“Excellent, free, webmail. I've had an account 9yrs”

Since 2013 I've had my account. It has typical features. I have 12 folders added to sort mail. It has good spam control. Aft I got familiar with its differences find is easy to use, as any other free webmail.

Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled I wonder how can they stay on the market with such a miserable service Perhaps they pay some freelancer from india, balgladesh or pakistan to code their mail.com webmail Maybe that's a love story between mail.com and the pakistani programmer? And perhaps they don't want to hire anyone else? Data dell'esperienza: 14 febbraio 2024

I gave a poor review a few weeks ago because I could not login to my account and mail.com advised me that my account was being deleted due to "no activity in 6 months". I do in fact use the service every day with hundreds, possibly thousands of messages over that period. I explained I regularly used the service but their response was to say they could do nothing since the process of deletion had already started and they were unable to stop it. I could still use the application on my smart phone but not login with my laptop. After a week or so I again contacted mail.com to ask why, if they had deleted my account, it still worked on my smartphone. Someone then contacted me to ask for more information on my account and said there appeared to be an issue with their systems. Several days later, hey presto, I could login again and things were back to normal. A thank you to mail.com for eventually resolving my problem. It was a shame that initially, I received such a curt response to my problem.

I had two mail.com accounts. I was eventually locked out of both because of some unspecified suspicious activity. Customer service was slow to respond and generally unhelpful. Finally managed to recover both accounts, mostly on my own, but by then had already moved my email subscriptions elsewhere. There are far better free email services out there.

Mail.com started off ok, but is definitely unreliable. A while ago it seems to have just murdered a whole block of my emails - one month's worth. Disappeared without trace.

Today, another important email came in, and then disappeared as quickly as it arrived, without my even having a chance to do more than open it. Not in trash, spam or anywhere else.
Mail.com provide no contact details for you to get help. I did manage to find an email for them but got no reply or acknowledgement from them. So with mail.com, you're on your own when bad news strikes. I'll be looking to change from this strange and limited provider asap.

First time I opened my account I was blocked, I wrote to them and they opened it. This can be frustrating but it's there way of avoiding spam. Still once you get pass their security issue, it's easy sailing. Also, I cannot complain, maybe it's because I have patience that I don't mind taking the extra step to bypass the ad to get to my email. All in all, they are pretty good, never had an issue. I am not bombarded with ads like I was with hotmail.com.

Mail.com should be avoided by everyone. While I was asleep, Mail.com informed me my account was blocked due to "irregular activity related to your account". I filled out their online form to regain access and they replied saying that my account would be closed permanently.

I used this account for my all my email, saving a number of critical emails in my online folders and have lost access to everything. The company says they are unable to offer any explanation what so ever as to what occurred. Because of their silence, I have no idea what occurred, nor do I know if there was a wider security breach to which I need to take precautionary measures.

Their response to this has been horrible and unacceptable. As an email service this represents 100% unreliability and I recommend that mail.com be avoided by everyone.

AVOID MAIL.COM. I erred in not reading enough reviews when I signed up there. Big mistake.

I don't like mail.com. I created an account yesterday, and only sent one email. I tried logging back in today, and it said they closed my account due to "irregular activity". Imagine if you had some important information coming through that you were counting on. This should be the motto for mail.com. At mail.com, you can send emails out, but don't expect to be able to read the response.

I only give them 1 star because you have to give them a rating. They don't deserve even a half. This is by far the biggest mistake I ever made. These people are charlatans! I would say choosing them was a bigger mistake than marrying my ex-wife. They advertise specifically no advertising when you pay for premium. I came to them because it was free, so for me to pay for email, it was because I didn't want the annoying advertisements. So the ads from within that slowed everything down went away, only to just show back up as a popup in a separate window. When asking them why, they say send us a sample like they don't even know what I talking about. There is no way to attach an image to show them. I have read the nightmares of how they bar you from your own email once you expose them by locking you out and erasing all your emails, so I will be getting all my stuff out ASAP. Don't use them.

Worst customer service, ridiculously vulnerable safety system and incredibly spamming ad. Even if your signed up account will disappear/blocked for no reason. If you want to torture yourself, then sign up with them!

