So if you're 2 minutes late coming out they can charge you for it. If they are 2+ minutes late picking you up the price sure does not go down. As you're standing in the cold watching them turn around several times etc.
I booked Lyft to pick up a friend first, then me, and finally take us to downtown L.A. At the scheduled arrival time, I received a call from the driver, who informed me he was at my friend's address. However, he gave me a different address that was about 2 miles away. He claimed we were no-shows and said he was leaving. Shortly after, I received a text saying I would be charged $10 for the no-show. The issue is that the app had confirmed the correct pickup and drop-off locations in the proper order, which I documented with a screenshot. It seems the driver may have used this situation to avoid the trip and still collect a $10 fee for a bogus cancellation. Contacting customer service was nearly impossible, and navigating the app to file a complaint was frustrating and time-consuming. After about 15 minutes, I was finally informed that I would be reimbursed the $10. At the very least Lyft should verify ride cancellations with customers before applying charges. Due to the delay, we missed our seats at the concert and had to stand for the entire event. The experience was extremely disappointing.
Do not ride with a Charles from Philadelphia. Stole my phone that was left behind and even Lyft(employer) cannot contact him. MIA! And good luck with customer service...since it is non existent! Charles in the are of Fairmont, Philly and west deptford nj. I was told by lyft to contact authorities... What does that tell you.
My sister told me of Lyft. I began using it I thought it was good at first until automatic payments were being taken from my bank account by them and I wasn't even using their service. I uninstalled and unsubscribed, my bank had to freeze activity on my account because Lyft would not stop taking money for me. No customer service line also. Big scam, I'll stick with Uber.
Worst customer service EVER. They are never wrong and do not even try to understand you. They made mistake with me and did not even try to solve it. I do not know why they even exist. Using uber instead
Driver stopped at my first stop so I could get cash back he knew I needed cash and it had fallen out of my pocket in his backseat which I knew he would have seen because he said I was the last ride of the day he never returned it at my work where he dropped me off nor to my home where I got picked up he knew it was important for me to get cash back and then I needed it but he just kept it for himself even after my $11 tip. Not to mention he scolded me for my political views when he asked me who my favorite candidate was which they shouldn't even do typical Democrat I suppose
I wish I could give zero stars. Booked a ride over in late December from Charlotte international airport to Columbia,SC for my niece. The total charge was $168. The driver called me and asked how much Lyft was charging. I told him $168 he said Lyft was only paying him $60 for the trip.
I book another ride this morning for myself and Lyft charged me $143. I asked the driver how much Lyft was paying, and was told $60. This is very dishonest to myself and the driver. I will never used Lyft again. I will be sure to make videos for multiple social media platforms so customers will be enlightened on what Lyft is doing.
When I decided to try to rent a Divvy bike in Chicago, I didn't know how much it would cost, but it didn't occur to me it would cost $240 for one ride. I could buy a much better bike for the cost of one ride.
When I rented the bike I was acting quickly on my phone and I didn't realize until later that I was billed $131 for an annual membership. I cancelled as soon as I could, and only used the annual membership for one ride. I was also charged $109 for the bike rental. I was having a mental health crisis and I was too exhausted to return it to the turnstile that day, so I left it in my apt overnight. When I wrote to Lyft they ignored my request for a refund. I guess I was supposed to read the whole lengthy contract of fine print to see there is over $100 charged for a lost bike gone for over 24 hours that isn't lost. I thought the membership covers the cost of the bike rental. They charged me much more than the hourly rate of a rental. They should inform us of this in their ads.
The bikes are poorly made, too tall, built for 6 ft men, even if you lower the seat it will destroy the balls of a shorter man, and be dangerous to ride, you could fall over or crash, which I did.
I would like to assist Lyft in informing customers of the details of the Divvy contract that with one tap on your phone you could be charged hundreds of dollars and they have strict no refund policy.

Lyft likes to steal money from its consumers! I had a ride for this weekend during Christmas and Lyft put an extra hold as an additional charge on my account for those two charges as one! They refunded me partial that amount and charged me again! They have 33 dollars of my money that they stole! Please do not use Lyft they are thieves! I already contacted fraud! I even have proof $#*!ing thieves!
This company has gone downhill quickly. They have charged my card for services never signed up for nor authorized and you cannot reach them via phone. They want you to email for which on the past 2 weeks I've been passed off to 7 different people whom none helped or even attempted it. I'm going back to real taxi drivers.

