This business is not about customers. They are not want to accept returns even for a store credit. Very unprofessional and rude staff. I lost $22 since they did not give me money back while I left the product at the store in Richmond Hill.
Place order for same day delivery, paid the tip for driver, received emai and text that the order was delivered, but i received nothing. Called Michaels and fot someone in India that was no help
Yhis store chain is a joke
Had a very important christmas project go terribly awry when a gold paint marker (from Michaels) turned out to be DoA. Upsetting, sure, but it was easy enough to head back to Michaels for a replacement. Alas, they were out, and it was closing time. So I placed an online order with another store, to pick up the next day (today). The order included two paint markers (of different brands, to be safe). Not only did they cancel one without notice or an effort to substitute (because it was "out of stock" - despite the website reporting plenty availabile) - but the other one they failed to include in the order. This couldn't be checked until returning home - as the store was insanely busy and the bag was knotted shut. Project ruined, days wasted. Contacting online support in hopes that a replacement could be set aside for one more arduous, last ditch effort to salvage the situation. Unfortunately, the first associate couldn't comprehend that two different markers were ordered and neither were present, and just kept repeating that the item wasn't included because it was out of stock and I'd be refunded. After my third time trying to explain (because it's rocket science, apparently) online support HUNG UP ON ME. They asked a question and then before I could even begin to type a response they wrote "I haven't heard from you regarding the last issue for an excessive amount of time so I'm closing the chat." I can't wait until Michaels is finally out of business - they deserve it.
I ordered (10) containers with lids. I've ordered the same containers without issues previously. This time they were shipped without lids. I tried chat, no resolution, tried calling and still no resolution. Trying to return them is impossible. They're useless without lids. But their customer service doesn't care. My nearest store is over an hour away. I was told it will take a minimum of 2 weeks for a replacement order to be sent, AFTER they receive this order back. But in order to return it, it's my responsibility to drive it to a UPS center that is 40 miles away roundtrip.
I am terribly disappointed in Michaels. You advertise multiple tree available for immediate shipment back in the beginning of December but in actuality no such trees ever existed. There is no truth in advertising at Michaels nor is there any semblance of Customer Service - (the outright delivery lies promising delivery). Michaels also processed the credit card purchase when they knew they never shipped the tree. $50 is a paltry and insulting accommodation. There was no offer to provide an available replacement tree because you never had any trees that you advertised for immediate delivery. Don't disappoint yourself shop at HOBBY LOBBY!
You're short on what to do with the family on a sunday afternoon? Rainy day? Cant do barbecue? Got bored of scrabble or trivial pursuit?
Well, here's the rub. Michales is a pretty good store with a variety of DIY projects you can undertake by yourself as a hobby or with a family for collective fun activities. Definitely a worthwhile destination. I dunno if they ship to all countries but even if you check their website you can find out and get some ideas. You can ask from friends who visit the us to bring you some stuff as a gift too i guess haha
Brought a $35 frame (11X14) home and while taking off the tags it broke. They would not return my money or exchange the frame. That is their policy they told me. So I left the POS with them.
I will never go there again! And hope you don't go to get picture frames from them.
Horrible products horribly overpriced Go to Jerry's artarama they have useable products
Everything here you could get better quality anywhere else for cheaper
The messiest job imaginable, frayed edges and puckered corners, I needed that mat immediately or would have returned it, instead spend lots of time with my exato knife to make the best of it.
Really enjoy shopping at Michael's. The app is not reliable. I tried to update, and order in my phone and both computers. Wastes a lot of my time.
This company sent out a blast email stating fall items were 60% off plus an additional 20% off of the entire purchase. Then said "Sale ends tomorrow" So I went into the store to take advantage of the sale. The cashier told me she was unable to override the pricing because the sale wasn't coming up in their system. Which I didn't understand. I've worked in retail and you can manually calculate the price and override. I called customer service and they told me the text was a mistake. They have received several complaints and there is nothing they can do about it. I believe, the text was a way to get customers into their stores… and that's it. I've always shopped at Michael's but I don't like companies that operate this way. This is false advertisement and honestly it's very tacky.
Went to the store--could find nothing that I usually would get. They seem to have eliminated the dies I always got for my scrapbooking and cardmaking. Yarn supply/selection has dwindled. They suggested I go online. But as soon as I opened their site, a pop-up shows saying "get 25% off", so I clicked it--you need to fill in your email address. Fine--I did that. Then the next page says "fill in mobile phone number to receive texts in order to get coupon. Well, isn't that nice. I do not have a fancy cell phone to receive texts on. So nice to know that the business discriminates against those of us not relying on fancy cell phones. My phone is attached to my home wall. I guess that means they would rather me take my business elsewhere.
Lord forbid if you make an error on an order on their site. Can't cancel it. This is ridiculous! Why wouldn't the option to cancel be there!? And, of course, you have to call them and wait an hour to talk to someone IF they're open! And the store pick up option should be removed. There is no need to have store pick up. Go in and do your shopping… if they have stock in store that is. I hate this store! I've never hated a store so much!
Ordered a frame 2x3 feet too big to fit on the bus so picked delivery. They sent the wrong size. When I called they said I'd have to bring it in to return. Told them I couldn't get the right size back home. Too bad they said. Can't help you. Then I asked for a refund of the delivery charge. Oh they don't know if they do that. Hostile, rude and worst of all incompetent.
Now I really appreciate Walmart, Amazon, Temu, Aliexpress - all these other places that Ive had wonderful customer service. Micheals is literally the worst Ive ever had. Ive ordered from them many times in the last year with no issues. The first issues Ive ever had happened happened Sept 20th. I ordered $100 worth of paint but was given a baby girl scrapbook instead. It was supposed to go to someone named Taylor (if shes reading this). I contacted the company and they said they will not reship my items until I return the book. I expect a company to refresh immediately and give me 30 days to reship (its THEIR fault, not mine) but whatever. I drove to UPS the very next day. I waited until the next week, still nothing so I email them. I waited another 5 days, sent another email. After two weeks I finally chat with them. They never resent my items. I guess they didnt get the book or they lost it idk. They were supposed to give me a shipping label (should have emailed it immediately) but by the next day I got nothing so I used the one in the box. I really needed this paint so I was in a hurry since they were holding my package hostage. He says he finally resent it today and it will be 10 days. I still have little hope but they better or I will try to get my money back. Michaels has amazing deals which is too bad, idk if I can use them again. This situation infuriated me. It was all their screw up, not mine but Im being punished? Also normally companies give you like $10 for the inconvenience (walmart did for me) not hold your stuff hostage. Ive heard of worst things, this is just my worse.
Michael's is the store to go to, if you want to make any craft. Everyone is helpful, from the time I walk through the door, to my destination the cashier. I met Laura, who is a cashier, she is very helpful, and always has a smile. I recommend Michael's to all who want to create their own masterpiece.
I am so pleased with Erin during my purchased and I was very comfortable with your new procedure for checkout.I found the store bright clean and organized during shopping. Again thank you Erin for your friendly patient smiling help to me. Thank you
The customer service there is deplorable. Asked for help and waited over 23 minutes will no attention being given. I ended up leaving.
Lee, at the Clemson location was absolutely atrocious. He was unkind, unhelpful, and rude when asked questions. Micheals needs to do better. I would not recommend going here.
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
