I recently ordered two robes from Macy's. They are soft, roomy and I love them. Ordering from them is easy and they deliver in a short amount of time!
I ordered a jumpsuit and within 24 hours called to cancel it. Was told that the VENDOR would respond within 24-48 hours that they received the cancellation request. Haven't heard a thing and my item is still being processed. Three days later. When I click on the tracking there is nothing there. Macys customer service rep told me it shipped. I can request a refund if the item is not here in 6 DAYS? The website said 2- days.
Just a quick note to thank Maria Caputo in the Gardens Macys in Palm Beach Gardens Mall for her help in selecting a sports jacket for our son. When looking for a specific Movado watch, the website states it was a man's watch, however, when I went to buy it at the store, I stated again that I was looking for this particular watch for my husband. They found it, I bought it, brought it home, it didn't fit my husband. Turns out, they had mislabeled the watch both in their store and on their website, and when I went to the actual Movado website, the watch is a women's small. Way to get a sale idiots.
So 4mos. Ago I had them send me a new card, after receiving my card I get my bill, now being a member for years you would think they would know my one card has 2 accounts attached to it. Well it only has my American Express Acct. But not my in store account, so Macy's has been sending me a bill for an invalid account when I try to pay it, there's no account for which their sending me a bill, now this has been going on for months, and My problem is I can't understand a word any Macy's Customer Service has anymore, and they can't understand me to fix my issue there fore I'll be closing this Account. What happen to America we will sell Our Souls for a Dollar!
Ordered for the 1st time. Never shopped at Macy's before. I order online weekly at other stores with no problems. Macy's stated online that my order must ship yo store instead of my home and gave me 3 choices of locations. I chose Town East Mall. I got an email order shipped and come to my home between 10-2. Tracking showed delivered at 1:12. No package came to my home. I work from home so I was home. I called customer service twice. No clue. Just promise of a credit back. Then I get email I will get gift card credit for Macys. I DON'T WANT MACY GIFT CARD. WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. REALLY?. TERRIBLE!
Recently, I bought dresses on-line through macys.com for both the rehearsal dinner and for my daughter's wedding. The price for the mother-of-bride dress was actually $50 less than the site where I originally saw it~Win!
The problem I've had, and continue to have, is accessing My Account. Today, I tried to Log In with my (same) e-mail and password... and it said the password was wrong. I knew it WAS my password, (I'd clicked on "view it" or whatever)~but finally just chose "Reset My Password" and used... the SAME PASSWORD when I "Reset" it. So... if anyone reading this goes through this, just do what I did~although it shouldn't work, it does!
This was the second part of a split order. This portion was backlogged at the time the order was placed. It took 11 days after the initial order was placed to fill the backorder. No postage was charged on the second shipment.
I purchased a a Sapphire ring at Macy's on Nov 17 2021, as a Christmas gift, recently one of the Very Tiny and Small Diamonds came out of the setting and was lost.
Upon taking it back to the Macy's where I purchased it, less than a Year earlier, I was told that there was "NO WARRANTY" on the ring!
To Me that's BS!

Ordered GLASS PITCHERS from Macy's. Arrived a bit late and in PIECES. Have contacted them 8+ times and received NO RESPONSE! Disappointing that they don't have the courtesy or time to respond. With this company they seem to be like prison guards and MACE... YOU on customer service! Highly recommend everyone don't order FRAGILE PACKAGES or they will end up like this.

Love Macy's! They let you know when items from your wish list goes on sale, lots of discounts. Not 5 stars only because of the shipping fee $. Great experience, never had a problem.
Horrible experience and customer service. Ordered items for 1-2 business day. Items were not received timely, fee was charged. Lot of unnecessary frustration. Dont waste your time or energy!
This was a favorite store, but over the Holidays I did not want to be there anymore: messy, low ceilings that make you feel boxed-in, and the staff shine for their absence and lack of help.
I got an evening dress as a gift for my girlfriend from this store. The clothes here are kinda costly but really well-made with all the return guarantees and the exact sizing listed. Way to go!
Even with a Macy's card, you have to give bank info to them on line. Won't accept any other card but Macy's for online payment... Duh! Apparently my AmEx Platinum isn't good enough.
The call center in India had so much background chatter it was almost impossible to hear what the lady was trying to explain.
I am walking in a check today and closing my account. IF i ever buy anything fron this shopworn store, I will us any card but Macy's at the checkout
BTW, The men's department used to have men who were there to assit you in your buying decisions. Might as well go to Walmart. Target has better assistance than what is left of the rag-tag remnants of the once great Federated Department Stores.
I would love to what is in CEO Jeff Gennette's golden parachute. I would gladly take the job, and I couldn't do any worse...Maybe even a little better.

