“Excellent, free, webmail. I've had an account 9yrs”

Since 2013 I've had my account. It has typical features. I have 12 folders added to sort mail. It has good spam control. Aft I got familiar with its differences find is easy to use, as any other free webmail.

Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled I wonder how can they stay on the market with such a miserable service Perhaps they pay some freelancer from india, balgladesh or pakistan to code their mail.com webmail Maybe that's a love story between mail.com and the pakistani programmer? And perhaps they don't want to hire anyone else? Data dell'esperienza: 14 febbraio 2024

Mail.com is great for its domain names but have a very limited and old-style interface. With more than 10.000.000 users, maybe that should consider to rewrite theire software with a more new and more web 2.0 style...

I would give it zero stars if possible. In addition to running excessive adware, which slows usage to a snail's pace, they run spyware to target your account for advertising based on the searches you perform on the internet. Trying to bounce back the copious spam which their server allows results in your account being blocked. At its inception, this was a good service. Over the years and ownership changes, it has become the worst on the internet. AVOID.

I forgot my password and it asked me to fill out an email form and wait for somebody to respond. It has been hours and still not resolved. Also when I tried to set up email forwarding, can't save the set up. Horrible.

If you create an account while behind a corporate NAT/VPN or DS-lite and someone else also creates an account with the same public IPv4 address they think that you are abusing their system and automatically close "block" both accounts after four days. Hillarious!

If you ask them to unblock the account by using the suggested form you'll get this default answer:

"Dear mail.com Member,

We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked.

Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you.

With kind regards,
Your mail.com Support Team"

Incompetent company, better use a serious provider.

Was a good free service and then I signed up for premium for 1 year after that year was up there was no option to go back to free service as premium offered no value now I am frozen out of my account and there is no customer support to contact. It is a sophisticated scam they are clearly playing a long game.

Tip for consumers:
it would be helpful to know if you sign up for the premium subscription they will hold your account hostage rather than let you go back to the free one.

I been using mail.com for a while, they have a lot off extensions so I used for business and even used to recommend the service to friends and clients. Lately they been closing and look account with out reason and they don't let you produce any kind off proof or verifications. We loose a bunch of important documents and also login information and now call every single place where you have that email to change it.

Tried to delete my free basic account only to get the message: you are currently a premium member please contact customer support.
I am not a premium member! I make a point of only using the free basic account! After contacting them I just get a rubber stamp dummy's instruction of how to delete which I cannot do because it says I am a premium member! I cannot therefore delete my account. Also if I click on the premium tag it just says something went wrong in german!
Also I get the same error when I try to view my personal details! God only knows what's going on here; NOT GOOD! AVOID!

Horrible. Their "premium" mail service is a joke and despite the claim that you will "never" have popup ads if you sign up for premium, the ads continue to be intrusive and annoying. Also, the benefits and quality of the premium mail service is questionable at best. The company will claim you owe them money to renew the service, but refuse to tell you how much you owe them. Even if you try to update the credit card information, error messages come up saying the service to update payment information is unavailable at this time. That was 4 months ago. I am sorry I wasted my time on this company.

It doesn't get any worse than this scammer. Stay Away please,. Once they get your credit card you will have to contact the police to get them to stop charging your account. Its been more than 6 months that I've been trying to close the account and remove my credit card. They will not allow you to close the account or remove the credit card, you will literally need to contact the local police department, the Internet Fraud Department and the Better Business Bureau. Final resort was contacting the FBI.

3 of my old email addresses had been terminated 3 months ago.
Then I register a new email on today but this new email account cannot log in
And show me a "contact us" link. So I contact them.
And then they says this maybe because of my IP address.
If there are more than one account created from the same IP address,
Their system will terminate those accounts and blacklist the IP address.
And they suggest me to send them my IP address for further investigating my case.
Should I send them my IP address

So I tried to sign up for a free account with mail.com, and immediately I got a message that my account was blocked for some reason. I've never had that problem ever with anybody else. So I responded to them, and then they sent me another worthless email asking me to explain more their problem.

Crazy worthless service. They apparently just waste your time. Maybe they just want money from you, and this is their way to try to get it. Just move on to a more reputable real run email service, and leave them in THEIR GARBAGE HEAP where they belong. I would give them 0 stars, and they give ZERO service - just aggravation.

Tip for consumers:
STAY FAR AWAY, and don't waste any time with them. ZERO STARS FOR ZERO SERVICE, just aggravation.

