I had a fantastic experience using MakeMyTrip for my recent travel plans. A very bad site. Disregarding customers' time. Changing a ticket took more than a week and the trip was lost. In exchange for the site putting an additional amount on the ticket, I did not receive the ticket. After many calls and procrastination by customer service, they asked to pay an additional amount as well. An unprofessional and bad site by all standards of the word. 0000000

Please beware of Makemytrip. Here is my worst history.
I booked 3 tickets from bangalore to my Trivandrum for my grandamas death.
I booked on Jan 13th for 10.30pm flight around 11 am
The same day.
Makemy trip says its confirned and they agreed i will receive etickets with in 2 hours thru email.
I did not receive any mails till 5 pm even after following up heavily with makemytrip. Then I asked makemytrip whether I have atleast teh ticket confirmed, so that I can check with Jetairways.
They said I can talk to Jetairways once I reach airpot. I called Jetairways they said nothing is booked for my name. I was shocked. I asked them whether tickets are available, they said its available. SO I went and cancelled the ticket and booked thru jetwairways. Anyways same cost the ticket was. Note: my flight is in 10.30 pm and makemytrip never repsonded even after I said I need to travel to aiport which will take nearly 2 hrs from my place. They made me frustrated heavily.
Next another issue regarding payments. They took the money for 3 tickets, after cancelling they need to refund. They refuncded also the next day. I was happy that atleast they refunded on time. But sudennly today they debited 9000 from my account. I dont know whether and what for this is deducted. I am still fighting for my amount.
Please note this is for every on who reads this. Please dont go for makemytrip. There is no sure for your money and eticket. Better choose some airline website. Not the vendor sites.

The whole "buy insurance" support from MakeMyTrip and Reliance General Insruance is a total SCAM! BeWare. While buying your tickets you are never told that delay by Aircraft operating companies or cancellations or going backrupt is not covered by the insurance. You are made to beleive you are protected and no ones comes to your help once this happens.
Recently GO AIR went bust and all flights were cancelled last minute. My bad - I had trusted Make my trip and GO AIR and booked international tickets through them. Had to scramble to get alternative and expensive tickets for the travel and when claimed - RELIANCE GENERAL QUOTED terms and condiditions number ##### and said sorry. Or if you do - make sure you read every single line of a 50 page doccument.
When asked back for support - Make my trip position - sorry, none of my business, work with Reliance. Reliance shows me the 50 page doccument that I was expeted to know. Both these copmanie made thier sale via convenience fees & insurance fees from my booking... and I am made to look like they are doing consumers a favor by offering such useless options.
Next time - I dont think I will ever purchase a travel insurance when booking online and hope you dont fall into this scam... (Health insurance alone is propably the best choice to make - else I will be learning new clauses everytime)

Highly disappointed with the service. Pathetic experience.
I was booking hotel Deccan Serai, Hyderabad. On the front page it shows cost Rs 2419/ night per room. Just then I downloaded the MMT app with a referral code which gave Rs 1200 in my MMT wallet. Then I opened the same hotel - front page it shows same cost (Rs 2419/ night per room). Then when I clicked book now, price increased to Rs 3410 (how?) and wallet money deducted 800 (now it was Rs 400 left after deducting Rs 800 from Rs 1200) and there was one code which I applied to get Rs 300 discount (on applying this coupon code it showed code applied successfully) but I was charged Rs 3500 finally (again how?). On the fare details page I was shown hotel cost Rs 3281 (even after applying Rs 300 coupon code) and MMT charges Rs 219.
Since it was necessary to book a room in that hotel, so inspite of this I booked a room and just after the booking, when I viewed the same hotel again this time final total charge was Rs 2899 (with no coupon code and wallet money not being used).
Seriously MMT thinks customers are fool? Lots of hidden charges. No transparency in fare details. MMT now just wants to make money and nothing else.
I raised a complaint for the issue, no response, escalated the compaint still, no contact nothing. When I tried calling for that issue they would always say all our members are busy. But the same time I called for a flight booking issue, member available (how?)
I mailed also many times still no response.
That is very disappointing from such a company. Would never use that app again nor would recommend anyone.
I have given so much time to write this complain on quora so that atleast people will read and know how badly MMT treats some issues. I feel cheated and wasted my money.
The wallet money and coupon codes are extremely fraud. They are now on a money making business.

