I recently ordered two robes from Macy's. They are soft, roomy and I love them. Ordering from them is easy and they deliver in a short amount of time!
I ordered a jumpsuit and within 24 hours called to cancel it. Was told that the VENDOR would respond within 24-48 hours that they received the cancellation request. Haven't heard a thing and my item is still being processed. Three days later. When I click on the tracking there is nothing there. Macys customer service rep told me it shipped. I can request a refund if the item is not here in 6 DAYS? The website said 2- days.
Bought online a pair of earrings for my wife at $650.00 ($1,600 retail supposedly)when they arrived they were inside a zip lock bag like the one you would buy a pound of ham from the deli. Apparently Macys is too cheap and disrespectful to their customers to at least put them in a, 25 cent cardboard box. I left an email to Macys customer non service days ago and all I hear are crickets. I was in their store in the Freehold mall and was surprised at the sparse stock and condition of the store stock. Macys at one time was an elite store but no longer now they have fallen into the discount store venue. I have had a Macys card since 1985 and think it is time to close the useless account. Macy's is the what now I love for buying clothes online. It's became my first preference for online shopping. I just gave it a shot and it worked all fine. I had a doubt on a certain dress and just sent a message to the customer service. They came back very fast and answered all my questions politely. The payment process went perfect and the order placed successfully. The price is somewhat high but the quality and service is value for your money. Just loved the dress and I recommend it for all. Thumbs up!
I have made the choice not to shop at Nordstrom's after a nasty experience in attempting to purchase display boots (that looked worn and broken in) along with a "snobbier-than-thou" attitude from Nordstrom. All of which put me back into the arms of my first love, Macy's. I have never had a problem returning and item, even online purchases and never had a problem with them replacing a defective product. Still number one in my book.
An order got canceled because it was sold out. I paid some of it with a gift card and the rest was charged to my credit card. They said the refund would go back to the gift card. However, the balance is zero. I reached out to customer support. They are a nightmare as none of them know how to do their job. Nothing was resolved and the customer reps lied to me. There is still no resolution. Macy's does not care about their customers. Avoid them at all cost.

Will never, ever, ever purchase furniture from Macy's again. Or anything else for that matter! The company is committing downright fraud in my opinion. Not honoring online offers, not sending items, or sending incorrect items with no way to return them. It's just deplorable. No way to resolve issues, and Customer Service simply LIES to you over chat or over the phone!

Avoid like the plague. There is always a problem, and it never gets resolved. They randomly charge your card, and there is no one to contact to get charges removed.

I ordered two feather and down comforters from Macy's that were on sale for $49.99. They offered 2 free pillows with each comforter. Well I recieved the comforters and no pillows. And because the ad has been already removed, customer service is telling my there was never such offer! I also ordered two blankets with the same offer. I'm waiting to see if the pillows will come with them.
I spend a lot of money with Macy's each year. This is first time I've ever had a problem with them. However, if this isn't rectified, it will be the last time I have a problem with them. I'll take my money elsewhere.

Macy's made the error, They lost my card, screwed up my bill, never billed me and charged a late fee. I never got a bill. I couldn't reach a human being. I didn't have a credit card # to pay my bill. Once I got a human being I paid for the merchandise but they said they would remove the late fee.

I completely regret using Macy's for my wedding registry. They have messed up with several items, there were constantly glitches with the registry, and I had to sit on chat/the phone with support for over THREE HOURS to correct their mistake. I am beyond frustrated with this company. If you do a search online, they have so many bad reviews. I wish I knew this before setting up my registry here.
I have only purchased one thing from Macy's online. It was a closet organizer piece during the Holiday season. I chose the slow boat shipping option and earned five dollars in Macy money. It actually came in a reasonable amount of time. It was packaged well and I was happy.
I purchased 4 sweaters all on the same date, all for the same price, all the same brand. Macy's' website touts a 90-day return policy. I tried to return 2 of them today and it would not let me return one. The chat customer service representative was pretty useless and could not point me to anything on the website explaining why one was subject to a 30-day return policy. She just kept saying I needed to read the website. (Hmm, wish I'd thought of that LOL). Attempting to call customer service was even worse. Could not reach a live human being. I guess live and learn - notwithstanding a policy that says clothes have a 90-day return policy, sometimes they don't. At random. And don't expect to be able to reach a live human being by calling without a herculean effort.
Horrible customer service. This is the second time I have had an order cancelled without notification via email or phone. When I find out three weeks later, the manager I spoke to was condescending and couldn't accommodate me for being inconvenienced. To top it off the items that I originally ordered are out of stock and it's a week before Christmas. My mother is going to be so disappointed. I have a Macy's credit card and I had my wedding registry there. I will cancel my credit card, never shop at Macy's again and I will be sure to let the world know of my experience!
Canceled my order 3 times i had rush delivery for christmas. The worst customer service and fraud department ever. I would never shop online or at the store ever again. Over 600$ taken out of my card and they wanted another form of payment. They are joke.
I order children's clothing from Macy's on line and find it extremely convenient especially when they are on sale plus additional percentage discounts. My only drawback is as with a lot of well known clothing stores on line, there is a minimum amount you need to spend to receive free shipping. Thus, if you are shopping, as I do for the holidays, it is well worth going through the selection process and place an order on line. Macy's in my area, Newington, NH, is very nice, has a variety of clothing, make-up and housewares and is a well stocked store; It is convenient and has a lot of parking available. The associates are very pleasant and are always there to help the customer.
I purchased a luggage set on July 7th that I needed for a vacation. It was sent to the wrong address and the company required that it be returned and once received resent. The reps were rude and not helpful. It took 3 calls with elevations to a supervisor and their refusal to give me a corporate contact. I still do not have the luggage over a month later as the warehouse received the return but did not resent. I contacted them again today and the order was just cancelled. I would not recommend working with a company such as this that has poor customer support, lack of proper service, unable to admit their mistakes and very unorganized. Not worth the trouble. Shop elsewhere!
I purchased two jackets and a pair of jeans from Macy's.com when I received the items the jeans were too big for me and one jacket had a broken zipper so I returned them to the local Macy's store near me and they processed a return and said it would be credited back to my credit card. Well here it is 12 days later and still I have not received my credit for my return. I called Macy's and they say oh don't worry you will receive it but we aren't sure when probably in 30 days. I've never return some thing and it takes 30 days to credit my account back. I don't like how Macy's is now I don't know what happened but I've ordered 1 million things from them and never have I received an item with a broken zipper or when I return something it takes this long to get your money back. I will not be shopping at Macy's any longer.
The only major construction in downtown La Jolla in 30 years was the gigantic 2-story Macy's.
La Jolla is a small version of Beverly Hills. It closed.