MAIL.COM IS REALLY A SCAM company! I cannot access my account anymore even using the link for resetting it, it gave me "server error" all the time! So I contact them and the only thing they answered is: Our apologies but we are not able to reset passwords manually". Without understanding tha t the problem was on their server and not in the process of resetting! Really scam do not go for it!

This is the worst mail service I have ever tried, poor costumer service and a stupid system. Today I moved some of my emails from the spam to "Not spam" meaning I moved them to my inbox, after logging in later that day all my inbox was empty, even the spam. And these emails are no where to be found!
Plus, I forgot the password to one of my accounts on this site. I wrote to them multiple times over the course of 4 months but I didn't get any response what so ever except for the auto response email.
This service had costed me so much damage, now I have to link all my accounts into another email (from another service of course).

Having read the bad reviews here, I am of the view that whatever I write here will be a repetition of what has already been said by the other reviewers.

I have only one thing to say: These guys in mail.com are obnoxious.

If I had read these reviews before signing up with mail.com, I wouldn't have to put up with this nonsense.

I set up an account and I thought everything looked all right. I had planned to close my other email accounts and switch everything over to mail.com. But first I tried sending emails to my mail.com account to make sure it was up and running. I tried logging onto my mail.com, but was unable to, even after days of trying, and contacting the site management. Thankfully I didn't close any of my other email accounts, because apparently mail.com is not a real email site. Don't waste your time with this email. Choose a real email site.

Locked my email due to security reasons because i used my email from 2 different locations and when i went to activate it, their security department denied me to re-open it and because of inactivity for 6 months they decided to close it and i still had stuff linked to the email and was still trying to communicate with them to get back access or at least get back the same email but i now will no longer be able to have the email back and my account linked to the email are no longer accessible without 2 step and my stuff in the email are forever gone

They have blocked me because they say that I am a spammer. All that I do is bounce back all the spam that they let thru to me! ( I use Incredimail to get my mail off their server POP) I am a premium user that pays for this lousy service. They have right on there website that they will answer my concerns in 24-48 hours but it has been weeks and MANY emails to them thru their "contact us" page. POOR customer serviced... sell your product then block us and don't answer our concerns! Can you spell "RIP-OFF"! I have been with them for about 10 years and now with different owners, they think that they can treat the paying customers like $#*!!

Ive been both a free and (very briefly) a premium member of mail.com for over 10 yrs. The service was good until the recent update. Now, all my Inbox messages are spam, and my nonspam messages are in my Junk folder. I have tried to use the filter, but the same junk messages (e.g., from Love Swans - wtf?) that I marked as spam ade still showing up in my Inbox. Mail.com is now horrible and I refuse to pay for the premium service when the tools to keep out spam dont work for the Basic service.

I will be migrating all my business to another email provider.

I am an amazon seller and own some of the brands. I signed up for mail.com paid service in the hope this will be great. Their security team blocked my account due to suspicious activity at 9 AM approximately on Sept 5th 2017. I logged two cases and called twice and was told that the case has been escalated to Level 2 Tech support, which by the way is never available on phone. As of 9 PM the account is still blocked with no access to my emails. I have no idea how much is this mistake of using them is going to cost my business probably atleast 50 unhappy customers and atleast revenue worth 5- 7k.

Have you ever heard of paid email service that doesn't have any tech that you can talk to. I can call my cellphone company and complain about something and get facetime with a support tech. Please never use their email!

I registered *******@email.com account around 4 - 5 years ago, but last week when I loged-in, only a message that they blocked my account. I contacted support and they replied with an automatic message that it's final decision. No reason why my account was blocked, I used it with my online business for years, even with my Paypal account (over $20k usd there) and now they blocked it with no reason. Terrible mail service! Stay away if you don't want to waste your time...

If I could give this company a neg 10 I would. Their Premium Service is terrible both e-mail and phone support. They are unhelpful and act like they do not want to help you. The phone support is located in the Philippines and they are the worst. Their verification questions are difficult to answer and they refuse to do anything unless you can answer them. Do not use this company!

After 3 years of decent service I started having issues with emails not reaching the recipient. Mail.com said the recipient didn't exist but I was receiving emails from them thru gmail. Mail.com asked that I send them the entire email that wasn't being delivered so they could review it. Unfortunately the email contained account numbers and SS numbers so I couldn't allow them to review it. Now it's time to cancel... after multiple phone calls to get them to email me a cancellation request, I have to jump thru hoops to prevent them from charging my credit card again... avoid, avoid, avoid
