Very happy with Nationwide. They provided the most detailed of the three quotes we requested (the other two gave insufficient information to make a decision).We had to wait a few weeks for the surveyor to come and carry out the formal survey, but when he did, he worked quickly, answered all our questions and explained all the options to us, so we happily signed on the dotted line. There is a huge range of colour options to select from, and we went for a jolly yellow and white striped awning. It has made so much more of our garden, and gives us great pleasure. We now have some friends and neighbours who are considering such an addition to their outside space. We only had it installed in early August, so can't comment on how it will be over the long term.

Deckroof started to install on 22 August and on 23 August without any prior notice professionals left the site and didn't finish the job. I had to contact the work manager then and had to cancel my pre booked bank holiday trip with family on 26 August Monday, so they can revisit and complete the installation work on that day (I had no other choice except to cancel my well advanced and pre booked holiday trip plan because work manager wasn't able to provide me any other completion dates before the mid September!). It didn't stop there, on 23 August there was raining and we noticed there were multiple water leaking sites through the partly-installed roof as well as through the deckroof and building wall attachment side. Photos and videos of it was sent to customer service on 24 August and while they came back to site on 26 August, I was explained & reassured by the professionals that leaking happened due to incomplete joint sealings and after completion of installation today, there would be no more leakages. However, there was further raining on 7 September and we discovered that there are again multiple areas of water leaking sites from the deck roof as well as roof-building wall junction - though sealant were applied everywhere while installation completed on 26 August. I resent photos and videos to company regarding this issue and now I am waiting for them coming back to reassess the status of leaking on 1 October! More than three weeks later from reporting date. I am very dissatisfied with the disruptive work pattern and poor installation workmanship; I had to cancel my pre booked bank holiday trip because of company's non-professional behaviour and now I have to wait for more than three weeks before they can come and reassess the status of workmanship. I was told by company that if there is any cancellation happens with other appointments, they may visit my property before 1 October. I won't recommend this company to any of my relatives, friends and colleagues.

From the initial quotation, I was advised what was expected of me in terms of when payments would be due and how long the awning would take to build.

I was give a fitment date but called the day before to hear that they had finished another job early and would be able to come a day early. I agreed and expected to see them still there when I returned home but they had already finished and left.

Really pleased with the service and product from start to finish.

Would be happy to recommend them.

All in all a very good experience from sales to installation. The only thing that let it down a bit was the confusion around paperwork. I took the interest free finance option. What should have been signed when and by whom wasn't clear. Love the awning.

The product quality looks to be the best. The whole thing works beautifully and is so simple to use with the full remote control and the heating and lighting as well. Everybody who sees it loves it. And the team at Nationwide were very friendly and professional and did a great job for us. I would recommend them to anybody. Although it was installed mid december and we are now early January, we have already used it half a dozen times and it just brings a whole new dimension to the patio.
Being in the pandemic lockdown, this is giving us a breath of fresh air and an enjoyable view which we would not have so readily without the awning.

Good all rounder team shame that they did not have a jig saw to cut around stench pipe 110mm but got the job done, I have an issue with the power wires can be seen above the so called clear pvc roof.
The lights are not bright when on full power?9 need to be phoned to discus this issue.

From the moment Jerry, the sales assistant, came over to our house to see our patio and help with the options, to the lovely surveyor and fitters of our amazing veranda, all was super quick and problem free process.

After putting up this review their CEO rang to say the person who had been dealing with the matter was on holiday and he (CEO) would send the money back. At least I got my money back. However I feel this was only because they did not like the reviews. This man talked to me as though he was doing me a favour giving me my money back. Now I have my money back they keep ringing up asking me to take down the review.
Would I recommend NO.

We find this review unfair and misleading.

This client received a clearly laid out quotation 6 weeks prior to signing a clearly laid out contract for a particular product with a particular design. Upon our surveyor’s visit, the design that was agreed was completely changed for something that was not conducive to the quotation or signed contract. To achieve the newly requested parameters would have added considerably to the cost.

We attempted to work with the client to reach a middle ground but it was deemed by both parties to not be possible. It was subsequently agreed that the deposit would be refunded in full and being this made the initial review obsolete, upon clearance of the monies, the review would be removed.

We kept to our side of the agreement – it is a shame that “Caro N” could not do the same.

Why have you taken a deposit of £2497. 50 off a Disabled Old Age Pensioner. Although you were always ringing to get the deposit I heard nothing for nearly a month once you had my money. I showed your first "surveyor" the photo of what was required. I thought the price was too high and told him so and did not go ahead. Your office sent an email to see why I hadn't ordered. I told your office it was too dear. Then your office sent an email saying it would be £4999. I paid the deposit then hear nothing for almost a month (Jan 2019)
I had to ring you as I was becoming worried about my money. Your office blamed the second "Surveyor" he blamed your office when he arrived saying he had not got the paperwork. After being shown the same photo that I had shown the first "Surveyor" of what was required to your second "Surveyor." said " it will be cost more money". I was not willing too pay more in the first place. Your 2nd Surveyor said I would get my money back so where is my money? I have seen other reviews on the web where you I believe treat OAP badly is this what you are trying to do to me? Had I have known what was going to happen I would never have paid any money in the first place. Decent reputable companies I believe do not treat customers in this way.

