“Great Service”

Excellent service at Lumber Liquidators #45 in Lutz, Bob Bartlett went above and beyond to help me locate wood that my mother purchased 3 years ago from Lumber Liquidators. She had a flood and needed to replace a lot of wood. He called several store's and was able to get enough wood for the repair.

LL made an estimate of required materials and placed the order. They told me there would be a $250 freight charge.
It turned out that they ordered much more material than I needed and charged be another $349 in freight. And result $649 freight charges on a $3300 purchase

We have used Lumbar Liquidators on a couple of occasions. The first time buying 3/4 solid oak and the second time buying pewter maple. No problems with the oak, but the pewter maple is horrible. It scratches and dents just looking at it. Considering we have it in all of our 1300 sf home, other that baths and kitchen, we are screwed. We did complain and got some money back but are still stuck with the floor. Looked beautiful when first installed, but scratches and dents everywhere. Do not buy pewter maple, you will regret it!

The fiberboard snap & lock system falls apart. Won't hold together now. Slides around. They didn't sell us the pad either. Had to buy pad at Lowes. It cost us $500 & we're taking it all back. Do NOT buy from lumber liquidators.

My husband and I are so happy with our choice to purchase laminate flooring for 3rooms in our home! Service was excellent and very helpful. Floor is excellent quality. The staff responded to any questions we had and we had 3boxes left over and no problem with a return within the 90 days! I will be sure to recommend Lumber Liquidators to friends and family! Thank you.

I have installed lumber from Bruce and cabin grade from lumber liquidators. I recently purchased 1000 sq ft of Bellawood Artisan and I am currently trying to install it. This is absolutely the worse product I have ever tried to install. Nine out of 10 boards are narrower on one end and it is a nightmare to install. This particular product is Kingston oak 3/4 X5 "

If you do any business with this company they will by default begin sending you unsolicited credit offers via email and US Post. They say they keep your personal information private, but you are trusting this company do be ethical.
From the Department of Justice on Feb 1,2006: Virginia-based hardwood flooring retailer Lumber Liquidators Inc. was sentenced today in federal court in Norfolk, Virginia, and will pay more than $13 million in criminal fines, community service and forfeited assets related to its illegal importation of hardwood flooring, much of which was manufactured in China from timber that had been illegally logged in far eastern Russia, in the habitat of the last remaining Siberian tigers and Amur leopards in the world":

Once delivered the original oak floor took a month and a half to be installed. When we started to walk on the floor within hours it began to splinter. Some boards were higher than others in elevation. There were strange gaps. The installer used the chopped off ends of boards (some as short as 8") end to end instead of using a longer board. It looked terrible. It was dangerous. A small child was stuck with splinters while playing on it. For months all I got from their customer service was that it was MY fault the floor was not installed properly and they did not have to honor their warranty. It took them six months to finally replace that floor. Six months that our lives were turned upside down because we couldn't put furniture in the room because we were WAITING and WAITING and WAITING for them to do what they were supposed to do. Finally after six months of excuses they finally installed a replacement floor. It's vinyl - no opportunity for splinters. After looking at the sample board in the store and were given a sample to take home we chose a nice dark brown. When installed it turned out to be striped with large areas that are not pigmented. More Junk. If I wanted a striped floor I would have chosen one. See picture below of the sample provided by LL and the actual installed floor.
If you want to waste your money, experience abuse and aggravation and still in the end have more junk installed in your home - buy from lumber liquidators. So much for Truth in Advertising.

After purchasing $8,000 worth of hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators, I learned they will not warrant the wood against mismatched sizing! What does that mean to you? Let me explain. After our kitchen was half way installed, we began noticing gaps, strange gaps all over the floor. We stopped the work and began close inspection of the wood. We quickly found the cause. Several of the boards were one eighth inch narrower than the others. When it comes to hardwood flooring, varying board lengths and even thickness is ok, however you cannot carry the width of a board even the smallest amount or the following boards will begin to lay more and more crooked.

After contacting Lumber Liquidators, they stated it is the installers job to check each and every board before installing! Can you imagine how insane this statement is. We only bought 1000 sq ft, but that would mean measuring about 20,000 boards before installation. Its appalling that they cannot even manufacture wood properly and even worse they will not warrant their material.

