Customer service is the worst. I should have read the other reviews. Lycamobile can go verify this: on 5/5/2023 I used the live chat feature on their US website (my phone number is 626782**** go verify it in your log), and I wanted to ask something about my SIM card. The agent (Eyena) required me to pass a verification. That's normal. Then she asked for the 2 numbers I had called the most in the last 6 months. What? Why not the numbers I called today or something that is both identifiable and easy to give? Who expects to keep track of who I call the most? My mom, my bank, my lover? I gave some guesses but the agent denied them and then insultingly said they couldn't verify me anymore since my guesses were wrong, and when I asked for other ways to verify she refused. I have had experience with bad customer service, but never this dehumanizing. Literally they could just ask me what numbers I have called today or in the past 3 days. But they have to come up with this nonsensical test that an actual number holder STARING at the call log can not pass. I was very disappointed. EDIT: Upon the posting of this review, Lycamobile contacted me, went through the mistake, and gave me the info. So I have updated this review and increased the score to reflect my personal experience. It is not good that this happened, but it is good to know they can sometimes rectify their mistake.
Illegally charged me, cannot cancel the charges, have to cancel the credit card. They apply practices of digital thieves.

It did not work, so I called customer care. One lady called Adria received a call and she was speaking very arrogantly. After provided all info she put a request for port my number and she said do no insert sim card. I said I inserted sim card, and she started shouting on me saying it is not OK. If it is not OK why sim card packaging asks to insert sim card in the first place. Throughout the call she was talking mean. Very unprofessional staff. Not even a bit happy to buy this sim cards. I can't give less than one star if I would have chance to I would like to give negative starts.

I was in Northern Ireland (Belfast) and I bought an unlimited volume for 1 month for phone and internet for £30 from a "Spar" store. The seller was so nice and helped me unlock the SIM card and the package. 20 minutes later we checked the balance and it was only 20p left.
We called the hotline and they just said we should have called a specific number first and had the unlimited pack activated. All attempts to get my credit or my money back were unsuccessful.
I would have expected such an experience in a third world country but not in an European Country.
They have neither replied nor refund me. They advised me only to buy a new data package, unbelievable.

I use lycamobile in France. I recharged my account on Sunday so it would renew my package on monday. On monday I get insufficient funds message saying there's nothing in my account. I contacted the customer service and was told 20 euros was consumed by internet, meanwhile I already had a data plan. Apparently, 20 euros was spent on internet in one day and I got absolutely no notification whatsoever saying I exceeded my data plan. (Which happens to be the day I recharged my account? Lol)
This is not the first time, almost every month I try to select a bundle, I managed to do it, next month it's not renewed. I probably spent $#*! tons of money in the process. I'm going to an Orange store today. Don't ever use lycamobile.
Attached in the image you'll see I renewed it, it told me it will renew my bundle, and then it tells me I have nothing, and that there was problem. You can't be this incompetent.

T-Mobile and Verizon are faster and last longer when you purchase a SIM card for a month. Lycamobile has little applications: FB and Instagram simply do not load up. And the signal is so weak, you have to be walking around to try to catch a better one. Never again

(U.S.A. 01/17/23) Worst cell company ever. Missed calls not showing as missed (not showing at all), dropped calls, messages left on voicemail not kept, bad customer service, uncooperative. Have been cut short data time but internet access is ok. They're cheap, but you get what you pay for. After 4 years with them I'm done. Should have kept my TracFone. Lesson learned. Save your money look elsewhere.
Probably the worst carrier there is, extremely low quality of internet connection, i have to turn air mode on and off literally every couple minuts in order for it to somehow work, tech support is useless and just sends you information from their website even though i told them that i already read and tried it. Just waste of my time, money and nerves.

Instead of getting some 10 eur good-to-go internet as a tourist I paid 60 eur so far and was forced to get 3 month plan because that's cheapest they have. I spent some 8 hours troubleshooting how to order things in 50/50 English-Dutch language. Then the plan ran out leaving me lost in a different country and topping up gave me just few hours of internet leaving me stranded again. The bonus 30 euro they give your for topping up 30 euros can not be used internationally so they are useless. AVOID.
The worst mobile phone company in the world.
Customer service are clueless when you asked them why Lycamobile is taking money from my balance ( outside the monthly pay as you go tariff) without warning me. And they don't even want to tell me how much money they took.
I sent a complaint e-mail asking why they just take money without warning or at least to tell people what the money taken are for (description of the charge made)? Their response was to say that they don't need to send any alert or justify any charges they make and a few days later, they cut my internet access even though there are 20 days more to run on the pay as you go bundle from which I used only 33 Mb out of my 1Gb allowance.
I have reported them to the Telecommunication Ombudsman and awaiting for an answer from them.

They bet on your laziness to fight for 10 Euro but they forget its just as easy to file a police report online against all the names in the impressum as it is to write a review.
I contacted Lycamobile Customer Service to open my Lycamobile account. Then, the phone held until 10 minutes, I got a "Karen" operator. She kept buying some of my time while asking for frequently called number, then she told that I failed to verify. I asked for re-verification, but she yelled at me loudly. I think they are thinking that many of their customers are "running" away from the carrier. Do not use Lyca unless you want to be held hostage by the poor service.

