Customer service is the worst. I should have read the other reviews. Lycamobile can go verify this: on 5/5/2023 I used the live chat feature on their US website (my phone number is 626782**** go verify it in your log), and I wanted to ask something about my SIM card. The agent (Eyena) required me to pass a verification. That's normal. Then she asked for the 2 numbers I had called the most in the last 6 months. What? Why not the numbers I called today or something that is both identifiable and easy to give? Who expects to keep track of who I call the most? My mom, my bank, my lover? I gave some guesses but the agent denied them and then insultingly said they couldn't verify me anymore since my guesses were wrong, and when I asked for other ways to verify she refused. I have had experience with bad customer service, but never this dehumanizing. Literally they could just ask me what numbers I have called today or in the past 3 days. But they have to come up with this nonsensical test that an actual number holder STARING at the call log can not pass. I was very disappointed. EDIT: Upon the posting of this review, Lycamobile contacted me, went through the mistake, and gave me the info. So I have updated this review and increased the score to reflect my personal experience. It is not good that this happened, but it is good to know they can sometimes rectify their mistake.
Illegally charged me, cannot cancel the charges, have to cancel the credit card. They apply practices of digital thieves.
I bought the sim with an offer of 10 euros package. They took the money, I received the sim card, activated it but did not get the package offer of 80gb and unlimited calls that I paid for, and when I called the customer service she said that you have no more credits now because it was consumed alone even if you don't browse the internet or use the phone it will consume directly your 10 euros. And it is my problem that I did not activate the offer, even though when you insert the card they only tell you to activate the number and not the package you bought. And as a new customer you suppose it activates alone because you have paid for it. However, they only take your money and don't give you the service. A creative new way of stealing money.
These people are actually scamers!After you pay 60 Eurosport to activate the plan, they cut off the calls and the internet connection, so you can't benefit the services you paid for! The customer service is a joke! This is a legal scam! I encourage you to make them complaints at you local authorities for communications!

Terrible company, downright scammers.
I purchased a prepaid 10GB SIM with EU Roaming. It didn't work well at all. For the most part I got no reception at all, and when I did have a signal it was 2G and barely functioned. Customer service was not helpful at all. The company admitted that I couldn't use the bundle for 9 days, yet they refused to issue a refund.

I paid £30 for their Go Unlimited plus plan (advertised as 30 days unlimited calls) and I couldn't even call through to my chosen country. I requested a refund which they refused. Within 4 days of buying their plus plan they blocked my number. I didn't even get a chance to use my remaining unlimited 30 days minutes to call in the UK. Their customer service is terrible. They don't care about the customer experience. They only care about taking your money.
When I tried to get my account number and transfer pin to transfer my number to another carrier. They ask what company do I transfer to and the most frequent number that I call. Asking about the most frequent number that I call is the way they try to force you to stay with them. I tried telling them with my family's number and it didn't work. Who the fk know the most frequent number they called.
Universally difficult to understand India Call Center reps. Simply read scripts that are unhelpful and uninformative. Tried to Port In a number from the website for an activation and received a "Success. Undefined" message at the end. 5 days later called to check on port in status and was repeatedly told to wait 4-24hours for port in (that's what the script said) even though it's been FIVE days. Related the 5 day duration to the rep and simply received the REPEATED "4-24 hours" script. Requested Supervisor. Was told to call BACK "in an hour" for a Supervisor!

I paid 5 pounds for my sim then topped it up and couldn't use it for more than a week!
I sent messages and emails, nobody replied and nothing happened. Luckily my husband just gave up his 5 pounds he paid on his Lyca sim and bought a Vodafone sim, we would have been lost in UK!

Lyca Mobile is a scam. They initially offered 5$ per month for 6 months with auto-renewal.
After the end of the first month is disabled the account is forced to purchase 20$ plan per month or lose the number.
[Lycamobile MK] I bought 2 SIM cards for my guests coming from another country. The process of buying the cards was rather simple, but then after the activation it turned out that I did not buy the thing that was advertised (the advertisement said bundle of 5GB + 5GB and some calls nationally), but just a plain SIM card, which means that after just a few hours the SIMs had to topped up. So I had to top up the cards several times. And after my guests left, they automatically charged me weekly. I had to call multiple times the Customer service and after I finally got them they (hopefully) made the payments to stop (I'll see about that next week if I am being charged or not). So never again Lycamobile, not just because of these unclear terms of use and automatic renewals, but also because of the very complicated procedure to activate the SIMs where you have to be a next-level expert to set everything to work properly.

I ordered a 30 day sim blagged by MSE on 4 Nov, the sim has not arrived to this date 17 Nov.
I have spent many hours on chat and attempting to contact Lycra.
I eventually considered that the company had been hacked and this was a scam but eventually I had a reply through another trusted review site.
I have lost confidence and have cancelled the sim contract.

My last two experiences. I had 15 swedish crowns left on my card, I bougt an additional charge of 100 crowns and when I checked my balance it was 105 crowns.
Last week I bought 100 crowns of charge when only had 3,5 crowns left. Today I called Iran and talked for about 5 minutes, and the call was discontinued! They claimed that I only had 4,5 crowns!
I'm not going to use Lykamobil any longer. They are not reliable at all.
I bought a layca mobile simcard. I have been trying activate it for five days. I have three reference number, *********************. I have called their customer service more than 30 times. Each time I had to wait for more than 10 minutes, each time it took 30 minutes to explain my problem. Their representatives has bad accent, even if I have language problem I can clearly understand that they cannot speak English clearly. It is such a terrible company. Please avoid it. When I explained them my unsatisfaction and asked them refund, they rejected my request very rudely by saying"did you read the agreement it says no money back. You can see our conversations.

While I love lyca for its cheap rates for Switzerland to call south asia, I am pissed of with their data package. Though it's also cheaper than local swisscom package, if the package finishes and you are not aware, then simply by keeping the data on fire a few hours even if you don't surf or download, all your balance will be gone... I lost twice about CHF 150.- each time, while my data package of 6CHF lasts me around 1 month. I complains twice but no one pays heed to your cry in the wilderness. Its basically looting...
