I love this company! I have been ordering clothes and shoes from them for years and have always had a good experience. The packages always ship fast and I get so many compliments on my clothes. They are a little pricey but have good sales. Plus, their clothes live up to expectation and are usually worth the price. Another good thing is thier customer service. I never dread having to call them with returns or questions because I always have a good experience. The people are genuinely nice a very helpful. They even let me return something that was final sale because it didn't fit and I was a loyal customer.
Modcloth has been and will be my go to online store! I love them!

If I could give a negative star I would! I had ordered a few dresses from ModCloth in hopes of wearing one to an upcoming Awards Ceremony. I just got a notice that due to restructuring of their shipping facility that they will not be able to ship my order in time. There was no notice of this at the time of my order and it should have arrive by now if normal. Ladies be very careful of ordering from ModCloth and they just lost a customer!

I've been a ModCloth customer for many years now and am a really big fan of the website. I find they have excellent customer service, such as when I received a dress with some damage to the fabric and had my purchase instantly refunded. It is easy to get answers from customer service on clothing brands and sizes, and I have not been disappointed in the quality of the clothing.
I tend to only buy from them on sale since full price can sometimes be a bit high, but the sales I have got in the past have been phenomenal. ModCloth is a great way to discover new brands, and I especially like that many of the brands they carry are manufactured in the USA. Returns can sometimes take a little while to be processed, but I am happy enough with the website that it doesn't affect my overall rating.

I love mod cloth for thier exclusive pieces and smart eye for fashion. The prices are already great and now they having a 20% off summer sale - love it! They have free shipping on orders over $50 and free returns and exchanges. This site is awesome!

I was so extremely disappointed with my order. My sweater had a hole in it and I went to hang a collared shirt and the button popped off. I should have listened to similar reviews about the clothing being cheap and not worth the money. Never will buy from this site again.

I used to buy from this site almost weekly. I was devastated when I found out Walmart was buying this company. I have only bought one dress since they took over and the quality was awful it appeared very cheaply made. The whole style of the website has changed, they used to have beautiful quality clothing. Now everything is cheap, ugly, and overpriced. So sad to say goodbye to the ModCloth I loved.

Hi Heather! So sorry for any disappointment. We always appreciate your honest and thoughtful feedback, so please know that I shared your review with our team. When it comes to quality of our products, we always want our styles to last you season to season. If you have any details on the item (ie name), I can pass that info along to our team right away. Until then, please keep the feedback coming!
As a previous reviewer mentioned, this website has an array of unique items that are hard to find elsewhere; however, the products do not warrant the frustration of customer service and logistics. Deliveries are not timely and customer service merely pays lip service when dissatisfaction is expressed. It's really not worth it to buy from this site.

I often shop for clothing online and get things delivered from American retailers. For some reason every time I order from ModCloth the duties and taxes are very high, like $60 for a $120 order, shipped from US to Canada. I wish they were able to provide a better option, maybe have a Canadian distributor. The extra cost makes it so I will have to forego ordering from them again which is disappointing.

I've seen ads for Modcloth for a long time. They definitely have very unique and cute clothing. I ordered a wallet and a bathrobe, which I was really excited to get. I paid $8 for shipping and then waited almost two weeks to receive my package. The items that arrived were a laughably low quality. The bathrobe was a cheap material, which came with loose stitching in several areas. The wallet was also made of a cheap material, came with dirt spots that stained the inside of the wallet, and loose threading in multiple areas. Both of these items are the exact quality I would expect from Walmart, but unfortunately, cost me about four times more money than Walmart items would have. I will not be buying from Modcloth again and would not recommend it to anybody. There are better, much more high quality online and brick and mortar stores out there.

