The rep who sold me the Surface lied to me and the company refuses to honor the $100 post-sale credit they promised. Even though it was written and saved in the chat log. Two follow-up chat conversations and a very long phone call to sales support and each time was told "we can't do anything, but we've put a note in for the chat rep and they will contact you tomorrow to fix this". All BS. No one ever follows up. Asking for a manager gets you hung up on. Which means another 30 minutes on hold or waiting for a chat rep to respond. I will never buy another Microsoft device again.
I came back for holiday and I found my app gone for no reason. I tried uninstalling and installing it but it said "something happened on our end" and it keeps asking for microsoft edge's latest download! Come on, I have microsoft edge (latest version downloaded) but it still does not work! What else does this thing WANT! WHY THIS THING?! I pay good money for good apps, not ones that don't work. I WANT MY DISNEY + BACK NOW!
This thing is absolute trash. I literally want to give this thing money in order to buy stuff, but the store will not allow it. I have never reviewed anything of any kind, ever. This stupid store has angered me so much that it has prompted me to give anything its first online review from me. I cannot do anything, I try to update a game in order to play with friends, one of us is GUARANTEED to not get the new version and is subsequently unable to play. I try to download a game? NOPE, cannot process request. Do you really want me to continue using your store? FIX YOUR CRAP. This is getting embarrassing.
My original review contained numerous expletives, which in turn would not allow my review to be published. But I guess you want to hide and not allow others to completely thrash your product, so you won't allow me to rant at my peak performance, you cowards. Your app is garbage. Fix your STORE (you know, the place that I try to buy things from) or I will quite literally take my business elsewhere. I *was* a new customer, and you can guarantee I won't come back.

Purchased a one-time license for Visual Studio from this site a few months ago. Thought I downloaded/installed it, but apparently I had the trial version (ok, my fault -- fair enough). After the trial expired, the software asked to connect to my Microsoft account to confirm I had a license -- that's where the fun began.
I connected to my account, but Visual Studio was unable to find a license. I checked my email history for a receipt. The receipt had a "Download Now" link, so I clicked it -- but there was no record of the purchase, so it wouldn't provide a link. Sigh...
Filled out an online form describing the problem. The form asked for order details, etc. which I provided. Clicked "submit" and received an error that the "page was not found". Huh?
Called the support number. After navigating through their phone menu, which (for reasons unknown) asks you to enter a 3-digit code that it gives you verbally, among other information. Once I got to a human being, I was transferred FOUR times to different people "who would be able to help me". And of course, I had to repeat the problem to all four of them, and also my account number, order number, etc.
THEN I was transferred a FIFTH time to "commercial support". WARNING: if they transfer you to "commercial support" it means they're about to hang up on you. That's what happened to me. Twice. I'm asking for a refund.
FIRST OF ALL THEIR STORE TAKE SO LONG TO LOAD EVERY DAY OF MY FREAKING DAY OF MU LIFE AND THEY SHOW HOW NOT TO RUN A STORE AND THATS WHY NINTENDO AND SONY ARE BETTER THAN THE RUBBISH THATS MICROSOFT STORE FIX IT!

