I visited Macy's store at 151 W 34 St. On 9/28/23 to see what Winter Coats were on sale in the Men's Department. I met a Representative name Thurman right away. He was polite attentive with helping me finding what I was looking for. I went in with the mindset to purchase (1) coat, but I ended up purchasing (2) coats. I was Ecstatic with the Color, Size that were available in store. I'll be recommending Macy's to Families and Friends; especially the holiday season, around the corner. I'll be adding more suits, shirts, ties, shoes etc soon, to my wardrobe, especially for the work I do. I'll be for sure asking Thurman for his help again, because of the Professionalism he showed me, at our first meeting, usually you don't find that too often.
I bought from this store for more than 3 years, everything was good, I was satisfied. But last time, my friend decided to give me a gift and pay for the order. The security department didn't like this and they canceled my order but at the same time froze my money. I understand that everyone has their own security criteria, this is normal, but for the past 11 days I have been asking them to send a request to my bank to cancel the operation so that the money can be returned to me. Although in the letter that Macy's sent me they wrote that they had sent such a request. My bank said that they didn't receive request and then in the correspondence Macy's accidentally let it slip that I should wait for the automatic unlocking to take place according to the bank's rules. It mean they weren't going to sent request. But I don't want to wait that long! I write to them every day for 11 days, they answer with long phrases and do not want to send this request. I am very disappointed in the store that they behave so rudely with regular customers. I have all the correspondence.
The "Smart Robotic" may be smart but I would never know as I cannot get past Step #1. It appears to be very poorly made and of very poor quality. All I want is to return them.There is no way to do this.,Please advise
I had bought a dress for a relative overseas who received the dress but it didn't fit, I called customer service to facilitate a return, I explained the whole situation to the rep who emailed me a barcode for return, I sent the dress, and after 2 weeks, I received the dress in a back in a bad shape. I called again to understand what's going on, and I was lucky to get the same rep who deleted her notes from the system and told me that dress can not be returned, I asked for a supervisor who would check the phone calls but the supervisor was at a party! Couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her, instead of helping me and listen to the recorded call, she was repeating what the rep said.
The worst rep and the worst supervisor!
By the way I found same dress in Burlington but $30 cheaper, now on I'm shopping at Burlington without the hassle of Macy's!

Upon checkout the cashier had a very difficult time
Putting the coupon thru. Finally she called custmr service and I had to speak to a rep. After putting me on hold 2x he finally said I'll just put a $10 credit onto ur account and you'll see it next billing

I'm sent coupons I go to use them and cashiers can't process the sale...This was not on the sales person she was lovely and very understanding and apologetic...
Then I go downstairs to housewares in basement.
I ask a sales person where are the vacuums she states we dont have vacuums. I walk about 30ft and theres a whole display of vacuums.
So my overall interaction with Macys was Not very favorable and Im considering closing my account
The store has completely changed.many depts & labels are no longer on floor. I use to shop there and have to put things back because I would find so much I liked. Not anymore...same with childrens dept. Merchandise is poorly made yet expensive
We ordered Krofton 3 pc furniture sofa, and a loveseat with a console in between (3 pc). This purchase was made in Macy's store in Oakland Mall, Michigan. The sales person - Susan Marie Oguguo - promised to deliver all pieces within a week. On the delivery day, only 5 pieces came and the console was missing. After a lot of phone calls to the store and customer service, plus patiently waiting each time to reach a live person, we found out that the console was put in a different order with a delivery date of one month later. This was never shared with us. A month later the missing piece came but this time it was a wrong piece. Instead of console, Susan had ordered an armless chair. We didn't know this earlier. It took another few days and multiple phone calls to figure out what happened. No one was picking up the phone call at the store and even after leaving multiple voicemails no one returned our call. Overall, the service was so bad that we couldn't get any answer. Finally I was able to get hold of Susan. She apologized first for her mistake, but then didn't correct it at all. It took me another 7 days to kept on calling to find out when the missing piece was going to come. No response from Susan or anyone from Macy. Out of frustration, I cancelled the console order. We are really frustrated with the whole experience. I am writing this so everyone is aware of what they could be dealing with, and hopefully no one should go through this bad service.
This same rug sells for $65 cheaper at Bed Bath and Beyond with totally free shipping. This rug is $276.67 at Bed Bath and Beyond without sales tax. Macy's advertised free shipping but added $30 onto item due to it's size and weight. I paid $311.02 for this rug plus $30 shipping and $26.36 tax for a total of $367.38. I will not buy from Macy's again. I will check other suppliers next time.
I purchased a mattress from Macy's for a new home we built in rural WI. I spoke with someone on the phone to place the order. During the call, she asked me for me delivery date preference; I scheduled delivery (which was a $200 charge for white glove delivery) for 9/27/2023. Over the next three days, I received five separate emails from Macy's, confirming our delivery date of 9/27 and that we would receive a call the day before with the delivery window.
On 9/27, received a text notifying me that delivery would occur that day. No delivery. I called Macy's and was told, for the very first time, that the delivery date of 9/27 was when the mattress would be delivered to the transport service that would deliver it to our home on some future date. They stated the transport service would contact us in 5-7 business days to schedule the delivery.
Nowhere in FIVE emails nor an in-person phone call did anyone ever share that this delivery date was not, in fact, the delivery date for us as the consumer. We had guests coming to visit on 9/29 and, as a result of this, they have nowhere to sleep. I've yet to hear from the transport company and, when I call Macy's to ask for the name and contact info of the transport company, they tell me they do not have this information.
Purchased a 10k gold beaded ankle bracelet for my wife's Christmas present only to learn that the 10k gold has now turn brown. I try multiple ways to get a credit or exchange but they have told me that they can't after 30 days. This will be the last time I will use Macy's for anything. Simply put, don't get fooled by the low prices and misleading descriptions.

If you use the star rewards and you would like to return/void the whole transaction, you won't get the money you paid for, even after they reduce the star rewards amount you use. For example, if you use $50.00 earned star rewards, and you decide to return the item(s) within the 30-day return policy, for some reason, it will give you $90 less. They explained to me that we still can give you back $50 in star rewards, so I could use it next time; OK, that's fine; but, why did they give me $90 less for what I paid out of my pocket? If the transaction is completely void, you lose the rewards star money but get the exact money you paid for. I already reached out to their corporate office and talked to Chris, but no solution or a good explanation. That's Macy's new approach, which I believe is wrong, and I'll report to the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection for further review.
9/19/23, I went to Macy in AZ chandler mall, I purchased skin care products, the paper bag was too small, I asked a manager to give me a bigger plastic bag to put my purchased items in, she said no, store policy not allow to give to me another plastic bag, she only can switch my small paper bag to a bigger plastic bag. She was not happy and roughed, checked all my purchase items and switched a plastic bag for me. I never be treat like this service before in Macy.