Hi there, Kelsey. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I sincerely apologize for any disappointment with your recent order. We always strive for high quality, and if we fall short of that, we want to make it right. Please rest assured that I have shared your feedback with our team. We'd be happy to assist in any way we can, if you'd like to reach out to our Customer Care team at modcloth.com/help.
I spent a week with a customer support rep telling me lies! Your company is only as good as the people who work there. Putting a smiley face at the end of every sentence does not equal good customer service. Don't bother.

I have several pieces from ModCloth - I love the quality and style of all their designs and ordering and payment was sleek and smooth. Unfortunately, my Bank here in Malaysia has experienced a lot of Credit Card fraud with this Company and they have now blocked all transactions with ModCloth. I now need to get special authority each time I wish to make a purchase. This has certainly taken the fun out of online shopping for me. However, I will still follow this Company and their lovely selection of styles and dresses. The dresses are totally worth the hassle - it's just not as easy as it was before.

I recently purchased five dresses from Modcloth in my usual size of XL because the items stated they were "True to Size". Although the items arrived quickly, not a single one fit! I could not get even one of them over my breasts! The same day, I also ordered seven dresses from a different company in my XL size and every single one fit perfectly, no problem. So what's up ModCloth? Your dresses are not made to fit women with breasts? It was a very disappointing experience to say the least.

Love this site. It's hard to find fair trade-made in USA clothing and ModCloth has a seperate section for all clothes made in USA. My items were reasonably priced, shipped very fast, and I have been very pleased with my cool and unique items. Have ordered from them a handful of times and plan on going back.

First off, everything on there site is pretty much out of stock. This is really annoying.
Second I placed my order on 8/5 and I have not received my items yet, or any shipping updates. I go to their help section of their site and I see a notice they are delayed DAYS in shipping because they are changing their system. Um thanks for the notice... and they said a 6 day delay, it's day 7 and they still have not processed my order. I will NOT be ordering from them again.

I purchased a Navy Blue maxi dress for my daughters wedding in July.
I went to alter the length of the dress and it was 2 inches shorter on one side. It's like they slapped the bottom of the dress together without measuring and called it good. It's too late to return for me.
Be aware of what you are buying online!
This place is not good if you want a good dress the same length!

Hi there, Jane. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience! This is definitely something we'll want to report to our product team, as it sounds like there may have been a manufacturer issue. Please know that we will share this feedback, and we will work to avoid instances like this in the future. If you have any other questions or concerns, our Customer Care team is always happy to assist, at modcloth.com/help.
I used to love shopping at Modcloth, the customer service department was so giving and helpful. I ordered so much from them because of this. Now since they changed their policy, i don't like them anymore. I do order from them every once in a while, but not as often as I did in the past. They used to offer free returns was one of the features that I miss. If i forgot an item in the past on my order, they used to send the item free of charge. These days? No way. So many little things they stopped doing that made a difference.

I returned an item that did not fit. I did not get a cash refund (read the very fine print). They promised a gift certificate which was not received. There seems to be no way to contact them directly to fix this. I would say I am dealing with a company that has a lack of transparency. Not cool.

Hi, Mary. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience regarding your return. I do see that you were able to reach out to our Customer Care team, who sent your gift card information on 7/30/18. I hope you received that info. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team at modcloth.com/help. For security purposes, we would recommend removing the portion of your review that includes your order number, as we wouldn't want your personal order information to be posted publicly. Please let us know if we can do anything else to assist.
I was wondering why my order wasn't shipping, googled "ModCloth shipping taking forever" and landed here. Looks like I'm in good company. Good luck, friends!
Bless the poor woman whose job it is to respond to all of these reviews. I know it's not her fault. But ModCloth, c'mon. This isn't your first rodeo. Blaming this shipping debacle on the (annual and predictably busy) holiday season is pretty ridiculous at this point. Just admit "we f@#*&ed up" and get better.