STAY AWAY FROM LUMBER LIQUIDATORS unless you want to increase your installation cost by 10 fold.

I wish I would have read the reviews of LL Flooring before buying. It was the most horrible product I have ever installed. I'm not a flooring expert, but I've put down enough floors to know how to do it right. I had two friends that ARE flooring experts come look, and they couldn't believe what they saw: Each piece of flooring basically shrunk and I ended up with small gaps between most of the pieces. The seams were extremely difficult to put together, and would routinely chip and crack during install. For the rest of the house I switch to a product from American Flooring instead, and it came out perfectly - not one issue. Easy to work with and beautiful.

LL Flooring just seems cheap right out of the box. The seams are brittle. It obviously doesn't acclimatize, even after a week.

I opened a warranty request, but they told me that I obviously hadn't read the warranty, which only covers SURFACE scratching. Wow. $2,000 wasted. I told them that I would leave a bad review on every site I could find and they really didn't seem to care. I think they're just a sinking ship and they know it.

"Select Pewter Maple" or Pewter Maple is a soft "red" maple manufactured in Canada by Lumber Liquidators under their brand name Casa de Colour - nothing is being liquidated here except your wallet. Turns out it is about as soft as pine on the Janka scale and easily scratches and dents - it is not American hardwood maple and no contractors here have heard of it. In case you bought or buy from Lumber Liquidators, make sure you receive all your invoice pages (there should be at least 3 including their terms and conditions), and know that if you try to return their poor quality wood, they will start an "exchange" game followed by a "beat the clock" game, followed by "good cop bad cop", where apparently the local store can ignore corporate "customer care" and refuse to accept your return... on the 91st day. Much more went on, keep detailed notes and contact your major credit card company within 60 days (may differ, give them a call) to start a claim - maybe you'll avoid being stuck with 30 boxes of "hardwood", although we were lucky enough to have caught the problems before having all of it permanently installed. You've probably heard about the class action lawsuit currently against Lumber Liquidators for their toxic Chinese laminate with the dangerous formaldehyde levels people unknowingly installed in their homes. Best to avoid them and their so-called "sale" prices, because you won't be getting the "sale" or American quality you thought you were buying.

I would not recommend them. Extra charge of $1096 to level a 10 x 8 room. $900 to move furniture. Nothing but greed here.

I installed vinyl plank from them in June 2021. After a few months, I noticed that some boards were shifting, but I attributed it to the weather changes and didn't think much about it. However, it just kept getting worse. I was talking to someone who owns a floor company and explained what was happening. He came over and took a look. In all of his years, he had never seen this. The individual boards were cupping and the joints between the boards were breaking. He said that if it is the fault of the manufacturer that the boards are defective, it is common practice that the company reimburse for the flooring and make things right. I would think that all companies would follow the same ethical business practices. Basically, if your product fails - you fix it. He advised me to reach out to the manufacturer (LL Flooring) and have them come take a look. I am in the middle of the process now, but was told up front that if they find that the flooring is defective, then they will only give me store credit for the flooring. They will not come and reinstall. First off, I honestly don't flooring from their company again - it is crap. Secondly, because their floor is defective, I am going to have to pay thousands out of my own pocket to have it ripped up and replaced. And, on top of this, I just got an email saying that I have to pay for and find a 3rd party inspector to report back to them. They won't even send an inspector to inspect their flooring. If the flooring is found to be defective, then they will reimburse me the cost of the inspection. I am struggling to make ends meet right now and for me to have to pay the upfront cost of an inspection of their faulty product is absolutely ridiculous. And, when they do find that their product is defective, I WILL STILL HAVE TO USE THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN AND BE OUT THOUSANDS for someone to come out and fix a problem that they created. In my opinion, this is just downright unethical and extremely poor company practices. I would highly recommend that YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY because of this type of thing. When something happens to your floor, you will have to use their crappy flooring again and pay thousands more to fix the problems they create. BUYER BEWARE! STAY AWAY!

Tip for consumers:
STAY FAR AWAY!!!
