Went to return a couple of spools of ribbon on Dec 31st. They did not accept them. They don't accept clearance returns on Christmas stuff after Dec 24th. That is no where posted in the store OR the receipt. Not much money lost, but still disappointing. Thankfully, Hobby Lobby is less than 2 minutes from them.
I placed an online order & I was charged immediately, but 2 weeks later, it has not shipped. Cust. Svc. (in India) won't let me cancel or get a refund.
Placed an order online and paid for same day delivery. 8 hours later got email that is was on its way. Then got email that items was out of stock. Received refund but then another charge was added to my credit card. They charged me for 1 item that they told me was out of stock and charged me over $11 dollars to go to the store to pick up the 1 item. Cancelled the order. Despicable to charge a customer $11 to go pick up one item at the store. Michaels really has done it this time. Michaels was my store for all my hobbies. They lost this long time customer for unsavory practices.
Refused to accept their own 30% coupon that met their coupon policy. Then they refused to give back the coupon! Then, they refused to register me as a senior so I could get a 10% coupon. The store uses self-service stations that don't work. I couldn't get any help. Then, they kicked me out of the store and told me never to come back. They will get their wish. I thought they were OK before. Reading comments on this site, I see there was a lot wrong. Please boycott Michael's.
U can not buy the same item in the store as the same item on line for the same price. What the blank is the difference? Did not buy the frame at 30dollars in the store. On line 15 dollars? That's a crazy practice. On line shopping. Stupid. Like to see what I buy first.
Every time I go to Michael's the prices don't match what it's marked. Then they just say I don't know why and they won't fix
11/11/22 ordered a 7" prelit Christmas tree. You would think you could get it before Xmas. 5weeks later tracking still says we've printed a label. Now with almost no time before Christmas I have to go out and find one. Their website has no phone number I could find. After multiple hoops and a long waste of time next week I'll get my money back. If you don't have a product don't list it for sale!
I wanted to get a record album framed...they quoted me $260 with 70% off...they raise the prides 100%...then they give you 70% off...don't let them fool you!...look elsewhere...ripoffs
The manager sucks. She rather have all her staff on the register instead of helping people on the floor. I have been waiting over a hour and still nothing. Spoke with the manager she shrugs and like oh well I need to help the people checking out. This is sad. I will never ever step a foot back in there. She was annoyed by me she wouldn't even look at me or let me use my rewards.I had to ask her. This is bad for business. Robin is the store manager and she made the statement that if I call it in she will be the one calling back so basically she said nothing will happen.
So, I used to love getting stuff from Michael's! Today, changed all of that. Let me just say that the website states that my pickup order will be ready in 2 hours. I understand the holiday season and being short staffed but I also know that Michaels has replaced cashiers with self checkouts. Ok, so I call the store at hour 3 and was told that they are busy, and short staffed and that my order probably won't be ready until the next day. I spoke with my husband who graciously agreed to go to the store and pick out the stuff and just do it himself. He got to the store and could not find an item that I wanted as they were sold out or such a disastrous mess that it wasn't worth his time to look. He spoke to someone who said that they'd cancel my order. I waited, no email, so I called to cancel my order. Which then I'm told that I can't until I an order is ready message. I told them that we went to the store, we found nothing that we wanted and that I was told that my order wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. She was like ok, well call me back when you get that notification. I honestly am not proud of my next moment but I told this lady how Michaels falsely advertised having my order ready for me in hours and if they can't stand by that then they need to make the change or cancel the ability to pick up the items. All of a sudden my order is canceled and I got an email saying that my card was not charged as it isn't until pick up is completed. Seriously am understanding why online shopping is just better to have stuff shipped to my house and never deal with in store stuff. Michaels you are a dinosaur anyway. You've lost this customer. Also, I forgot how the one customer service person offered me a $10 coupon for my next order! Slap in the face. Done!
I placed an order this morning that I needed to cancel about 20 minutes after, the website would not let me cancel for some reason, it had the option but I could not click on it. After an hour apparently it cannot be canceled and you have to wait until it is shipped to your house to return it. I couldn't cancel it 2 hours after placing the order which is crazy to me. I called and tried to explain my frustrations on the phone and the girl on the phone seemed like se was just reading from a scrip. Which annoyed me even more. Half way she just hung up on me.
I will never order online with Michaels again. I received one of my items and still waiting for the other, I have called and even did a chat and keep getting the same story which is not helpful. The items I ordered are exactly the same and come from the same place. Never again. I can't even cancel the one I'm waiting for she says I have to wait. Really disappointed. It's like they really don't care about their customers.
I received notification about 2 orders I never placed. I contacted customer service to discover my account had been hacked and my credit card information stolen. I was told the orders were cancelled after speaking with their fraud department. One day later I received notification that one of the fraudulent orders has been shipped. I continue my fight with Michels to keep my name clear. Shoppers beware! Michael's website is NOT secure!
