So if you're 2 minutes late coming out they can charge you for it. If they are 2+ minutes late picking you up the price sure does not go down. As you're standing in the cold watching them turn around several times etc.
I booked Lyft to pick up a friend first, then me, and finally take us to downtown L.A. At the scheduled arrival time, I received a call from the driver, who informed me he was at my friend's address. However, he gave me a different address that was about 2 miles away. He claimed we were no-shows and said he was leaving. Shortly after, I received a text saying I would be charged $10 for the no-show. The issue is that the app had confirmed the correct pickup and drop-off locations in the proper order, which I documented with a screenshot. It seems the driver may have used this situation to avoid the trip and still collect a $10 fee for a bogus cancellation. Contacting customer service was nearly impossible, and navigating the app to file a complaint was frustrating and time-consuming. After about 15 minutes, I was finally informed that I would be reimbursed the $10. At the very least Lyft should verify ride cancellations with customers before applying charges. Due to the delay, we missed our seats at the concert and had to stand for the entire event. The experience was extremely disappointing.
Not happy I started taking lyft in June of this year was good for about 1 month, then every time I try to get a ride with lyft people cancel on me, in my opinion you take the good with the bad, your not always going to get that long ride for big money
Grabbed a Lyft to run to the Tiverton Casino. $18.63. Fair enough. Couple of hours later, requested a Lyft. Lyft quoted 23. I booked it. When ride was complete I got a msg asking if I wanted to leave my driver a tip. I was surprised to see Lyft charged me 53.+ for the ride quoted at 23. I tried getting in touch with anybody at Lyft...GOOD LUCK! Finally sent an in app msg to Support explaining the overcharge and requesting an adjustment. Canned response from Lyft - "as stated in our TOS there are no refunds FOR ANY REASON. I attempted contact several more times and the same canned response. I went to BBB where I explained issue. Lyft responded with the exact same canned response. I now realize that if my fair quote is $10, and Lyft accidentally charges me $1000, there are no refunds for any reason. What a freaking loser company. I exclusively use Uber now. Lyft is traveling down a bad road.

Hey lyft you overcharged me (by 5x the amount) and then made it nearly impossible to file a complaint. I will never again use your $#*!ty service. UBER has WAY better customer service channels hence making it way more likely I will use them.
1. Your support email bounced. No longer in service apparently
2. Your support phone number told me to call 911 in an emergency (no $#*! you $#*!tards)
3. I have spent over an hour entering the 20,000 bs details needed by your help online site.
4. No response on twitter
5. Response here?
Good job lyft. You do realise if youre second in industry you better be Better than the original right?
REFUND MY MONEY
FIX your $#*! support service.
FIX your awful UX
James XUR443 my lift driver was supposed to pick me up for work at 5:50am. 5:50. The app tells me he's pulling up at 5:30am I'm watching him stop the car on the app saying it said he would be on time then he persist to come 20 minutes early! 20 minutes early! Now I get to sit outside at work for at least 20 minutes so James he literally said he had to come early because he had rides after mine. I scheduled this the night before! Customer service is junk. Showing up early to pick someone up is like having your cash register over at the end of your shift meaning you messed someone over to get what you got. Garbage! BTW I work in Atlanta. I'll be sitting outside in the dark. I'll never utilize lyft ever again.

They hold my account for no reason and no body fix its mess and fake apps, after thousands of trips they couldn't promote the driver because the apps is primitive and who is design it he is limited mentality
Lyft is literally highway robbery. They'll charge you $70-$100, just to go one mile over. I've came out of $200 one day just to go to the grocery store and back home. They have ridiculous prices and if you don't want to pay a high amount, they make you wait 40mins for not paying $60 for the ride. After today I'm going back to Uber. Who wants to pay $200 just to go up the street? I feel sorry for the customers and the driver. Because after Lyft rips you off you can't even tip the driver. Smh
Lyft is the absolute worst service I have ever used. I was dropped off at the airport and all seemed okay I rated my driver good and then tipped a high percentage. Then 45 MINUTES AFTER I was dropped off my driver charged me with an $80 damage fee that I absolutely did not do. He spilled a drink in his car and then blamed it on me and Lyft costumer service was so incredibly rude. I am never ever ever the one to even write a review or complain but I have never experienced something like this before in my life. Do not use Lyft!
