I had a fantastic experience using MakeMyTrip for my recent travel plans. A very bad site. Disregarding customers' time. Changing a ticket took more than a week and the trip was lost. In exchange for the site putting an additional amount on the ticket, I did not receive the ticket. After many calls and procrastination by customer service, they asked to pay an additional amount as well. An unprofessional and bad site by all standards of the word. 0000000
I had booked my Singapore trip but due to medical emergency I had asked for refund or date extension. We were just on discussions with company meanwhile they took their own decision and cancel out my 3 lakhs paid amount trip without my concern and confirmation with zero refund. When they come to know its their blunder fault they asked me shamelessly to take the ticket by paying again. Not just that the moment they come to know my husband is in ICU they started chasing me crazily so that she can cancel the trip and sell it again and make more money and I was further surprised when they cancel the trip (fully paid 3 lakhs) without my concern. Totally fraud company,no business ethics and protocol,just want to have business without any concern for customers, playing with emotions of customers.Heights of the harassment they had done by taking advantage of our situation. BEWARE!
Please do not book from makemytrip... they are worst in providing service. I booked hotel in gwalior for 23 jan 2016, but when i reached late night there, my booking was cancelled without intimating me... they were only having "sorry" as reply. Though they have refunded the amount, but i have filled case against them in consumer forum. I ruined my paper next day because of mental harrassment... so friends, please do not book from makemytrip... don't get trapped!

My holiday plans were screwed up by these people! This company was the biggest waste of time and money! One honest advice to anyone planning a trip through make my trip, please don't even consider it! The sales staff is least interested in servicing paying customers once the payment is made. Least interested in even listening to our grievances! I wonder if any of their staff ever goes through these reviews to better their service! Friends, please avoid planning through" make my trip". They actually " damage" your trip!
So please think 100 times before booking with them.
Why does your site charge so much for a simple date change? I am so unhappy. We made a small mistake and have this extravagant fee to pay now. I used another site, Vayama, in the past, and they only charged $50. Seems like MakeMyTrip rips people off. We see almost 200 complaints about your company, and now here is one more. Very sad that India has companies like this that give the country a bad name.
Never book air ticket through makemytrip. It will be the worst decision that you ever made in your life. I booked a flight from Delhi to Goa round trip on their site. Later I noticed that the time was different and when I called them about my refund they told me that their concern team is going to call back two days later but I didn't get call from and it's has three month already and still I didn't get my refund. If they don't give me my $458 I will file law against the makemytrip for fraudulent activity.
Pls don't book tickets from mmt as taking lots of convenience charges around 100 dhs means 2300 Rupees and when you cancel then you will not get full refund.So you can book directly by airlines so you will get full refund.and mmt is giving your refund around 1 month and above
I have been pursuing MMT through several calls and online complaints for about 2 weeks now for my insurance papers and I still haven't go them. Because of this my visa is stuck. Apart from, I had to pursue them even to send my ticket and invoice. Worst customer service ever, with false commitments made by executives as well as the supervisor. Even their extension numbers are incorrect. And they say they do not have the phone number of the insurance company they partner with. Extremely harassed. I am going to go out of my way to make sure nobody of the thousands people I know use this website and get to have similar harrowing experiences. While sharing word about this, I just got to know that another friend was charged an amount higher than the one mentioned in the invoice. Customers have to be compensated for this. (Even as I write this, I have been on a two hour long call with them with no result yet.)
We had booked a trip, as suggested by the executive Mr. Gautam Kumar but sadly after making the full payment also, we did not receive the details of the hotel booking and only received an incomplete flight details. Tried calling them number of times but nobody helped us. they had put me on hold and even disconnected on my face. Is this is what they call service? We had our trip cancelled. Someone has to be out of his mind to use Makemytrip twice... I have used this pathetic website once and I believe it is enough torture for this life. First of all Airlines in India are tormenting experience add on top Makemytrip (only GOD can help you with this deadly combination). Flight cancellations is like trend in India, so can do much but bear the inconvenience. But how do you deal with thieves like makemytrip? I am chasing up for a refund for a cancelled flight back on 21st Dec 2014. I literally feel like a beggar now asking for my money. Following are the is what I have been doing since then:
1. Ask them for refund, they give you refund reference.
2. Then you just suck your thumb for weeks just waiting.
3. Repeat 1 & 2 above.
I did not read reviews before using them. I wish I did that before making bookings. Spread the word and stay away from them.

