I recently ordered two robes from Macy's. They are soft, roomy and I love them. Ordering from them is easy and they deliver in a short amount of time!
I ordered a jumpsuit and within 24 hours called to cancel it. Was told that the VENDOR would respond within 24-48 hours that they received the cancellation request. Haven't heard a thing and my item is still being processed. Three days later. When I click on the tracking there is nothing there. Macys customer service rep told me it shipped. I can request a refund if the item is not here in 6 DAYS? The website said 2- days.
Internet businesses like this one should go bankrupt along with their self-serving owners who cares about nothing but personal gain. They think they can treat customers like crap because they can hide their ugly faces from customers over the internet.
I love shopping online with Macy's. They always fill my orders quickly and they have excellent customer service. Returns are easy and I never have to fight to get my money back. Too bad all companies can't be like Macy's.
I purchased a secret santa gift almost a month ago and even paid for shipping and haven't received my product yet. The phone number listed for customer service is inactive and they haven't replied to my email a week later. This is a horrible company to do business with and I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere.
I ordered a University of Tennessee hoodie for my daughter, for a Christmas present, on 11/23/23. The package arrived on 11/30/23, but was an entirely different item. Contacted Customer Service on 11/30/23 and was told they would send the correct item and asked that I return the incorrect item. The replacement item was under the same order number and tracking number (USPS). The confirmation email I received stated the item would be delivered on 12/5/23…but it never arrived. Contacted Customer Service again on 12/6/23 and the person couldn't find where the replacement item had been sent or even processed. After about 20 minutes on hold with the representative, he finally said he "found" the replacement order and it would be delivered on 12/6/23 by UPS. It, of course, never arrived. He couldn't find a tracking number for it or any other information. I definitely will NEVER order anything from Macy's again, nor will I ever shop in one of their stores.
Tip for consumers:
Macy’s online shopping is ridiculous. And their Customer Service Center is outsourced, so there is a language barrier when talking to their representatives.

I used no products, because the item I ordered was not what I received. They said they reshipped the correct item, but it never arrived either.
If you use the star rewards and you would like to return/void the whole transaction, you won't get the money you paid for, even after they reduce the star rewards amount you use. For example, if you use $50.00 earned star rewards, and you decide to return the item(s) within the 30-day return policy, for some reason, it will give you $90 less. They explained to me that we still can give you back $50 in star rewards, so I could use it next time; OK, that's fine; but, why did they give me $90 less for what I paid out of my pocket? If the transaction is completely void, you lose the rewards star money but get the exact money you paid for. I already reached out to their corporate office and talked to Chris, but no solution or a good explanation. That's Macy's new approach, which I believe is wrong, and I'll report to the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection for further review.
I ordered some furniture through Macy's website and it was an astounding experience. The product was excellent, delivered on time, and assembled. It was terrific. On the other hand, I get so frustrated trying to order online. If you are not having it delivered to your home address, their "security software" cancels the order every time. I now order online and then pick it up at the store. A little more cumbersome but necessary if I want to order Macys products.
I generally love that I can find clothes and intimate apparel at Macys, can try it on to see how it fits, and have the apparel the same day. The issue is that this is the third time Macys employees have neglected to remove the sensor tags. This last time it was excruciatingly frustrating because I was getting dressed for a wedding when I saw the tag was still on, and thus I was unable to wear the beautiful dress to my friend's wedding. The dress had been carefully covered by the white Macy's bag so I never went to inspect it for tags. Two out of the three times this happened, the Macys employees did not even apologize. It takes me an hour out of my day to visit Roosevelt Field Mall—the least they could have done was apologized profusely for their mistake. I was really looking forward to wearing that dress to this special occasion, and it couldn't happen.
Thank the LORD above for Macy's. I got a lot of my husbands clothing for work and his cruise from here and was amazed how fast shipping was and was super excited to see him strut around in beautiful clothing that finally fit him.
Do not place an online order with Macy's! They tell you something is in stock, claim that they have shipped the order so they can charge your credit card but they don't actually ship it. They then sit on your money for an indefinite period before they return it to you.
I am sympathetic to Covid related delays and shortages but why do the debit your credit card before they ship? If they don't have stock just say so and don't tale my money!
Tip for consumers:
They will debit your credit card before they ship even if they have no idea if/when the item will ship.

I ordered an artificial Christmas tree but have not received it.
Extremely disappointed with the return policy. They did not even make an exception knowing I had already bought a different size of the same pair of shoes. The rep on the phone did not even want to ask the supervisor for a remedy, only kept repeating that this is the new return policy. Macys was always the store where customer service made sure the customer was first and was happy. No matter the situation they will make an exception to please the customer. They have changed for the worst, unfortunately.
Remember when Macy's was a quality high-end store? Well, now it's a chinese, DEI junk store. I've rec'd clothes unfinished, torn, tagless and really poor quality. I have been waiting for a $150 refund for 8 weeks. 3 phone calls later and I'm told I'll have it in 5 days. I've been told this twice before so not really optimistic. If you are lucky you get an English speaking person. Most likely you will get someone with a high-pitched heavily accented voice from the Philipines.
Macy's needs to take notes from AMAZON as to customer service, shipping and refunds.
Tip for consumers:
Switch to Nordstrom or L&T - slightly better service, quicker shipping and refunds - although L&T return shipping is not free.

