Netflix has a rating of 2.5 stars from 1,822 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Netflix most frequently mention customer service, credit card, and good movies problems. Netflix ranks 3rd among Streaming Movies sites.
Netflix is my go-to streaming service for its vast library of movies, TV shows, and original content. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to discover new favorites, and the personalized recommendations help me find content tailored to my interests. I appreciate the ability to create multiple user profiles for personalized viewing experiences. The monthly subscription fee is well worth the endless hours of entertainment
I'm disappointed that Netflix has added adds now. This was one of the major draws of a streaming service and now you have to watch adds or pay a premium to not have them. Very annoying. Also, I hate how most of the Netflix originals most of the time are not family friendly. There is often so much foul language and sexual content that the majority of the time, if I see that it is a Netflix original, I just skip over it. Shows don't have to have all of that to be good. Wish they would stop feeling like they have to add more and more of it.
Use to love picking moves of Netflix because star rating was a good way of picking go moves. Now that they changed with the thumbs up or thumbs down rating. We are spending more time starting moves then finding out ther not in our liking after about half hour or so of watching it. This system sucks. Going to look for another move provider. Sad choice for Netflix! Everyone I've talk to hates it...
Netflix content is abysmal. Most of their content consists of a lame collection of documentaries, C grade movies or 25 year old B grade movies peppered throughout multiple categories like "Recently added", "Trending Now", "New Releases", and "Popular on Netflix". You're likely to see the same movie listed in each of these categories. Did I mention a significant portion of these movies are foreign and require reading the movie!. Netflix is mostly about expanding its business globally and providing the lowest level of content required to maintain its subscription base.
Aside from the lousy value to its customers, I believe its competitors will put this dog under.
We don; t even bother with broadcast or cable TV at our house. We can rent DVDs or stream pretty much anything that's worth watching for a few dollars a month. And it is simple to go in and change your plan anytime you want to.
Now in truth to navigate content is pretty hard work but if you know what you want or have found what you want then this is truly brilliant. We use multi account service and share with our parents t no additional cost (sweet). Will always continue to pay! A star!
Thanks to Netflix, we're not stuck watching the garbage on TV that passes for entertainment. We Love streaming our shows, and movies every night, No commercials. Great service! They've come up with a couple of Great shows of their own, such as, "House of Cards." Very reasonable prices, great, dependable service. More new shows would be great, but really, that's up to the studios. Blockbuster was REALLY stupid by not offering streaming, before it was too late. Oh well!
Tip for consumers:
Use their website to choose your tv shows, and movies. For me, at least, it's easier. Either way, an Excellent value, with Great service.
No loyalty to their customers of over 10+ years. Families do not always live in the same household and these changes are greedy and cruel. To punish their customers in an economic downturn is beyond corrupt. Their platform isn't even quality and you can find all the shows they provide for free online. I hope Netflix burns.
Netflix Live Streaming package (though more affordable) contains lower budget movies and shows, including B actors). Any past movie or TV show that was a top notch hit will not be found on Live Streaming. It's a huge disappointment for those on fixed incomes and lower budgets. In fact, I find it demeaning. There's a sense of feeling treated like low class citizens, with the more affordable Netflix streaming. The movies and shows live streaming offers, consistently leave me feeling disappointed. Even movies and shows that formerly were available for live streaming, have been strategically moved to DVD only package, leaving only scraps for those who cannot afford to pay extra.
Tip for consumers:
If you want quality movies and shows, do not sign up for Live Streaming.
Netflix has helped me cut the cord with my cable company. It's well worth the monthly amount you pay for it. I do wish they'd get more "blockbuster" movies and just more popular movies in general. But they are killing it with their original series.
Not enough selection of intelligent dramas. Netflix is heavy on third rate zombie movies and cops and robbers trash. Yes the blockbuster movies are there, but nothing to feed your interest in extraordinary movies. Or even old "classics". Just run of the mill stuff here.
I travel with my 5th wheel, 4 months a year. Netflix won't let me use my hot spot for TV, without an additional charge. Why? That is double dipping. Not going to pay for home and 5th wheel at same time when I'm only using in one place at a time. You lost a potential customer!
I don't use netflix anymore wanna know why because netflix says that if u share an netflix account with your family or friends u get paid extra and i don't want that, cant affort that. One of the reasons i watch free movies on the internet. Never getting Netflix in my life again cant pay 100 dollars a month for real.

Netflix could be better. I would like to see more up to date shows and movies. By the time they get it I've seen it on Hulu or Playstation Vue... I don't know how much longer I'll keep it and I have been a member for over 5 years.
