchases.
I tried to return 2 items that I bought online. I went to the site and was able to print the return label that goes inside the return. I tried to print the return SHIPPING label because they were not included in either item. I could not print it. I called in and was told that I needed to use Firefox or Internet Explorer ( i mean... who uses those anymore?) and that Chrome would not print it. Then I got a lecture by the CS associate on how Lowes only uses Firefox for everything online. Are you kidding me? They are not able to create a shipping label for you and email it like any other big online store does. All I can say is... Amazon. Walmart. Lowes is a dinosaur.
Please people DON'T even think on Lowe's when you try to buy any washer machine. We have less than 10 months with it since the first 15 days we noticed that was not working on certain cycles, we called to the customer service couple times and they "try" to make an appointment but when they said we call you later to confirm... after 3 or 4 days still waiting on the call. We called back same ting and finally the tecnichian came one time ok they have to order "this part and this part" 3 or 4 days later they have the part, came work on it guess what? Week later same thing we have been dealing with this for since the beginning. We went to the store and they said after 3 times the tecnichian change parts and more parts we are eligible to have a new one ok this is the more than the 3rd time and now they said we have to wait maybe one or two times more. How they start to fix something that's supposed to be new? After 15 days using it? I will never buy anything again form Lowe's and of course I will talk about this with family and friends. Check for better options before to buy at Lowe's.
I purchased this house 4 years ago, and have installed a bathroom, done extensive
Landscaping and various projects, and my local store has been such a great resource for material, advice, and helpful hints. Service can be a little slow, especially finding special orders for some reason, but overall, I could not have done this without them.
They have a great crew, and appreciate all the time they have taken to help me achieve my project goals.
I have enjoyed shopping at Lowe's for years and have spent over $35,000 in their store totally remodeling an entire house ad yard!
I recently hired their professional services to do siding and they sent one person in winter to do the whole thing.
There are so many quality issues I can't even begin, then instead of siding under some windows they put aluminum with NO J Track or something and when a large rain came the kitchen ceiling flooded and caved in!
I have been calling and dealing with their customer service and insurance people and NOT ONE CALL OR EMAIL BACK ever! It's just horrific!

We bought a refrigerator from Lowes this past winter. We opened a credit card in order to make payments, rather than paying the entire amount up front. The service as we made the purchase was fine, and getting set up with the credit card was easy. The real disappointment came months later when I called to dispute a late charge. My husband paid the bill (or thought he did), but the amount was still not taken from our bank account two days later. He logged back into his account and realized that the payment had not gone through, so he immediately paid it; however, he noticed that there was a late fee. Upon calling Lowe's to get refunded the late charge, as we had tried to pay but there was evidently a system glitch, we were told that we would not be refunded the charge. Prior to being told we wouldn't be refunded, the customer service rep continued to ask us if we'd clicked 'authorize' and other obvious payment steps that we'd had no issues in completing for the past 6 months as we had paid our bills... on time I may add. We explained that either our charge would need to be refunded or they'd be losing a loyal customer, in which case the rep replied, "Okay, that's fine. Have a great day." So essentially, we were told that our business and us, as customers were clearly not valued and they were fine with us shopping elsewhere. I have NEVER had such poor customer service when dealing with a charge like the one described. Because of this poor customer service, we will no longer be ordering our other appliances or flooring that we'd planned to order from Lowes.
I purchased a free standing linen closet on line, two weeks later they call to say the closet is in and to please pick it up in Indiana - mind you we live in Dartmouth Massachusetts. A few weeks later they call to say its arrived at the Dartmouth store. We rented a truck to go pick it on on a Saturday afternoon and after being sent back and forth from the customer service desk to the on line pickup desk, they found the item in the store. They now say we need a credit card to complete the purchase, sfter swiping several times they claim the card is no good. After many arguments we decided to come back the next day with a different credit card. Again after several swipes they claim this credit card is also not good. We were in this line for close to 90 minutes. It was embarrassing, especially after several times the clerk announced to all persons in this line that our credit cards were no good. They cards were not going through because after multiple attempts swiping the bank rightfully thought that fraud was going on. The clerk and customer service manager blamed their lack of training with the new online ordering system for the problem and somehow this was our fault. This was embarrassing, and they time spent was ridiculous and I will never buy anything ever at Lowes again. I asked Bryan the service manager who can help us, he replied no one... and explained it was poor training. This happened on Sunday June 3rd at 8:15am.

I will never order from Lowe's again. I am currently redoing my bathroom and thought it would be most efficient and cost effective if I ordered the majority of what I needed from Lowe's. I created my order online and when I went to pay immediately had a problem. None of the products I chose were showing as available from my closest store. So I called and spoke with a friendly customer service agent who facilitated my order. Presto. Seemed easy so far. Little did I know that was going to be the only easy part. When it came time for delivery which was now 3 days ago, my order had been divided among two stores nowhere near my house. Neither was delivered on the day of delivery despite the fact that I got two text messages and emails noting two different delivery times for each store. In both cases, the orders were not complete. I was never told they weren't coming. The bigger question remains why did they schedule delivery if they knew they didn't have everything? Did I mention that I gave them a 10 day lead time to get this together? It wasn't like I was asking them to do this overnight. After countless hours of calls to Lowe's customer service (sporadic help), their delivery service and 3 local stores now, I still don't have my products. We are scheduled for today, but I have no confidence that it will show. What burns me most is that I want a discount and Lowe's customer service is trying to make this the store problem. As far as I'm concerned this a Lowe's problem. My order was initiated online and paid for over the phone. I have never had so much trouble nor spent so much time doing someone else's job to get what I paid for delivered. Thanks for nothing, Lowe's. What a disaster. I won't even go back in buy dirt from you. You've left a horrible impression of your company.
Its been more than three weeks I returned my order and they havent refunded me yet. The email that they put to contact with them doesnt work and they dont have a phone number. I will never buy in this website. Its horrible
My husband and I bought a high end Samsung French-door refrigerator. We also bought a 5 year extended warranty. In 4 years weve had 4 repair trips for the ice maker, 1 for the doors that wont shut. Then the bottom ice maker, top ice maker, and entire Freon system gives out. Weve been told it will take up to 5 days to order parts and then more time to schedule another repair appointment. Of course its a holiday weekend which means longer! I call the warranty people, of course I get nowhere talking to the first representative, so I ask for Plan Administrator. I read to her FROM the warranty manual! No Lemon guarantee it says! If you have 3 covered service repairs completed on 3 separate occasions and your product requires a 4th repair, we will issue you a payment. She tells me that it only applies if it is the SAME ISSUE ALL 3 TIMES! I tell her that I have read the manual and NOWHERE does it say any such thing! I tell her I am reading it straight from the booklet, how much clearer can that be? To make a long story short, it was a waste of time! Not only am I never buying a Samsung appliance again, but I will never buy another appliance at Lowes! Their word means absolutely NOTHING!
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them
Answer: Same here and Lowes is no help! All they tell me is there is a delay, sorry
Answer: The price will be less but you will overpay with your time
Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
