I build systems for myself and having a local business that stocks just about everything you could want for computer tinkering is awesome! I have had good luck buying new and refurbished/ returned laptops there too.
AFTER reading numerous poor reviews and having a personal crappy experience from an indifferent cashier and an equally dispassionate manager, I can easily concur that when there are issues with products, caching out "supposed discounts" or anything to do with making things RIGHT with customers! The staff and especially the management give off a "I really DON'T give a damn about your problem" attitude, no matter how grievious the wrong done to the customer. Had I not needed the purchases for my daughter to begin homeschooling my gr4anddaughters the next day, I would have left the entire shopping cart of items right there on the cashier counter and walked out, NEVER looking back! I tell EVERYONE I can, about my sucky experience with this entity, and even after numerous calls to see if ANYONE CARES, I have yet to even get a response, by email, phone, text, voicemail, from ANYONE in the corporation... I purchased several security products from microcenter for over 20 years ... I just recently learned that they have backdoor subseven viruses in their cell phones... laptops and the securty systems that they sell. The average user or non expericened pc, electronics and cell phone person wouldnt notice... anyone who is a system building... computer programmer or have taken hacking classes will know the non sense that Microcenter does... They are just as bad as Microsoft and Google and these other terrorist organizations who hide behind these front businesses to do what they do. They share your feed and the content of your devices... they put custom mods or software on your devices rending you unable to make choices of disable persmission... You buy your stuff outright but they continue to control your devices. Their business and their products should be up in flames . Anything connected to google, microcenter, microsoft, amazon, etc... Get that product out of your home. Stay away from European products... they are spies and terrorist. Wyze, Aqai, Western Digital, Defender, Swann... most of these items are tainted, hackable and a security risk... they allow police to intercept, erase and remove without your permission. We dont need businesses like that... They should be in ashes for crossing the line. Police or anyone else should follow the law... go through the right processes to gather intel... Made an appointment to have someone run diagnostics on my iPhone 15 pro max. When I arrived the tech stated that I would need to leave the phone until the next day. What?! What a joke. What sense does that make? Human beings go into surgery and come out faster than that. May as well go directly to an Apple Store.

Don't expect good, honest service from anyone in the store unless they're getting commission for it. If you are not a computer expert, you will be paying the maximum amount of money in repairs, warranty coverage and actual hardware. Additionally, none of the cashiers have the energy to work in retail.
Reserved a Smart TV online upon conversation with the Micro center customer rep over phone. He assured this is brand new TV and I can reserve it by paying the amount on the website. When I went to pickup the TV at their Paterson, NJ which almost about 45 mins drive, store manager says if I need the TV I will have to pay extra $800. He said website has incorrect data and is maintained by their Corporate office. He can do nothing about it.
One piece of advice to the company. Be little professional and stick to your word. Never going to recommend them to any of my family & friends.

I both two speakers online here. It takes forever before I got it. One of the speakers is damaged. I called customer service to return it. He said he will send me a return paper works. But it was a lie, I never received anything. They packed the speakers like little kid. They put the speakers inside a big box without enough padding causing to moved around and damaged during the shipment. I highly discouraged the consumer from buying here if you don't want headache.
Dont bother bringing in for repairs. You will never see your computer again. Zero contact after dropping off. No idea what is wrong is system worth fixing. Lost over weeks pay. Told me I would get an estimate within 2 days. That was 10 days ago.
While I was shopping at the Mayfield heights location my daughter was made to feel extremely uncomfortable and she begged me to leave which we did with haste. Anyway this guy with a limp looked her up and down and then winked at her of course without me seeing cause I would have knocked him out, but anyway my poor 16 year old daughter was so upset she cried the entire ride home which by the way is over an hour. I Will never shop online or in-store at micro center ever again. Sincerely one very upset parent
Really disappointed, DO NOT use their online ordering. I purchased a computer today, it was confirmed, drove 45 min. Waited 45 min. Waiting then they said they could not find it... go buy another one somewhere. Walmart has better prices... very frustrating and my entire office has moved away from them.

