Ordered a cake a few weeks ago sent a picture as requested and specified I would like a cake made as per picture design.
The cake was for a Leeds Rhinos fan and had a Rhino going over a score line. I received a bog standard supermarket cake which cost £74!.
I complained and was fobbed off with the excuse that I didn't ask for a Rhino... ummm refer to picture.
I suppose I should be somewhat grateful as numerous people never even received a cake.
Steer clear bog standard cakes with extortionate prices and your requests ignored they just do as they like.

I wanted a cake design that I couldnt see in the gallery. I sent a pic and discussed it with them. I tentatively ordered it - nervous of how it would look. I needn't have worried. It was amazing. My sister who it was for, was thrilled with it too. Thank you to Newcakes!

I ordered a 30th birthday running man cake for my son's birthday, it was delivered promptly, packed and protected very well, looked very professional and tasted amazing, I will definitely be using New Cakes again,

I canceled the order 17 days before the delivery date and received no money back at all even though their cancellation policy states I should have received 50% back if canceled above 14 days.
Their cakes are very expensive and so 50% for canceling above 14 days is ludicrous. Stay away and buy from someone more honest.

After reading the reviews I wasn't sure but then I thought the good reviews outnumber the bad by a lot so I went ahead and ordered a paw patrol cake for a 3rd birthday party.

Wow! I was so impressed with the service from the very first interaction with New Cakes. They were friendly and professional and helped me design a beautiful cake.

The cake arrived on time and was as stunning as I imagined it would be. Also tasted amazing... bonus!

I will definitely be using them again. It was well worth the price and everybody loved it, especially the birthday girl.

When you live the other side of the world and find out your mother is spending her birthday alone and it's less than 48 hours away... what do you do? I really wanted to surprise her with something special and New Cakes gave me the perfect solution. I ordered Sunday night and it arrived early Tuesday morning (you can specify 3 hour windows for delivery) and they delivered to her workplace. On top of that the range of cakes to choose from was amazing! I chose a cat one and they even provided a 'personal specs' box when you order so you can write any changes. I requested the black cat be made into a brown and white tortoise shell cat (because me mum has one) and amazingly they did exactly that. It made my mother's day, made her birthday a really special one, and was worth every penny. On top of all that the cake was delicious! A big thank you to Jess in head office who I was emailing about the delivery she was super helpful! This company must have some really hard-working people working for them as what they did for me was incredible.

Was shocked to read all the bad reviews on this site! Ordered cupcakes and a small cake for my daughters 2nd birthday. The team were very accommodating with my designs (3 different ones) and flavours (3 different flavours). The cupcakes were sooooo yummy as was the cake. Will definitely order again!

This review is base on the service provided and product delivered, so nothing to do with taste. Let me get straight to the point. First my delivery was missed and they wasted no time blaming the courier wrongly or rightly, they could have simple done a same day delivery instead they waited and call to ask if it can be delivered the next day - this shows how much they care about their customer - "0". They could have quite easily arrange a same day delivery, but choose not to. Anyway i agree for next day delivery and to add further insult the cake arrived with the all important cake decoration missing in parts and the actual wording not detailed as show on their website.

I don't write review, but in this case I have base on the horrible service rendered by this company. I am sure they have got it right on occasions, but frankly speaking you should be getting it right all the time and treat your customer with a bit more respect. I would have been better going to the supermarket and purchase a cake there to be honest.

To anyone thinking of purchasing a cake from this company, I would say be prepared for disappointment and hope for the best if you do decide to purchase from *******@NewCakes: Listen to your customers... In all honesty you should refund me as you did not fulfil any part of this order satisfactory.

