“Excellent, free, webmail. I've had an account 9yrs”

Since 2013 I've had my account. It has typical features. I have 12 folders added to sort mail. It has good spam control. Aft I got familiar with its differences find is easy to use, as any other free webmail.

Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled I wonder how can they stay on the market with such a miserable service Perhaps they pay some freelancer from india, balgladesh or pakistan to code their mail.com webmail Maybe that's a love story between mail.com and the pakistani programmer? And perhaps they don't want to hire anyone else? Data dell'esperienza: 14 febbraio 2024

... government representative and perhaps even your lawyer.
Don't waste a single dime of your $ on these grifters and scam artists!
1&1 "media" or mail.com and it's "officers" need to be heavily fined, if not permanently put out of business!
This "company" and their minions interject their own personal biases regarding the blocking and cutting off access to those accounts they don't agree with!

Tip for consumers:
Don't!!!

I have asked near on 4 years to rewrite their spam program to one that yo can permanently delete them they simply ignore them. They like trying to be a one world order. It they were any kind of great IT programmers they would take that bull$#*! off the settings page and put outside of the subject line when an email that comes in with a permanent delete so no further emails from these lousy bothersome spammers are stopped in their track, but they have refuse to do anything about this while taking your money for "so called wonderful service" I would not recommend this company to anyone until they get off their lousy asses and have their IT guys rewrite the spam part of this email server.

My account was blocked! First they tagged me as an abusive user, and offered me no information, but they finally came forward and informed me that my email account had been hacked. I signed up for World Cup Soccer and the hack probably came through Russia hackers who claim to be totally innocent always. I was offered admittance back into the site, but I seriously doubt that I will accept. Cyber security is a game of cat and mouse; a difficult business these days of defending users against cyber criminals, but obviously mail.com has much room for improving their cyber defenses. I hate changing my passwords all the time!

I was more than happy to sign up for this account as I'm sick to death of screwed-up Gmail that discriminates against the seniors who don't use mobile phones. Seems this one only works on mobile phone apps. When I searched "Where is my inbox?", it came up with a lot of answers on where to find it on your mobile. When I searched "Where is my inbox on my desktop?", it came up "No results." As I was trying to post this review, sitejabber is insistent on a "Proof of Purchase". Please note that not EVERYTHING is bought that is getting reviewed. I suggest you delete that repeat feature. Thanks.

Tip for consumers:
Don't bother trying to sign up for mail.com. If anything improves, I will update this review. I'm not holding my breath.

Emails aren't delivered/received until hours after sending. Hours. Not seconds, not minutes. Hours. These are plain text email, no extra code, images or attachments. Once received they're dated/time-stamped as if they were sent instantly. Ridiculous. One can assume this to be intentionally coded so as to encourage premium subscription. You cannot rely on Mail.com to send and receive text emails.

Zero rating if there was one like that.
They invalidated my email I had used for my banking and credit card needs. I went out on military service for 7 months when I came back I wasn't able to use my email anymore. I called them the guy told me that I have lost the email forever because I didn't login within 6 months. He also added that it is very easy to login into an email at least once every 6 months if it is very important to the customer. I thought that was very naive and limited. So do not use mail.com if your intend to find your email intact and active.

Been a customer for years, never ever thought about spam at all, then a week ago these idiots opened up the flood gates, 4 days I had 2000 spams in my inbox to read thru to make sure I didn't miss a legit email.

Took me days to move all my saved files over to another email provider and change all the web places I used with this crap email.
My guess is they wanted me to upgrade to a pay account.

I even tried the filters but jeez that requires opening each spam to get the sender info-

Stay away and avoid these bums

I had an account for about a year to contact friends seperate from business. One day they blocked my account and when I inquired why I got the same response as a few others that have posted reviews here saying I was using the account improperly. I had penpal friends from around the world and now I do not have their email addresses to chat with them.

I signed up and switched all my business emails to this, and they suddenly blocked my account saying there was unusual activity on it (absolute rubbish), when I emailed support I was just told it would remain blocked but they can't give me a reason! Thank goodness I only had it a couple of days, but I still can't access emails I will have received in that time. Wish I'd seen these reviews before I signed up, do NOT use them what a huge waste of my time, fuming! Stay away!

I agree with the majority of the reviewers that mail.com is THE WORST! Everytime you log in you are urged to sign up for premium PLUS there are constant advertisements. I have now signed up with gmail and they are great. It's all free plus no ads or spam. Hurrah!

This website used to be good. Now emails sent from mail.com to hotmail.com and msn.com are rejected because mail.com is not a trustworthy website. When I asked mail.com customer service about this I was not given the courtesy of a reply. Tonight for example, mail.com will not load so I can check my email. Bad.

