Monoprice's reputation reflects a significant divide in customer experiences. On one hand, many customers appreciate the affordability and quality of products, especially for budget-friendly items. However, a troubling trend emerges regarding customer service, with numerous complaints about delayed shipping, unresponsive support, and inadequate handling of warranty claims. Customers frequently express frustration over unresolved issues and poor communication, leading to a perception of declining reliability. While some individuals report satisfactory resolutions to their concerns, the overall sentiment suggests that Monoprice needs to enhance its customer service strategies to restore trust and satisfaction among its user base.

Over and over again, my Monoprice cables fail after just a few months. They claim to have a lifetime warranty, but they don't honor it. They just ignore customer emails so you can never get anything replaced. So far I had 3 iPhone Lightning charging cables fail in under 6 months and they replaced none of them. Most recently I had an HDMI cable fail after just 4 months and they blew me off there too. Monoprice are FRAUDSTERS. I won't buy any of their products ever again.
I've bought several speaker sets, as well as mounts and cables from Monoprice over the years. Never again. My order has sat around for 2 days without shipping out even though I had to pay for shipping. If I ordered off Amazon I would've gotten my package no later than today with free shipping, yet Monoprice hasn't even shipped my order yet. I even posted on their Facebook profile and emailed them twice. They posted on Facebook after I made my comment on their profile page, but CHOSE to ignore me. The first email I sent was ignored. Monoprice has definitely gone downhill recently. It's now risky to order from them.
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I have never had issues with Monoprice so I felt confident in buying 2 large 15 inch powered subwoofers. After about two weeks of use both of them stopped working. They wouldn't ship new ones until I shipped the old ones back and I no long had the boxes they came in so I had to spend 60 bucks buying boxes because they wouldn't trust that I would ship the old ones back, what would I do with non working woofers? So, I get the old ones shipped back and 5 months later I finally had my woofers. Great! I get them out of the box and they were damaged and not just a little bit, I emailed the company and nothing. They won't get back to me anymore and in looking these woofers it seems they sent me used woofers and the faceplates were broken off of both of them. I have emailed several times and called and I just get the run around and they won't send me new woofers now that I kept the boxes this time. I blew crazy money for something that I can't use now. I have never had issues with Monoprice before which is why this is so disappointing for me. I lost a brand that I trusted and they don't care.
Ive Been a customer for over 15 years. Their product quality & warranty is just spectacular, Hands down! Buy with great confidence and make an account (free) to track your lifetime orders and warranties. No need to keep receipts!
I placed a replacement order back in August of 2023 for a BT-205 headset. They sent me the replacement order. However, right off the bat, I had problems with the product. I would charge the headset, then 3 hours later after use. It would tell me I needed to charge it again. This continued for a months. Now, it's December of 2023 and the problem has continued and gotten worst. It's now telling me after 1.5 hours that the headset needs to be charged. I said ok, let me call Monoprice to see if they will send me a replacement since I'm having such issue. I called and the customer agent tells me that the replacement only covers from the original date of purchase. It does not cover from when you got the replacement. Say what now? I've never heard anything so ludicrous in my life. Then she offers me 10% towards another headset but does not give me the coupon code nor did she email it to me. Go figure!
Update: this amp has a huge design flaw in which there is a ground loop hum issue that I couldn't remove, I have tried a 1500 watt isolation transformer, 3 different high quality power conditioners, 2 separate circuits, an Emotiva cmx2+ dc offset surge protector, Art balanced XLR devices that create a true unbalanced connection, bjc rca cables between my AVR and Amp, and messed around with unplugging everything including AC connections and HDMI Connections, swapped out the amp 3x with the mfg it just has a ground loop hum issue you have to live with as there is nothing else out there I can try to reduce the hum, which is why this amp receives only 1 star. It powers everything just fine but again, has a hum issue that won't go away.
Do you really need an amplifier for effect channels? Also, the 7 channel x 90 watt amp doesn't generate 90 watts into all channels per audioholics review
I have a proposition for your company. After reading your reviews it's a 50/50 chance you get the product or get it working. How about you send us the product and if it's in good shape we send you the money. After all that's what you ask of us...RIGHT!
Shipping label created 5 days ago and the order still hasn't $#*!ing shipped. Pathetic for 2023, will never use again
Bought a pair of Monoprice 18" speaker stands from Amazon. Didn't order from Monoprice because the last few times I did I was assaulted with numerous marketing spam emails. Unsubscribing didn't stop them.
Package delivered unopened and when I did I found parts missing from the sealed parts bag.
Apparently the person at the great Chinese speaker stand company sneezed when loading my parts bag.
Called Amazon and they were willing to pick up the heavy box, return it at no charge, and send another box. Seemed like a lot of work, time, and money wasted so I called Monoprice.
The CS agent said "we don't supply parts" so call Amazon.
So if Monoprice doesn't supply parts what good is their "lifetime warranty" on these speaker stands and their other products? Monoprice used to be an honorable business... not anymore.
They gave the wrong address to the shipper, so it's been a few weeks waiting for iPhone cables. They messaged back promptly and did ship things again and rectified the problem. Not a lot of initiative at first.
I purchased a subwoofer from Monoprice. When it was delivered, I plugged it in, turned it on, and nothing. It was broken. No fuse, no fuse holder. It will not work without a fuse. I e-mailed Monoprice, message was returned, cannot send. Called, phone rang for 15 minutes, no one answered. I also chatted. Monoprice refuses to send return label, or any return information. Monoprice will sell you a broken product, then force you to pay for it. I my book... THAT'S STEALING! Monoprice will steal from their customers.
I still have maybe a dozen ethernet patch cables in storage but I needed some 3m cables in black and blue so ordered from them. I JUST cancelled my order as a WEEK LATER it's still showing in progress with no ship date in sight as by customer services own calculations I would be lucky to get this by October. Of course Monoprice processed Paypal IMMEDIATELY and now (maybe 5 to 7 days) to get my refund ASSUMING customer service really did cancel the order and I don't have to go to Paypal and cancel directly. Next time just drive the 45 minutes to Microcenter.
I bought two new subwoofer cables which Monoprice describes as being CL2 rate (for in-wall installation) for a new construction. Code requires that cables placed in wall are at least CL2 rated so I went ahead and ordered them.
When I received them the packaging stated they are CL2 rated BUT there is nothing on the actual cable - so there's no way for me, or the inspector, to verify that they are actually CL2 rated. Now the inspector wants me to remove them and replace them with something that says they are CL2 rated.
A total waste of money buying Made in China crap from these junk sellers.
Company overall basically good but the communication with employees not that great. Asked technical support if something fits they said it did I ordered it and it did not. Now trying to return the speaker backboxes was a pain with the customer service. It would cost me more money to send it back so I threw it in the garbage. They have to make up for their miscommunication to me on the product not excuses. And customer service keeps asking me why doesn't it fit ask your employee he doesn't even know. They should be trained on their product...
I was ordered new monitor with promo code -30%.
He charged me, confirm my order.
After some time - cancel my order.

