I've been using Native Instruments products for years. Their customer support is solid, and they have a large community of users as well as a forum for tutorials for discussions, tutorials, and other resources. Their products have excellent build quality, and their software receives regular updates. There's a lot to explore on their site in terms of software and hardware selection, and everything I've gotten from them has been worth the money.
Tip for consumers:
They have sales from time to time. If you want to catch some good deals I recommend signing up for email updates, and checking their site around the holiday season.
Products used:
Maschine MK3, Maschine 2.13.0, Native Access, Maschine Expansions.
Bit of learning curve but that means there's lots of depth and flexibility. The number of 3rd party virtual instruments is staggering as well. Tips- wait for sales when the new version is about to come= out-the old version is usually a great deal.
Native Instruments offers good quality instrument plug-ins and related tools. I use many in my studio work. However, there is almost never a time when I purchase and download a product that I do not encounter technical issues, e.g., a product won't install, or the product causes my DAW to crash. Making matters worse, it is often difficult to get a timely support response from Native Instruments. When I do get a response, the quality of support varies widely depending on who is assigned to the case. Often, the fix for issues requires the removal of a product from my system and re-installing it. Unlike other software company's products, NI products do not offer single-click de-installation. Rather, it is necessary to search through file directories and remove multiple files manually. Such issues have caused me to miss deadlines and waste studio time. On top of all that, Native Instruments is absent from social media, e.g., Twitter. This makes it difficult to hold NI accountable for the results they deliver or to communicate with other NI customers that may be experiencing similar issues. NI really needs to take a hard look at the customer experience they deliver, improve their software management processes, improve their ability to support the products they sell, and to become a transparent product provider that uses customer feedback to continually improve.

Many NI instrument plug-ins, Kontakt 7, Komplete Kontrol, Reactor, etc.
I purchased plenty of products from native instruments. My first and favorite's are my maschine 3 and Komplete 11 bundle. Easy to load and add my plugins to all my computers. I order the glaze melted vibes and I enjoy them. Now I can use the patches for https://pianofree.com videos Awesome! Thanks again.
Hi everyone. From top to bottom, my 24-month foray into NI was full of issues. In order to buy or sell products second hand, you need serial #'s. If you were selling one or two, I'd imagine it might go smooth (though I wouldn't bet on it). But after that, serials "talk" to one another. You need serial X before you can upgrade to Y and then Z. But their system is atrocious. I had a Komplete package which I eventually got transferred, installed, and working (but with some frustrating days waiting for their Customer Service team. And later, when I went to sell the same package, the serials didn't align perfectly on NI's end. And there's the problem. You need customer service at that point to look into it, mess with things manually, etc. And NI is horrid at this. They USED to have a chat function where you could at least speak to someone in real time. Now, they have an email ticket system. You can expect an answer every 24-48 hours, but I got the impression that they were just trying to tick off that they'd replied, not that they'd fixed anything or moved anything forward. It's extremely frustrating. If you are just getting into music production, I would strongly recommend you look for another company to get in bed with. Native Instruments will give you major issues. I wish I had known what I was getting in to.
Tip for consumers:
Please please please look at other similar companies to this one. They are notoriously bad at customer service, and you will eventually need the. If you don't like waiting on 4-word emails from Germany that don't advance the plot, don't go with NI.
Products used:
Komplete 13 Ultimate, Kontakt 7, some extra session guitarists
I own 2 Komplete Kontrol keyboard, the Maschine and the Komplete Ultimate Collector's Series software suite. Their products fulfill all my musical needs. They offer great tutorial and are always upgrading ways to learn and use their products.
Nstive Instruments have the best vst synths but at a price. There are plenty of sample hardware to download and test before you make a decision to purchase. I havent had any issues with any software so far but the I have a core i7 computer and watch my CPUs. The only issue I have is that there arent many single synth VSTs to purchase seperately and you have to buy a bundle which can be high if your only interested in a couple of VST synths.
