Since 2013 I've had my account. It has typical features. I have 12 folders added to sort mail. It has good spam control. Aft I got familiar with its differences find is easy to use, as any other free webmail.

Account was closed by their mail.com system with out any notice and all of our emails and data were cancelled I wonder how can they stay on the market with such a miserable service Perhaps they pay some freelancer from india, balgladesh or pakistan to code their mail.com webmail Maybe that's a love story between mail.com and the pakistani programmer? And perhaps they don't want to hire anyone else? Data dell'esperienza: 14 febbraio 2024

5 minutes after setting up an email account, it said there was suspicious activity and locked me out. Been trying to get back in for a week. No support, no customer service. Don't use them.

One of my complaints about mail.com is the frequent obstruction of the login screen by certain adware which interferes with attempts to login. This obstructive adware is usually hotel ads. I have complained to mail.com repeatedly about this problem but it falls on deaf ears. They continue to allow the display if these obstructive ads.
I believe that mail.com is frequently used as a vehicle to get certain PC Cleaner software installed on your computer. This is usually shady stuff like a.tribalfusion.com which is believed to install spyware on your computer.

There is no "revert to free version" or even a "cancel account" anywhere on the website so you'll have to actually e-mail them to cancel. Absolutely no other company does this! Not only that, but you can expect to have to submit a lot of documents (government ID, bank statements, etc.) and fill out forms in duplicate (not kidding) in order to get anything done, ESPECIALLY payment info changes and cancelation requests.

Don't even bother trying to remain in good standing with this abysmal company and just request your bank to chargeback any future charges under the name "1&1 MAIL MEDIA". Trust me; you won't miss them.

Half the time the site is unresponive. There are about 75 trackers built-in to it's web pages to capture every keystroke and mouse movement. They peole are serious about capturing as much personal data as they can about each and every user.

They are horrible. I paid for premium package last year for business. My outgoing emails kept being rejected. After numerous complaints they inform me their servers were blacklisted and they were working to fix the issues. This cost me business. I asked them to cancel and give me a prorated credit, they said no. The CC I used expired prior to renewal so I wasn't concerned, they couldn't charge my account again. Now they are claiming I owe them another year premium because I didn't cancel prior to renewal, and if I don't pay they are turning it over to a collections agency and will report it to my credit bureau. They also said that they can't cancel an account that is past due. Stay away from them...

I have been using Mail.com Free Email for a couple of years now, but lately, I have noticed that their website, which was always a haven for spam, has been getting more and more unreliable...
The entire time I have been here writing this review, their Logout Page has been trying to finish loading. This is endless loop that seems to own Mail.com now.
I am assuming this is a way to try and STRONG ARM you into purchasing their Premium paid service, and that they are purposely coding in bugs and glitches to their freemail accounts.
In any cases, STEER CLEAR, these people are ruthless. Now, let me see if the Logout Page has finished loading yet.
WOW big shock, it has not!

My account has been blocked with no explanation. First ever sign in and a message "irregular activity" pops up, please change password. 2nd sign in same thing, but this time account blocked. When contacting support they respond with "abuse" department decision and that's it. No answer afterwards and now i can't recover my information that has been in mail box. DON'T BOTHER USING THEIR SERVICE.

My account was blocked a couple of times without any reasons.
Last time they replied that I should wait another 5 business days to see if the problem was fixed. Absolutely useless!
Stay away!

Mail.com doesn't have any Customer support. There isn't anyone that will help if you can't get in your own account. Of all apps I've ever used mail.com is the worst.

This is the worst email service provider I ever came across. They just block email accounts with one stupid reason "Our System has detected Irregular Activities..." my 3 account to get blocked to date when all I use it for registering for some stream services. They don't want to unblocked it so I don't have any choice and emails from subscriptions I made are now lost. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY!

I have been a personal user of mail.com for the last year. I even got an account for my wife. Everything was fine until 3 days ago! We have tried logging in, but we are blocked due to apparent "irregular activities" - WHAT IRREGULAR ACTIVITIES? - we have been using this account to make our home purchase so now we can't get to the documents!

Support won't help us and no one will tell us what to do! I tried to convert the account to PREMIUM thinking this would help. Won't work either!

I agree with the previous post - they deserve to burn in hell! STAY THE F$%^& AWAY IF YOUR INFORMATION AND EMAIL ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU!

Extremely dissatisfied user!

This email service has to be the worst email service on the face of the earth. I got an account with them to handle a Craigslist ad for my private investigation firm. Well, I entered the wrong password into this brand new account and--boom!--I was locked out of it. Emails for help were completely ignored--you'd get an online form to fill out, but nothing ever happened afterwards. I event sent an email to their press room--still no response. Finally their customer service replied saying that they considered the matter "resolved". It was "resolved" only if you accept losing any emails that might have been sent to that account! Any decent email service would allow you to answer a security question to recover your password, or would send password reset instructions to the "contact" email you provided. But not mail.com. Apparently their techs, if they have any at all, like to sit back and laugh at locking people out of their email accounts. My advice to anyone contemplating using this service is--don't! The people who run this "chicken-wire canoe" operation literally do not care helping anyone!