Ive been enjoying my bespoke veranda designed by Nationwide for 5 years now and Ive got nothing but good things to say about the company and their products.
They worked closely with me throughout the design process, and their expertise and experience meant that what I ended up with a quality product thats built to last.
Im sitting in my veranda right now as I write this, warmed by the heater and sheltered from the rain in total comfort top marks for Nationwide.
Tips for consumers: Make sure you listen to their advice when it comes to picking the right materials they know what theyre talking about!

We are very happy with our new Veranda. Superb construction. The technical preparation was excellent with a site visit by the surveyor followed by the build day. Personnel carrying out the build were brilliant and a happy team. Highly recommend this company and product

Following the installation of an awning in early summer we have just had a side blind fitted. Once again we were very happy with the service provided and the product. All staff that we had contact with were polite, helpful and kept in contact throughout the waiting period. The fitters came on time, were thorough and left everything clean and tidy. We were given instructions on how to use the side screen and was left with appropriate paper work. We would recommend this company.

From initial visit for the order details to site visit prior to fitting everything has gone very smoothly indeed. First visit went over the numerous options available to us and the follow up site visit finalised exactly what was going to happen to our satisfaction. The fitment team where very professional in all aspects of the fitting and left the site clean and tidy afterwards. We are very happy with our new veranda, thank you.

We had a Veranda supplied and fitted by Nationwide some years ago to facilitate an
Seating and BBQ area, and recently we decided we needed a gable end fitted to one end of the structure we contacted Nationwide who were extremely helpful from start to
Finish.

Both when the original works were done and when the later gable end was fitted the same service was supplied. The surveyor explained what the structure would be like
And the team fitting the items were friendly, professional and efficient. Upon
Completion the site was left clean and tidy.

From survey, sales and installation I have been so pleased with the service and the product. The communications have been brilliant around arranging a date to install and then the team that did the work were great. All done in under 5 hours with the garden left clean and tidy.

I am so happy with my awning, not just the product but the whole service from start to finish, from the first meeting with the sales man Neal he was lovely, to the to guys who fitted the awning, so quick and friendly they didn't leave one trace of mess, and the ladies in the office have been so helpful, definitely would recommend Nationwide to friends and family.

The end piece fell off in first fortnight. I reported it and waited 3 weeks for replacement. I was told it would be done on a certain date when I was due to go out in afternoon. I said please come before 1pm.At 1.55 I phoned HQ to say cancel visit as I am going out now and was told they were in area. I delayed leaving and let them into garden and left them doing the repair.
I was annoyed that they came at the wrong time but the job seems to be ok and they closed up the premises for me.

This company did need chasing for a quote but after getting that and choosing them they carried out the project very professionally and to budget. The install team were very good indeed and polite, clean etc. the surveyor returned twice with no quibble to advise and recommend the works we had to carry out before install and was very good too. The office staff were always available and again did what they had to do well.

Installation was quicker than expected too, which was great but I would like to feedback that an 'order progress' email/communication could be improved as I called to check on progress and was then told it would be quicker than originally quoted.

Our new property has bifold doors and faces south so we decided to invest in a veranda to minimise UV damage and extend the living / relaxation space. From initial contact, salesmans visit and quote, through to ordering and installation everything went smoothly. Nationwide are good people to deal with and I would highly recommend them. The slight issues we had were resolved quickly and efficiently. We love our veranda and neighbours and visitors are all impressed with both its looks and it's function.

As our patio faces South we initially bought a large umbrella to shield us from the sun, however it was difficult to move and was prone to blow over so we decided to invest in an awning. The whole operation was professionally carried out and we are pleased with the final product.

We sought a quote from three different companies. We were very impressed with the Nationwide brochure but really wanted to see the product before committing to it. Luckily we have some relatives who live near the showroom so we combined a visit to them with visiting the Nationwide showroom. We were very impressed with the showroom as they had both verandas we were interested in. We placed an order for the preferred one and decided to order an electronic blind. The veranda and blind were fitted in December by excellent installers who finished the job in one day. The veranda looks great and we have used it and the blind a lot during this lovely weather. It's great to be able to sit outside with a coffee even when it's raining. This is a quality product and I thoroughly recommend this company.

Nationwide have kept me well informed from initial visit to completion.the surveyor was extremely helpful even out of his hours.
In the day of instillation the weather was horrendous.the three guys arrived very early and worked right through the day in the pouring rain.they completed same day and left the site clean and tidy (dispite all the mud!). They were polite and courteous.we have been having a huge extension done to our house and I can honestly say that out of all the various trades people that have been here your three guys were the best.the veranda looks lovely.thankyou

It was a great service from start to finish and the product is amazing - we are very happy! I agree with some reviewers that this is an expensive product and we were slightly surprised about the payment schedule but I guess as they are made bespoke its reasonable to expect money upfront. The original fitters couldn't fit and needed to reschedule but this was done within two working days and the second team were a lot more confident.
