I recently ordered two robes from Macy's. They are soft, roomy and I love them. Ordering from them is easy and they deliver in a short amount of time!
I ordered a jumpsuit and within 24 hours called to cancel it. Was told that the VENDOR would respond within 24-48 hours that they received the cancellation request. Haven't heard a thing and my item is still being processed. Three days later. When I click on the tracking there is nothing there. Macys customer service rep told me it shipped. I can request a refund if the item is not here in 6 DAYS? The website said 2- days.
Macy's owes me a refund and their policy states that refunds are issued back to your original form of payment. Well Macy's screwed up and sent me a gift card. I did not ask for a gift card, nor do I want one. I have called customer service four times in a month because I still haven't received the funds back to my credit card. Each time someone different tells me a different time frame to expect my refund! They had to zero out the card they erroneously issued me and then send the money back to my card. How on Earth does this take 21-30 business days to refund my account and they received my return on 12/10 and today is 1/12? Where is my refund? It's 2024 and this is Macy's! Horrible service and I am never shopping with Macy's again. Every year I buy loads of presents for my family. Not anymore. Absolutely absurd. You should take your business elsewhere.
The Portage, Michigan store is run down and dirty. The floors are filthy. There is not enough staff to ring up customers. It takes a long time to get your order rang up because they focus so much on having a Macy's credit card. The interest rate for the Macy's card is so high - 29%. The store is outdated and run down.

I purchased a formal dress $179.00 for a wedding in Dominican Republic, spend $1280 to travel with my husband. I tried the dress it fit perfect but the lady helping me had a hard time closing the zipper. I asked her if she felt this was good because I was traveling to a wedding abroad, she said its not a problem.
Well sure thing i got to the wedding and the zipper was wide open 20 minutes later, 100% defective. I had to leave the wedding and miss the whole event. I went back to the store today and customer service in Macys at westland (including the supervisor)said the dress was used and with a broker zipper and can't issue a refund. This is sooo abusive, Highway Robbery, they sell a defective dress and then call it broken and used. DO NOT BUY FROM MACYS! I am closing my account with them.
The Women's Shoes department at Cross County shopping mall has no heat. The employees are wearing their jackets and winter accessories while they are on the selling floor. I overheard the employees complaining that managers are not addressing their concerns. This has been happening since Thursday January 25th. Today is Sunday January 28th and it is still cold in the department.
Management needs to address this immediately to protect their employees.
Ordered a suitcase 12/31/23, after several confusing emails, the order is backlogged. Called customer service 01/08/24 to cancel since there is no possible date of delivery. No confirmation received for cancellation, today another email saying order is coming but no date. Will call again tomorrow. This is insane.

I ordered a pickup item from the nearest Macy's store. After waiting several days and not receiving an invitation to pick up, I called support. They told me that the item was not in the store and they would be happy to send it to me by mail for free and quickly. I agreed. After waiting another week and not seeing any movement, I called support again. There, instead of finding my item, they asked me several times for my personal data, my husband's data, countless times, they confused the numbers on my order - they don't understand the word zero. They were very rude to me and shouted at me if they tapped out the numbers incorrectly.In the background of my interlocutor, children's screams and the clinking of iron utensils could be heard. This is how they conduct customer support. Terrible and disgusting
I paid the extra $10 to make shipping faster. One hour after I ordered the Christmas gift I noticed it was shipping on 12/26. I called to cancel and they said it is "too late" because it has been processed. What?!?! It's processed and going to sit until 12/26 before someone physically grabs the package and I CANNOT cancel. Buyer beware! Terrible customer service. I ordered same product from Amazon for $40 less and being delivered on 12/24. This is how companies go out of business!

No cancellation policies because it’s processing. I’m not sure how long process processing takes for most companies but six days seems extensive. There seems to have a lot of room in that six days to allow customer to cancel the order which they will not. I bought the product on Amazon and it is being delivered on 12–24

I would just like to enter that I ordered online a pair of diamond earrings that were on sale at the time for $700. I called Macy's to tell them I did not receive the package and I would still like the item. Initially, they said that that was fine subsequently I received an email that said not only were they not going to send me the product but that I would be charged for the product that I never received. I have been a customer of Macy's for more than 15 years and never had a problem like this before shame on them. At least I understand why they won't re-ship the item because the price went up $300. Bad business.!
Macy's does not care about the customer at all. A package is lost and they will not help. Keep telling me to comeback 24 hours and it will be delivered. You can tell that the package is lost but keep giving me the same answer. I have had problems with other companies and they solve the issue right then and there. Those companies go above and beyond to help their customers. Macy's does not care about their customers.

