My mother purchased a dress with several seamstress flaws. There are rips in the lace, the sewn edges of the sleeves ain't match up, the pleats are not even and do not all lay the same, the seams are pulled too tight, and the hem is uneven and coming undone and fraying on the bottom. After going back and forth with "management" they want me to pay return shipping to Hong Kong although they admitted that the "seamstress pulled the fabric too tight when sewing the fabric." Then, I was told when I shipped the dress, I had to lie on the customs form and put the value of the dress at $40. The dress was over a hundred dollars. When I questioned this practice, they said it would help me expedite the shipping process to help me. They refuse to pay return shipping although they are at fault. After a week of back and forth, they offered me a 35% refund or a $40 store credit. This is not acceptable since the issues were flaws with the dress. This is just plain fraud. If she would have purchased a "discount" dress knowing it would be flawed, I guess it would have been different. I am guessing the reviews on their site are possibly fake as well. Very sad experience. I am giving up with them and will hopefully have more luck with the bank than I did with them. Very sad situation. They are taking advantage of people. Buyer Beware…just know that you are possibly purchasing a dress that was rejected by a legitimate brand, or one that was sewn quickly to sell to unsuspecting customers. I am including photos but it is hard to photograph some of the issues due to the lace and fabric type.
Tip for consumers:
Even when company is at fault, you will NOT get a refund unless you pay to mail your dress to Hong Kong!