There used to be this show on PBS about a department store in London. All these people on their toes to help the customer. Macy's is staffed by somnambulists. They are asleep.

I was going to order from them but learned that if you are not happy with them and give them a negative review, they will fine you for $3,500. If you don't pay, they'll direct you to a collection agency and damage your credit rating thus ruining your credit and leave you with higher interest rates; meaning you spend more money to pay your bills. Sorry not this time.
Satisfied with the store, sent everything the right size, color, and price listed on the site, which is now a rarity. The only thing I don't like is that the photos are made with Photoshop, so the reality does not always correspond to what is desired, which is reflected in the models.
I like Macy's sale racks and coupons. The deals are very good and I usually find interesting stuff there. The sales associates are good about helping you make the most of coupons. The store atmosphere is very congenial. They don't seem to have damaged goods as much as the Rack and are much better organized. They have great perfumes, costume jewelry, and household items - we have purchased large pieces of furniture and kitchen goods there.
Two days ago, place order for shoes as Christmas gift for my wife. Order went thru and charged my card. Shortly after email stating one item was removed. Asked if still wanted the rest of item, I acknowledge yes.
Check my card, they charge my card again.
Today I made to online purchase of two different orders. One order went through.
The other acknowledge the charge, Shortly after it email saying it was canceled.
Check iT was trying to show pickup was in Oregon, not Woodlands, Tx.
I reorder making sure it was here, something happened. Check my card and low and behold, I had two charges, totally $400.00. Call customer service and went through all the verification and they wanted to place the order again and charge my card again. They said it will refund you in 7,-10 days it be ok. No after 3-bad charges on my credit card for $600.00 by Macy's, it NOT OK.
Do not do Business with them, they do not care about you. It sales numbers for them!

Purchase was to come with free gift if purchased online. Did not happen & the excuse was as long as their supplies lasted!
Next online order November 30th, emailed CS many times, always in transit. CS on Christmas eve told me I did not receive it & they get with me in the next 24 hours! One of my finds missed Christmas because of "Failure" of Customer Service to do their job. Plenty of time to make it right... They just don't care! Never... Never shop online with them!

I've bought a dress here for my friend's wedding. It was really beautiful! I looked well at the celebration. I washed it and decided to wear two weeks later and... The dress just ripped open! It has now been more than a month since I bought it so can't even return it.
More than anything, when shopping, the need for customer service is paramount.
Mr Boyd was, above all, extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product that I was interested in buying, and which I proceeded to purchase. He also told me of the benefits I would recieve should I apply for a Macy's card, which I did with enthusiasm. I thank him for his time and service.
Macy's have the worst service. You ask to speak with a supervisor and no one literally comes to the phone. I wanted for over an hour and nothing. Macy's should be embarrassed that this once respected institution has come to this. Imagine
Ordering a pair of earrings being told the courier lost the item. I asked for the item to be re- shipped and was told I would receive a tracking number. When this never happened after a week I called again and received so many apologies for being unconvinced and that was after waiting for over an hour. I was asked again if I wanted it re-shipped again. I laughed and just asked for a refund. Of course the refund will take 5 days. Business days of course. Macy's is trash.
Ordered a few items years ago and never had a problem. However, these past few moths, I have been trying to contact someone (ANYONE) to inquire on order status. Had to cancel transaction thru credit card company! This company is a nightmare! Never again!
