Lyft will steal from you! Do not use their service! Got charged a damage fee due to a fraudulent statement from their driver, Alisal. Received an email stating the were charging me a damage fee for damages I am certain I did not do. When I asked for evidence, they only said they had "anecdotal evidence" which means they had no evidence other than this douchebag's word, but yet they still charged me. You can only communicate through email and once you dispute a charge, they will ignore you. I don't ever complain but you steal from me, I'll be sure to make it known.
Lyft never recognizes their mistakes but only blames customers. I was in rush to to Inari medical, Irvine CA for the first time. Searched 'Inari medical' in Lyft app and it gave me an Irvine address immediately and no alternatives at all. They popped up their result so quickly and in Irvine so I totally trust and select their suggested address. But the address is totally wrong and I have to spend another $20 and 30mins to take another ride to my destination. I asked Lyft for a refund as their address is totally misleading. However, Lyft admits the error but blames me for trusting their research result. They simply say it's their fault but will not do refund at all. Their email customer service is most terrible too. Never carefully read my complaints and answer my questions. Most terrible experience!. I am totally out of Lyft.
Suisun City, California I ordered ride in advance to be in fifteen minutes, I came to spot earlier than 15 min driver nowhere to be found my account showing driver canceled my ride for no show on hot day in August I ordered again the driver wasn't the one from Lyft photo profile. Got twice charged cancellation fee. I opted no tip since they already took money for no service rendered but they still charged tip. With this kind of running ride sham how they still exist? No more Lyft ride for me I'm removing app.
They charged me a $20 fee without my consent or even informed me about it. Unreal of a company. The worst experience you could ever have. Wish I could leave 0 stars.
Lyft blows! Had free credits and requested a ride within 15 minutes 2 different drivers cancelled. Then the one that was assigned didn't move on the map for20 minutes after saying it would arrive in 5! Cancelled that ride and called Uber who arrived in 3 minutes! Lyft, u had your shot and you blew it!
I would love it if Lyft were successful, because I think competition is good. Problem is, I think they will fail as Uber provides a much higher level of customer service and is far more professional. Lyft has many issues, but one of them is their 'Primetime' pricing which is calculated in a much more customer unfriendly way than Uber. As an example, if Uber says 'Surge pricing' is 150% it means that if the normal rate is $10, you will pay $15. That makes sense to me. With Lyft, when they say 'Primetime pricing' is 150%, it means that if the normal rate is $10, you will pay $25, that is, nearly double what you would pay on Uber. And in my market, UberX is 20% cheaper than Lyft to begin with. Add in all the attitude with Lyft (fist bumps, I am supposed to be friends with my driver) -- higher prices for an inferior product. Finally, customer service at Lyft is surly and basically non-existent.
Charged $55 more than agreed. When I ordered my Lyft, the advertised price was $45. Imagine my surprise when I get an email saying I was charged $102. Even better? When I went to try to dispute the charge, Lyft's website just says "No, no problem here." and provides no way to actually dispute the charge. If this is not illegal, this should be. This is complete theft. The only reason I took Lyft instead of Uber was Uber was $65. This is completely ridiculous and unfair to riders.
Last week I elected a ride share on the way to the airport and about halfway to ATL airport, my driver received a notification that a rider was added. The driver took the next exit so that he could turnaround to go back to where he picked me up so that he could pick up the added rider. Here's what I don't get about Lyft, why would you add a rider that will require the driver to change his direction, like in my case, required the driver to turn-around and head back in the direction opposite from where we were heading? We were already 15 minutes in route and the driver had to turn-around and go back to where he picked me up just to add another rider. Is it not possible to only add riders who are heading in the same direction that the driver is in route to? I was late getting to the airport because he had to turn-around and head back in the opposite direction to pickup a rider. Is this not a simple fix for you guys to make? Seriously, it's a problem that you need to address.
This company that is supposed to give people another alternative to Uber or Cab Drivers is abominable. The drivers are unprofessional, the customer service is non-existent and when you do get to complain you get a robot that is programmed to supposedly appease you and make you happy by giving you $5.00. Which is totally unprofessional for a National Company like this. My Cat has more professionalism than this company does. Please, please do not use this company if you value your job or your life. I could write a book on do's and do not's for this company just on my experience alone. Again, I urge you to not use this company.
So I am trying to get home from work and its raining, these mofo tryna charge me 60 bucks for a 16$ ride. Mind you I took the same route to work in the morning and was only 16. Someone told me they up the prices when raining, well lyft can suck a a big fat one and choke. I will gladly deal with the T and their delays for 2.25
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
