Recently we had booked our air tickets, Hotel and 3 days cab from Bangalore to Hassan through MMT. It all worked fine though it took some time to contact the driver at Bangalore airport. Even though the MMT invoice clearly stated the amount to be paid to the driver, he demanded additional 3 days outstation charges. This left a sour taste in the mouth after an otherwise perfect holiday.

A very bad site. Disregarding customers' time. Changing a ticket took more than a week and the trip was lost. In exchange for the site putting an additional amount on the ticket, I did not receive the ticket. After many calls and procrastination by customer service, they asked to pay an additional amount as well. An unprofessional and bad site by all standards of the word. 0000000

Makemytrip has very unscrupulous practices of stealing your money in a sly way.
I am sure I entered the correct date ( 20 August), and it showed 20 August at the top of the page.
At the top it was obvious that the trip is from Tunis to Dubai and the date is 20 August.

It is highlighted in bold.

Below in tiny font there is the month of May, which could hardly be seen. There was a glitch in the app.

After the booking, and when I discovered that the date was wrong, I entered 20 August again and pressed search.

Again, the same problem happened.

It showed that the trip was on 20 August and not 20 May, with the month of May at the bottom in tiny font. I swiped through the month, but it would not show July or August. It stopped at June.
They deducted a large sum for insurance against my will, which I did not request and do not need.

As it is makemytrip app glitch, I contacted the company and explained the problem, and asked them to refund me the total amount they had deducted from my card ( including the insurance, the service fees and the fine). Sadly, they did not give a pin about me and deducted the equivalent of 230 $ for a mistake that was not mine. I even sent them a screenshot that corroborated my claim, but in vain. Their intention of stealing my money was irrevocable.

I adamantly insist that it was not my fault. I am deadly sure it was the application's fault and that I entered 20 August and not 20 May. As it was not my fault, I think I should have been fully refunded.

I advise everybody to avoid this crooked company.

This is a joke.
Charge me ******* rupees
For cheep hotel which they surprise us.
Later on arrival we ask hotel how much they would charge us to stay in that kind of room which they say less than 3500 rupees per night
Activities were disaster. So we won't even bother to go.
Only after I booked realize the hotel they booked for us is cheep in google maps reviews.
I ask them please change the hotel for me they won't make any changes. Even tell me if you don't like the hotel book your self another one but we can cancel the trip but you won't get your money back.
I called and try to change the dates which they won't
They won't refund or make changes after they get paid only after less than hour. Never given me warning about non refundable policy. When I was making online payment from NYC. But they advertise people can cancel even day before arriving.
They said that's not their policy after finally reach people in phone in India.

We miss our flight because couldn't make it to airport on time so I booked hotel next to airport
Buy new ticket for second day.
For three night visit which one day we already missed and all the activities they don't care.
These people have no human decency.
Just for two night we end up paying this much money. Please stay away this site. Bunch of crooks.

Worst customer care. Please save time and don't use it. Shame how they do business. Wasted 2 hr and did not book. I made 2 attempts to book and they charged my card but failed in booking..

I booked a room in Glendale, Arizona but when I checked in they had no reservation for me. Instead I was booked at another hotel about eight miles away. I did have a room there but MakeMyTrip took my money and I still had to pay for the room. TOTAL RIP-OFF.

Recently we had booked a tour for Hongkong and were utterly disappointed with the services. In India the details are not given properly and when you board the flight one comes to know that the flight is going through Delhi where there will be a changeover. A direct flight form Mumbai would have reduced the travel time from 9 hours to 5-6 hours.
Hotel booking in Hong Kong has check in time of 3 pm and you have to wait for long before you check in the room as the flight reaches there in the morning. Indirectly its a waste of a day.
The local tour partners-Holiday World has pathetic staff. Very uncooperative and rude at multiple instances. We requested a early pick up for the airport on the last day but it was very rudely turned down and we were not able to spend enough time on airport and missed out on lot of shopping.
Moreover the tour cost includes only Flight and Hotel, which probably does not give much value for money. It would have been cheaper if the bookings were done on our own as we booked most of the local sightseeing

UPDATE: You might see that they have responded to my review here, I emailed and they never responded! So it's a false message, they're just trying to look like they care and are working on it.

