I purchased for my 93 Seville. The car is old and i love it, but the security was keeping it from starting. My normal mechanic gave up, so i went to the GM dealer next town over. He claimed there was no replacement part available. So i found new rockies and took a last resort kind of risk. 3 days delivery and literally 45 minutes of install time and it's like the car never had an issue. She's started every time since. I don't even worry about it any more.
I purchased the pro module for my 98 chevy truck. Since first installation, I have removed and re installed it 3 times. I have checked switches repeatedly (shocker, they are still the same!) I managed to get it to start on 2 occasions for about a day at a time before it stopped working again. I have been talking to tech support for DAYS, and there is no phone number and no other way to contact besides waiting forever on a reply via email. When they do reply, it has consistently been asking if I checked wiring and switches... they literally asked me that when my previous message stated I had already done so. I am very disgusted with this. I wanted so bad for this to work!

Ordered NewRockies Pro Module fall of 2022 for '02 GMC Envoy. It worked well for nearly 6 months then I started having pass key security issues again. Email NR and they told me what to check. Yup I had not secured one of the wires properly. Bingo I thought! But 2 months later the issue came back - light was on, wires were all secure. Oh no! Tell you what NewRockies is legit! Jack helped me the whole with helpful hints and then with a whole new replace Module. If you're having a pass key issue don't sweat it, buy a NewRockies Pro. They will guide you through installation and back their product. Life is good!

For the last 10 days I have been trying to get clear instructions on how to hook this thing up. The instructions on the website for my truck are unclear. Jack, the answer guy is a complete JOKE. I keep getting partial answers, unclear answers, short, rude answers. Jack, you have to know WHAT I am asking so why can you not answer me clearly. I wish I had never bought this thing and if Jack cant get it done today I am sending it back. My nerves are shot...I sent it back. Return was the easiest thing about the whole experience.
Tip for consumers:
This has been a complete hell on my nerves.

After a year and a half of struggling to start my 98 seville, sh just gave up on me and there was no way to start her anymore. Tried everything, spent more than $3000, destroyed my nervous system to no avail. I purchased this PRO module from newrockies and Jack from their support was so helpful and fast even on weekends. I got her running and she is purring like new. Thank you newrockies and thank you Jack! I'll never forget!
Rare to see such honesty today! We bought their pro module for our 2000 LeSabre, even tried to install it with the instruction for the 99, until we discovered the 2000 is not supported by newrockies. Our fault 100%, it was all written on their website. We were over 40 days, contacted them and they accepted the return anyway! Refunded in full. I love these guys! This is better than the best! I would have never hoped to get my money back for something that was my fault and after the return deadline. I'm telling everybody!
Tip for consumers:
If you need to return, their RMA system sometimes has problems and they don't receive the request, just contact them after you file the RMA and they will process all of it for you.
After working with someone through email we discovered that this product wouldn't work for us. They gave us the information for returning, we followed the instructions and they have not responded after 3 attempts. Clearly they were waiting out the 30 day return period so we had to eat it even though they promise you can return with no questions asked. Thanks for sticking me with a product I don't need, I'm sure you money more than I do. This place is a scam, don't trust them.

Modules do not work all the time, and tech support is terrible only can communicate with e-mail so when you have a problem could take days for a response and is real short and brief. Only reason I am giving two stars is because they have work for me in the past but not the last two times?