IT WAS VERY TERRIFIC HOLIDAYS IN MY LIFE. I HAD BOOKED HOLIDAY PACKAGE WITH MMT 3N/4D AT SRINAGAR. BOOKING IN1403B6S*******.AS WE REACHED SRINAGAR TWO TRANSPORT GROUPS ARRIVED CLAIMING THAT THEY ARE REAL REPS OF MMT AND STARTED FIGHTING EACH OTHER. THE PACKAGE WAS INCLUSIVE OF BREAKFAST AND DINNER. HOWEVER THE TEAM NEVER INTIMATED US IT IS PURE VEG AND LIMITED QTY FOOD ONLY WILL BE SERVED. HOTEL ROOMS WERE FILTHY NOT AT ALL STAR RATING THEY DISPLAYED. AT PAHALGAM INITIALLY THEY BOOKED IN SOME HOTEL AND THAT HOTEL IS NOT EXISTS. AND THEY MADE US TO STAY IN FILTHY LODGE, THERE NO RESTAURANT WAS AVAILABLE. AND FOR MEALS WE HAVE TO DEPEND SOME OTHER RESTAURANT AND THEY WERE ASKED FOR MONEY FOR THE DINNER EVEN THOUGH IT WAS INCLUDED IN OUR PACKAGE. One of the worst and unimaginable experience with MakemyTrip. In short, there can be no company worse than MakemyTrip. The clearly know how to take large sum of money, cheat and ruin the experience for their customers.
Ours was once in a lifetime experience of Do Dham Yatra (Kedarnath and Badrinath). I planned it for months but unfortunately booked my trip through MakemyTrip in June 2023. I live in the USA and coming all the way to Uttarakhand required handling lot of unknowns, so thought I would take their help from Delhi.
They did not do anything as mentioned in itinerary. The driver was one of the rudest and loudest and a rash driver. We came back alive, and that's a miracle.
The guide (or so called) knew nothing about the trip, in fact not even the places we were going on in the trip. All he would do is eat and sleep in the back seat.
During the trip, I called a MakemyTrip to lodge complaint about this, but they said they will look into it, NO Action.
Of the do dham, we never made it to Kedarnath. Because it was so poorly planned that we reached Kedarnath parking area around 2pm. It had just started raining heavily and there was no way we could cover 16kms plus the jeep ride and be back by 11pm. The guide told us to be back by 11pm as we would start back early morning. How is that possible!
They booked cheapest of the hotels but charged us for 3-star hotels.
After I came back home, I asked for partial refund of my money, as the trip was a total disaster, but they refused to give. Their customer service is the poorest and worst.
If I could give zero rating, I would have done that.
My request, please NEVER book any trip through MakemyTrip. They are frauds.

Please don't book or buy anything from this Company. MakemyTrip should go bankrupt, so cheating people stops. They are fraud.

We are a family with a small children. When we got to Chennai Airport we booked a hotel room
At the counter on exit of the airport exit.
It had to be close to the airport due to we had to fly early in the morning the following day. We had to pay the taxi. When we got to the hotel we had to wait more than two hours for a room, finally the manager said us that they didn't agree whith the makemytrip commission policies and they wouldn't give us any room.
I told him that it wasn't my problem but we had to clear the reception and go out to the street. The agency employee send us a car wich took us to another hotel 1Km long from the hotel but it was a local guest house that didnt worth 3800 rupies we paid in advance so we called back the employee and asked him to refound us our money. He came to the hotel, gave our money back but told us that we had
To pay 400 rupees for the car wich transported us to the second hotel. We paid but we saw that the employee borrowed 200 rupees for him and gave the driver 200. On the booking conditions, "pick and drop from the Airport were included". The behave of that guy and the first hotel manager was unbelievable and heartless. We had to look for another hotel in a sullen district in Madras at night.

I am a MMT BLACK customer at Make my Trip India (which happens after you spend 2 lakh Indian rupees with MMT). This is just a title with no visible benefits of any sort. I have complained countless times to management about the lack of benefits, but they have absolutely refused to address this issue.
My wife and I just completed a tour of Rajasthan which we booked through MMT and there were lots of issues that I wanted to discuss with management. They got a junior staff member to call me, and she was more in a hurry to come off the phone than listening to me. She definitely gave me the impression that I was complaining unnecessarily about the issues on my trip and these are common problems in India that we should just accept quietly. HOW CAN BAD SERVICE EVER BE ACCEPTED QUIETLY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD,MUCH LESS INDIA?She subsequently offered me a compensation of 2000 INR for an expense exceeding 120,000 rupees. I refused and asked to speak to top management. They upped the compensation to 5000 rupees.I once again asked to speak to top management and they have refused continuously to date for me to speak to top management. It looks clear to me that the top management has instructed its junior staff to offer the customer 5000 rupees and close the matter and definitely are not interested in providing good customer service by getting in touch with the customer themselves and sorting out the matter. By calling me, hopefully, i can speak to someone mature, responsible, and understanding who's not in a hurry to come off the phone like the junior staff member did earlier. What is clearly clear is that the top management of MMT does not want to accept any responsibility of any sort when anything goes wrong, EVEN IF IT MEANS CALLING THE CUSTOMER AND SPEAKING TO THEM.
As long as they are minting money MMT DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR RESPECT AND MAINTAINING A GOOD REPUTATION/IMAGE/STANDARD/PROFILE.SHAME ON THEM!
They don't refund the money at all.