Do not use MakeMyTrip! I've had just the absolute worst experience with them. I booked some flights through them over the summer, one of which was made in-operational causing me to miss an entire international trip. At the time and for months after they reassured and guaranteed me that I would receive a full refund for the flights that were cancelled and that I then missed as a result--after which I was also forced to purchase brand new tickets. For three months they kept reassuring me of the refund and saying they needed more time to hear back from the airlines. I just started applying more pressure and have just found out that I won't actually receive the promised refund, but that I will receive the same trip's tickets with now less than a year to use them as MakeMyTrip took so long to make anything happen. This is a trip I won't be able to make, so it's all wasted. DO NOT USE THEM.

I would like to describe my experience with MMT(which is in fact a huge brand name), provides worst customer service, treats customer like $#*! once the payment is made. Lots of faults and bugs in their app and functionality which they didnt care to accept as their mistake.
So, I made a booking for a hotel(non refundable), due to some emergency situation I could not reach on that date, So instead of cancelling there was an option provide to modify the booking dates.
I proceeded with the modifying, No notification, No prompts were shown to me, directly booking was cancelled.
Its been more than a month now that am following up with CC of make my trip, No response, No call backs, No care for the issue raised.
Today wen I demanded to talk with the manager or some senior supervisor, I got a reply back that Its my fault that I tried modifying the booking. So no refund or anything will be provided.
I lost like ******* behind this stupid make my trip.
Now all I can say is Never use make my trip, always prefer direct bookings.

Make my trip does not even deserve 1 star. I would request all fellow readers never to book your trips with Makemytrip. We had booked tickets on 2nd November to travel to India (DXB-MLORE & return), due to change in flight timings we had to cancel the whole journey and make a new booking because it was an emergency. While booking MMT gave me some cashback and upon cancellation it was invalid for me to use. Now while refund was processed MMT has deducted that cash back amount from my refund amount. Upon checking with them this was not cash back but reward points, upon cancellation of tickets its invalid for use and even it was valid, the validity was for limited time. Now MMT is refusing to pay me the amount which is never received by me any form. MMT is scammer, beware and never use MMT for booking. And not to forget the amount of efforts it takes to connect to their customer service. Each time I have called I had to try minimum 10 times to connect to their call center.

Tip for consumers:
Never make bookings through Make My Trip

I had booked a seat by make my trip from Gurgaon to Dehradun on dated 22.07.2023. But they have canceled my ticket before 04 hrs. Before of timing. At the movement no sleeper bus service available from Gurgaon. Its vey worst situation for me.

After that i have booked the from Kashmiri Gate from Abhibus service.

Well known organisation of cheaters... Never fulfil their commitments. Just fooling people around. NEVER EVER BOOK ANY SERVICE From them. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS Bunch of rude people sitting together to make sure people have hard time who call them up for help. MAkemytrip.com should change their name as Spoilyourtrip.com. Atleast it will suit to their services..

I booked 3 booking with make my trip for my return journey from kolkata to shirdi via mumbai.
My booking id s with make my trip are

Which include return flight, hotel and bus bookings.
But due to some unavoidable circumstances, i had to cancel my booking about a month ago my journey.
From then on, for last 2 months, i have repeatedly written to make my trip to refund my money: they are assurring me that i shall get it by 7 days and sometimes not even answering my prayer.
I am in deep mental agony and would suggest everyone not to book with this cheter company.