NOT ORDER online from Macy's! Placed an order a week ago. The item was in stock. It's been a week and it is still in the processing stage. I contacted Macy,s. After being on hold for 20 minutes all they said is that I would need to wait for at least another 10-12 days! If you need an item from Macy's, go directly to the store or better yet, order or buy it from another merchant.
Impossible to get any service on the chat line, mostly incompetent personnel who cut you off when they no longer want to explain their errors or their incompetence. Returned an online purchase, was given a partial refund, the balance was apparently (they claimed) applied to Star Reward program which was never credited! Chatted twice with CS and got no answer for the zero balance weeks after return! Going not just Kohl's way, now probably JCP way as well. Good luck!

their chat line is manned by folks not properly trained in CS and cut you off when they don't want to answer legitimate questions about their screw-ups. Impossible to get hold of someone live without waiting for hours on toll-free line, if you are lucky to find the number (not listed anymore on the website, just have to google it!)

Employees are unprofessional, unpleasant, and disrespectful.
At men's coat department, lady at the register told me "you should know your sons size, you're his mom", and "Is 60% off not enough for you, you want more?" "DO you want more""
And of course, I didn't get "thank you "or "have a nice day", she just angrily turned to the next customer.

I have spent a month trying to get a return label or QR code! I live in a remote area of the Smoky Mountains with limited internet that won't download the code and I'm 4 hrs from closest Macy's. I have called. Tried to chat. Contacted corporate without any luck. The foreign customer service has no idea what I'm asking. It's not in the script! So no idea how I can return these. I'm not driving 8 hrs round trip. This is why I shop at Amazon. No issues. Won't order from Macy's again. Please hire American Employees! Seriously.

The upper and heel have wrinkles, the soles are gray and even one sole is attached with two staples!
I am not in the States currently, so the shoes have to be forwarded by international shipping. I don't even know if it is worth returning them by paying an international shipping fee again.

I purchased an item online and had to return. The item was received and marked accordingly. Their policy that pops up says refund will be issued in 3-5 days with no specification on type of payment. I called because it had been over a week. I was told that was only for Macy's credit card purchases and any other form if payment would be 10-14 business days. I used a Discover card so I am supposed to wait 3 weeks. That is absurd and unacceptable and not what the return policy states. I will never shop online at Macy's again

Absolutely disgusting! The company sent my Xmas gifts to wrong address. After 3 phone calls the China based customer service said they would route then to correct address. Guess where they sent them! Back to macys! Now these items are sold out and I have to deal with last minute nonsense!

I ordered a sofa in early September online. Checked status in early October where they told me it would be coming around mid November. Heard nothing so reached out to customer service Nov 9 only for them to tell me my order had been canceled due to the item being discontinued and "someone was supposed to reach out to me". Tried getting hold of someone a degree higher to see what they could do for me. Got nothing but "sorry for your frustration " sentiments and no offer to remedy this as a consumer who had entered into a contract with them to provide an item they failed to deliver. Just in the black hole of zero customer service and zero class. They have shown me that it's not worth paying for the Macy's name as you'll get no better service than the rest of the online circus.
Meanwhile Macy's had emailed me to rate my purchase several times to review an item I never received. They also continued to advertise the sofa on their website.
I've been shopping at Macy's for years. It's a high-quality department store and I'm very happy with it. The furniture is an always the best quality it's medium. But certain brands are very high-quality and they have sales on those items often. It's important to always check out the companies and Macy's will return items and they also give good shipping rates if you live into places and you need furniture in another place. We live in Orlando and we are in Vermont. I just recently bought a really nice living room set. Very pleased with the quality!
Macy's went out bad. They need to start closing stores. I ordered on line after Christmas and only 1 item will be delivered January 10th and the other items January 12th. A store I trusted. Well I will start ordering from Shein like everybody else. A big disappointment. Just close

I ordered my friend a birthday present - wanted to spoil her on her special day! I was excited for her to open it! It never arrived When I called I was told that my package couldn't get delivered because the address was a PO BOX. Why in the world it let me make an order that couldn't get delivered? To make matters worse - I accidentally put my friend's address as billing, so the rude agent in the phone refused to give me any information about it and said that my friend has to call herself. I asked for manager and they put me on hold for 40 minutes and then dropped me. What an awful customer service and unreliable company! Never again!
Was promised the item by the 20th of December before the holiday. It never showed up. I contacted and they said it had been delayed. (Until the 27th) "There's nothing we can do, it's the holiday". No apology, no compensation. I even offered to purchase a new one if they would cover expedited shipping. Nope. Can I speak with a supervisor? Nope. Rudest customer service I've ever encountered. First off, don't promise delivery by a certain date if you are unable to fulfill the promise. It's just a trick to get you to buy. Luckily, I found a WAY cheaper bottle at Sam's club. Returning this JUST so THEY can't have my money. Never will I buy from macys again.