Hi, Betty. Thank you for reaching out. I apologize for any inconvenience with that shipping delay. We did receive a larger-than-normal influx of orders during the holiday season. Please rest assured that we are taking steps to prevent delays like these in the future!
Not only are the clothes subpar but the company policies are archaic. I had to beg and plead for my refund on a very poorly made dress. They rest their laurels on being "independent" and "unique," which translates to an excuse for selling poor quality goods with little chance to return items upon your realization that you can get far better service and merchandise from any other vendor on the planet.

I really can't believe how disappointing Modcloth has been over the past couple of years. I used to buy my dresses almost exclusively from this one website. I loved that they offered merchandise for a vast array of body types including me (I am very petite). I used to be able to buy beautiful fit and flare frocks as well as sexy date-night bodycon dresses. I was hard pressed to shop for just one item at a time. But now, I find it almost impossible to find even one dress worth buying. They've definitely upped the twee element but completely done away with the uniquely sexy charm these clothes used to have. We don't need all the clothes to be so damn cutesy and/or generic. I know my review isn't going to bring back the original merchandising team that allowed me to enjoy so many years of beautiful dressing but I felt like venting my sadness and now I have. I'm sorry you're no good anymore, Modcloth.

Thanks so much for your honest feedback, Aesthete, Hearing from our customers (especially our long-time ones) is super important to us in understanding how we can make ModCloth the best it can be. I won't be ordering from them again. Took them over a week and a half to ship my order and wouldn't let me cancel my order either when it was their fault my package wouldn't be arriving before I had to move back to school. Still don't know what I'm doing about that. Poor customer service with problem solving, like maybe change my address since you haven't even shipped it after almost 2 weeks? Nope no help.

They play a lot of games when you are just trying to get a return shipping label, ie. Emails without the label you requested attached. Your account will say problem resolved. Live chat with someone who has posted a picture that looks like a selfie taken in her bedroom and you get garbage like: "I have to get approval from my manager. I'll send it manually" You can't generate a returning shipping label without manager approval for an item I received less than a week ago? We can chat online but you have to send a shipping label manually? What does that even mean?
And yes believe the other negative reviews. The sizing is off and the stuff is incredibly, offensively cheap!

I love "window-shopping" on modcloth because of their simple, vintage-inspired designs. I would never buy anything from there, though. I would venture to say that 90% of their jewelry items are resourced wholesale from China for less than $1/piece, which they turn around and resell for $15-20 for quite a nice profit. You can find Chinese sellers on etsy selling the same pieces for $5 or less. Look for "antique octopus necklace" on etsy and it's the same thing as their "cephalopod necklace" ($14.99). The rest of their site is much the same, it looks as if they choose products that belong to a certain design aesthetic and then mark them up by 500%. I would only go to this site for casual browsing and order the products I really want elsewhere.

I have been waiting for my order and thought I'd check the tracking. Couldn't find it. Couldn't find my order whether I was logged in or not by the order number. Started a chat (took forever to get a response. That's ok, they're busy, I guess) he finally found my order but it had not even begun to ship yet. Was hoping to wear the bell-bottom jeans to my upcoming high school reunion but that doesn't look like it will happen. The guy says it is shipping today so we shall see. I hope the item actually gets here and isn't junk like so many here have said. I'll check back in later to tell you how it turns out.

Hi, Willie. I apologize for the wait with your previous order! I do hope that you received the package, and in plenty of time for your event. Packages typically only take a couple of business days to leave our facility, but during heavy sale or promo periods, that can take a bit longer. Please rest assured that I have shared your feedback with the appropriate team. If there is anything we can do to assist with anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out to Customer Care at modcloth.com/help.
I'm addicted to Modcloth. Browsing their catalog just makes me feel so calm and happy. I feel like there's something for everyone there--some of the things they stock are SO CUTE and you can't really find them anywhere else. The downside is that they're pricey, especially for the sometimes iffy quality of their clothes, so I don't usually buy anything unless it's on sale. Also the colors in their photos aren't always accurate. But the site is perfectly designed to get you hooked! If I really want to treat myself, this is where I go to shop!