When Lyft first came to our area, their customer service was good. Now that they been in existence a few years their services STINK. They removed the website so you have to us the app to contact them. Only through email and they take days to respond and us AI to offer solutions. You never actually talk to a person. They are allowing drivers to cancel trips in progress. One of the worst things to do is "Wait on a driver that's not freakin coming." I can see a driver not wanting to go to a area, cancel it right away! And the SURGE charges are bull crap.
Scheduled a Lyft ride for 5:35 PM. The distance was about 100 miles one way. At 5:45 checked status online. Was informed that I would be notified when a driver accepted the assignment. Would have been better if had been told before I was given a time. More of the same, i.e., an unsatisfactory experience.
They email you a discount offer then raise the rates on the same journey you have taken multiple times in the past month making it more expensive than normal. Rip off! Gonna start using Uber instead. Don't like to be tricked like that!
Twice now, when booking a ride the app will go on FOREVER trying to find a driver. This goes on sometimes for several minutes. By the time they find a driver, you should have been to the destination based on the arrival time estimated in the menu before selecting the ride type. On two occasions now while the app was searching for a driver I have cancelled the ride only to find that the Pending charge on my account was processed and charged. And you might as well forget about disputing the charge in their app because it'll be denied every time saying that the ride took place. Bull$#*!! I'm deleting the Lyft app for GOOD!

I tried and tried to get a good enough picture of my registration and nope. They never excepted it. Over and over for days. Uber on my 1st attempt passed my registration photo. Lyft is just so difficult it sucks. Never try and work with these people. No help no assistance no nothing. Just kept telling me to send it again and again
Another thing that's happened to me just before receiving my weekly bonus. 45 to 60 pickup. Message sent you need to update your information keep in mind I have been with lyft close to 2 years at the time ss not matching up with there records try sending it over 5 times time runs out to complete bonus 05:00 Bonus Lost what away to go lyft. $160.00 extra for the week at estimate of $5 to 6 per run average.
I had scheduled a Lyft. The NEVER showed up! This is horrible service! The app said the Lyft was running late we waited & waited kept saying on its way.! We waited for an hour!

The drivers are fine but the app is INSANE. Schedule a ride and it doesn't show up and you have to call another? Yeah. Assume that will happen cause otherwise you'll end up like me waiting for an hour. Need help in the app? You won't get any. It's set up in such a way as to make it entirely impossible to resolve ANY issue no matter how minor.
Just use uber.
My driver did not wear his seatbelt and only one of three seats in the back had a working latch. It also smelled heavily of cigarettes. There is no way to comment on my ride on the app for safety issues.

I in advance reserved a ride 2 days prior. My ride never showed up. Used their chat because they don't have customers service phone number to speak with live agents. I've been waiting now over 45 minutes for a response using chat. You all should be ashamed. I had to book another ride and it told me I already had one booked. They told me they didn't see a booked ride from 2 days ago, but their own app told me there was one. I am so upset. My daughter had an appointment that was very important for her treatment. Neither of the drivers showed up.
I traveled to the airport. When I landed I saw an $80 damage fee charge. Turned out there was another one for $70. $150 in damages. I contacted support. It took an hour for them to give any reason. They finally provided a photo accusing me of peeing in the seat. It was a morning flight with my wife. I'm a 36 year old sober male traveling. The damage fee came 30 minutes after my drop-off. There are tons of people waiting for cash rides at the airport. The driver blatantly took someone off the books, and dumped the charge on me. Support kept giving generic responses and toying with me saying they did a thorough investigation. They ignored any of the common sense I provided. A longstanding customer vs a driver who's clearly blowing off all Lyft rules. Now I need to file a claim through my credit card company. Wonderful.
If you've used a ride service you know how it works. I arranged a ride and after I was leaving a tip the price went from $33.99 to $51.89. I disputed only to receive a pre generated reply of everything looks normal. Well sorry guys that is not normal. Don't use Lyft as they hope you will just let it go.

Horrible company doesn't pay anything to the drivers Lyft keep 60-70% of all fares. Customer service needs training. Deactivation rate are very high for no reason. I drove for Lyft a few years too long. It was a disappointment 60%.A very selfish company.
Don't use Lyft. They take advantage in any way they can. They charged me $70 over the projected cost. Customer service was zero help. They repeat the same lingo from their training I'm guessing.

I order a ride with lyft the driver doesnt say your in the car. U take your ride in under 5 mins and your still charged a extra fee and your already at your home. I disputed it for them to still charge me. My boyfriend uses lyft for work and at least once a week they charge him for a extra ride and never give him his money back. You all need a person to take complaints and we want all out money back you all steal extra fees based off your drivers saying we are still in the vehicle or we took linger then the 5 mins to return back to the car. Bad business all the way you need to fix this problem. Tired of being charged extra off your drivers inability to say we in and out there vehicles to be paid more.

This happens ant least once a week with myself or boyfriend them holding fees and not returning them or over charging for the ride if its a return trip to your destination even if its within the 5 mins they give you to take care of your business before your left or charged another charge but if its within the 5 mins they shouldn’t be allowed to upcharge for a ride you took