Was skeptical at first because I've never heard of Kleargear.com but they had the best price on the net. Order transaction went smooth, great communication, and fast shipment. These guys ROCK!
Love the selection here, but tend to shop it only when there are sales going on due to the higher prices. Their customer service is exceptional and we have never had a problem with an exchange.

All my experiences with the sales staff were poor. Treated as tho they were putting something over on me to purchase a more expensive product than I wanted.
I have been shopping ar Macy's for over a decade now & have yet to be disappointed. When you buy kitchen appliances, they immediately, automatically register your product for it warranty! We learned that when our 1.5 year old esspresso machine broke; we contacted cuisinart to enquire about repairs & were pleasantly surprised to find it was under waranty, registered by Macy's and 100% eligible for replacement at no charge to us.
We purchased a mattress from them and had the best customer service ever as well as an excellent price for the mattress.
We have purchsed clothing and find it to be of excellent at very reasonable prices-even when not on sale. The garments will last for decades.
Yesterday I contacted customer service regrding a mistake with my order-customer service was friendly and helpful very competent, completely resolving the issue in mere moments. They know mistakes can happen and avoid them becoming oroblems by fixing them. Excellent store. Highly recommend to everyone.
In recent years, Macy's has stepped up their game. Although sometimes I wish they had a better selection of better quality items, I've been pleasantly surprised by many very reasonably priced purchases there. They are always a go-to, and their customer service has actually improved!
EDIT: 6/2019 I'm downgrading my review. Macy's discards negative reviews, and has very inaccurate product descriptions, both of which point to a dishonest company. Attempts to discuss with "customer service" on both issues came up against a brick wall. Done.
EDIT: 11/2019 Against my better judgment, I placed additional orders with Macy's. Checked return policy, and it's 90 days. Now, as I try to process returns, I'm told that for some items, it's 30 days. This was not stated in my order confirmations. I tried to call, and they outsource their phone CS to a foreign country, and because the agent could not really speak English, that went nowhere. I then tried chat, and it's that lovely new, useless automated chat. After going around in circles for a while, I was finally able to get a live agent, who did tell me I could return the items and she sent me UPS labels. We'll see if the refunds go through...
Macy's does have some great sales, but I don't think it's worth all this hassle. Really shi**y of them to have exceptions to return policy and not indicate that on the order confirmation.
I bought a printer about three months ago and still didn't receive it, I tried to contact customer service but no one answers, I don't recommend this at all. I'd give 0 stars if it was possible.
Very bad company they will fine you 3500 dollars for posting a negative comment after you purchase something and never get it please be careful sites like theses should be taken down.
Plenty of ONE STAR ratings say it all! I wish I had NEVER signed up for a Macy's Credit Card, so here is my tip if you MUST shop there (for me it is a LAST resort, after trying EVERY other store in town.) When you make a purchase using a Macy's card, IMMEDIATELY use your Debit Card to pay off the purchase. I recently learned this was an option. My bill is often incorrect and when I pay an incorrect balance they sock me with outrageous fees which lower my PERFECT credit score, not to mention dealing with the rude and dismissive telephone representatives - no wonder, they are probably treated as badly (or worse) than the customers. STAY AWAY!
Tip for consumers:
After a purchase, use your debit card to pay it off immediately. The fees close in on usury and are VERY often the fault of Macy's, but the motto is, "We don't care, We don't have to."
After watching CNN just now, I'm in shock that kleargear would treat customers to terribly and then have the nerve to fine them after they wrote their review. Un-$%# believable.