I ordered a Christmas tree from them early November. The shipment came about 5 days after that. A few days after this, I had gone through my order details and noticed that the price dropped on the tree from $252 dollars down to $185... fairly significant drop.
Like many others, I am busy with life and made a note to give them a call for a price adjustment. I had done so a few days later. The customer service rep spoke very rough english, did not seem to care about my problem, and simply stated that I was outside of the 7 day policy period for price adjustments.
I mentioned that it was only a couple of days, and that I could just have easily brought it into the store, done a return, and re-purchased it at the lower price... she didn't budge. Asked to speak with a manager but "there wasn't one available". Asked to leave my number for her manager and give me a call back and she was unwilling to do that but insisted that I call again at another time. Although she advised that I would probably get the same response.
There are 100s of other places I could have purchased the tree from but I did so with them and asked for a simple price adjustment... instead of yielding the difference of that they lost the sale entirely for over $250 dollars when I returned it at a physical location and I wouldn't hesitate to mention the lack of service/support to others. At least the in-person service was smooth.
You won't see me at Michaels when I can order from my home from amazon with stellar customer support. Good luck Michaels.
I love Michael's store and I used to shop with them in-store pretty regularly. But I would never shop with them online even for store pick-ups ever again. The app and website is terrible. On the app, I was shopping and added things to my cart to pick up at location #1. I went to the website to shop on the computer after, and placed the order and it switched the pickup location to location #2. Since it was late, I checked their help page and it states that I can request to cancel pick-up orders by contacting customer service if needed. So I placed a new order to the correct location #1.
Hours later in the middle of the night, my location #1 pickup was cancelled fro no reason. Next day, I contacted live chat and spoke to an agent who didn't know what she was talking about. I clearly explained to her multiple times that I want to cancel the location #2 pickup order and she kept copy and pasting "we can send you a UPS label for a return" when I stated 3 times that this is NOT a delivery order, it's pickup. Then she kept saying they cannot cancel orders even though Michael's own help page says it's possible. Then she confused herself about the 2 orders and kept saying one is cancelled; yes duh, the one I want is cancelled, that's why I'm chatting with you in the first place. She then told me it was cancelled because of payment verification issue even though both orders used the same exact payment info and the other order wasn't cancelled. I closed the chat out of frustration and reordered with PayPal, and don't have issues so far.
Don't bother dealing with Michael's agents if your store pickup order has issues. They don't know what the F they're talking about and just copy paste info. I was fuming because this agent wasn't listening. Seems like company now are maximizing incompetence and yet I'm paying them for this crap. Also, the pickup location was for Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn NY. I run a small business from home and don't have time for this. I hate Amazon but this is why people flock to Amazon; incompetence of these companies let that big retailer thrive.
I just wanted to shout out the excellence that I received at the Michael's on West 86th street in indianapolis (store 5807). Lauren was amazing! She helped me find product, discover some expired product and helped me make adjustments. Great work! Cashier Symone was just as pleasant and helpful! Best Michael's experience yet!
I purchased a 10 drawer rolling cart, the box was open, but the only other box in the color I wanted had a big hole in it! When I got it home, one of the drawers was broken! I returned it without problem, but I wonder if I was the first person to buy and return it and if they just put it back on the shelf after I left! I will not be buying boxed items there again!
I had Michaels frame a canvas painting for me it came out all wavey and wrinkled, I took it back to them to make right, but they couldn't fixe it, told me thats the best they can do. I later took the painting to another professional shop and had him fix it. Thats is sad that being incompetent is the new norm.
DO NOT BUY ONLINE! They will lie about the arrival date and then refuse to refund you and state your shipment is on time even though it's arriving 5 days later than the stated date. Upon checking out, it said our package would arrive the 28th in two different places, but as you can see, they just "shipped" it at 8pm on the 28th and the only reason they did that was probably because I reached out to customer service. Reached out to customer service and all they said was refer to this policy and have a nice day. When you refer to the policy, it gives more evidence that they were late and should refund you. As you can see, ordered the 26th and even if we ordered after 11 CT, it should have been processed next business day. Pretty sure the 28th doesn't come the day after the 26th but who's counting? Point blank, horrible service with absolutely no regard for customer satisfaction. Last time I'll waste my money on cheap decorations with this store. Would give a 0 rating if I could.
Ok what's going on? It's either ups or michaels that is not shipping my items because they haven't left the access point yet? So I'll just give bad feedback I guess that's where I'm at because it should have been shipped already but I see it's just sitting there at the access point. I've had no problem till now so I don't know what is going on with the service in my eyes it's dropped because there's no reason why it shouldn't be shipped and on its way by now so whatever the reason I will just have to keep doing what I'm doing till I get an answer as of now the service is sub par what it was. Now if I call I'll get well it should be in the back waiting till ups picks it up so I won't call because I know what kind of response I'll get so what's the deal your lagging and i really didn't want to give negative feedback but there's money involved so I guess that weighs more for now
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
