Its a cool site for special offers for people who need to make cheap rate international calls. Ive been using them for a month and their favourite bundle which allows callers to choose upto 3 landline numbers in any one country of choice and they give you 3000minutes in a month for just £10. Thats like really the cheapest deal if youre making lots of calls to landlines in a particular country. I used to spend around £50 a month for calls to my parents in india and now i just spend £10. Great savings... :))

If you're considering Lycamobile for your mobile service provider, think again. My experience with Lycamobile has been nothing short of a nightmare. Here are a few reasons why you should avoid Lycamobile at all costs:
Unreliable Internet Service Abroad: If you travel frequently, Lycamobile is a terrible choice. Despite their claims, the internet hardly ever works when you're abroad. You're left disconnected when you need it the most, making it an incredibly frustrating experience.
Expensive Plans: For the poor service you get, Lycamobile charges a premium. Their plans are overpriced and don't offer good value for money. You end up paying more for subpar service, which is simply not worth it.
Slow Internet Speeds: When the internet does work, it's painfully slow. Simple tasks like checking emails or browsing social media become tedious. Forget about streaming or doing anything data-intensive.

I took out 2 SIMs with prepaid plans with Lyca, which included data, calls and texts.
However, in an emergency when I tried to make a call I instead had a message telling me there was no credit so I couldn't make a call, the same then also happened with trying to send a text instead, I should have had both calls and texts. I tried to use mobile data only for this to also be apparently the same!
When I was finally able to check my account it showed as PAYG despite there being prepaid plans on both SIMS and the data plan I had taken out had also apparently halved in data from when it had been taken out.
A complaint email to customer service over ten days ago has only resulted in 2 absolutely pure nonsense responses, with very poor English and making no sense or any closer to an answer in any way as to what had happened to leave me stranded.
Absolutely the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I requested a cancelation of my SIM within the 14 day cancelation period, only for their customer representative to ignore my follow-up email. After sending over 6 emails to Lyca I finally received a confirmation of termination thinking that was the end of the matter. Only then to find out that they charged me again for the same service!

5 months without my sim card because of the company's fault. They asked me to pay for their own doing after I purchased a data plan online and got allocated the wrong amount of data. Quickly called them to ensure I get this sorted, gave them about a month but they never did anything. Some of the customer service are very much in denial and unhelpful, one even told me to shut my *** up. Unfortunately I didn't get their name as it didn't even expect to be talked down so much. This company does not seem to be regulated at all. The customer service lacks manner and accountability. Everyone is telling you different things.
I had an issue, and called Lycamobile to solve it. The consultant told me it will be solved within 24 hours, but unfortunately I'm still waiting for 3 days. I called again told them u can't do anything please connect me with ur manager, they told me their manager told them that managers won't speak with customers.

I tried to transfer to a new network and needed my account number and PIN. I called customer support, and they said to get my account number I needed to verify by giving them two numbers I call often. This is a very uncommon and strange verification process. I gave them the only two numbers I ever call and they said they were unable to verify. This is a scam company that tries to lock its customers and does not let them transfer out of their network with their original phone number. Do not sign up with them.
Worst mobile network in the UK. I purchased a £27 internet bundle and more than a week later, my account has still not been credited with the bundle. I have called and emailed with no results. Now I am asking for a refund and a PAC to port to another network and they said it is not possible.
Nobody should use this useless network.
Requested a port-in on to numbers on 29/09/23, left without service on both for 28 days and counting. 2 elderly 75+ old pensioners left without access to bank accounts and missed medical appointments. This company has caused incomprehensible pain and suffering for a month now and continues. Sent countless emails, made countless phone calls, have been told on at least 20 occsaions that will be resolved in 24 hours. 24 hours never arrives!

The lies this company has mentioned on no less than 50 occasions is dumbfounding. After hundreds of emails and calls we are told to wait 24 hours, this has been the case for over 3 weeks. 24 hours never comes!

