Michaels is such a big joke. Over 2 days, 2 orders, being on phone with supervisors and reps in customer service. Everyone gave me the wrong information during this whole ordeal. Speaking to the reps there is obviously a language barrier. You have to go through this before you can speak to someone that actually speaks English. I spent more money getting orders that still were not correct. The last supervisor I just was speaking to, I believe her name was Shanika or Shaniqua, I explained what was happening and my aggravation 2 x and she still asked how can I help you. I just hung up on her because either she was not listening or just did not care. I believe both. I lost a client behind this nightmare and they lost a business customer. All I can say is believe the reviews.
Don't order online if you need anything anytime soon!
I placed an order on the 29th, and they sent an email back same day saying my order was on its way with a tracking #. Checked today, 5 days later, and it's still only "label created". They haven't even shipped it yet.
I contacted customer service and explained they were a time sensitive order and I need to cancel so I can find replacements somewhere locally. They out and out refused because "a label has been created", & won't do anything until 4-6 business days has passed without receiving it. Obviously I'm not going to receive it in 4-6 business days since they haven't even shipped it yet, but they still force the wait time & refuse to do absolutely anything about it.
I will NEVER be doing business with Michael's again. As a small business owner I don't have the time or the extra funds to compensate this big business's dishonesty (saying it was shipped when it wasn't), and ineptness.
I shopped at the Michaels's store in Gurnee today and Theresa was so helpful and knowledgable about products. It was a very pleasant experience. Please keep this location open.
While on a call with Moody he just hung up, I called back he hung up again. It was very stressing I was just trying get information on what todays date was and some other items being sold at Michaels. :(
I was calling this store to find out if they had Indian corn and the young lady who answered phone was very friendly, said she would check with her Manager. She came back and said they did. I said I should have asked how many were left and what colors. The manager came on the phone and she said they only had about 6 left and told me exactly the colors and I asked her another specific question and she went and checked for me. Told her I couldn't come for a few hours to pick it up and Laura said she would leave the Indian Corn at front register for me and asked my name. When I went to pick them up, not only did Laura, the store manager, come out to help me, but she showed me the other samples of Indian corn they had. I apologized for being OCD. But they were going on a loved one's grave and Laura was so kind and said she would be the same way. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I always have shopped at Michael's, love their merchandise, decorations and seasonal things and the staff is ALWAYS so helpful, even with someone like me. Thank you, Laura and what a great store!
I bought $400 in a wrong product for my shop and returned, they gave me 2 gift cards. I used 1 of them, received some collector's tins all smashed (1st problem, the horrible shipping of a delicate product, and even though I asked on the chat to be more protected, their "better"was still not badly protected), had to return again, they split in like 5 gift cards, because there was a voucher used. Ok. Used 2 of them, received the products, but i still had to use 2 gift cards of 70 and had 45 on vouchers.
So it started to stop functioning, 16 cancelled orders in a row. Tried everything, with gift card, with voucher, voucher + card. Tried to chat on the customer service tones of times, opening case Ids, by email, tried even to order by the phone (worst experience felt in 18th century, lost an hour and the order was cancelled the same way). They always gave me the same answer that "You may want to check and make sure that the shipping and billing address match and they are the same as the one on your method of payment. This is normally what would cause an order to cancel." but they dont say WHAT is causing specifically. How come it could be cancelled if i used the gift card without any address?
I lots MANY DAYS trying to use this money, it has been 3 weeks already. They are driving me crazy, I never had so much trouble to buy in a shop. They simply dont know how to help. I dont know what to do so I am coming public to see if anyone pays attention on me. I just want to spend money is that so hard?
I lost count of the hours i lost. Each order was at least 1 one triying to discover what could be wrong. 16 hours at lease and a lot of nervousism.
Do NOT put an application in, if you're over 50, if its a new store. I wouldn't even shop there, if you're over 50. They will hire you in to do the hardest part (setting the store up), and brag on you for the next two weeks, then the day of opening, you're fired! Their excuse, is it's not in the budget. They do this at every store they open. I won't give them another dime and I'll spread the word how they treat the elderly. They're good enough to keep around for getting them setup, but not good enough to keep them on the schedule there after. I had to give a star, but they don't deserve not even that one!
I have always purchased Halloween spooky town little houses it included the house and electric cord. These days while covid is present in these past two years prices have gone up! I remember paying on retail $50.00 it included the light power cord! Now they are $100.00! Without the cord. When I had ordered online missed the small print cord not included - sold separately. I called the customer service no help. I just told the guy forget it I'll go to store to purchase. After research ended up purchasing online nothing available at the store. I had to order cost $7.99 to $14.99 plus tax and shipping! I'm very disappointed why customer has to pay so much!
I go to micheals practically every week, but I fell iLL and could not go in this is the 3rd time I have ordered on line first 2 I was given the wrong items which is why I go in this 3rd time I not only received the wrong item I did not get an item as well when I emailed I spoke to Darlene and was told she can return my money for the item that dident come but for the one I was sent wrong she said keep it or donate it when I asked then if your giving me the option to donate it are you reimbursing me she said nope I said then why are you asking me to donate my stuff she had the worst customer service and was not even able to offer to place it in an gift card because of her I will be taking my online buisness else where thanks micheals!
Online it said they had a certain item at their Torrance location, ready for pick up within 2 hours. I drove from Culver City to Torrance just to find out they don't have it, that their site 'estimates' their count, something that is not disclosed online, especially given it stated that the item was ready for pick up in two hours (other stores noted out of stock, hence why I drove to Torrance). They had the same item in a smaller quantity, but refused to make an exception to combine the smaller quantities and sell for the price of the larger quantity that they were out of after I drove over 15 miles. Waste of my time and gas. Seems to perhaps be some sort of switch and bate going on, as well. I'm not happy and won't be patronizing Michael's again.