So I have been getting rides with Lyft for 6 years now. Most of the time I haven't had an issue but the past year I have been aced in more danger than ever before and Lyft couldn't care less. I've been on vehicles that have started going down the wrong side of the road numerous times where it could never be confused. Nevermind the one that tried to go on a roundabout the completely wrong direction. I've smacked my head numerous times due to the drivers speeding and hitting speed bumps way too hard and yet all the customer service ever says is here have 5 dollars credit but your health doesn't mean $#*!. You could have your arm chopped off and they'll tell you too bad here's $5. It's not our fault, our company says we can't do anything else. I can't in any good confidence recommend them to anyone ever again. Too bad though cuz some drivers are good but then again it's always the bad ones that the company doesn't care about that drags them down.
As a uber or lyft driver, please check rider charge after completion of ride, if it is $20 for example, lyft will take out $6 and it will show us total trip cost $14 and now again they take 25%, thta means they will take $3.50 and we will get as a lyft driver $10.50, so total lyft will make $9.50 and we ill get. $10.50 almost 50% they will take and making us fools, please some body should take action on this
In the last 2 days I have had Lyft drivers say they showed to pick me up when they did not. I subsequently requested another Lyft driver who had no problem picking me up. Then Lyft charged me $5.00 for the guy who claimed I wasn't there. Lyft is a big scam. I feel sorry for the few honest drivers they have.
Have only used this company 2 times. On Sept 3rd 2017 I caught right away someone set up a separate account with my information in a different state. I called customer service the multiple reps could not help me and hung up on me after telling me they will talk to fraud dept... mean while the ppl racked up over $100 in charges for a taxi. I called other numbers to site requested and they do t work either. I emailed2 times too and still no response. Terrible customer service, terrible companu
Dude what are you talking about? I hate Lyft. They are using the drivers for their own good. They don't care if the drivers make money, but they concern about their 25 percent regardless if the driver make money or not. Why will you send a driver to drive 20 or more minutes to pike up a rider knowing hopefully we'll the rider is just going a mile or less? And when the drive cancel you want to deactivate the driver. If still don't get it how lyft called her driver independent contractors and still can deactivate drivers for cancellation. If drivers are independent contractor, they should be able to decide if to accept or cancel a rider. Lyft is awful and that is why they can't keep drivers. Congress should start looking into the rideshare company like lyft. Crazy people.
Lyft wants to use people to do the dirty work while they make billions. Paying 1.21 per mile no one can make ends meet with pay like that. Prisoners in jail make license plates and they get paid 1.50 per hour. Lyft are all for them selves and push people to drive that you make more not true AT ALL. You don't get paid from the time you leave to pick up passenger only when they get in your car and they may have to go 3 or 4 miles you get 3.64 for that job that may have covered the gas you spent to get there. Your not getting any wheres. But Lyft is laughing at drivers as suckers. They don't respect the drivers or they wouldn't pay such low payouts.
Ordered a ride to the airport early morning hours after verification with information of the driver, received a message that the trip is canceled to rebook it again when I went in to try and rebook it again the price was triple
Do not use this company they are worst

Last month, I left my phone in the back of a Lyft and noticied my error immediatly, but the driver drove away. My wife called my phone and the driver answered, but hung up and never answered it again. I contacted Lyft support several times over the past month but nothing was done.
My phone is critical to me because I'm a very sick person, I have no reliable way to communicate with my doctors, and I'm I cannot afford a new one. I have the driver's name, car model, and liscence plate number, and I conveyed this to Lyft support, to no avail.
Deceptive and won't pay you with Express Pay within 24hrs as advertised. I returned there car early in good condition on Elston Ave in Chicago to the shady manager Steve to get my rental cost back AND my pay 4 days later which did not happen as l tried to tell him its been a horrible experience with Lyft as a driver who still hasn't received payment for the money earned. Steven could careless about delay in pay and with refunding me for my rental which he had the CRAZIEST AUDACITY TO SAY I DIDN'T PAY HIM FOR RENTAL COST. THAT IS A LIE. I PAID $350 for the rental and the deposit. Steve refused to expedite my credit and stated it will take 2 weeks before l see a credit from Flexdrive which he refused to give me the number to. I wil file a complaint with the FTC, BBB, CONSUMER AFFAIRS REGARDING LYFT NOT PAYING ME A DIME AS THERE POLICY INDICATES PAY WITHIN 24HRS. LYFT SHOULD BE SUED AND WILL BE SOON. The Chat Support and Customer service refuse to help with payment issues as well. I will file a FRAUD COMPLAINT AS WELL WITH MY BANK FOR MONEY THEY STOLE BASICALLY. PEOPLE MUST SPEAK UP ABOUT LYFT DECEIT.
