I ordered an MSI Laptop. A model they carry exclusively. They charged my card and then delayed. They called me a few days later and said they couldn't "verify" my credit card. This seemed funny as I was looking at the charge made on my card. They asked for bank number on back of card. There is no number its an X1 smart card Visa issued by Community Bank. I offered their email and asked what else can be done. Perhaps a photograph of my card and license? Nope. They cancelled my order. Now they post on their site for the item I wanted that it is local pickup only. I am contacting MSI about this as it is exclusively through them. Not everyone lives in Tustin California. The level of incompetence is staggering! I don't believe Micr Center should have any such exclusitiity with such restrictions.
I recently went to Micro Center to purchase a new iPad to replace my old iPad Air. I was so excited. A supervisor finally helped me and proceeded to show me 2 iPads. She seemed friendly and knowledgeable enough. She pushed the one that was on sale that day. I asked why the price was so low ($300) and she said it was just an excellent sales price. When I got home I realized I had inadvertently purchased a wi-fi only iPad. My salesperson never mentioned this when she was touting the features. Is it my responsibility to know or remember to prompt the sales staff to tell me all the features? Now I'm stuck with an iPad with no option to buy a data plan for it. So if I'm not home I hate having to go into a McDonalds or Starbucks to be able to use this nearly-worthless (to me anyway) piece of dead equipment. It doesn't help that I had to stand around for 10 minutes before I could find anyone willing to help, even though at the time there were 5 young (under 30) employees laughing and talking amongst themselves and ignoring my presence. That made my disheartening purchase all the worse.
I both two speakers online here. It takes forever before I got it. One of the speakers is damaged. I called customer service to return it. He said he will send me a return paper works. But it was a lie, I never received anything. They packed the speakers like little kid. They put the speakers inside a big box without enough padding causing to moved around and damaged during the shipment. I highly discouraged the consumer from buying here if you don't want headache.
They carry ASUS. I had nothing but intense aggravation with a band new laptop under warranty. ASUS is the worst ever. They torture their buyers. Look at all the negative reviews on the BBB in CA. Over 400. This retailer should stop selling these computers. First time I bought a computer from this retailer.
I bought a brand new motherboard, power supply and case to build a new computer. They are all working fine and nothing wrong with them. I have returned one graphics card from Micro Center that would never show any display. I've tried for hours and tried updating drivers, changing BIO settings but this piece of crap never works. I have a second one that is still doing the same exact thing. I don't know if this is a manufacturer problem, but I never trusted AMD products which these cards are. But it sounds like its both an AMD problem and a Micro center problem. Why would you give a customer a product that doesn't even work properly? I can understand the GPU situation that theres a shortage of GPUs, but at least test the damn thing before selling it instead of wasting people's time. I can't even buy another GPU at any other store because Micro center is the only one that has it and they do a $#*! job of quality inspection of these products. Ridiculous.
Be careful everyone! I ordered an in-stock item on-line at 10am and after using my credit card it was suppose to be reserved. I was supposed to receive an e-mail to pick up the item within 25min, is what they advertise. I waited till 4pm and still no e-mail to pick up the item, so I called customer service and was told that the Tustin store was behind on picking the orders. I was told to go to the store and they will just pick up the item off the shelf for me, after driving 35miles to the store I found out that the item was no longer available and they canceled my order, but they recommended a comparable racing wheel for $150 more!
I have been buying from Microcenter for 15 years. Their Marietta GA location has always taken care.of me and my business. I purchased and 2- seperate laptops. Both Acer's have issues. The Acer Nitro 5 ( I pretty much picked on my own) from their Dallas location and screen went bad with in warranty period but cashier evidently entered Wrong serial number on receipt, from what Manager said. Manager said so sorry their is nothing they could do. I had the original box and serial # on unit. No go! We can't help!
I called Acer and hopefully they can help. At least they are going to try. Brand new computer. Why serial numbers didn't match is a mystery. I will never go out of my way For Microcenter again.
They will.not be around much longer with their crappy attitude. I will review Acer after experience.
I tried to upload Proof of Purchase but did not load for some reason.
Never have what they advertise and only to reserve before you buy. Also what good is it to enter product into shopping cart to see the price. Micro Center has become just crooked as the rest of the other stores and is no more a reputable store it once was. Their marketing gimmics has over ridden the quality of products and service it once was known for.
Forget customer service. Expect 2/3 hrs to get one question answered. Menus is probably 15 min long not to mention anyone can answer only one question. I have been trying to find out how to pay a bill. Opened credit card for 5% discount. Should have gone to Apple. No store numbers given. Irritating.
About a week ago, I ordered a PC online and made the mistake of having it delivered to my house. A few days later I see that my money is refunded and I get an e-mail saying that they canceled my order. It's really frustrating when you trust a website/company and they just cancel your product with no follow-up. In hindsight, I should've just picked it up at the store that day and this would have been avoided. So a suggestion would be to reserve your order and pick it up from MicroCenter.
Simply put, the WORST experience in buying a PC I have ever had.
The store clerk, Joseph Thon, was rude, dismissive and aggressively tried to push parts on me saying they were "the last ones they had in stock". Numerous times during our conversation, he just walked off and acted like he had better things to do with his day than discuss the purchase of a PC with me. He did not seem to have any other customers or phone calls to attend to. It felt like this was pushing me through every decision to be made. When picking out a case for the computer, Mr. Thon pointed at one and said "just take it already". I was honestly on the verge of walking out but was eager to replace my computer since it had just died that day and I work from home. It was a mistake.
