“The layout is a little confusing, doesn't use conventional...”

The layout is a little confusing, doesn't use conventional buttons, so it was hard to get back to the home page. The "home" on the blog site brings you to blog site home. Should have a phrase "main home page" and link in left column, I would make it the first one, in the blog site.

Been with moonfruit for years. At some point in the last couple of weeks they deleted my site. Before deletion it was no2 on page 1 in Google search results, now its not even ranked on Google at all. Their email response (after more than 24 hours) stated that my subscription had expired. I had absolutely zero contact from them prior to this to inform me that renewal was due, and for the last 8 years they have taken payment automatically. Don't expect a speedy response from customer services even if they know your business depends on it (they only communicate by email or Twitter) It's been 3 days since I contacted them and my website is still down

This company deletes sites without any prior warning regardless of how much time has been put into the sites and how valuable they are.
Also, it recently began to force users to pay to keep their free sites, otherwise they will be deleted. This is an extremely scummy business move and it alienates a large proportion of their user base, making them unable to continue to use the service at all. Myself included.

Tip for consumers:
Unless you're prepared to pay, and you don't mind horrific customer support, don't bother.

Moonfruit used to offer free service if you kept their domain in your URL. Cool... the they started charging for service... OK, now when they demand we upgrade they have bots inIndia not responding, or sending automated responses mirroring their email. Sucks

Moonfruit has rapidly move from being reactive and useful to worthless, thanks to its complete failure to move with the times and create an editing system that does not rely o the now dead Adobe Flash. The "interim" fix to uninstall old Flash and then install from very dubious providers a new form of Flash (which according to Adobe is unsafe and insecure) is complex and dangerous. From being a fast-service company to a non-responsive, unhelpful offshore host under Yell (an equally unhelpful and rude company), Moonfruit is to be avoided at allcosts.

I used this self editing web design site to build my own personal website. The usability of the site is pretty good and its very simple and easy to design your own site and make changes after that. I would recommend this site to the average person if they are interested in building a site online. Oh and you do not need to know HTML/CSS code to use this.

Not a bad website on the whole. FREE - Do not upgrade there should be no need. I once built a website free, upgraded, then stopped because it wasn't going aswell as I would of wanted it to. They then deleted my free website and I lost everything I worked on.

Suposidly built free website that can not be accessed on the net. It appears i have to upgrade (pay) to even be able to communicate with there support team.
Have seen to many scams of similar type offers that I will not pay to have access to email or support. If U can't even e-mail A co. Then I would venture to guess U may already be dealing with a fraudulant entity. M. S.

Moonfruit seems very easy to navigate and has a wide variety of templates and designs. It is free with the option of paying for premium, and the overall layout of the website is very appealing and stylish. I like how easy it is to create a nice website without having it look unprofessional or sloppy. The first thing seen on the homepage is the option to click a free design and get started. I like that it is a versatile site used to create both typical websites and also blogs on an easy level.

Moonfruit will automatically take your annue fee from your bank but they will NOT automatically renew your domain. If you dont renew on-time you will lose your website and emails plus the emails settings. You will then have to pay a higher price to renew your domain and then waste time setting up the emails again.
The other problem with Moonfruit is NO telephone line to call. You will have to email them and await your reply. Not good if your website and email are down!

I transferred a domain to moonfruit / namesco, which was a bad decision because they did nothing to assist with the transfer once they had received payment. For three days, I was given the run around and tasks to do, so that my site would be visible. I sent the error messages received, on my end, to their support team in verbatum... asking for them to change the nameserver, but they never did. Finally, I goggled "how to change thr nameserver on moonfruit" and a tutorial came up. I only needed to press 1 button... 3 days, multiple emails... and I only needed to press 1 button, which no one in their customer care or IT department made me aware of. Also, once I asked for an update to ensure that I had changed the n ameserver correctly, I received a very generic response, but no apology for the 3 days of wasted time. Needless to say, I'm very unhappy with the lack of assistance and customer service. Do not use this company!

I used Moonfruit for a good amount of time. I have invested hours upon hours designing and preparing sites for my businesses. About a year ago, Chrome began notifying users that "flash protocol " would no longer be supported and they, for security reasons, would be disengaging it from their platform. Moonfruit began relaying this message to its customer base and offered a migratory solution. This solution was to be a flawless migration to a safe and operable format that should allow current customers to seamlessly continue their websites viewing and editing. However, as you might guess, the day of Chrome cessation, none of the sites that were properly prepared, worked. Moonfruit was fully aware that their customers were no longer able to edit their sites nor were their sites operating correctly from the end user point of view. Added to this, Moonfruit kept billing and charging it's customers for these inoperables. Their lack of business ethics and customer concern has gone bye bye at best as well as their unwillingness to cancel accounts when requested. These unwanted credit card charges as a result of Moonfruit leaving their accounts active though requested closed, are a hassle to reverse or dispute. Do Not use this company and if you did in the past, be sure to attempt to log on and find the cancellation process if you can. Otherwise, you're in for a long drawn out dispute. Also, keep copies of any "chat" requests of the same. Your credit card company can use these to support your dispute claim.

Nothing but problems from the word "go" - having problems now getting the release code to move my site to another provider... seeking a refund... very disappointed!

Been with them for years and recently googled our site to see where we listed on the page, not bad we were at the top, but then below this it said 'more results from moonfruit.com' so we clicked to see what was there - low and behold there was our 'hidden pages' which were not supposed to be visible on the net as we were working on them, all our research, notes, maps and photo's were there for anyone to see! Contacted moonfruit to be told " Submitted the SEO meta tags to google, SEO making your site visible in Google and other large search engines with the keywords.
I would recommend you to delete the page if you no longer need." UGH! We thought Hidden meant HIDDEN! What's the point of ticking the hidden from site box, when it still shows everything on the net. We've now removed all our work on these HIDDEN pages as it clearly isn't safe to work on site. We haven't found anywhere where moonfruit informs you of this! 'delete page if no longer needed' of course it's needed we were storing our research etc., on there whilst getting consents etc., to put it online. This clearly came as a major shock to our team and project. Consensus of the project is we will be leaving when subscription finishes - shame as we've been a customer for 8 years and not being very techi wanted something clear and easy to use! If the pages were hidden they shouldn't have been found by google? Really disappointed, angry and upset!

As far as saying its free it is somewhat true it is free to "play" around with BUT to actually get yourself up and out there is NOT free at all. NOT ONLY THIS but i have been keeping an eye on this place and i am wanting stock / inventory control. MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHSSSSS! They have been saying it will be out in a few weeks. A few weeks pass then they say it has been pushed back and it will be a few more weeks, this is happening every few weeks for prob over a year now. HOW DO THEY EXPECT PEOPLE TO SIGN UP OR STAY WHEN THEY CANT KEEP THEIR WORD horrible horrible, and shame on you, you would think they would hurry up considering when they pull their finger out they will be getting more people on their side when they start getting this feature up

This is a great concept. It gives you the tools to design your own site for free. This is great for people that are not computer programers to create their own unique site.
