This shop has lovely things and the shipping is really fast, the only problem is that, at least to my country, they offer just one shipping option which is UPS and I prefer USPS as private couriers are usually extra charged at customs here in Argentina. But if you live somewhere else maybe you won't have this problem.

I tried to buy two pairs of shoes, and my card wouldn't work, so I called the company and they told me that were trying to make me pay monthly. So I called Modcloth back and they said they couldn't do anything about it. So they were going to charge me every month, for items I already paid for.

Bizarre- total garbage, horrible fabric, packaged in store bought ziplock bags and mailed from Rosendale- a small town across the river. Cancelled part of the undelivered order after waiting two months. Looked NOTHING like the ad photographs. Feel ROBBED.

I read a lot of reviews and mostly were horrible and I still ordered 3dresses and 2pair of shoes. Glad I did. Love the way dress fit and shoes were surprisingly very comfortable. I got my delivery within 5 days.

Mod Cloth steals your money! Be careful, they WILL NOT refund you your money. Mod Cloth does not disclose the fact that will not refund you the money. The clothes are cheap, don't fit and expensive - it's mostly polyester cloth - for the price you would think it could atleast be cotton - but that's besides the fact. It's been over a year and I still can't find something I want to order but they will not refund my money! Nor do you tell you that you WILL NOT get a refund. Why don't they disclose that?

I purchased a wallet from modcloth online and paid extra for shipping to receive it prior to an event I was attending.
I paid extra shipping and its been over TWO weeks and I still haven't received it.
So I no longer have a use for it and dont even have it, I had my husband call to request a refund since we arent getting what we paid for and its been sitting in a different state for weeks.
They refuse to issue a refund! Saying we have to send it back. Wtf, we never received it? Even the tracking number has said its in Washington for OVER 2 weeks. I dont live in washington, so. They sent us a "return shipping label" To put on a invisible item I guess. They didnt attach it in the email though.
I shopped with them before walmart bought them, they used to rock. Ill never purchase from them again. Buyer beware!

Yet again inflated prices for double digit sizes and sub-par quality. I will say that the styles and options at Mod put them above other plus size online retainers

Horrible! Paid for 2 day shipping its been 9. No refund. You all are a bunch of f@#$&*! Bogus hipsters. I hope to see you fail miserably. Lost my business for sure.

I want to start this review by saying I've never had a problem with any ModCloth products once they have arrived- however, that's were the good news ends. I've been shopping with ModCloth for years now and every year the shipping gets worse. It never delivers on time so if you ever need an item for an exact day I'd add at least a day or two to the estimated delivery (once it actually gets out of processing hell that is). This time they didn't even bother to bring my package to the office or my apartment. I'm lucky that I have kind neighbors that took the time to come find me otherwise after 9 days I still would be wondering what in the world was going on and fighting with customer service. I know that a lot of this has to do with the carrier provider selected for deliveries but this is truly disappointing from how things were run 5 years ago. Still plan to continue shopping here but I do hope that something is done about the shipping process eventually.

Otherwise the products are still cute and unique and overall fairly good quality with a few outliers.

When did modcloth go completely crazy on their prices?!?! They have become completely unaffordable. There used to be so many affordable prices. Now almost every dress I look at is over $100

Really good clothes. Love the quality. I recently bought a red one piece bathing suit that fits perfectly. It took a bit more time than expected to receive. Still really happy!

Spoke to Jamie today on the phone regarding a swim suit return - had moved over the holidays and it got stuck in my "summer" box that I just opened today- of course it's too small and she won't allow me to mail it back brand new EVEN for a store credit- DO NOT SHOP HERE. There are MANY other retailers who are understating that life gets in the way and that a 30 day return policy is there for a reason- but PLEASE policy can be modified to keep your customers loyal - will NOT be returning business here.

TERRIBLE customer service! Ordered $400 worth of items for delivery to Texas only to check my order about 11 working days after dispatch and see its status changed to returned with absolutely no notification from them! Tried online chats, emails, etc to get a refund and they keep telling me I have to call them to get a refund as I have to pass security screening! COMPLETELY unhelpful and I will not be shopping there again once I manage to pry my hard earned money out of their grubby paws!

I have purchased MANY items from Modcloth - most are quite overpriced, so I shop there almost exclusively during sales. Or sometimes I'm willing to pay the higher prices depending on the uniqueness of the clothing, since they do have a lot of items with really fun patterns and styles. For the most part, each time I have had an issue with them, everything has been resolved very quickly. However, I am a little disappointed in the quality at times. Also, more recently, I had a return for about 150$ worth of merch in my car which was stolen when my car was broken into. I reached out to Modcloth shortly after the memorial day sale I missed, hoping for a coupon promo code or something so I could place another order, and explained the situation of how my return package was stolen. I figured I had nothing to lose by asking, and while I didn't necessarily expect them to just hand over a coupon, I've been a customer for about a decade... they could have at least replied. I found this quite rude to just ignore me after I have bought so much from them, and it's definitely making me think twice about ordering again.