I bought an ASUS Zenbook and shortly after 30 days the screen developed a defect. Seven months later, the Zenbook has been returned for repair under warranty TWO times and it still has not been fixed. After pressuring ASUS for a refund, they only offered to trade me a "used" Zenbook. Not what I expected after spending good money on a new unit. "Shopping at Microsoftstore is like buying a 1980 online store. I want to purchase 2 Surface Pro 3 bundle. But, I can only buy one at a time and you can't increase the quantity. When I tried to use my credit card to pay for my order it failed. So, I used my Paypal account to make the purchase, it didn't give me an option to log into my Paypal account to change my payment method to credit card. It just charged to my Paypal account and took the money off my checking account. So, I called and try to cancel my orders. I was told I have to wait 4-6 hours before I can cancel my order. So, I called back 6 hours later then I was told I have to they need to wait until the tracking number before I can stop the shipping of the packages and now I have to wait for 24-48 hours and call back again to get my refund. Once again, I called back 48 hours later and I see they deducted $3510 off my checking account at the point. Now, I was told there is nothing they can do to get my refund except wait for the escalation team to get back with me. This is could take up to 7 business days before I can hear back from them and the floor manager told me "don't worry about it we will refund your money". Are you kidding me! Don't worry about it?"
Its good sooo far but if they could make better than apple then i will certainly buy more of your products. Its already 2016, still, a lot of bugs still exist in your systems and products.
I brought my one year old laptop to the Microsoft Store because it was not turning on. The tech associate told me the problem and said they would replace my laptop and it would take 3 - 5 days, and I would receive a phone call updating me on the status of the order. After 5 days and not hearing anything, I called them and they said they were waiting for an approval for a piece of the computer. A week later I called and they were waiting for the same approval. Finally a week after that I called and they said to come in and pick a new computer because they no longer sold my computer... it took them 3 weeks to realize they no longer sold the computer. I came in and they had nothing similar to my laptop, so they said they would order it from the business support department. Another week goes by, I call them, and they don't even know about my issue! They then said they would look into it and call me in a week... it has been a month now, they still have my laptop, and there is no sign of me getting a new laptop.
I have never encountered support service this terrible in my life. I purchased the 2 year Microsoft Store warranty and I have received zero support.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Absolute dog store. The first time using it today to install sea of thieves, and I was met with a DUCKING wall of terror. Absolute trash, dog trash.
Third-party companies are ruin ruining the reputation of Microsoft and other major companies particularly with drivers which you need to keep your computer up to date they are allowing these third-party companies to access your information your data and generally these apps and drivers are not credible. There are technicians that ask you to get into your computer and then they offer you high rate prices to fix things in the name of Samsung Microsoft and other companies these big companies need to track these sites shut them down and direct people to their website to download information and get drivers these third-party companies are nonsense they need to be stopped and we should not be paying for drivers that should be available on the site you bought your device from. I am well-versed on the internet but there are many people that are not and these big companies like Microsoft are destroying computers by allowing third-party companies to invade computers phones that were purchased from Microsoft Samsung I could go on and on enough fix it
I ordered a laptop at microsoftstore.com. A few minutes after I ordered, I realized that the laptop did not have a DVD player, so I tried to cancel the order. Unfortunately, unlike amazon.com and walmart.com, there is no way to cancel the order online so I had to call. Minor nuisance... or so I thought. I called and it was clear that I was redirected to someone in the Philippines. I was told that the order was not progressed far enough in the system and had to wait a couple of hours until they could cancel the order. I waited a couple of hours and called back--the lady told me the same thing but assured me that she would take care of it and call me back when she had cancelled the order. I never heard from her, so a couple of hours later, I called back (for a third time!). This time, I was told that it was TOO LATE to cancel the order and that I would have to take delivery and return it! Microsoft, the world's largest software developer can't even develop a system that allows for orders to be cancelled! I'm never ordering from them again.
Mojang FORCED me to transfer my game to my Microsoft account but neglected to actually transfer the fact that I HAVE BOUGHT THIS GAME! They are REQUIRING me to re-purchase the game again. I will never use the Microsoft store to purchase Minecraft, since I already own it. They can eat dirt.

I have been going back and forth with Microsoft products and apple products with the pc. I will continue to have an apple product for certain things and Microsoft for some.
I purchased a app from the Microsoft store that I was able to download and use the first day. When I tried to use it over a week later I couldn't. I tried to troubleshoot, I even attempted to uninstall and reinstall, all this was to no avail. I asked for a refund and did not get it. I was finally able to uninstall and reinstall today 16 days after purchase and I am being prompted to repay for the same app I purchased, When calling MS I was on hold with rep 15 minuets to be told I was at the wrong department she then transferred me without assistance where I sat on hold almost 20 minuets, I am very disappointed.

Microsoft Store is certainly handy but I've found a lot of their items available elsewhere at lower prices. I use them primarily to download apps, etc.
I have been using various Microsoft services for both personal and professional purposes, and overall, I must say that Microsoft has impressed me with their range of offerings.
Purchased a DELL laptop in Feb 2016. Had cooling fan problems in December 2016, noisy and overheats. NO SERVICE HERE - call Dell. Dell says registration is not correct, will look into it - back and forth - no RMA, no service, no useable laptop.
NEVER AGAIN - price was good but if you need it serviced good luck with that!
I ordered the 1st day of Christmas sale computer the HP 13x360. Got an email saying my order will be processed within 4-6hours. The next day I didn't get any other notification so I decided to call microsoft customer service.
Gave them a call and the sales rep told me that my order was being held up by my credit card people.
I called my credit card people and they said that there was a pending transaction from microsoft but that they hadn't furnished the proper paper work to release the money and that there was no problem from their side they were just waiting for microsoft to send the correct info.
Gave microsoft another call, only to find out that they are as clueless as the first time I spoke to them. I made 4 calls for at least 30-60 minutes. In fact I had time to take a shower while waiting. No one is on first and they don't know what's going on with their system.
The last rep told me I would have to wait another 24 hours to see if my order has been finalized if the sale hadn't been for one day only I would have cancelled the order. What a totally incompetent system and way to do business one of the biggest computer companies out there and they can't process a simple transaction. What's that say about there product and no wonder Apple is eating there lunch and laughing all the way to the bank

I was running windows 8 and then last week upgraded to windows 10 I was amazed with the new OS. The system is also faster and has many feautures to play with. Long live this company!
Be aware if you purchase on the Microsoft store on the new Xbox and the game doesn't install you will be ignored by Microsoft and refused reimbursement
This site can hold orders for many hours before releasing the product (4+ hours so far) Even calling in to customer service is useless.
