“Netflix is my go-to streaming service for its vast library of movies”

Nat G.
3/29/24

Netflix is my go-to streaming service for its vast library of movies, TV shows, and original content. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to discover new favorites, and the personalized recommendations help me find content tailored to my interests. I appreciate the ability to create multiple user profiles for personalized viewing experiences. The monthly subscription fee is well worth the endless hours of entertainment

“Disappointed lately”

Zach P.

I'm disappointed that Netflix has added adds now. This was one of the major draws of a streaming service and now you have to watch adds or pay a premium to not have them. Very annoying. Also, I hate how most of the Netflix originals most of the time are not family friendly. There is often so much foul language and sexual content that the majority of the time, if I see that it is a Netflix original, I just skip over it. Shows don't have to have all of that to be good. Wish they would stop feeling like they have to add more and more of it.

I've had Netflix we're probably going on at least 10 years now. Started with the DVDs that came in the mail and it was always fun to see what was coming next, and to be able to build up your playlist and had the next one returned automatically when you turn to the current disc was great. Course DVDs as the case with most technology overtime, have gone on away for the most part in lieu of or in favor of streaming. I have Netflix free now through my phone carrier which is a pretty cool benefit, but I have no problem paying $10 a month for the service. My biggest gripe with Netflix is the constant reversion to standard definition vs. HD. I have called a couple of times and the claim is that it's my Wi-Fi, yet I have Hulu live and Roku and neither of those seem to have a problem with the HD streaming. And it's not pleasant to look at a standard-definition picture on a 60-inch TV-the quality is just quite poor. However the pros it most definitely outweigh the Cons with Netflix, and I will continue to subscribe to it. Especially since I have about 27 people in my family using my login and I've never had an issue with Netflix telling me that I've got too many devices connected

It is the first service with perfect suggestions for me, starting from countries of series.
I don't know how they do it, especially now, but thank you, guys, for what you do!

Joined Netflix thinking it would be great to have a bigger selection of films/TV etc to watch, disappointed - most people will already have the DVD of the films as they are so old, the TV selection are again old series, nothing new or exciting here, waste of money!

Had Netflix a few times on and off over the last year, unfortunately the content just isn't good enough. For a hosted service you should really get more additions to the service!

Netflix DVD rental used to be great. Great selection of movies, great customer service, great prices - you get the idea. The decision to split the company into separate parts - one devoted to streaming content and the other to renting out hard copies has not been good for those of us who would rather watch/rent dvds than stream stuff online. There are now a remarkably large number of movies simply UNAVAILABLE if you want to rent the dvd. Many dvds arrive in unplayable condition as well. But the biggest problem with the service now is THROTTLING, which is a deliberate denial/slowdown of service to users who return discs too quickly for NetFlix to make a profit from their accounts. This is a REAL THING, not tin-foil hat conspiracy craziness.

My account was closed for an extended period of time and when I decided to start renting again, I also decided to open a new account. As dvd renters know, the first month for new accounts is free. And what a terrific free month it was! Turnover on rentals was brisk. I'd mail things back the day after receipt. I generally found myself getting TWO deliveries from NetFlix per week. Which STOPPED shortly after the free month ended. Now, dvds I mail back seem to vanish into nowhere for days at a time. Getting them to ship stuff out is like a grudge match now. Look, if sending too many dvds out to folks is all that much of a problem, why don't they just change their rental plans? Charge a set amount PER DISC. I'd be more than happy to pay 2-3 dollars for each dvd I rent if that's what they want. But the way they screw around to try and keep profits up is really annoying.

I've had Netflix for two years and I really love it. Only problem is that they never have anything I'm looking for. Like if I want a certain movie they usually dont have it so that kind of sucks

Netflix is an awesome venue for documentaries on reall life crimes and injustices!
In this documentary, Making a Murder, the outright lies, faulty investigations, coerisn, and widespread corruption is blatantly outlined by Attorney K. Zellner.
Why was this declined by the highest court of appeals, the United States Supreme Court?
This is OUR government legal avenue to PROTECT us from erroneous prosecution and infringement of our civil rights afforded in the U.S. Constitution!

This whole family has been ruined by these accusations and the incarerations of two of its family members.