They have one of the Worst Service on ground. Nothing will be planned and hotels which described by them are totally different in reality. They try to fool you on the tour. No sufficient time is given to cover the attractions. No proper transfers. They had made me sit in the van boot due to the Van was full. When you give feedback and try to justify themselves instead of accepting their mistake. Think before you book your Tour package on make my trip.
Worst company which I have ever seen, No ethics, no service, they are cheaters, never ever book ticket from them, they told x amount over the phone and deducted more money. This is a big fraud company
Booked a cab for the airport through MMT and paid advance money. Cab confirmed to have arrived but was not available at the scheduled pick up time. Surprisingly MMT instead of refunding the amount showed the trip as completed. There is no option in MMT App to raise complaint for Cab. The customer support number available there doesn't work. It seems to be a fraud organization. I suggest people not to use MMT as in case of any issue, you don't have any option to contact them. The worst customer service I have ever encountered.
Never book tickets though make my trip as the booking and cancellation was just in an hour or an half hour more for which the deductions were insanely managed all deduction are done by this mediator that I booked via. I had lots of Faith on make my trip no more trust? No humane behavior.

Unfortunately, there is NO minus star. They took money and acted they are not responsible and asked me to talk to airlines directly for more information. When spoke to airlines, they can't do anything once travel agency issued the ticket. When asked to add Infant ticket, though the price is showing very cheap on airlines website, they are lying and wanted to get more money since we can't book the ticket other than their travel agency. Worst customer service, they try to trap you by reducing $20 total, but once you start getting into, they will play with you.
Customer Service is horrible, arrogant. They use cheap phones which you can barely hear and you end up spending at least 4 hours on the phone.
Lessons learned, it's always go with Airlines directly. Peace of mind! No stress, enjoy with family!
They called right away once they had accepted my stolen card number from someone with an entirely different name. I told them to cancel the charge and I cancelled the card, but they kept $80 for some reason so I have to dispute it through the bank (a 3 month process). No one should accept a credit card when the names don't match, but I am owed the rest of my money/their charge!
I am not expected this kind of worst services like cancellation booked cab & informed us before 1-2 hours from pickup time, me & my family faced to much problems to getting cab in very short notice, & we was paid double charges for cab because your company was not cancelled my further booking & due to this we are not enjoying our holiday & your whole team is not supported & co operate to us during this thing, I am not using Makemytrip again in my life.

Worst company. Please never ever book anything through make my trip, I'm saying this because of my personal experience. Fake people. Even after taking two installments they can send you mail on last day of payment that your package amount is increased, and if you don't pay increased amount your booking will get cancelled and the amount you already paid will get forfeited. No senior person is available to take the concerns. No reverts and replies over mail. Please even if you have to pay bit more go with it but never make any booking through make my trip.
MMT has the worst customer service, there is no response for the query, no responsibility and value for customers and their money, they just but the burden on customers head if inconvenience caused. Issues will be kept unresolved forever

Was trying to book for day flight, showed 2-3 times system error because of fare hike(which I understood after going back to the website) but it got booked to night flight(I will reach 12 in the night and have to travel back to city alone from far away Airport) without giving me any hint.
Reached out to customer service, casually the person told me just(for them Rs. 299/- is Just) Rs. 299/- will be deducted and we will cancel the booking. You make a new booking with the fare hike. Support agent wants me to pay additional convenience fee and do new booking with fare increase. Agent was just give me recorder solution and was asking me for screen shot of system error. So foolish and annoying. I wish I could have recorded the conversation. Now I have to travel alone in the middle of the night to reach my destiny in a new city.

Make my trip is the worst travel agency website. The customer service is always poor. I had three bad experiences (u can call me a fool for repeatedly using this website as no other choice!). Refund for flight or hotel cancellation is never hassle free. U may have to call 13 times. I have done it believe me and may take ages!

Just one word: Its a big $#*! lying in the Indian market... I booked a holiday pack, cancelled it next day and asked for give me a voucher so that i can place and utilise the money for some other booking. So far no reply. I have emailed them ask begging to give my money back but they have no mercy:-(...

We travelled to Rajasthan in the first week of January. All the hotels were of lodge quality. They were given 3 stars but actually were much less than that. We had to change hotels in every city and had to pay again. No refund was offered nor another hotel was given. They were trying to pass off the trip without being concerned about our problems. Even talking to customer care didn't help since they didn't transfer us to the right person to talk to.
I booked a flight ticket from MakeMyTrip. However, mistakenly I made 2 bookings for the same itinerary. They refunded the full amount for my duplicate booking without any hassle on my first call. Great Service.

I booked a ticket while in the US. After some further thought I looked into cancelling the ticket. The makemytrip website indicated that I would get a full refund if cancelled within 24 hours. I cancelled the ticket but when I checked my bank statement I found that I was charged $167 for the two tickets I purchased. When I called the company (which incidentally is not an easy task) I was given the usual run around with questions such as:, "What was the reason for the cancellation?" and "Did you contact the airline?" This was the first for me. On the same day I had to cancel another ticket purchased through Expedia. There was no problem at all with Expedia. In fact, they had not even charged me the fare. I was surprised to see how quickly MakeMyTrip swooped down to collect the money but were extremely reluctant in returning what they took. This is the last time I will use this company for my ticket. Beware of these rather strange strategies and procedures to refuse you your refund!