As of 2015 they now use large full-screen video ADs (on the login page) and additional large-page ADs on the landing page with a tiny "goto mail.com" link you can barely find near the bottom. Just because some jerk got the mail.com domain name years ago (by the way it's EMAIL not 'mail' unless you're delivering physical packages), just because some jerk happened to get the mail.com domain name they think they own the internet now. Their even-more desperate CPU-intensive full-page video ADs campaign tells me that someone at mail.com is getting desperate since they've already reached the threshold long ago of angering thousands of internet users with changing the user interface for no reason, CPU-intensive 30 FPS Flash-AD content that brings good computers to a crawl, dozens of unwanted weekly "mail.com premium" inbox AD messages etc. Full-screen high-resolution CPU-intensive video ADs on the login page while you're trying to type! There's a greed-monster somewhere behind mail.com. It's an unprofessional presentation and an unprofessional internet outfit. I check my mail.com email maybe once/month at the most. Offending EVERY USER is not the way to run an online service.

Over the last year about 10% of the messages I sent were never received, and there was no error message warning me. I double checked by sending to some of my own alternate accounts and confirmed it.

Ohhh my goodnes... This is the worst email service provider. I pay for Premium support. Right now I am not able to log in because for some reason they are blocking my IP Address. I called the customer service which is outside the United States and the person on the line is not able to reset my IP block. There is no next level support and all he tells me is that I will receive an email when the issue is resolved. He could not give me a time frame neither. This is a nighmare if your work relies on this email service provider. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE!

Look, I hardly ever comment or make a reviews of websites, but this time I had to do.
I had an awful experience with mail.com, if you go there and create your account, I'm sure you will get very, very disappointed too, why!? Simple! I went to sign up option, I fill all the boxes, and when I submit to create an account, says ''technical error'' it doesn't let me sign up, I tried signing up with a VPN, and I was intercepted, blocked! Ok! I just sent a message to their support saying that I used a VPN to register due to error thing, and that was I received as an answer ''We have forwarded your request to unblock your account to our security department and it was determined that the account in question will remain blocked.
Please note that this is a decision made by our abuse department and we do not have further information we can provide to you.''

I sent another one ticket begging for help and that again ''As mentioned in the previous correspondence, your account was blocked by our Security Department. Please note that the Security Department will not share the exact reason for the block and there is nothing else we can do.
Thank you for understanding.'' They say that there is NOTHING they can do to help. I waste my time, and I felt very bad for no help and no explanation, so do I need to say any further? Stay away!

I had been a premium account user for many years and never had an issue. My account got blocked for "irregular Activity" meaning that there was spam coming from my account. I had no knowledge of this and no warning from mail.com... just blocked my account permanently with no detailed reason given (other than irregular activity). Their help center indicates that if you get a notice concerning irregular activity, you can request a verification code sent to your mobile phone, and once verified, you can reset your password to protect your account. No such opportunity given...just permanently block the account. I did reach out to their customer care team and they just respond back with a typical response template to refer to their terms and conditions. As a result I have lost all my emails, contacts, and whatever files I had stored in their cloud that I pay a premium price to safe guard my files. Now I cannot even access those, so what was the purpose of paying for a cloud service that I am now permanently blocked from accessing. Wish I could give a lower score than 1 as even that is too high. Terrible company and customer service is even worse to deal with. Please avoid and learn from this experience and take your business elsewhere.

I was using Mail.com for work purposes and was all of a sudden not given access to my account nor can I speak to anyone. The email I received when questioned why was that there was a security breach on my account. Like other servers, the only security breached is my own as they now have all my work files that I can no longer access and hindering my business! If I could give them less than 1 star I would. Completely unethical the way they operate. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE!

Dear Rich,

As we mentioned before, the decision was made by our security department and it was decided that the account in question will remain blocked, please note that the creation of accounts with suspicious names such as anonymous or some similarity are considered as a spam accounts. We do not have further information we can provide to you. Also note that they reserves the right to share further details of its decision.

We understand this is not a satisfactory answer but we ask for your understanding that this is the only answer we will give you.

Best regards,
mail.com Support Team

I paid via bank card for premium services for a year and after around 2 months mail.com started lying to me and being racist and discriminatory as well as it intruded into my privacy, continued to show me adds despite me having paid for no adds premium and their customer services try to bull$#*! their way out of admitting the discrimination. I as a paying customer am furious at their false advertising and discrimination. They say they will pay back the money but they never do, they don't say sorry about the racist pricks working in their customer service and they try to blame be the paying customer for THEIR INCOMPETENCE.

I attempted to create an email account for a small business I am starting, since they have somewhat personalized domain names. Once account was created, I get a notification saying it was blocked due to irregular activity and to contact support. I sent an email explaining the situation and they refused to unblock my account. I sent a follow-up email and have not yet received a response. Upon further research from my end, I discovered that this happens quite often to individuals creating a new account, and even to individuals with existing accounts; I heard of one individual in a similar situation (business owner) who spent three weeks with support trying to regain access (takes about 24 hours for a response).

Honestly, I'm glad this happened to me as soon as I created the account. I cannot imagine my rage if this happened while my business is open. I can seriously lose clients. Anyways, I moved to Gmail. I get that my domain is not personalized, but a) I'm sure my clients will excuse a small business having a Gmail account and b) it's reliable.

In conclusion, DO NOT use mail.com. If you are currently a user, I'd suggest you back up everything and switch to a different provider ASAP before you are next. As a matter of fact, if they decide to unblock my account the second time around, I won't use it.

If you decide to use this, do so at your own risk.

UPDATE:
They reversed the block, but I still closed the account.