And yet SOMEONE killed Teresa Halback and has gotten away with it and may have been killing others during this time.

Thank you Netflix for your amazing work on providing the public with real life cases and allowing us to see the inner workings of our legal system!

The person on the online customer service said there was no way to lodge a complaint. I asked for the details of the complaints department and he said he would have to ask if they had one, and then confirmed they did not. This is the customer service team. The agent then had the audacity to claim they were a 'feedback-driven company'.

Netflix also produces psuedo-historical documentaries they pretend are based on fact but perpetuate know racist conspiracy theories. Apparently racist conspiracy theories claiming that brown skinned people stole northern Africa from black-skinned people and that the Greek queen Cleopatra was actually black is part of 'inclusivity'. There is no credible historian who believes these claims, which are racist against brown-skinned and white-skinned people, and xenophobic against Greeks, Macedonians, Egyptians, Arabs and the majority of north Africans peoples.

On another occasion, I unable to to use the service I paid for because because a thief was illegally watching Harry Potter movies on my account. I had to talk to three customer service agents including a supervisor, who at first told me there was nothing they could do to log everyone out of the accounts even though I had verified I was the true account holder. It was only after pointing out that they were now accessory to a crime that they suddenly discovered they did have the technology to do that after all and resolved the problem.

We had it for two years and than canceled our subscription! They would charge (or try to charge) us for movies we ordered but NEVER got, they tried to charge us $115 for a DVD that never even arrived! And when they changed to digital online only we had even more issues. Bottom line is THEY SUCK!

This whole account sharing is ridiculous. People have been paying this company money for years only to not be allowed to share what they are paying for. In my family we share the costs of streaming services so that we can all enjoy our favorite shows without feeling the entire burden of paying for all services. Now Netflix does not let you share, now you have to pay extra to share. So in a time when people are struggling financially Netflix thinks it's the best time to charge people for something they are already paying for. On top of that their two cheapest plans only allow you to watch on one device. So now we cannot share with out families and if we want to lower our monthly costs due to this new rule we can only watch on one device at a time. Netflix is limiting our options so that we feel cornered to pay larger amounts of money in order to enjoy their services. Netflix you want families to enjoy the content you create but only if they pay MORE for it, if we cannot pay more for it then we can only watch on one device. You used to be my favorite streaming service above all others but you only seem to care about the money and not the customers. I only hope that all other streaming services do not follow your example.

Like to pay for what we watch and we've managed to find enough interesting stuff to keep our subscription for quite some time. We used to get bored with the content in a few months.

Big Netflix fan. Particularly enjoy some of the random documentaries they have and love House of Cards. Although sometimes the selection of films is a little limited.

Just new in NETFLIX, before I was just dreaming having Netflix subscription I find it expensive just to watch a show we'll you can eventually watch it soon when somebody uploaded it.
But, when I found out that there are so many shows, movies, series that I could watch unlimitedly I had to subscribe. Then I was so amazed of how huge the selection Netfilx have, my thinking of how expensive it is just to watch erased. Now I watch Netflix almost everyday, every time I had a free time, because I get to entertain by the shows, movies and also learn the history of different places because they have it here.
All in all its satisfying and worth paying for me..

I have a very basic computer set up with a Lenovo computer less than 6 months old, Win 7, DSL modem. No special anything on it.

I can watch Hulu shows and TV shows on www.cbs.com without any problems. But, when I tried NetFlix I had terrible streaming/buffering problems. When I contacted Netflix they told me to contact my internet service provider (ATT) - that it was their problem.

Talk about passing the buck! And telling me to contact ATT to fix anything is like telling me to give myself a frontal lobotomy without any anesthia, and, oh, here's an old pocket knife you can use to do it.

I hate companies that "pass the buck" to another company when there is a compatibility problem. This happens too often in the computer & communications arena.

Netflix should have been able to identify the problem (I'm sure I'm not the only person to run into this problem) and have some suggested solutions that they could give me.

Netflix is not my friend. Too bad because I'd love to watch some episodes that they have.

Completely and utterly obsessed with Netflix's original programming. I have yet to watch a series I didn't enjoy. The price is great, and selection is huge. Netflix is my longest relationship.
