I purchased a vinyl record from Merchbar on 5/24/24. It is 1/23/25 as I write this review, and I have not received my order or even a response to the four emails I have sent them. Merchbar has consistenly shown that their customers do not matter to them. A wait of 8 months warrants at the very least a courtesy notification and explanation of the delay. A customer should never have to contact them for such an issue in the first place; the fact that they refuse to even acknowledge me is insulting and a display of appalling customer service.
In short, be advised that your orders from Merchbar may or may not arrive, and they will repeatedly ignore you because they do not care about your customer experience at all.
Ordered a record from them that was supposedly on an 8 week back order. After six months of emailing them for updates and only getting an automatic response I requested to cancel the order and get a refund. They refused the refund and offered store credit, which didn't work as their site kept crashing. Three separate complaints to the Better Business Bureau and they finally agreed to issue a proper refund. However it has now been almost two months of automated emails saying "we will process your refund soon" with now resolution in sight. Absolute nightmare company.
What a scam! No items, no refunds, they reply to emails with different people every time and just fob you off. Hundreds of dollars wasted. Dont make the same mistake
We ordered 3 albums in November 2024 for Christmas presents, It's Jan 3rd. Nothing, no emails, they are a scam! I hope we are able to get a refund. Had to call them, the person on the phone was clueless.
Today is December 9,2024. I ordered four albums on August 3, over four months ago. Despite being told at the time of purchase "Estimated Delivery: 2-8 days," so far, I've received only one of the four albums. In what was a bad decision on my part, I ordered three more albums on September 27 and, over two months later, I haven't received any of them. In response to my request for more information, they cannot give me a new estimated delivery time and have told me: "Unfortunately, due to the temporary slow-down in the dispatching of orders and ongoing challenges with our supply partner, we're unable to provide a specific shipping timeframe at the moment. This situation has impacted several orders, including yours." They offered to cancel my order, but I want the albums they agreed to send me. I certainly thought I'd be safe ordering in September for Christmas presents, but that does not look to be the case.
I ordered an album from this website, and the payment was successful but the order wasnt confirmed. I just keep contact with the but no one asnwers. I just want to get my money back.
I'm writing to warn everyone to not buy from this company. They shouldn't even be in business. I have ordered from this company 3 times never received anything. They take your money before they send out the records. Finally after 90+ days I had to cancel my order. Each time was this same experience. Checked the Better Business Bureau and it has a F rating. Thinking this company isn't legit.
This company is an embarrassment. A disaster from the start. Over two weeks and they have no information about my order. And yet processed my payment. Avoid at all cost!
These people are actual criminals and I am pursuing the ACCC to close down all their Australian websites and their ability to fleece unwitting Australians. They claim items are on backorder when in fact the orders are never made. When you ask for a refund they claim, endlessly, that they are seeking a refund from a supplier I have no business with and can't supply an invoice to. Criminals and people in their direct locality need to picket their offices. Destroying faith in an important industry
AVOID. I ordered a limited Macklemore vinyl for my son from this company in Feb 2024. This item never arrived, it's now Nov 2024 and despite emails back and forth it clearly does not exist, and in fact never has. After repeated complaint by me a refund was promised, then all the "refund processing errors" lies as highlighted in other reviews have been repeated to me. This is impossible as it was paid via PayPal. PayPal also call complete BS on this Merchbar excuse. I asked for a copy of the supposed error…urh "sorry we can't provide that", so I asked for the billing department, who encountered this supposed error phone number, urh "they can't be contacted"! They have no intention of refunding, it's blatant theft, incredibly unethical. After all the promises of a refund they have now recommended I contact PayPal, fully knowing that you can't lodge a payment dispute with PayPal after 180 days. Lie after lie after lie. Don't buy from here unless you never want to see your item or refund! Should be shut down.
I placed an order with Merchbar on January 24,2025, for six vinyl records and paid in full. Only one item ever arrived. After multiple follow-ups and no clear timeline from support, I requested a refund on March 30. They said the rest of the order would be canceled and refunded — but weeks later, I'm still waiting for my money. Their responses were vague and dismissive. One reply actually said: "We couldn't provide an estimated date… it could lead to more frustrations." Turns out, I'm not alone. Merchbar has a known pattern of complaints on the BBB about taking payments, canceling orders, and dragging their feet on refunds. I live outside the U.S. (Israel), but they took my payment with no warning about international issues or delays. Bottom line: avoid this store if you expect transparency, accountability, or customer support that actually helps.
Ordered an album from them as a Christmas gift back in November 2024, never got it. Tried to get a refund, never got it. Avoid this company at all costs! They got one star because I had to.
Order not even "Processed" after 3 weeks of buying "in stock" items and them having my money, endless customer service responses of "Sorry we are current experiencing processing delays", DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS SCAM SITE!
I lost of $79,600 to this site,enticed by promises of substantial returns,only to discover it was all scam, but coin pursuit help me retrieve all my assets. If you're a victim,contact them.

Don't buy backorders from Merchbar, if the order is not fullfilled within 120 days it's supposed to automatically refund. However, despite well over 120 days passing there was no refund. They kept moving the 'estimate' of when it will be shipped a month forward every month. Merchbar counts on you forgetting about the order so that they can keep the money. Don't do it, its a complete sham.
Ordered 24th April 2024, it's now 27th Sep 2024. Had 4 emails replies saying supplier issue, yet the items are always listed as "in stock" & on constant sales. If the supply issues go back at least 5 months, imagine how long the people ordering after me still have left to wait... & Oh yes, the items STILL have "supply issues", but yes, they're also still in stock & on sale...
***Update*** Requested refund in October, it's a 10 day process. It's now end of Jan 2025 & I'm still waiting...
I ordered a record on backorder. After about a month I check the status. No update, but the website now says the record is in stock. So I email support asking when it will be sent. They say they had "processing issues" and can help me refund my order now if I "wish not to wait any longer." A legitimate business would reach out to a customer to let them know processing wasn't working and let them know they have canceled the order so their customer isn't just out the money. If I had never reached out, I would never have gotten this taken care of. Seems like they were hoping I would forget so they can pocket the money.
Additionally, how are you going to say you'll help me cancel the order if I don't wish to wait any longer without any clarification of the issue or a time frame? How long are we talking? The communication with me when there has been an issue has been indifferent, unhelpful, and fully pushed forward by me. $#*! you guys
I already ordered a backorder Vinyl but i cancelled it as soon as i read these reviews. They said that the team would look into it and get back to me soon (not sure what soon means) I rushed to buy it but I learn its too good to be true. Please dont buy any thing or any back order vinyl from merchbar and make the same mistake i did.
They charge you for a record they don't have, claiming it's "backstocked" which, in reality, they aren't getting their hands on rare/out of circuit vinyl (and selling them for original retail price) and basically keep your money hoping you forget about it.