Ordered a barbecue Cake for sons 40th & sent in a photo the New Cakes team did an absolute amazing job and the cake went down a storm the cake was a beautiful texture moist and everyone commented on how delicious it was the presentation was so beautiful considering. I ordered at very short notice and the New Cakes Team did a wonderful job to turn it round so quickly it arrived beautifully presented so very much appreciated thank you Pat

Order a 21st birthday cake it was absolutely beautiful arrived on time and it was packaged lovely I wouldent go anywhere else now cake was really fresh and tasty thank you Mrs Walker a very happy customer

Ordered a cake for husbands birthday in plenty of time, Did not arrive on date intended. 2 days later, after birthday, i rang the company many times. Apparently busy, then called to pretend I was ordering a cake and straight away I was called back. The guy who rang back called Richard tells me I should have chased up on Pacelforce and tried to pick up from them, so there is not refund. It's not their problem to make sure of delivery. Funny enough I had tried many calls to parcel force and they couldn't help me either. 3 days past delivery still haven't got the cake and New Cakes say parcelforce can still delivery the cake which was sent 4 days ago. They expect me to eat this cake that has been sitting in a van for 4 days. Whatever you do, how ever desperate you are DO NOT ORDER A CAKE FROM THIS COMPANY. I intend to get my money back one way or another.

It was my wife's surprise 40th birthday & I ordered the bag & shoe cake with the red velvet sponge which everyone commented how tasty & light the cake was the wife was over the moon with it.
I was starting to worry regarding the delivery as it was being delivered by a courier company & because I have worked in the industry for many years I have seen packages & boxes get thrown about so was beginning to think would my cake be in one piece but the box it came in was well packaged inside & the outside of the box had fragile written over it & also had cake written on it too & all that stress I was having I didn't need to worry at all as it was delivered 1st class & made it before midday delivery.
If I need a cake to be made I would always use New Cakes as was a great cake & great service.

My son's birthday party is tomorrow and I ordered the Minecraft cake for £49.99. Having two children and numerous nieces & nephews I consider myself to be an experienced party cake buyer however, this has to be THE most disappointing cake experience I have ever had, online or otherwise, and the customer service is awful. The cake looks nothing like the one on the Web page. My personalised message has been written by hand in faded text - not iced like the photo and two of the 3 sugar characters were broken including main character "Steve". To be honest they were very flimsy and not good quality. We phoned immediately asking if replacement figures could be posted but were told by a lady that she "just answers the phone" and cant take any action without the bosses approval however, he's always busy or out when we call. I emailed yesterday as instructed by the phone answerer including photos of the broken figures and no one has bothered to answer me or return our calls. Avoid them if you're smart!

Jess designed a Dr Martin boot cake for my daughters 18th, it was absolutely incredible and made a difficult lockdown birthday much more exciting. I still cannot believe how real the boot looked!

Absolutely furious with new cakes. I do not know why I even bothered with this. I ordered a cake to be delivered on a certain day before a specific time and it never arrived. Tried calling new cakes many times and kept getting told that 'clare' was away from her desk and that se would call me back. 5 phone calls later she finally did and was rude and completely uncaring. She knew that parcelforce had made a mistake and didn't bother to let me know which is there's, as a company's responsibility to do so. Also the 'receptionists' are rude and misleading and to me seem pointless as they are unable to do anything! I paid extra £12 for delivery and there has been no effort made whatsoever. And finally when I did manage to get through to someone, she was flippant and obnoxious. I quite rightly demanded a full refund which apparently she can't do and has to wait for the account who wasn't in today! How fortunate! So I went on to tell her that I would be leaving a bad review she told me "that's not going to help you is" so I'd she saying that if I do I won't get my refund!? Have reported the company to Trading Standards for complete lack of customer care and responsibility. Do not use this company. Not even for a last resort. You're better off buying one already made in tesco. Never have I been so angry.

I was a bit weary when looking at ordering cakes online, especially as I was so used to doing it in person. I came across New Cakes and they offered a variety of cakes, although, I saw they have a store it was too far to visit. I was looking for something different and I decided to go with the tiffany's cake. The customer service was good, as Jess answered any questions I had before I placed the order.

I placed my order which was quite easy and it was really good to see the different varieties of sponge, where I chose red velvet. The cake arrived packaged really well and compared to other places who did similar, I am so happy I chose New Cakes as the presentation was amazing and the cake itself looked wow.

It was a birthday cake surprise for my partner, who absolutely loved it and everyone else said the cake was tasty. Thank you to New Cakes for making the celebration that much more special with their excellent baking skills! I look forward to placing my next order with yourselves for all other events.