I've been using mail.com for over 10 years and have 10 addresses. They've added paid premium accounts and have made life really hard for free account users. The iOS mail app is no longer supported, I cannot access all of my accounts and the reset password link takes me to a customer service link which they then send a generic faq page totally irrelevant to resetting my password. I've added accounts to my main address but these are deleted randomly and adding them requires my password which I cannot reset. Customer service has so far been soo frustratingly useless they send generic crap and obviously have not read my issue to answer it specifically. I DO NOT recommend...

I used the service and like everyone else has stated account was blocked. Switched from another service provider for businesses and I cannot access those emails or transfer them. Asked tech support to correct and no help unless you are a premium member. Fell like that is the end game. Dont sign up unless you have a backup plan for emails

What you have to understand about mail.com is that the free mail platform is just designed to get you in the door so they can sell you their premium service.

The free platform is garbage. If the person to whom you're sending hasn't received email from you before, your message will go directly to their Spam. In addition, it doesn't support any useful signature in your outbound messages.

Then on top of that, their "support" is an insult. They won't allow you to reach out by phone and it takes days before a human will respond to a request for help, even if your email service is shut down.

In short, avoid this platform like the plague.

They don't even deserve one star. I created an account and was blocked 10 minutes later. Emailed them to ask why and to get unblocked. They replied and said I will stay blocked without letting me the reason why. What a great emailing service. I am sure they will go far.

They gotta be the worst email service in the whole goddammit world. They started off OK but really suck. Can't get into my emails for hours with these guys. The worst service in the world. This must be a China website. Why I say that is because they don't care if you can get in your emails or this sounds like your idiot $#*!ing president shot head Joe Biden. That's what this website reminds of

The same issue as other people got here. As soon as you register, the account is blocked. Good luck with such an attitude towards new customers.

"Dear mail.com Member,

We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked.

Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you.

I have been with them since 1999. Out of the blue, they asked me to change my password. Right after that, I got blocked. If you are still using it, please move to google. Terrible customer service. I wish I could give them negative stars.

Complete rubbish of the company. My account got blocked after only one day of usage for no reason. When I open their app on my iPhone, I start getting tens of pop ups about account error!"·$%&/()=? I tried to unblock it and it is mission impossible. I have important emails I can't access! Stay away from it!

I think I accidentally deleted my account. I accept I will lose all my emails, but would like the account to be reinstated. I have send three contact forms in three days, and not even a response. The promo web page has three paragraphs. The Headings:

1. Were always here for you!
2. Customer Support is our main priority
3. Customer satisfaction comes first at mail.com

Clearly the advertising department has no concept of what is actually happening!

This account must be a scam now. Set up an account and it was locked within a couple of days. I had not even had a chance to use it. When I contacted them to request it be unlocked I was required to give another email address for communication (email harvesting much?). When they emailed me they said their fraud department decided to keep the account locked with no additional information. What a joke. Stay away from this company.

I have a premium account that used to work well but lately people insist they emailed me and I didn't get it and vis versa. In the last few days I have received emails that show a sent date and time 5 days before I got it. And it arrives on my phone mobile app and my desktop, totally different carriers and systems, at exactly the same time. Help is no help. They insist it is moving through many servers over which they have no control. So why don't others have this problem?!?!

I used this service for 6 months -- all of my email, all of my contacts including business contacts. Then, the other day, my account was blocked for no reason. I contacted them, and they responded with a form letter saying that they won't do anything to fix it -- or even tell me why. DO NOT USE MAIL.COM! This is a disaster.

I wish I had read other reviews of mail.com. They blocked my account after one day for irregular activity. This is bogus because I only sent a few emails to friends. I contacted mail.com and they are refusing to unblock the account. I send a reply asking if they would confirm its deletion. If I don't hear back, I must assume they are using my account as some kind of data for a spam operation. I strongly urge readers to never use mail.com.

After creating a new account, on very first log in attempt, I received the notification regarding suspicious activity on my email account and I was routed to change my existing password. I hope they do not use my previous password pattern to access my other online accounts which has similar password patterns. I would not recommend to use it. It does not seem robust at all. Feels like spam.

An absolutely disgusting company. Zero customer service, arrogant beyond belief. They literally don't care about you. Even if you've been with them for years. My email address was used for business and was rendered unusable. I contacted customer service and got a generic response which didn't even deal with the issue. I suspect what's happening is that long term 'free' users are being targeted to try and push them into going premium. When I sent them another email to say their generic cut & paste response wasn't relevant to my issue, they blocked me from being able to submit complaints.

Stay away from this email service. Don't ever use it for anything important or you'll suffer eventually.