Nothing to say. Just the worst service on the whole planet. Only good for the international calling, but if you are out of your home or may be travelling, just forget about the internet, because it just loads, loads and loads forever. It is so terrible that, it takes forever to load the maps. It literally took 10 to 15 mins to navigate.
I really got pissed off, when I talked to a customer care service member. Wasn't helpful at all. She was just hurrying to hang up the call. Just don't prefer LYCAMOBILE! It might look cheap and all. Only positive thing about this service is the free international calling. -10 stars out of 5.
Bundles and sim cards are not sent.
My order was supposed to arrive after 5 days, it's been a month now and I haven't received it. The customer support told me they do not know if the order has been sent or not, they do not know which shipping company is used, so neither can they provide a tracking number.
The only solution according to them is to wait (until when? More than a month seems already pretty long to get a sim card).
Also, reimbursement are supposed to be done within 48 hours. I requested it 2 weeks ago, and it still hasn't been approved. Again the only solution according to them is to wait (wait for what?).
Do not buy from them, and if you had the bad luck to do so, don't hesitate to report them to the police station (even for only 10€).
Payment page is doggy and made me pay twice. I asked them cancel one and get refund. The nightmare just started. Never gave me a refund. I email them many times and absolutely waste my time. They do nothing for you! They try all kinds of excuse just not issue you a refund!

I never received my preloaded SIM cards. When I attempted to get a refund, I was given the run around for months. I was asked for information I didn't even give on the original order. I was asked for credit card information via email, which is a huge red flag. Now they wont even answer me. I do not know if they actually provide phone service.

I am unable to receive any phone calls. I called lycamobile customer service and they told me to get a new SIM card. I spent $15 and got a new SIM card. Still the phone did not work. I called customer service again and then they told me to change the phone. I changed the phone and still the phone did not work. So, I decided to move to a new service provider. I called lycamobile customer service to get my account number and PIN. They first told me to send a mail that I did 48 hours back. Till now I have not received account number and PIN. I called them again now and they told me that they cannot do anything and I have to just wait for the technical team to respond.
I bought a $60 package with national and international data, calls sms etc.
Turned out, that this is working only in the US. So now I am overseas and this sim card is completely useless. Customer service is via email as I can't call anybody while overseas)))

They said the international data is valid with WIFI only. Wtf guys?!?!?!

Started service a family of four in 2013 coming from Germany. We went with them just based on their business out of the UK. At first they were pretty good but a lot of times phone calls would get delayed or would not go through. Text delays by sender and receiver much later than anticipated and it's because they're a third party MVNO. Additionally, when others offered more data at less $$ Lycamobile didn't follow suit and now these past 2 years have lost 4 loyal customers. I would definitely look elsewhere and Mint for our family has been pretty good with 4 GB of data, talk and text for $15/mo with a good working app, customer service is good and none of the delays, unreliability and pricing as Lyca.

First and foremost the service is truly worthless. Though they will gladly take your money when it comes time for using the service-- no connection. And then you try to call-- the toll free phone number on their site is out of commission so you have to call the paid line. Wait for 30 mn just to hear 'I'll take care of this' and then crickets right before you get put right back in a queue to start all over. Even the survey they give you is crap, you can't even respond to the questions. All and all this is a company that deserves to be dismantled and buried in a deep dark whole that is then set on fire. Too bad I can't give them negativ stars.
Worst experience!
I wanted to port in my number to LycaMobile. The agents didn't know the process and created multiple duplicate port in numbers. The port in is still in process even after a week! Now I have no service from previous provider and from LycaMobile. When called, all they could do was apologize and ask me to wait for another 48 hours without any service. Uneducated about their own policies and processes. If you are getting a new number, it may work. But never port in your existing number. Horrible!
Now the number is ported out of ATT. LycaMobile now says that this cannot be ported in at all as it is now inactive. Incompetency that cannot be reviewed. Stay away from LycaMobile. Till now no reply or communication as promised by the comment from LycaMobile!

I bought a sim from them and never got it. Tried to call customer service but they just wasted my time. Theres $5.25 down the drain. This company doesnt even seem to be based in the country. I bought a promotion sim card from their web site, $5.00 for 2 gb a month. First I tried to port in my existing number, but their web site gave a bizzare error, something like: success: undefined. So I call their CS, gave all required information. Then she told me it would take 24 hours to finish porting. After 25 hours, the porting didn't happen (I had their sim card in the phone). So I called again. This time, the CS told me there was no port-in request for my phone #. I was surprised but decided to try again, giving all information... 24 hours passed, porting-in didn't happen. I called again. This time, CS told me that there is a porting request matching the sim card #, but phone # is not my phone #. There are 2-3 digits difference from my phone #. He offered to submit a new port-in request. I told him, forgot it, I have no confidence in the company. It is a waste of my time and money.

They say they have 48 hours timeline to respond but after 48 hours also you call them,they will say they already replied,I am getting emails from everywhere not just response from Lyca.
Every day I am calling their customer service,getting same response that they forwarded my response to *******@lycamobile,us but I am still waiting for my account number and transfer pin.
To verify customer account,I sent my name,plan details,pin photo, order confirmation photo which is not enough for them to verify my account,I am their customer from two years almost.
I am really surprised to see reviews here.but i am facing issues and everyone who need to port their number face issues with Lyca.you can check Google reviews as well.