Tip for consumers:
Lyft need to be INVESTIGATED FOR WITHHOLDING PAY FROM LYFT DRIVERS LIKE ME ILLEGALLY AND FOR TAKING UP TO 2 WEEKS TO REFUND RENTAL DEPOSIT.
THE MANAGER STEVE TALKS IN CIRCLES AND HE'S VERY DISRESPECTFUL WITH NO DECENCY TO HELP MAKE WRONG...RIGHT

Have 2 give driver correct address every time disgusted.
What I will like to know if I live less than 20 minutes away from work, why is Lyft charging me these prices to get home, like I living in Brooklyn or Manhattan when I am going queens to queens this is insane especially in the inflation this economy is going through where people are trying to survive. Y'all need to do better to help the people but y'all never do, only think about money all the time.
This is a review of one Lyft driver and the Lost/Found division of Lyft. On Tuesday, February 22,2022, I requested a multi-stop Lyft ride from my office, to the bank, and then home. I informed the driver this was a multi-stop ride. When I arrived to the bank to drop off some forms, the Lyft driver left while I was inside the bank. That did not disturb me. What drove me frantic is that my government issued laptop, government papers, and credentials were in the car. I contacted Lyft after this ordeal and nothing has been done. There is no record of the ride because the driver cancelled the ride after the first stop. Law enforcement is now envolved.
On 11/4 I used Lyft for the first and last time. I set up an account and ordered a ride from my home in Hillsboro, OR (next to Portland) to a Winery in Hillsboro (15 minute drive from my home). Driver was super and the ride to the winery was perfect. Later in the evening I logged into my app to order a ride home and was very surprised to find that I was now "not in their service area". Lyft provided the 8.5 mile ride one way - but was unable to get me back home. I set up an Uber account and got home via Uber. To compensate me for the inconvenience, Lyft offered 2 $5.00 credits for separate rides. The credits expire in one month. This doesn't help me at all and I asked them to cancel my account. It took 3 emails to get them to agree to deactivate my account. Not a fan of Lyft.
I booked a ride through the app. It should have been billed to my lyftpass through work, but it wasn't. I eventually was able to reach customer service and they eventually refunded my ride. A few days later I was charged $15 by the driver for a lost item. I didn't report a lost item and I believe the fee was due to my issue of having the ride refunded. Customer service refused to help and sided with the driver. They closed my chat without offering any help. Terrible experience and they allow fraudulent charges to occur. The lack of customer service is also astonishing. Avoid them if possible.
I have been workimg with lyft for 2 months as a DRIVER. And I have lost/they stole $500 in the last 4 weeks by working more than 12/day 6 days aweek. Lyft "Power Driver Bonus" is a trick to rip its drivers out. After completing the bonus they said its not working correctly and I have to wait to get paid. I am not rich and now I'm way behind my bills
I scheduled a pick up the day before for 7:10-7:20am got a conformation and a reminder in the morning. They never showed up and I was an hour late for work on the worst day to be late. Besides being late I stood in the freezing cold for 20min waiting for a buffoon who couldn't take 5 sec to let me know. This was bull $h¡t and I'll never use them ever again! Also after emailing them to tell them what happened I got a response "we are sorry you were experiencing problems with your app here's $5 credit" first off a driver not showing up after conformation and reminder has nothing to do with my app it's the driver's incompetence and shove your $5 where the sun doesn't shine!
DO NOT USE THIS APP. Fraud has happened to me using this app and I lost almost $100 in rides I DID NOT TAKE I live In Vermont where we don't have lyft so me using it isn't even in the cards. They have no phone number. No customer service and he'll they are stealing money too. Good gob lyft. Hope you get sued. (I would post my bank history if I felt comfortable with it but I sent it to lyft in my complaint and found 10 different rides that there was no possible way it was me.)
Today on 11/28/2023. Your rate price were so high. I have always paid 26 to 30 dollars for my ride. Now today they jump from 50 to 90 dollars. That is ridiculous