You supposedly can pick up in 18 minutes but it takes them 2 1/2 days just to ship an overnight order. I ordered the part on Tuesday with overnight shipping and won't receive it until the 4th! How does this make any sense? Two calls later... with a promise to ship the next day that was broken and another call to hear the customer service person spew the company line of "it takes time to ship and overnight is from when we ship it, not when you order" Total BS... Company sucks... wish I could give them 0 stars.
Forget customer service. Expect 2/3 hrs to get one question answered. Menus is probably 15 min long not to mention anyone can answer only one question. I have been trying to find out how to pay a bill. Opened credit card for 5% discount. Should have gone to Apple. No store numbers given. Irritating.
First motherboard I purchased had damage to the box that also damaged the motherboard, after returning it and getting another one the second one was opened up missing components. I will no longer shop from this retailer. Only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is they are fast with offering the refund, almost like they do it to often because they know this is a problem their employees can take advantage of.
I am a small business owner that purchased a Power Spec PC yesterday to upgrade an existing PC. The salesperson was able to find a PC with the specs I needed. Once I returned to my office, I noticed that the PC had Windows 10 Home rather than Pro. The PC that I was shown had Windows 10 Pro which is a requirement for my environment. When I contacted customer support, they were unable to work with me to correct the issue. Their only option: Purchase a new operating system. I have purchased over 10 PCs, 6 laptops, and 5 tablets as well as other various products just in the last 12 months. Well... not any longer. I will not return. They could care less about keeping good customers, therefore we will take our business elsewhere.
Brought in my Dell laptop after friend's daughter accidentally stepped on it. Told them we had issues with display as well as obvious ding to the case.
4 days after bringing in they said they had to order a part. 5 days after that they texted me that laptop was repaired.
$174 for the case repair.
Just got it home.
Blue screen.
They never did anything beyond the cosmetics.

Couldn't have been simpler. Had receipt. Brought printer. Had extended warranty... it took close to an hour. They sent me to at least 5 people and 3 different places in the store, the knowledge center (no knowledge, service desk and registers... and back and forth.

I recently dropped my laptop off for a black screen. Two days later I contacted Micro Center via chat and was advised that my computer was ready. I was given my computer tried turning it on and still had a black screen. Another tech advised it's probably my motherboard and it would cost over $500 to put a new motherboard in. After doing some research the motherboard was less than $100. I then asked how much it would cost to remove the SSD Drive and was told $135. After watching YouTube on removing the SSD drive it took less than 5 minutes. They just rip consumers off.

I am not a huge electronics person, but they always seem to have what I am looking for. My boyfriend frequently goes here for bits and pieces and they always have what he needs. He helped a friend build his own computer from purchases here, and it was very affordable. Some things I feel they are a little overpriced on, but for the most part it is very reasonable. And I enjoy the atmosphere and selection more here than at some other electronics chain stores.
I enjoy shopping at Micro Center and I have purchased several computers, laptops and PC accessories from them.
Their check service could be better and more efficient but other than that they offer a good variety of products.
I have made a lot of purchases and everyone has been perfect transactions. This place keeps digital records, so don't worry about receipts and/or disputes. Returns, exchanges, questions, no problem. Fantistic place!
Took a dell in the guy did diagnose hardrive was missing from a computer I got, its a good unit but the guy said it was not worth fixing would cost $300 and it would be cheaper to buy another one, I looked and outside of notepads they were all $1200-2000, lazy tech and just a money grab. Already looking to get my own hardrive for $50. Normally they have been great but very poor service logically they appear to rather gouge you for $2000 than fix a 5 yr old computer.

Bought my wife an early Christmas present a gaming laptop. With the protection plan. Within the first week when waking it up from sleep it would go into blue screen repair status. EVERY TIME brand new. We take it in. Service says it'll be up to about 3 weeks. Granite she uses it for her work. And here we are half way through week 4 and they just now got to it and are ordering parts that will take another week or so to arrive then another to repair who knows.
It's nice to buy laptops from them with their "protection plans" for almost $2,000 then 2 weeks later half to turn it in for repair for weeks and now months with barely any contact. No new laptop we purchased and were left sitting questioning why we continue to deal with these companies!

Brought my computer with one problem, but left with two. Unfortunately, they are wasnt able to fix the problem which is perfectly fine, soon as drove back to home, I plugged in and shock... the keyboard (two rows)... wasnt able to type. I drove back to the store in an hour and one of the managers blamed on me, maybe it wasnt working before or I spilled some water. Finally, I been told that no one is able even look it up my computer. Really? Why did I pay for the service?
Bought a PowerSpec G439 from here with a 2 year warranty right around a year ago. Have been getting an error saying "Over current have been detected on USB device! System will shut down to protect motherboard". I brought it in a week ago tomorrow, and it still" hasn't been assigned to a technician" is what I've been told. I've now been told twice they are going to email the manager to get an update, and they don't know when he works again. So much for their 48 hour repair service... I'll never buy from here again