It doesn't matter the POLICY for refunds....I receive some in record time and there have been a few which have taken me over 8 weeks to get.
Placed an order Sunday after Thanksgiving using 2 gift cards and "sharing" credit. Got order confirmation 1 item missing- gift cards not applied. Then got email all items cancelled due to incomplete address ( which showed compete on order) called customer service- she kept giggling and said to wait until tomorrow and was reading prewritten reponses.
Order has been obliterated- not showing in my account at all and keep getting prewritten emails about " solving my issue successfully " just got a notice of new bill from them but can't review it because site is broken. Macy's where have you gone?:-(
Label was created, package was lost. Refund was processed never received not even a confirmation # was received, was told refund was denied after l called to get update which means if l don't call never would they process refund for the second time. So now l have to wait another 10 days to receive refund totalling close to 30 days, very rude Supervisor Ken, & representative Angie.
Macys totally screwed up my online order. They shipped me a package with my name on it and someone else's order inside. After several calls to their customer service center, which happens to be located outside the country,(thanks for giving those US jobs away!), they still couldn't distinguish between an actual jacket and a sweatshirt. They even sent UPS over 2x to the wrong address for a pick up and then reissued an order that I never placed. What idiots, truly. I'm not surprised they are closing stores. You've were warned.
Tip for consumers:
Don't.

None. They said the order shipped then cancelled it. They were clueless on what I actually ordered.
Ordered a purse as a gift for Christmas. Was given the run around by an Ahole called Sharma K. Some bozo supervisor named Isabel ******* does little to rectify the fact her agent clealrly lied on the transcript. JThis companies has gone to absolute $#*!. Macy's blow me you'll never see a dollar from me ever again.
Tip for consumers:
Dont shop Macys. Lord forbid you have to deal with their customer service it will ruin your whole day zero competency. Used to be such a great company. Hopefully Amazon runs these Aholes into the ground
I've been an avid shopper for decades and just had the best experience ever with a department store salesperson. Fatime works in the Women's Sportswear section of Macy's 34th Street in New York. Not only was she pleasant, knowledgeable, and accommodating, but she went out of her way to help me get discounts that I wouldn't have known were available. Her manager, Brent, was also congenial and obliging. The store is a better place with them on staff.

Casual pants, designer brands.
They were rude and condescending. I was over charged 100.00 and they would not reverse the charge. Now I have to wait to dispute with the bank which can take up to 90 days. This was their error not mine. I do NOT recommend their devices
Tip for consumers:
Extremely dissatisfied. When I was asked to hold, I heard all the laughing in the background. Mary Chionne needs a class on respect.
I was on the phone for well over an hour just to get no customer empathy

None. I have not received them.
Purchased a mattress at Macy's a month ago (Labor Day Sale). They told me I had 30 days to return it. To return this item, it will cost me nearly $1,000.00. Greedy commercialism! I was not told by the salesman before I made the purchase. When I spoke with the agent on the phone about the return, she said that they have it posted in the mattress department. I NEVER saw it posted anywhere, it must be hidden inconspicuously somewhere. BUYER BEWARE.
This company sues their customers & blackmails them via credit scoring agencies if they dare say anything negative about them. BEWARE

I can say that utilizing Macy's website has been a much stressful experience than heading to the flagship store to make a purchase. I'm sure like many of you standing on long lines is one process we can all do without. So moving forward the things I like about the site. 1st lots of options, 2nd you always have options to save utilizing the saving pass, membership rewards etc. 3rd I love the fact that your purchases are personalized by a Thank you card. It makes you feel appreciated for your patronage. I hope my review was helpful
Prefer paying bills online. Logged into site and tried to pay our Macy's credit card bill. Couldn't find in our account where to pay. It kept prompting me to add our credit card, so I tried, but it said it already had it. Then I found a tiny Pay Bill link at the bottom of the page. Clicked it and it brought me back to the same page. Tried this a few times with variations. No luck. How stupid to not make it easy for your customers to pay their bills!
Did not receive a gift card ordered online. Contacted customer service; terrible service. To get a refund was going to take 5 days and to reorder was going to take at least 2 weeks.
Never again will I order anything online.
To add insult to injury, the gift finally arrive a couple of days later; however, it had been canceled by that time
Macy's is excellent in pricing and customer service. At least where I shop. I love the value savings that they send out. I love plenti points and I love their share programs at Christmas! I have never had a problem with returns they are simple and easy.
It's one of those dept stores that is a 'go to' for a vast plethora of items. They sell housewares and fashions and pretty much everything else... they do it well--I've always had a positive experience here. It's a staple of capitalism:-)
Apparently this once great company has shlved their customer service department for online. There is no way to reach them, whether you use phone, email, message, or chat. The only reply you get is a generic response from a bot.
There are literally hundreds of complaints on their FB pages, which they also ignore.
Beware before teying to purchase from them online.