I want to relay my experience with my 2006 GMC Canyon. I purchased this truck in 2010 and in 2011 began having issues with the Passlock system (key security). I might sit for 30 minutes before it would start. I purchased the bypass module and the problems went away and stayed away. Until November of 2020 (who could have guessed, LOL). Long story short, the original module failed. I contacted Newrockies, and 9 years later they honored the lifetime warranty and sent me a new one. Problem fixed, once again. My daughter now drives this truck, and Newrockies saved her new job with their prompt customer service. I specifically want to give a shout out to Justin, who went to great lengths to get the new one out in a timely manner. Can't say enough good about these folks!
Hello Bill, thank you for your positive feedback. Rarely do happy customers take the time to leave a positive review, we really do appreciate it. We hope your daughter and the 2006 Canyon have many more worry free years together.
I normally don't leave reviews, I feel like I needed to leave this one. I was kind of sceptical about the product because of the reviews on here. I took a chance because I didn't have another choice. So far so good, I'm 3 weeks in and still starting 100% of the time. Thank you new rockies.
Hello James, thank you for the positive feedback. We are glad your Silverado is back on the road.
So extremely pleased that the install was relatively simple and worked 1st time after following their learn procedure and the installation instructions. What a huge relief! The passlock issue would come and go, but when I moved from AZ to Iowa, the huge increase in humidity seemed to cause it major issues. And I had just started a new job in a new town and this would have surely cost me my new job had I not been able to get this module installed. I am so very pleased with this product and the company! They were even willing to give me a discount retroactively on a FB promocode I had seen shortly after buying and installing the module. Really great company from my experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone having passlock issues with their vehicle. Thank you so much!
Thank you Tyler, we appreciate the positive feedback. All too often only unhappy people write a review. This helps us more than you know, and in turn helps others.
Dont buy into this... i bought thru paypal, i thought they were us company after intem did not work i opened a case, paypal needed a return tracking number... to canada! W#HAT THE FU... it shiped to me in pa. So thats $50... gone, also you cant get help from newrockies, you have to open a page on there website make a password you can send question... it takes 2-3 days to hear back, and they dont answer your question, they always answer with more questions! Its a simple 3 wires... dont work, they say your money back, butt its going to cost you $50 and i have yet to get a refund? Still waiting on paypal. Why paypal will allow this? If you have any questions forget about it! Run away as Fast as you can. If not you will wish you did.
Unfortunately this instance was a failure on both sides. We here at NEWROCKIES understand that there is inevitably going to be customers that want to return the PRO Module for whatever reason. In this specific case, i followed the tech support ticket line and it appeared to be a misdiagnosis of original issue. We determined this via the ticket. (That's why we ask so many questions) This happens, and we have an avenue for these customers to take. We are normally notified of a customer wanting a return via the ticket system/contact us button. We then provide a link for RMA as well as a local address to ship to. We even included a return address in the ticket conversation with this customer.
In this case the customer decided to step around our process and started a PayPal dispute. PayPal then decides what happens, when, and where you can return to. NEWROCKIES is a Canadian Federal company and our address filed with PayPal is indeed Canadian. This is where the return to Canada came from. It is not our normal process, but was forced upon us by the dispute. We agreed to a return for refund via PayPal dispute, and the customer was refunded.
I advise any customers who have questions or concerns to contact us (http://newrockies.com/contact-newrockies/) and we will be able to work them out in a timely manner. NEWROCKIES has a 30 day No Questions Asked policy. We accept any returns in 30 days from delivery without question. This customer was well within the 30 days and return for refund would not have been an issue at all. Ultimately our goal is to help customers get their vehicles running for a low cost as opposed to the dealer fix. If this result isn't achieved, we will always accept return for refund.
We were out of hopes, so much money spent already changing parts until the dealer discovers it's the security and asks us for $1100 more to fix it. We had nothing left! Couldn't even borrow from the bank anymore. We have only this car a 98 Olds and had to live with it, me, my husband and 2 sons and had to go to work and buy groceries and everything. We got this pro module from newrockies in 3 installments, received it in 2 days and got the car running in a morning. We were crying of joy. We were desperate and now it's all solved and it's was so easy! Thank you NewRockies, I don't have words to say what I really want to say. You guys didn't just save our car you saved our family! THANK YOU!
After connection it did not have the light on the module, therefore checked the power on B2 with the ground A1 read 0 volts. Ran a new ground restored power to module and van started. Make sure to check incoming power to module pink wire B2 and black wire A1 ground. Therefore in my case I had a bad ground coming into the GM security module connector C1 pin A1 black wire, wich caused the module to act like there is a security problem shutting off the fuel injectors.
Bought a module for a 97 Acheiva. NewRockies send me a diagram on how to wire it up. I installed it but didn't work. Was able to send it Back and get a full refund. Good customer support. Thanks again.
Thank you Enrique for taking the time to leave us positive feedback. We really appreciate it. It's unfortunate we could get it to work on your Achieva, but it was worth a shot.
The module works very well we have it installed in 3 of our cars and never fails. They have problems in their support system. I was pissed they did not respond many times to my messages... only to find out they DID answer but their emails were ending up in my junk folder! I found so much stuff in that junk folder that wasn't junk at all! Well I was lucky I found a way to contact Luca Lambruschini which is an amazing guy and the creator of the module and NewRockies. Told him about the problems! They are working on a completely new system and website that will fix all of it. Guys check your spam/junk folder if you don't find replies to your return requests or support emails! You'll find them all in there! NewRockies saved my 3rd car! Yeah!
I recently found myself at a crossroads with my good old Oldsmobile. I've been driving this Cutlass for 22 years. The thing wouldn't start and the part I needed hasn't been made for 10+ years. I didn't want to trash my car. I found new rockies & bought their bypass. I can't believe how easy and perfect this is. The Cutlass is still going and i just couldn't be happier. I'm gonna run this thing till it blows up.
I got the ProModule & had a few issues at first when installing it that turned out to be because of Chevrolet changes to the wiring on the model Corvette I have but after some tense moments, once I found the right wires with the help of Jack in Support the car fired right up & runs great. Now I don't have to be afraid to drive my Corvette & worry about it breaking down. I reccomend Newrockies to anyone that has GM security issues, at least give it a try! I spent hundreds, maybe more like a thousand dollars on the car in a few months, nothing worked until I found this.