I booked a flight from Dubai to Kochi on 15th September 2015, while trying to make booking i received two times booking got failure message, but third attempt i got booking confirmation. Hence i am all set to go 22nd September 2015 evening to kochi, meanwhile i just called the Make my trip customer care to confirm about the papers which i have show in airport then only i came to understand that the booking was not done. They collected by money and all done but booking not confirmed. I didnt get any proper support to fly on same or next day, they ask me to pay again for other ticket. Till now 16th October 2015, i didnt received the refund. When i called today on 16th October 2015 they are telling i have give permission to refund then only they will give refund. Its very nice practice from make my trip.

I had booked hotels through MMT for Shimla, Manali and Chandigadh. All these hotel turned out to be no better than guest house and I had opted out for better hotel at Manali at much higher price.

Misleading/incorrect information was provided by assistant sales manager of MMT, Mr. Ravi Thakur, during booking of tours.

We (two ladies) have booked a group tour to Sri Lanka in March of this year. On reaching there, there was no sign of a group tour. The only two members of the so called group were two of us. There was no response to a number of e-mails sent in this regard until the matter was referred to higher authorities. However, no indication of apologies or accepting the error.

I made the mistake of booking another group tour for myself to Kashmir through Ravi Thakur. I was told that there would be 30-40 persons in the group travelling and sight seeing would be as a group and hotels would be different for different packages. When I reached Srinagar, I came to know that I was the only person for the package/itinerary given to me as a group tour. I was alone during the entire trip. Clarifications given by Ravi Thakur made no sense at all. I asked the management of MMT Does it make sense to leave a single lady alone for travelling and sight seeing in Kashmir.
In my opinion, people should at least think twice before booking a tour with MMT. They are least bothered after receiving payment. Moreover, if a person holding managerial position has no knowledge about the trips, what we can expect from junior staff of MMT.

I would want as many people as possible to learn from mistakes made by me.

Sold me two itineraries with canceled flights, not two in one order, but two different orders. Charged full price then put on hold for hours trying to get refund. Possibly the worst service everever.

I WENT TO CHECK IN AT ABU DHABI AIRPORT WITH A CONFIRMED TICKET FROM MAKE MY TRIP. DURING CHECK IN, I WAS INFORMED THAT MY PNR HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
WHEN CONTACTED MAKE MY TRIP, THEY WERE TELLING, SOME OTHERS CANCELLED THIS, AND IT IS NEITHER THEIR ISSUE NOR AIR LINE ISSUE.
I HAVE LOST MY MONEY AND SPEND 10 HRS IN AIRPORT.
WILL NEVER DEPEND MAKE MY TRIP IN THE FUTURE

Initially, I thought of giving a positive feedback. But the pathetic experience made me pen down this miserable night stay with my family.
Our recent stay at Hotel Radoli House-Heritage Hotel, Jaipur recommended by Make My Trip was really disappointing and pathetic. Apparently, the hotel looked average in terms of traditional Rajasthani architecture and decor. Also, the 3.3 rating for the hotel which was the only reason I went forward to book it for a night stay with my family.

The worst journey started when we interacted with the hotel's front desk guy (who did not even appeared to be a front desk executive) did not even consider to our requests for our basic amenities. Despite asking him several times for an extra blanket, he did not even bother to provide it. Although he acknowledged our request but he didn't turn up even after repeated requests.
The basic toiletries were also missing. When asked for the same, again there was no response. The worst part is that they served us Bisleri water bottles with broken seals as if they have been filled with the tap water.
The breakfast was not even edible (tasted as if they have taken out from cold storage).

I am wondering how can MMT recommend such a hotel to their customer which do not serve basic service the customer has paid for.

I would strongly urge you to cross check with your concerned team before recommending such hotel to customer.
Thanks for being spoiler to my vacation. I hope MMT will take necessary action regarding this. Please don't consider to book this hotel.

