The charged me an extra warranty that I did not ask for. Found out when my FSA denied the charges. I asked them specifically not to charge me anything but the cost and service for the day. The itemization of charges was not clear on this
Had a simple pair of reading glasses made, they were wrong, they said they would remake them. I was told about a week to get them, the following day they called and said they are in. No difference, more than likely they didn't do anything. Will never go back and will tell others to avoid this company.

On the website it states that MyEyeDoctor accepts all vision insurance. When my wife went for new glasses, the local branch refused to accept the Vision Insurance that she has through Norfolk Public Schools. She needed gasses so purchased a pair, paying over $700. With the insurance they should have been about half that amount.
Do not go here unless you wish to get ripped off.

Horrible experience here at the 800 Peachtree location in Atlanta, GA. The frontdesk staff, Dorothy, was extremely rude, condescending, and unhelpful. The google maps location is wrong, and she spent 10 minutes on the phone giving me confusing directions and when I finally showed up 15 minutes late due to this, she refused to have me seen because of their 10 minutes grace period.
No refund policy. Selection was HORRIBLE. No sizing took place. Spent over $300 on glasses that took two weeks to get (settling for frames I disliked because their selection was so small) and I can't read more than three words on a computer. The visual field is way too small. Even when I picked them up there was no one to check the adjustment. I was just on my own for the entire part of it except when it came time to pay/ring it up. I should have checked first but there is no refund policy.
Tip for consumers:
They didn't even have the eye glass cleaner or a nice glasses case.
Dr.nice, staff rude.sales person sneezed directly in my face, offered no apology, wrong glasses ordered, rude when I was attempting to order the correct ones, upon my leaving offered no assistance with opening the door for me,seeing hat I am disabled and in a wheelchair
I went to MyEyeDR. For my Annual Eye Exam through Humana which is No Charge to me. I told them when I arrived why I was there. They made a copy of my insurance card so they knew who to bill. I had the normal eye exam and I told the doctor I already had cataracts. Before leaving I was asked to sit down with their assistant. She went over the charges and stated I owed $39.00. I told her the eye exam is no charge through Eye Med Vision with Humana! She admitted she knew that but said I had pictures taken so I had to pay for that. I did not authorize pictures! I paid the $39.00 and my receipt shows $0.00 owed. Yesterday I was sent a bill for $40.00. I called Humana and found out they billed the charges to Medical instead of Vision. I told the Customer Rep the whole story. She called MyEyeDr. She then called me back to say their representative said they billed it to Medical because I never had the regular eye exam since I had cataracts, so they billed it as a regular doctor appointment. This is fraud because they knew my appointment was for a normal eye exam, which I had, and my receipt shows full payment. Nothing shows I have a copay of $40.00! If they would have told me that I would have known immediately they were billing it wrong. Of course they knew it because I made that clear, so that's why they didn't tell me! This is Medicare Insurance Fraud because by billing the appointment under Medical instead of Vision they get more money! Stay away from this company because they can't be trusted!

I have caught 2 buses to arrive to my appointment on time, when arriving to the Paxton location, I was not greeted in the proper way and was told that they tried to reach me by phone and email, the phone number that they had was my old phone number that I had years ago, while making a appointment online, I used my updated phone number, I went thru emails and the only email I received was the email to confirm my appointment after explaining to the rude lady at the desk she showed NO remorse at ALL, I am highly upset now I have to take 2 more buses to get home. I don't understand why they didnt use the updated phone number from booking my online appointment. They really need someone else at the front desk who has personality and respect towards customers
I am done with MyEyeDr in Benton Harbor. I've gone to them for several years.
I had an issue with them a year ago with a broken frame that was a few months past the warranty date. I was happy to pay for the repair. Finally, after complaining, they repaired them and charged me a small fee.
This year, same thing. My frame broke one month after the warranty expired! I was willing to pay for the repair but Teresa told me they couldn't do it. Finally she sent a request I to the main office and said she would call me back within a week. It's been almost two weeks! Nothing! They never follow up!
I have moved on. I've ordered a new pair of glasses from another business. I will never go back there again.

Ordered glasses over 3 weeks ago; nothing received. Called office, had to leave message OF COURSE! That was 9:00am, as of 4:00pm, have not heard a word from anyone. Went online to check status: "We need more time. Your order has been moved to PRIORITY STATUS"; as opposed to the apparent INDIFFERENCE status of the past 3 plus weeks! Love the Dr., but I will never buy glasses here again!
If you book an appointment online, call to check they received the appointment and have it scheduled before making the trip. Even if you have the a copy of the confirmation. Suggest bringing it with you for back up. Not sure it would have helped, but at least I would not feel like I was loosing my mind. When I got home from not getting my exam, fired up my PC to check incase it was I that screwed up. It was on my windows desktop as I knew would be there as I had opened it before making the trip to verify the address. Low and behold, I was right, date and time. Also the phone number I used to book the appointment which they could not find in their system either. Looks like a disconnect between their online scheduling and their offices.
Tip for consumers:
Double check the appointment is scheduled.