Netflix was my favorite place to watch old shows and new. They had a big selection of movies and that was great to me. For the past 3 years they have taken off Buffy, Angel, and a few other shows I loved binge watching. There isn't really much for me to watch on there anymore. Sure I like their originals, but a lot are lacking in entertainment. Not many movies to pick from unless you're ok with watching B movies. Other than enjoying their original shows (which are very little episodes and you have to wait a year to watch the next season!) there really isn't any reason for me to keep it. I'll be ending my subscription to Netflix today.
I had been a Netflix user for years but I have gotten disgusted with unusable disks, extra charges for Blu-ray, lousy choices for online movies, how long it takes them to get the new movies when they come out (and that is going to get a lot worse from what I have read lately) and the constant price raising. Now that they have split their service they can raise their prices on us more often and do it twice (by raising one and then the other every few months. Anyway, I am done with them, cancelled their service today (or I would get charged again tomorrow).
Tons of shows with every season you are able to watch. Who the heck doesn't like/own Netflix nowadays? My only complaint is I don't like... most... movies on it. I kind of wish Netflix would let us customize our accounts better. I don't need all these garbage films on my account. I realize it's variety, but I would just rather not have them on there at all than sift through all these crap films to find a movie. ***RECENTLY ADDED*** a movie from 1985 -_-
I don't know how you can give a bad review to a game-changer like Netflix. Every other competitor site is just that- a copycat.
I've never had a single problem with Netflix. It's fast, no technical issues, the purchasing is easy and quick. Since I signed up I didn't have to do a single thing, really.
Plus it has the best choice of movies and tv series, hands down!
I have been a subscriber for over 10 years but now it's time to try another streaming service. The content used to be good but now I continually can't find anything that I want to watch. The Harry Meghan deal was an unbelievably stupid waste of OUR money and that's just one example of how low they have gone. On top of the content going down, their rates have climbed sky high as they look to us to pay for their bad choices.
We were a long time subscriber of Netflix. Why we stayed so long I have no idea. Log on issues etc happened all too often. No trouble with Amazon, Hulu, or any of the others. The Netflix customer abuse department has one solution... reboot. When that doesn't fix the issue they claim it is your equipment or your internet provider. Generally the problem cures itself in an couple of hours, so in the past we have lived with it. Today, once again the problem raised head. After the standard "reboot" process failed, the customer abuse department rep told me that I had no other options but to call my internet provider. Remember, all other streaming channels work just fine... I told him that I had an additional option... Cancel my subscription! NO MORE NETFLIX! Cheers!
Ok, I have had netflix for about 3 years, I like the variety of shows to watch. I am struggling with a few offerings. Netflix has NO problem showing product with gay content. This makes me sick and I feel sorry for those individuals who have been mislead by people saying it is ok, it is NOT, no more than rape, child porn, etc. Here is the bigger problem, other confused people will see this type of product and then think it's ok in there life. Netflix wake up and screen the shows you provide, try to help instead of hurting.
Sad to say I prefer the old days when it was inexpensive to get your disc in the mail. Now that they stream, there is little to watch and I pay twice as much to get any new releases via the mail. I do enjoy a few of their original programming and Amazon hasn't caught up YET. I hope that Netflix considers their next changes more carefully, they have competition now and even those who have been here since the start are not afraid to leave.
Netflix, why the $#*! are you gatekeeping my broke $#*! from watching paul blart mall cop and across the spiderverse, i only stay here to watch breaking bad and paul blart mall cop, and you just ripped half of my soul away by gatekeeping it away from me, you have 7 days to repair this, or else im throwing hands.

The new sharing clause is laughable. Moves /shows are old. There is too many streaming sites that allows sharing to even consider it. Take notes from blockbuster and the Redbox movies. Oh wait they are nonexistent. The ppl has spoken. Our password our money u can't tell me what to do.
Cancelled
In my experience so far they are reasonably reliable, although on occasion we get loss of sound and sometimes connection for a few seconds as an example. The content though is fairly old, plus with a lot of films i can watch elsewhere without paying. Certainly the quality of the films in many cases is very second rate, with the odd nugget head and shoulders above the rest.
I don`t think you will read this review when choosing Netflix - nowadays everyone knows what it is. Their unique shows and other choices for the price are excellent. Can`t tell what the alternative is
Love their streaming, which is basically all I use, now. Not so in love with their DVD shipping. I have waited an unbelievable four weeks to receive one particular DVD, part of a series. Without it I can't watch the rest of the series. I keep getting the wrong DVD.
The feedback options on the website are extremely limited.
Finally - the reviews on the site used to be helpful, because you could see reviewers' profiles and see if they had similar tastes. That's gone, so the reviews - out of context - are virtually useless.
Looking forward to more streaming options so I can ditch Netflix.