I used to love Michaels. I have spent over $1000. 00 shopping online these. I buy products monthly for my crafting business. They no longer ship ANYTHING I used to order. Everything I want, not only no longer ships to me, but my 3 local stores do not have these products in stock. I'm angry. I asked a chat person why, they did not know. I'm talking about over 50 items too. (Not just 1) I will have to buy my products somewhere else.
My husband had purchased on line a Circuit machine for a Anniversary gift for me, you can imagine my excitement when it arrived, tryed to install it using utube on 3 devices (without a Manual as non in box) for hrs finally
I called called into customer support calmly explained my situation …. 1st lady I was hung up on and afte 4 more calls, I given the complete run around, I called called in 5 times, each time being told a either email would be sent out immediately to return UNUSED item or told I had to contact Cricut themselves going through a series of troubleshooting with them & then if no success
I needed to receive a letter from them to return NEW faulty $447.00 machine …,
I was appalled i finally emailed customer support and someone there emailed back saying she apologized and I was given wrong information and with receipt I could make the hr drive to closest Michaels to get full refund!
I went and they were wonderful, so polite, I will NEVER make a on line purchase from Micheals again due to this very negative experience….
I'd strongly advise caution with dealing with them for anyone buying big ticket items …, & if there was a minus star, I'd of given them a minus -*10.
Disgusting customer service.
I placed an order June 9th for 4th of July party. I recieved the shipment on 2 different days 9 days apart. First box had a graduation gnome in it so when I called i was talking to someone in customer service that was in the Philippines. Had to keep repeating everything I said. She made a return and a new order. I recieved my uncle Sam gnome about 5-6 days later. Now remember I order early for a 4th July party. The end of June I recieved my other part of my order. It was vases and flowers... everything in that shipment was broken. NO bubble wrap on anything. Just items (breakable) put in a box and shipped... ugggg
I called customer service again same thing someone from the Philippines. Very nice and made a return and another shipment for my items. I asked a couple times if I would have all my stuff before the the 4th, I was told yes each time. On the 3rd of July I called because I didn't get email or my package. I talked to a man this time and was told my order was canceled and that I should have recieved aemail and a refund. No email and no refund! So the night of the 3rd I was out shopping for decoration for my party. Nothing anywhere. I was pissed beyond words. I will never order from micheals again unless I can pick up in store. This experience has soured me from their store and mostly from their online shipping. I wish I would have taken photos of all the broken stuff. Only photo I have is my uncle Sam gnome.
The Eatontown Michaels is Garbage, the woman manager is very nasty. The way she talks to the employees and customers is disgusting. The shelves are empty and when you ask for some help the manager acts like its the end of the world. The store is very dirty needs a new manager ASAP! Notice few fire hazzards in that store. Bathrooms are dirty. ITS GROSS I will take my business to JOANN'S
This was the worst serves. Would not assist down loading coupon when i asked for help i could see the coupon and could not use it
They are so helpful! The cashier's go above and beyond to make sure you as the customer are satisfied.
I have shopped online as well as in the store and it has always been a wonderful and delightful experience.
The aisle are always neat and clean. The shelf's are always full of items. I'm so impressed by the hospitality. I will always shop and recommend you do too! You won't regret it! Professional company.
"Michael's" Store location I visited: Bloomington, MN; "Circuit City Plaza" near 494 and France, on June 20,2022.
Bad experience! These folks working there have no idea they have customers, nor do they care. No regard for the experience of people shopping. SUPER SLOW. On top of it, if you express frustration, they sabotage you, by, for instance, not telling you that you've left a purchased item at checkout, and being rude, by, for instance, not responding to your thanks for help or interacting with your during checkout. Just BAD. Can someone please fire these people, and hire ones who actually care?
I bought, on the spur of the moment, a flag holder for a flag received from a funeral. The holder was too small for the flag I have. Before I took the plastic off that covered the holder, I held the flag against it and thought it would fit. The store manager and corporate customer service would do nothing about accepting the return because it was opened. I work in retail and we accept returns no matter how old or in what condition. I told customer service i planned on buying the larger holder they carry but, after this experience, I will not spend another penny at their stores.
Michaels is my go-to store for crafts. I had the privilege of meeting with cashier Eleanor (not sure if that is her name) on 4/28 around noon was she was the delight of my day --- she was helpful, professional, pleasant, answered questions and she had so many more positive attributes. It was a wonderful experience and greatly appreciated.
The store opens at 9 am. I got there at 9:45 and was told that the framer would be there 10:15. I did some shopping and came back at 10:30. There was still no framer. I would have thought if they different hours then the store they would advertise this. So sad that I was hoping to get this done. I guess not.
Answer: Why can't you speak with a supervisor or team leader.Do they have any or are they just that busy.
Answer: I've found the prices at Michael's to be about the same as Joann's Fabrics, depending on what you get and how big of a selection you're looking for. Joann's obviously has a larger fabric selection, but the rest is about the same based on the stores in my city. Michael's has some very unique jewelry supplies, if you like to make jewelry. If I just need something pretty basic (paint, brushes, thread, jewelry chain, kids crafts, etc.), I go to whichever store is closest to the area I'll be in that day. If I'm working on jewelry, I check both stores because the selections are different and the prices are about equal. Hobby Lobby may have some better quality items, but you'll pay a lot more than what it's worth.
Answer: Not legit. Just try to get to the corporate office. Look at the reviews... not legit in any way.