ModCloth has such cute pieces, its such a shame I probably will never be shopping with them again. They have a strict return policy (no returns after 30 days) so as soon as I got my item and was unhappy with the fit, I shipped it to be returned. The return label I used took almost a week to get to them. When it was finally delivered to their facility I never received (still haven't) an email saying they were processing my return nor did I get my refund. It's been a week since it was delivered to their facility and I still have yet to receive anything. I contacted customer service trying to get the status of my return but they say it takes an additional 5-7 business days to JUST process. I told the customer service rep that was absolutely ridiculous especially when they have such a strict return policy they expect customers to abide by.In the future, IF I do end up shopping from them again and am unhappy with my purchase I will be better off reselling it on my own. I'm just glad I didn't splurge on the website and am only out about $100.

I used to love modcloth, and gave away multiple gift cards on my blog… then I actually ordered from them and was disappointed. The clothes are of cheap quality considering most were over $50-80 dollars each. CANADIAN BUYERS, you will be charged an arm and a leg for shipping. All in all my shipping costs turned out to be almost half of what I paid in clothing costs… I order from international buyers frequently, and have never been charged that much in shipping/duty costs. The UPS guy was even so confused at shipping charges that he assumed they accidentally put an extra 100 dollars on it and called to be sure. He couldn't get through so I had to pay the charges and then call for days to try to get an answer (which basically was them blaming the postal service lol). I've ordered from MANY US stores that offer flat rate shipping to Canadians without HUNDREDS of dollars in import fees. I will not be ordering from Modcloth again until they get their international shipping up to par.

I live in Canada and have ordered from ModCloth a few times in the past (just 1 or 2 items per order) and this time thought I'd just do one big order to save on shipping costs, but I think I ended up paying more in total. When the payment actually went through on paypal I was charged $20 more than expected because of the currency exchange rate. This is not advertised blatantly at all on their website. Then I finally received the package today after 3 weeks and I have to pay another $30 in customs fees. Ridiculous. That's $50 extra. Including shipping costs $70. And to return everything I would not be refunded for the $20 and I would have to pay for return shipping, likely another $20, so it's not even worth it to return. I emailed them 8 days ago to complain and still haven't received a response.

EDIT: I just chatted with a ModCloth representative and they are willing to refund the shipping costs. I am a lot more satisfied with their customer service and I am bringing up the rating to 4 stars. It is important to be aware of shipping costs and customs costs for next time.

I have been ordering from modcloth for over a year now and have been extremely pleased with both the online store, and thier customer service. While of course certain items haven't worked out for me, returns have been very smooth and easy, making this retailer even more enjoyable to do business with. Many times they have even included free gifts with my purchases (earrings, headbands, small accessories) that I've been surprised and delighted with. I have heard complaints about this store frequently stocking cheap materials or garments that have fallen apart easily. While I know this to be true for many items (even for items that I have purchased) it has only been a problem for me when I haven't been diligent about following the care instructions. I think it is also a part of the style to employ materials that feel worn-in, sheer/thin, or vintage. Perhaps the style of this retailer may not be yours, but either way they have a very straightforward and easy to navigate online store, and are one of my favorite clothiers.

I'm 5,05ft high so i'm very little but for the rest I have a normal body. I asked myself many times who can wear most of the dresses? They are even too short for me:(

Shippingcosts are normal, but high if you want a trackingnumber (I bought 3 dresses and for a shipping with tracking number I had to pa 14 Dollar extra instead of 16 dollar, according to me, it's way to expensive!

Some items are way to expensive, I usually save them untill they are in sale

LOVE their swimwear! And the customer service is excellent! I ordered 2 swimsuits and they arrived right on time. The colors are dazzling and the cut is flattering. However, they were too large.

I still wanted the suits, but they only had 1 of them in a smaller size. The return/ exchange process was very smooth. It had options for each item, allowing me to get a store credit +$5 for one and exchange for the other. After that, though, the suit that was unavailable was restocked. So I chatted with them and got my store credit changed to a refund so that I could order the last of my size before someone else did.

THEN I saw that there was a 20% sale happening. Although I had already placed an exchange request, I chatted with someone and she changed my exchange to a refund so that I could order the right size at the new lower price!

Even for someone as picky as I am, they were great and exceeded all reasonable expectations. Fast responses, high quality swimwear, and very easy returns/ exchanges. Love it! I'll definitely be ordering from them again!

Mediocre quality items and mediocre price point with a HORRIBLE and UNCLEAR return policy (especially on shoes). Never again will I order through here and if you care about quality from a company who stands behind their products, then keep looking.

Tip for consumers:
Return shoes in their original box. DO NOT tape anything on the original shoe box and then place this box inside another box or wrap in brown paper in order to return. This is NOT clear on their return policy and you will not be given credit for your return NOR will they inform you it was not accepted or for what reason until you follow up with them. They charge a $5 return fee unless returned for store credit then they add a $5 credit. WHY they would do this? Cuz everyone wants their money back

Their return policy is AWFUL!. It took 10 days to get the product. AND THEN with their " free return shipping" it takes ANOTHER 14 days to get back to them. OH! And there is no mail on sundays. So if you can do the math, that is a total of 26 days in transport. So their " 30 day return policy" is a truly a 4 day return policy. And their customer service department does NOTHING to help with this except keep restating a policy that is clearly written incorrectly. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!
