The rep who sold me the Surface lied to me and the company refuses to honor the $100 post-sale credit they promised. Even though it was written and saved in the chat log. Two follow-up chat conversations and a very long phone call to sales support and each time was told "we can't do anything, but we've put a note in for the chat rep and they will contact you tomorrow to fix this". All BS. No one ever follows up. Asking for a manager gets you hung up on. Which means another 30 minutes on hold or waiting for a chat rep to respond. I will never buy another Microsoft device again.
I think they're def on their way back up to the top. The service is a day and night difference then before.
They have good products, but the also had a software issue. I like the customer service and over all it's ok

If you take your device to Microsoft store for tech support, ask many, many questions before you take it back. Also turn it on & make them show you that they have actually taken care of the problem. Do not leave without making sure that they have done what they said they would do, and that you can actually access your account & device.
I let my Surface on Friday, and picked it up today at Tyson's Corner. The tech proudly told me how the device was now reset & refreshed. He also stated that it should not need updates for a few days. Unfortunately, they had not actually made sure that it was current on updates. Even worse, he did not disable the PIN that they had set on it for their use while working on it. Later in the afternoon when I needed my Surface, I could not sign in without the PIN. In addition, the device needed 35 immediate updates, and the battery was at 25%. That is how my Surface was returned to me after two days with the Microsoft store tech support. I called the store while the device was updating, and the tech who answered assured me that I would have no problem re activating my password in the "sign in options" of the log in page. Meantime, the updates used all the battery life, and I was left w/o access to the device until I was able to recharge it again hours later. Of course, the tech was wrong, and I have been unable to log in to my Surface. It won't allow me to change the log in options. By now, the store is closed since it is Sunday. So I called Microsoft. That was another exercise in futility & added to my frustration. I found the automated phone system to be circular & unsophisticated. After 20+ minutes (and four calls) trying to get it to understand my name and move me to a tech, I selected billing option. After ten minutes on hold, I wasted 35 minutes talking with a billing representative, Mel, who could not help & refused to let me speak to a manager. He simply apologized for the fact that phone tech support is already closed, and he suggested that I call them tomorrow during business hours. Instead of a manager, he offered to give me a website to log my complaint.
Part of my package content was stolen during the delivery. Microsoft doesn't offer any kind of protection. Amazon is my new source

When i click install or update it takes sooo much time to update the button then it comes to downloading speed i would give -10/10 it sucks so i have tried everything delivery optimization and more nothing works i even put Microsoft dns in my lan network my lan network has over 50mbps speed improve Microsoft store asap it works poorly and i cant install Minecraft launcher for some reason idk why it happens when i install from Minecraft.net/download it says unable to install 0xUnkownAppInstall and when i try to install from xbox/Microsoft store it says something happend on our end or when i simultaneously click install nothing i mean NOTHING happens fix this now

In a world were identity theft runs rampant and everyone is told to keep and hold tight to any usernames and passwords you have because you don't want them to fall in the wrong hands. MICROSOFT requires you to know the username and password to anyone to whom you would like to make a purchase for? It is 2am and I have been chasing VC that was purchased 2 hours ago. Every store I have EVER purchased VC/digital games from sends a code via email within 15 mins. Then the purchaser can redeem or gift someone to redeem on microsoft's gaming platforms. I googled my purchase and decided microsoft was the safest online purchase. I WAS DEAD wrong! I clicked on the link to purchase but was REQUIRED to sign in to my microsoft account to purchase. NOT 1 time during this transaction from your store was I informed my purchase is ONLY transferrable to devices associated with this microsoft account. NOT 1 time was an option given to alert the consumer that if this purchase IS NOT for them - LOG out! How many unspent dollars from 80 year old grandparents get lost in your bank account because your process to purchase/refund is excruciating? I will never purchase a microsft product from microsoft again. They won't even claim their company on consumer sites.
