I purchased for my 93 Seville. The car is old and i love it, but the security was keeping it from starting. My normal mechanic gave up, so i went to the GM dealer next town over. He claimed there was no replacement part available. So i found new rockies and took a last resort kind of risk. 3 days delivery and literally 45 minutes of install time and it's like the car never had an issue. She's started every time since. I don't even worry about it any more.
I purchased the pro module for my 98 chevy truck. Since first installation, I have removed and re installed it 3 times. I have checked switches repeatedly (shocker, they are still the same!) I managed to get it to start on 2 occasions for about a day at a time before it stopped working again. I have been talking to tech support for DAYS, and there is no phone number and no other way to contact besides waiting forever on a reply via email. When they do reply, it has consistently been asking if I checked wiring and switches... they literally asked me that when my previous message stated I had already done so. I am very disgusted with this. I wanted so bad for this to work!
This is not a review of product as much as customer service. I asked three days ago if my car could be helped with this product. Even though my 2006 Saab 97X is not listed for compatibility, most people (and mechanics) are not aware that this car is mechanically a Chevy Trailblazer with Saab finishes. It has the GM passkey III anti theft and my problems are getting worse by the day. I am in a time crunch and fairly desperate. I asked this simple question of the company and am met with silence.
*Update - I think an initial response to tell me they were looking into this would have been helpful. In the end my car is not compatible, and I am going to have a good cry.
I paid $259 for this bypass. I installed it and it was detective according to the experts at Newrockies. I sent it back and I have not received anything from this company. I know I lost my money and I wished I had not Spent so much on bypass. Best yo go to the dealer and have them repair the passlock.
Hello Robert, we have no record of your return. I looked through the ticket that you started (#63454) and i found the tracking number you had sent us a picture of. After entering the tracking, i see the problem. It has been "in transit" since March 22. It is obviously lost in the mail system. I will inform staff to refund you ASAP as this is something out of everybody's control.

Even that m'y problem is not fixed, they did helped me all the ways and they give me the refund right away after sending back the unit...
Thanks Again...
This wasn't the fix for me because I had problems with my ECM on my 2009 GMC savana. Newrockies doesn't have a phone number you can call but they do e-mail you back usually within 24 hrs. Jack was helpful in troubleshooting any issue but in the end it was a problem that their module couldn't fix, Justin made sure the refund process went smoothly. So to conclude Newrockies IS NOT A SCAM and I would do business with them again. Scott lipscomb
My 2000 Jimmy one morning all of a sudden wouldn't run anymore I tried everything and new ignition a new starter switch I tried resetting the passlock numerous amount of times each time I was just banging my head against the wall. And then I found this promod I wasn't sure if it was what I needed I talk to customer support they were so helpful. I received my package quickly I followed the instructions when I was done I did the relearn and all of a sudden my vehicle was running I couldn't be any happier every time I stick the key and now it starts thank you so much
Hello Brad, thank you so much for your positive feedback. It helps both us and our customers. I am happy to hear that you got your Jimmy running consistently and reliably again. I hope you get thousands and thousand of more miles out of it. Happy Holidays!
I ORDERED THIS BYPASS MODULE FOR MY CHEVY. DONT LET THE AD MISLEAD YOU. IT COMES WITH NO INSTRUCTIONS. YOU HAVE TO GO TO THEIR WEBSITE FOR INSTRUCTIONS. AND MORE THAN LIKEY THEY ARE NOT CORRECT. I WENT BACK N FORTH WITH THEIR SO CALLED TECH SUPPORT FOR 3 DAYS AND NEVER COULD GET THE CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY CAR. THEN THIS GUY SENT PHOTOS TELLING ME THAT THIS IS WHATS IN MY CAR. HOWEVER THATS NOT WAS EXISTING IN MY CAR. HE TRIED TO ACT LIKE I DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS THERE AND WHAT WASNT. I FINALLY SAID $#*! IT. AND STARTED THE RETURN PROCESS. BUY THIS PIECE OF $#*! AT YOUR OWN RISK! CHECK THE COMPATIBILITY LIST CAREFULLY. DONT LET THESE BOZO'S TELL YOU IT WILL WORK ON YOUR CAR. THEY DONT CARE IF IT HELPS YOU OR NOT. THEY'RE JUST TRYING TO SELL YOU SOMETHING YOU MAY NOT ACTUALLY NEED.