First I got one of their module a year and a half ago and it saved my 92 Toronado and it never had problems anymore and it runs like the wind. A month ago I bought a second module for my 99 Alero and tried and didn't work and Jack and Justin in New Rockies helped me find the problem that was in the ecm. They refunded me the module immediately! I don't understand why some people in these comments say they don't refund I have lots of facebook friends that installed their module and they are as happy as children at christmas. There kind and go many miles to help you and after all that help for a month they found my real problem and refunded the module. They saved my cars twice and the second one wasn't even with their module but they did it! Guys, where do you find a company like this today! Where!?
Fought with start shutdown issues. Wait 20-30 minutes maybe go. Sporadic. Ordered Module, paid my shop 30 minutes to install.
2 years later still working well.
After many attempts to bypass the VATS and dreaded 'Starting Disabled' message with the Pro Module, I finally returned it for a refund. The installation instructions did not match the wiring on this car, particularly for the TDM connection. Since returning it, my mechanic got the car running again by installing a new Passkey Decoder Module. I gave them 2 stars even though this module was not useful, because of the many efforts by Jack in tech support to try and make it work. Also, the refund process was quick and easy with a return PO Box in the US. This may work on some cars, but it didn't on mine.

Thank You Newrockies! I fixed my 1997 88 Oldsmobile by installing the Newrockies Passlock Bypass Pro Module! My security light kept flashing and my car would not start. That's the lowest feeling when you live out in the middle of no where, on top of a mountain in the National Forest. However I was able to fix the situation, without trouble shooting in pairs, other than a new battery. It was not the battery. Money wasted. Yet here I am with a running car, because I came across this website and took a chance at beating all odds I recommend you check this out if you're in the same situation or similar as I was. I'm thrilled for my successful self repair- permanent repair I should add. Five stars all the way (be prepared to work, it can take awhile if you have no clue what anything means as I didn't understand any of the instructions and it took me 3 days to finally get it installed. I had to basically find out what every word meant because I'm not mechanically inclined and didn't understand. For a long time I stared into the car, behind the glove box, looking at unknown parts, (to me) at multiple devices with dumbfounded awe and confusion, however if you understand cars and wires and stuff this is EASY) Thanks again Newrockies
I installed the bypass module on my 2004 Chevy Impala yesterday; it started up on the first try (the instructions say it may need the relearn procedure, but mine didn't), which means it probably worked. It was able to start previously, but I would tend to get passlock failure during dramatic temperature changes like in the spring or fall prior to the module. Time will tell if this is a permanent fix, but I'm very happy with it so far
My one complaint is that you have to access the BCM wires to install, which was not easy for me. This would earn five stars if only, instead of having to splice in wires, we could have a kind of 'intermediate' plug, in between the BCM and wires to manage the signal. That would dramatically reduce the time required to install. Not sure if that would even be possible though.
But aside from that, it seems to work great and I have no real complaints. It took me about 3 hours to install due to location, but it was worth it. I will update if the problem comes back.
Support was exceptional. I received a tracking number and a link to their installation instructions via email, and even an email notification on its arrival.
Happy that NewRockies Inc gave me a complete refund, even though I had passed their 30 day refund period.
Don't believe anything you read about "ease of installation." The installation instructions are a JOKE! On my truck you either need to completely remove the dash or cut an access hole to access the GM passkey module. I chose to cut a hole in the inner plastic dash support, which isn't visible after the trim goes back on. So far, so good, it seems to have worked - but I spent about 8 hours on the installation. That might have been ok, except that they made it sound so easy on their website. They should have a huge disclaimer reading "some installations may be challenging or seemingly impossible."
I installed the module. I thought it was working and solved my problem. I had an intermittent problem but it came back. After several other attempts to correct my problem had a mechanic look at it. It was my BCM, yea the part the module was supposed to be bypassing. Save ur money dont buy the bypass module. They will NOT do a refund so $279 flushed down the toilet.
Hello Gordon J, did you ever ask for a refund? We have a 30 day No Questions Asked return policy that we ALWAYS honor. We are in the business of helping people regain control of their vehicles, if that didn't happen for you... we would accept return for refund without hesitation.
GM Security Systems are killing cars all over the US. Only solution is to disable them permanently. This is what NEWROCKIES Inc. is all about.
Hello Brianna, we are sorry the PRO Module did not work out for you. The business that we are in can sometimes be tricky, we try our best to guide and help customers troubleshoot as much as we possibly can remotely. There is only so much we can do without actually being there, that is why our support staff asked so many questions and asked for so much info. Sometimes there are other things going on in the vehicle that can interrupt the function of the PRO Module, or problems that can masquerade as a security issue in the first place. Every once in a while, we get one of those vehicles that we simply have no answer to without a lot of extra data needed from the customer. Our ultimate goal is to help our customers make their vehicle reliable again for a lesser cost than the typical dealer price. If that hasn't happened, we gladly accept return for refund. I have sent you an email containing the info needed to return. Again, we are sorry we could not help you with your Suburban.