I truly had the most wonderful experience 😌 at My Eye Dr Kaitlyn was so kind 😇 and helpful she made my day she is a true gem. Professional customer service at it's best👌. It feels good to know that we still have alot of caring ppl in this world it truly makes a difference thanks Kaitlyn! 😊 Sincerely Janet
MyEyeDr took over and ruined a great Austin local small business - Stars in Your Eyes.
MyEyeDr lost my favorite frames when they were having new prescription lens installed.
They charged me 50% of the replacement frame cost even though they lost them. I'm a 7-year loyal customer.
Then they turn my account over to a collections department who call and text my mobile relentlessly for weeks morning and night. I told the agent I woould go to the store and discuss this with them as I pay my bill in full before leaving the store everytime. Still the calls keep coming.
I go to the store and no one can assist me. I call the toll-free number and they can only collect money.
What a scam. Check the companies Better Busines Bureau score for headqurters in Vienna VA - a 1.3 rating out of 5. Terrible! Hundreds of consumer complaints.

My eye doctor told me progressive lenses would be great for me as I could use them for reading by looking through the bottom of the lens and also have good distance vision through the top. After they made my new lenses I could see great through the top but there was only a very small area that I could read through at the bottom and about 80% of the viewing area was distorted and blurry on each side. When I called to see if they could fix it they said that's normal but if you want to upgrade to a higher end lens it would be better. I did order a very expensive lens with a retail price of $404.00 and seems like they don't want to take responsibility for not telling me this would occur in the first place or they are lying and want me to spend even more $$. Think they are scammers and they are owned by Goldman Sachs now so beware.
I very recently had my first appointment. From the moment I walked and dealt with the office staff until the moment I left I was made to feel so comfortable. Dr. Adam Morrow is amazing and so personable. I've never experienced such an in depth eye examine. Paris took care of me in the eyewear section. She picked out the perfect frame for me! I will recommend this office to anyone needing eye care.
Glasses broke 9 days after pick up. Came to store. Because I hadn't purchased insurance, I was bluntly told to go glue them myself. The woman at the counter then turned her back on me. I asked if there was a 30 day policy and she said no without even making eye contact. You just lost a long term customer for over 20 years. I couldn't even explain or ask about 30 day return on defects. Shame on you
We have come here for 7 yrs. Our vision insurance ALWAYS covered eye exam.
It still does but this MyEye Doctor office refuses to accept it. They run the insurance info and say it isn't covered. I spoke with the Aetna rep and they state it IS coverered.
My wife's contacts took 6 months to arrive last year. She had the exam and contacts were ordered. 6 weeks later we inquired about them. We were told they needed to be reordered. We did. 6 more weeks passed. No contacts. They finally arrived2 weeks later.
The reps here were rude and condescending. Go elsewhere.

Went eleswhere and would recommend you do the same
After spending $1200 on a new pair of glasses, 2 adjustments, and being told that I will just have "to get used to them". 6 months later, they sit in a drawer absolutely worthless. The worst customer service ever. Don't waste your time or your money!
I made an appointment several weeks ago for a check-up and to purchase a new pair of glasses. I arrived exactly at my appointment time at 9 a.m. on a Saturday morning since I don't have the ability to skip work on a weekday.
I was informed that they had cancelled my appointment without notifying me, and there was no option but to reschedule to sometime in December, over two weeks away.
I received no email to confirm an appointment, nor text message, nor phone call. Apparently they just cancel appointments for reasons unknown, after you've been a customer for many years.
Even better, someone else was already there to take my appointment, but they had no idea where their paperwork was, so the optometrist was just helping absolutely no one instead of keeping the appointment I booked.
I've been hearing good things about Warby Parker, time to check them out.
The eyeglass clinic, Mr. Eye doctor I am so discouraged, disappointed, and a waste of money. I bought coach frames and got Progresso scratch resistance, glasses. Oh my God, I am in devastation I wasted my money on something I thought was gonna be good for my eyes. These are not scratch resistors, they smudge and it is a hard time trying to wipe them even with the cleaning solution. It does not do any justice for it. Please don't waste your money or your time there. Sorry I just can't imagine spending so much money on glasses and I didn't get what I paid for. In cedar hill

I went to the Clarendon, VA, store on 4/29 and ordered a pair of glasses. One month passed, and nothing - email, text, or call. One month later, I called and canceled the order. I had never experienced a health service company that did not care about its customers until MyEyeDr. And their website only caters to appointments. Hardly any feedback on orders. Their message on my order was they put in a rush request.

Dr. Coccia is a good physician, he is personable, has a great chair side manner and very knowledgeable. He listens while making eye contact (unlike other physicians consistently dictating while your talking). Additionally, Lynn at front desk and Laura his tech are equally as professional and compliant the doctor's well. However, one of their newest staff Nicole was extremely rude unprofessional is an understatement. While explaining how my husbands appt was cancelled incorrectly she never allowed to explain how, yet cut me off twice only to offer the telephone number to their Relations Department. When I attempted to tell her …that she wasn't even listening to my explanation but rather was being rude she signed (with what sounded like frustration) and again stated "that's the policy, I can give u the number for relations dept. I then ask her to speak with ….(before I could ask for Lynn or the Mgr) she responded "have a good day" and call was disconnected.
Because I really really like the doctor Coccia. I put up with these NEW "business practices". As, I realize MyEyeDoc is attempting to run a money making business, and patient care is not their priority. Again, evident with their newest practice to re-confirm your appt times otherwise it will automatically cancel. Then there's the constant turnover with staff (from contact lens staff to mgmt), over lapping appts (again maximizing the doctors schedule) and last but not least limited selection of frames. Thou I've been a patient for many years I am currently questioning if I will return as I WILL NOT tolerate is disrespect ESP when I spend my money.