No refund and had to dispute with Credit Card company as this site is a fraud site

I am staying in US for sometime and I booked round trip tickets through travel agent for my family to travel India. For several reasons(Bad weather, child health, traffic jam etc.) i couldn't make it to airport on time. This can happen to anyone. I called my agent and requested for next available date to travel and ready to pay penalty and fare difference. Agent says that dates cant be changed after no show and also money is not refundable. I am not asking not to refund the ticket/Money, I am requesting for date change. I don't see "Date change is not possible after no show" in any form of agent communication during ticket booking. Agent knows that i am not informed about it. Agent claims that British airways is not changing the dates so i cant do it. I don; t know what is going on there. I am not able to talk to British airways for the same reason because they are asking agent code to proceed further and asking me to contact Agent for any information. I requested Agent a lot and spend lot of time, but agent is not ready to help in any ways. I paid $3000+ for round ticket. Now i am not able to change travel dates and can't make use of the return ticket as well. I have seen the similar situations before with my friends and many others. No one had the similar issue, Somehow everyone had got different travel date with their agents or airlines.My friends are surprised to know my situation and the way makemytrip is responding. I suggest friends to be careful with these guys. MakeMyTrip cheating the customers. I have necessary proofs..

Regarding my hotel room booking MakeMyTrip charged Rs 7068/- for a double room with one extra bed for 3 persons for 2 days. But the hotel is changing only Rs. 4600/-

I write this with huge frustration with Makemytrip.com. Booked my trip from Chandigarh to Delhi with Trip insurance. It was a spicejet flight. Spice Jet canceled their flight and didn't even send an email notifying me until i logged on to my booking 10 days before departure. Called Make my trip and got routed 3 times and long waits to get the right person. Finally, got the right person and they offered flights that did't work for me. So they offered a refund on the ticket. I asked them to initiate an insurance claim as i had trip protection. I was told that not to worry, we will refund your insurance money too. It was the most stupidest insurance i ever heard of.

Your insurance will be refunded when there will be a claim. Insurance is used to support your claims in unseen circumstances specially when an airlines cancels the flight days before the departure. I re-booked my trip through another vendor, but paid twice as much on tickets because of last minute purchase.

Don't buy ticket through them, if you do, definitely don't get their bogus insurance, its a scam cuz they will refund your insurance premium rather than insuring your trip.

Hi

I wanted to modify my return dates so I sent an email to customer support.
I got the reply and in the reply there was a link to change the booking.
I clicked on that link 1000 times but it did not work.
So I called customer care.
After 40 minutes talking to extension 4084, he told me there is some problem with the system and asked me to call after 30 minutes. The price he asked me to pay was *******.
I called after 30 minutes and tried to use the extension 4084, but it was wrong extension.

After some time I talked with Shipra for 35 minutes. After that she told me the price I have to pay is *******.
This is 1500 more than the previous call.
She said she cant update the system and transferred to extension 8245.
This guy with fake British accent put me on hold for 24 minutes.

Why are you harassing your customers? While on hold you make me listen to your offers, deals, discounts?
Because of your system fault my money and time is wasted. I need the money back.
I know this email wont make any difference to your service. But I will post it on facebook and also on twitter.

In india people are afraid of 2 types of department which are made to help people.
1.POLICE
2. Customer care.
Both harass everyone for no reason.
I will never use this site and make sure no one in my friends circle on FB and twitter use that.

The policies about date changes are **ABSURD** to say the least. The agent helping us to do the booking did tell us that there would be a Fee for any date changes but when I did have to change the date I did not realize that the I ended up paying 85% of the original value of my ticket. So there will never be a **NEXT TRIP** for me from make my trip

Started with Geetha Sharma, then taken outrageously by Gurjot kaur, then by Ashim Rana and then tortured by Lata Rawat, Suman and again by Geetha Sharma. Geetha Sharma was so rude that she started blaming me for no mistake of mine. Their customer service is very sluggish. This all happened for one simple flight from Chicago to Mumbai. Faded the colors of Indian Customer service. Outrageous and heinous. Genuinely do not book with them... Try Airline's website or local agencies like novatravels. They respond much better and also treat you with respect. We are customer and customers are always right even if we commit mistakes, it is their responsibility to treat us good, they are at our feet, not us. Beware of MAKEMYTRIP. If u want a good experience do not do through Makemytrip.