*** Check all your plug connections on the steering column, turned out that I had a loose plug connection on the top of the steering column, wedged in a piece of a ziptie to make the plug fit snuggly, and my car started right up. So check all connections.

Rob, again we are sorry the PRO Module did not work for you in your situation. I have reviewed the entirety of your ticket and i agree that returning the PRO Module for a full refund as advertised is your best course of action. Our support comes from the exact schematics and diagrams of parts that General Motors says is in your vehicle. These instructions are linked to at the bottom of every page on our website in the footer, as well as by the list of supported vehicles. If your vehicle is some sort of "one-off", customized, or altered beyond those diagrams, we have no ability to know that or see that. Our support explained what to look for and even went as far as to send you actual pictures of the components in the instructions, but obviously we could not make a connection with what you said was in front of you. We do the best we can in helping customers diagnose and troubleshoot. We have PRO Modules in hundreds of vehicles just like yours with no issues. We'll be looking for your return.
Regarding the Bad Reviews left by Gordon, Kim & Will.
Folks, if you are visiting Sitejabber, you are here for only one reason. Your vehicle won't crank up or cranks up and dies. You have been quoted a ridiculous price to 'Fix" it or told it can't be fixed. Either way, you are here for 'Reviews' both: Bad & Good alike prior to considering to pull the trigger and investing in a product advertised to fully bypass faulty security systems for vehicles listed on NEWROCKIES Home Page. Sadly, you'll notice that three people out of thousands took time to write what they wanted readers to take-away as 'bad' experiences. I for one (out of thousands of customers) can personally attest to the following facts: the NEWROCKIES, INC. Team will respond to those that start a Ticket or click on Contact US. The PRO Module is NOT a waste of money. It is definitely NOT a scam. How do I know? Because, my 1995 Buick LeSabre Limited with 62,500 original miles roared back to life this week after installing the PRO 5 Module. Because, I have submitted a Ticket Request asking technical questions prior to installing and received a reply. Because, if it was a scam, I'd be writing about it being one. If you want to give your vehicle (or your customer's vehicles) a second life, ignore these three and be done.
*Tip - get a squeeze type wire-stripper (one that grabs the tip of the wire vs the type you put the wire in and pull) because you'll be way up in the dash with little wiggle room.
*Tip - before cutting any wires, disconnect the negative battery terminal so you don't accidentally short something out.
*Tip - solder your connections if possible.
*Tip - before turning the key, perform a continuity check on every single fuse you can find. If you have replaced your ignition cylinder, check that you have replaced the VATS/Airbag fuse.
*Tip - before turning the key, check that the battery is charged (that includes a load test {$20.00@ Harbor Freight}, just because it shows 12.2 volts doesn't mean it's a good battery).
*Tip - before turning the key, find the location of the Starter Relay. You might end up having to have someone touch it while you turn the key to see if it clicks. (Clicks are good).
*Tip - before taking time to write a bad review, check and see if it's you vs. the product. You can't fix stupid, but you can darn sure fix a faulty security system with the NEWROCKIES, INC., PRO Module.
Thanks,
Tom G. In Texas - 1995 Buick LeSabre Limited
Thank you for the positive review, i wish we could have every happy customer share like you did. Thanks again, and we hope that Buick hits 200,000 miles.
GM Security Systems are killing cars all over the US. Only solution is to disable them permanently. This is what NEWROCKIES Inc. is all about.
Hello Kari, please provide me a ticket number so I can get to the bottom of this. We don't normally cover the Saab, but we are always open to new vehicles like you mentioned. If we can make the PRO Module work, we'd like to.