I will never buy here nothing.
Ordered several items on April 2 as I had a new computer coming and wanted backup cables and adapters etc. I had ordered from Monoprice before and was very satisfied. I was not in a great rush so I went for standard shipping. As it was almost time for delivery I checked the tracking. Won't bore you with the details (I have screenshot backups of all this horror saga) but the package basically had to go from Cincinnati to a suburb of Cleveland. While I have been waiting for the shipment FedEx has handled the package 15 times, which they documented. It has been in Belleville Michigan on two different occasions with an Ohio stop in between - Belleville is not exactly between Cincinnati and Cleveland. It has been languishing in Belleville since the 7th. On April 10th I called and was told to call back on the 12th if I had not received it. At that point, Monoprice would file a claim with FedEx and rush me a duplicate order. I did not receive the order so I called on the 12th. The customer rep said, "OH look it is moving again". When I ask for the new order number she gave me an RMA#. I checked the Monoprice site for the new order - not there but said the package would be delivered Thursday. Checked Thursday site said it would be delivered Friday. Checked Friday and the site said it would be delivered Saturday. Since then all it says is it is "on the way" - again. Called this AM on the 17th and the rep I spoke to acted like this was all new asking for my name, email, home address, etc. after I gave her the order number - I would have hoped that would have set off alarm bells. Supposedly they are going to duplicate the order and get it out - today - I have heard that before. Not sure who is worse at running a business Monoprice or FedEx. (I tried to call FedEx but all you get to talk to is AI.)
Update: Worked with Laura P to reach an agreeable solution to my original problem. It took over a month to get here, but I'm pleased with the outcome. I appreciate the effort.
Ordered some headphones from Monoprice. Took them eight days after I ordered (and they charged me) to inform me that the item was out of stock and that I'd be refunded in 2-5 business days. Form letter. That's it. Called CS and was told the same. Here's an idea, charge people when you ship the item like reputable retailers. If you're going to take my money for a period of time without providing the agreed upon goods, at least pay me interest.
I'd shared this review on other sites and was asked to email escalations at monoprice.com. I did so twice and didn't receive a response. It's been two weeks since the first email. Worst customer service ever. Don't ask me to contact you and ignore me.
You need to pay the return fee from your own pocket for misleading product that they sell. They didn't take any responsibility.
I bought some lighting and other items from these guys, including 100 ft of CAT5 for just $5. Most things that I've purchased have been probably under 20 bucks and they've all been good, so at least for inexpensive items you can't beat these guys. Sadly, people have a tendency to do reviews when they get mad about something and they've had a bad experience, so there are a lot of negative reviews here but they sell millions of products a year so keep that in mind
I had an absolutely terrible experience with Monoprice. I ordered a 1440p 144hz monitor from them, specifically the Monoprice 32in Zero-G Curved Monitor - WQHD, 144Hz, 5ms, FreeSync, HAS, VA. However, instead of receiving the monitor that I ordered, I was shipped a completely useless 400 feet wire that I had no use for.
Upon calling Monoprice's customer service, they promised to email me within 48 hours to resolve the issue. However, it has now been 48 hours and I have not received any email from them. This level of incompetence and disregard for customer service is simply unacceptable.
Not only did I not receive the product that I ordered, but I also had to waste my time contacting their customer service, only to receive no resolution or even an acknowledgement of the issue. Monoprice has shown a complete lack of professionalism and customer care, and I would strongly advise anyone against doing business with them.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy company to purchase electronics from, Monoprice is not the one. Save yourself the hassle and go with a more reputable company that values their customers and provides quality service.

Answer: Hahaha! In my case, they just dumped my package at a neighbor's. Unfortunately, that property is vacant so I did not receive my shipment until almost two weeks later after the neighbor came to check on the property and found it.
Answer: Try calling their phone support is amazing. Their live support works well too depending on what it is.