Upon taking the PC home I found that the hard drive I bought was not correctly installed in order to be identified by the OS and there was less RAM than I paid for installed in the machine. Later, I discovered that the fans on my GPU were not properly set up after the PC overheated because they were set to remain off until the PC reached more than 60 degrees Celsius. The computer is still under warranty but I absolutely do not trust them enough to seek them out for any reason ever again. I would sooner see that store burned to the ground than return even for a refund.
I have since talked to several other patrons of this location. They told me they experienced similar dismissive attitudes and felt rushed buying other products (headphones, etc) from employees at this Micro Center.
The Micro Center at 1957 E. Joppa Road in Parkville, Maryland seems to operate like a shady used car salesman. They know they have something you want and they take pride in abusing their customer base through underhanded and aggressive salesmanship. One star is frankly too many for this terrible establishment. Potential buyer BEWARE!
I bought a vizio v405-h19 102 days ago. It was a refurb but the guy assured me it was working condition. So imagine my surprise when I connected a sound bar and nothing. But since I didn't connect any audio out devices until 102 days later. They're sticking me with the broke one they sold me. Hmmmm Customer no more I think.
For the second time I went into Microcenter to buy a tablet and had to leave the store without making a purchase because the tablet shelves were blocked by carts with merchandise that was waiting to be shelved. I have osteoarthritis and it's often not easy for me to get into the store to shop. Complaints mean nothing. All they do is say they're sorry for the inconvenience. Big deal. Just too much trouble and too much drama having to complain. I GIVE UP ON MICRO CENTER. They're good for paper and odds and ends but I'm going to make my major purchases online at Amazon. I have no interest in Microcenter online except for product information. If I can't buy in their store than I won't buy from them at all.
Went to MicroCenter's website and placed an order at 12:06 AM on 9-16-2021 paying for next-day shipping. Having not received any email other than the one saying I opened an online order account, I have not received anything about my order as of closing today (9/17/2021). I called a number for MicroCenter that my item has not been picked or boxed yet. I was told that as far as "Next Day" is concerned that has nothing to do with the entire process, just when FedEx ends up picking up my package. Kind of sad that Next Day is not what it used to be. Will never order from MicroCenter again. Hope they don't wait till next to tell me they have none in stock or they will be dealing with a REAL pissed off customer.
Not a good company to ever buy from. Claimed to sell me a new laptop but is less than 5 months and already having serious issues. Not turning on. I will report this to them asap. Unacceptable
I went to MicroCenter to buy a laptop - after my 1-yr old laptop, from a maker I will not name, simply, died on me without any known damage or warnings.
First, I researched the laptops in stock, via MicroCenter's website; and finding what I wanted was listed, as being in-stock.
I met and engaged with a sales associate, sharing what I found online and requested for verification. I, specifically, asked to be verified that the laptop had a "specific feature." The associate retrieved the model from stock and assured me it met my specifications. (Unfortunately, you're not able to open the package to, actually, view the product to check it matches your specs.)
However, after getting home and opening the package, I discovered it lacked the very spec I indicated as a must have. (I commuted a total of 70 miles for this).
I contacted Customer Service - who was very understanding of my issue - and the Rep began to initiate a solution. The Rep put me on hold and contacted the Store and spoke with a Manager. I was told to return to the store, as I needed the laptop for immediate use. I began the 70 mile roundtrip journey, again.
Once at the store, the Manager - after apologizing for the error and it having to cause me such another long road trip - to resolve the problem, actually, provided me a laptop which was an upgrade and offered other financial reparations for the trouble caused.
I, only, accepted the upgrade - making him aware I wasn't attempting to scam the store and declined the other financial offer.
Overall, I reminded myself that for future computer and electronic purchases, MicroCenter will be the FIRST resource I use. On past visits, the staff, always, greet you upon entering the store, asking how they may assist you. All my past experiences have been met by efficient staff and services, along with a very clean store.
Recently I visited the store in Fairfax, Virginia, looking for an SSD drive. One of my friends and I had researched it on line and narrowed it down to two choices. The store was not crowded, but there seemed to be few staff available, and finding the drive was a huge challenge. When I finally got t the right area, after several misdirections, I found a staff member who didn't know anything about the drives, and a big case of stuff cluttering the floor in that aisle so that it was hard to navigate. Then a big guy wanted to get past and accused me of being disrespectful when I didn't get out of his way fast enough, partly because I didn't see how to do that. No help from staff, of course, and find a manager? Yeah, right. On my way out, looking for someone to whom I could complain, I found one very helpful guy, Conor Heanus, who actually knew what to get for me and how to get it without my having to run the maze and the gauntlet yet again. I will try my very best never to set foot in that chaotic menagerie again.
Took a dell in the guy did diagnose hardrive was missing from a computer I got, its a good unit but the guy said it was not worth fixing would cost $300 and it would be cheaper to buy another one, I looked and outside of notepads they were all $1200-2000, lazy tech and just a money grab. Already looking to get my own hardrive for $50. Normally they have been great but very poor service logically they appear to rather gouge you for $2000 than fix a 5 yr old computer.
Brought in my Dell laptop after friend's daughter accidentally stepped on it. Told them we had issues with display as well as obvious ding to the case.
4 days after bringing in they said they had to order a part. 5 days after that they texted me that laptop was repaired.
$174 for the case repair.
Just got it home.
Blue screen.
They never did anything beyond the cosmetics.
Waiting on their response
Hello, all sites are scam. People get paid to give positive feedback, as I do, but I didn't give positive feedback. I don't want them to cheat people