My free version of the account was deleted because it was inactive for 6 months. I signed up because I thought it would be better than Gmail which censors content, but it is actually worse. Mail.com censors too, and wouldn't let websites I signed up for send a verification pin because they blacklisted them for "spam," or unsolicited emails. As a result, I quit using mail.com to sign up for new websites, and quit logging in, and recently am unable to use certain accounts that use that address because of my email getting deleted. I didn't know that free accounts were deleted after 6 months when signing up because that is buried deep in their terms of service, or "fine print" if you will. At first, I wished I had bought the pay version, but the more I read, even it sucks. They can go bankrupt for all I care unless they get their act together.

After being repeatedly questioned, and prodded for more and more personal information, I finally said no to their continued requests for vital financial data. I was immediately shut out of my account.
I contacted customer service, which is entirely non-existent.,
Now, my work email is getting inundated with SPAM, from Mail.com addressed scammers.
Mail.com is a phishing scam. Your information is not safe.

Wow. Signed up about a month ago. Switched all of my banking and other important items that require email to this new email address - only to find out that they just randomly, without explanation blocked it! Stay away - seems like I'm just another one in a looooong line of people this is happening to. Could it be bc I didn't want to give them an alternate email they could sell? Or that after a month I refused to sign up for their premium service? Shame on you, mail.com! People sign up in good faith. Shame on you.

Been with them for years. Notified them tens and tens of times of on going slow server problems, just to name one. They blame your internet or something on your end, and never fix the problem. They make you end up being stuck with them because you don't want to change your email address!

I would be willing to bet money that each of the few GOOD reviews for them were posted by employees or someone benefitting from their crookedness. Within hours of signing up I was already unable to access my account. Thankfully it was only a few from surveys I had taken.

This is just a total waste of time and you should NEVER rely on this site for anything meaningful. Any address you create here you can expect it to not exist in a matter of days. They purposely block your account for whatever reason/s they may have... trying to steal info whatever. So it's truly a waste of time.
The only thing you can use this for is registering to an "unimportant" site that requires an email and you don't want to use your personal address. You can create an account here and use it for the few min / hours that it exists until it's blocked.

Other than that... A V O I D this page and don't send anything of importance to an email address created here.

STAY AWAY FROM MAIL.COM. This is a truly awful email provider. You will regret using this platform as I have. Based on my experiences I can tell you that the platform is far from secure and there isn't any customer service to help you when your account is hacked. In my case all I got for nearly a week after THEY alerted me to "suspicious activity" and THEY shut down my account was the same pre-written messages which did nothing to help me gain access to my account. In my opinion, this operation doesn't have the resources to be a legitimate email provider. I recommend different providers like Gmail.com or Outlook.com.

I have had an mail.com account for several years, because google.com is banned in China but this works. Chose an 'email.com' moniker as it is easy for everyone to remember, although often get asked if I really meant 'gmail.com'. But have not had any problems so far, works like any other email as far as I can tell.
Oh, one gripe is that my emails often end up in the receivers spam / junk mailbox so other servers obviously don't recognise it sometimes. Don't know what I can do about that, but then I have never tried to.

P. S@ Devan N. Hasn't happened yet and I / they have sorted the junk email problem - seems they were marking my emails as spam because I use a VPN [being in China] and my IP address kept changing. They have since white-listed me and no problem since.

Mailcom redirected searches within my Firefox browser inserting / changing protocol
To search Internet through their "home page" - side stepping Firefox. This created problem of not being able to log on public WI-FI networks because [ the owner of
navigator-lxa.mail.com] was not properly configured and thus regarded as not being
Secure. I was unable to make any connection until I figured out to rid of the redirect
mail.com did in Firefox - which took me a good bit of time to do as I'm not a computer expert of any sort. If anything, Mailcom needs to make it just as easy to UNDO this as easy as it was to make the redirect in the first place. They wasted a lot of my time and created bad situation of stopping me from accessing Internet at a time when I seriously needed access.

I opened recently several e-mail accounts in mail.com since I like the idea of customizing the mail. I create accounts with "europe.com". The thing is that few days later I got a message saying that my account was blocked. I contacted them filling a creepy questionaire and answering correctly all the questions they made. This is the answer I got
Dear mail.com Member,

We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked.

Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you.

With kind regards,
Your mail.com Support Team" So don´t use in any circumstance Mail.com... you will never be totally sure that if tomorrow your email account is going to be still working.

I just went through the same thing! I've had that account for some 5-6 years and periodically they would block me or request that i change my password. Strangely enough, until about 2 months ago, i had always used the Free Account but then went ahead and set up the Premium. As of yesterday the damn account was BLOCKED and no one can tell me anything competently as to What is the Bloody problem. They won't let you speak to anyone in "management" and they cannot speak "clear" enough English to tell anything that makes sense. Some guy keeps mumbling on the phone. PATHETIC!