I am most disappointed with Lyca's response yet again as it does not make any sense to me, how come 20 GB data is used up within a day.
The offer of 20% discount on re-purchase of Lyca is a joke. Given the lousy & most cumbersome product Lyca offered in the marketplace, why would I engage in purchasing Lyca again. I am going to make sure that every opportunity I have, I will warn others & publicise the lousy product & service Lyca offers. Besides I had been without mobile connection for two weeks, did you expect me to wait indefinitely? I have purchased other mobile sim that is proving to be most efficient & offering significantly better customer service.
Warning, please stay away from Lyca. There product/service is worth ZERO Star. Don't waste your money

This has got to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Tons of fake reviews. My internet would be cut to less than 1/2 Mbps at least every 10 days and virtually impossible to connect a call, then I had to make a very painful phone call to get it sorted sometime 3 times before they did anything. So hard to understand all the foreign phone reps the last one sounded like they were eating crisps while trying to talk and reading from a script. They repeat everything you say until you get annoyed. Very very diabolical company then when i said i would claim my money back for the month through my credit card they threatened to cut me off. Not much of a threat when I pretty much had been cut 5 times in 6 weeks.
I bought a sim card recently just to get around at first, everything was working normally up until one day I'm no longer able to send sms nor place phone calls. I contacted support to explain my situation, they asked me send them an email with all the details and information and told me that the issue will be resolved in 2 days. It's been 2 weeks and the issue persists.

Although Lycamobile might be cheap, why pay for something that doesn't even work properly? 95% of the time, you have one bar. And during that sweet 0.4 seconds of having 4 bars, guess what? It's still so slow. For me, it takes ~10 minutes to load a SINGULAR PAGE with 4 bars. You can't even load most apps using Lycamobile. "But it costs almost nothing!" is not an excuse. You shouldn't pay for something that does nothing. In fact, adding the proof of purchase took 5 minutes. If I could rate this negative, I would. Get T-Mobile or something else instead. Anything is better than Lycamobile, so either get something else or don't get it at all.
This company must be a scam... I found their sim card in some shop, for free, I try to activate the number and top up: the money never arrived on my sim, although the bank transfer went through. Called customer service, they just keep asking data regarding me and my account, never solved the money problem.
I asked on social media if other customer had a similar experience and I found out many, many others have been ripped off like that.
We are now trying, together with other unfortunate customers, to see if is it possible to do something as class action to stop this scammers and we advise you to join and do the same.
Avoid them: if they give you something for free, that means that they will make money on you.

The network is terrible. I tried calling their customer service for number portability and it's been 10 days, 15 emails and 5 phone calls, but they just won't help you in any ways. In order to port your number to another carrier, Lycamobile need to give you your account number and that's where you get to see their true face. I'm tired. Opened a ticket with FCC..

An unbelievably bad experience with Lyca, I would highly recommend searching for any alternative mobile phone provider. I have had no network for 2 weeks and each time I topped up the money just disappeared. I've since left and moved after struggling to obtain a PAC code from them, I'm now free and have a working network again.

Yesterday I have had a wonderful and amazing service person he was so patient with me that he stay on the phone line until I went to the shop and when I get there 2mins from my house not realising that it was closed so I asked him to stay on the phone so he say yes and I run 5 mins to a next shop that was open all the way he was still on the phone wow I was surprised but very happy for all the time and help because I had to make a emergency overseas call I have to say he was a wonderful wonderful person to talk with yesterday thank you so much MR. Customer service is the worst. I should have read the other reviews. Lycamobile can go verify this: on 5/5/2023 I used the live chat feature on their US website (my phone number is *********** go verify it in your log), and I wanted to ask something about my SIM card. The agent (Eyena) required me to pass a verification. That's normal. Then she asked for the 2 numbers I had called the most in the last 6 months. What? Why not the numbers I called today or something that is both identifiable and easy to give? Who expects to keep track of who I call the most? My mom, my bank, my lover? I gave some guesses but the agent denied them and then insultingly said they couldn't verify me anymore since my guesses were wrong, and when I asked for other ways to verify she refused. I have had experience with bad customer service, but never this dehumanizing. Literally they could just ask me what numbers I have called today or in the past 3 days. But they have to come up with this nonsensical test that an actual number holder STARING at the call log can not pass. I was very disappointed.
EDIT: Upon the posting of this review, Lycamobile contacted me, went through the mistake, and gave me the info. So I have updated this review and increased the score to reflect my personal experience. It is not good that this happened, but it is good to know they can sometimes rectify their mistake.
