Truly amazing journey from Marrakech, across the Atlas mountains to the Sahara. We received royal treatment from our guide /driver, Moulay Boustani and made a new friend for life. Our first two days spent sightseeing the historic monuments of Marrakech, eating great food and absorbing the exotic sights and sounds of Place Jamaa El Fna. Then, a drive through the breathtaking Atlas mountains (a photographer's dream) through Ouarzazate to Klaat M'gouna on the road of one thousand kasbahs! From here we made another tour of the mountains and enjoyed a warm welcome and a home-cooked meal with Moulay's family. The last leg included a camel ride through the dunes to a desert camp where we spent an enchanted evening fireside under the stars. It doesn't get much better than this for travellers looking for beautiful vistas and a real taste of Moroccan culture.
