I ended up not using this product because of their inappropriate billing practices. They charged me for "sales tax" - which is actually the EU VAT - when I am located in the US. Their pricing on their website looks like you get 3 months free if you select a 2 year package, but that is not true - you are charged for all 27 months. Also, I selected the "continue" button, which turned out to be a "finalize purchase" button, VERY MISLEADING. Spent over half and hour on "chat" trying to get my "purchase" refunded.
This VPN service does not work. I constantly need to pause the service in order for webpages to load. This makes this service worthless because anyone can see the pages I am forced to reload with the VPN paused.
NordVPN tries to hide behind a 30 day refund policy and refuses any type of refund (even a prorated use refund). The problem is that I am now paying for a two year service that doesn't work - I am not receiving the service I paid for, Nord is unable to resolve the constant issues I am having with this service and as a result, I want a refund.
I have submitted a dozen complaints to Nord over the past 2.5 months. All they do is run you around in circles with try this, ok then try that, let's try something else. The solutions provided so far at best works for only a short period before the same issues reoccur - pages refuse to load until the vpn is paused.
In addition, I have waisted hours of my time following their fix instructions that eventually fail. I did not sign up for this as NordVPN attempts to fix issues in their system on their customers's back. It is unacceptable to pay for a service that doesn't work, spend hours attempting to fix issues and then be refused a refund of any kind. Refusing to provide a refund for a service I paid for but doesn't work is stealing - NordVPN has essentially stole the 2 year subscription fee of $85 from me.

After 30 days of using this service, it is much worse than my previous service Expressvpn. There are constant and continuing issue with connections: websites are blocked and are only allowed after pausing the vpn. Webpages just hang until you pause the vpn.
It also takes 1-2 days to respond to an issue and I filed several of this same complaint in the 1st 30 day refund period. So there were several days of delayed responses that took away actual working days under the 30 day refund period and Nord now refuses to provide a refund at a few days after the 30 day period.
Nord vpn disconnects all the time and it takes awhile to get use to checking the connection, I got a popup once congratulating me for staying connected for 5 days, lol.

This company charges next month automatically even I selected monthly plan (May 2023) and cancelled it at the beginning of the second month (June 2023). Be careful about their hidden subscription.
Hello Jin, upon purchasing an account with us, you are informed and agree to terms that all of our subscription plans, including the monthly one, are renewable and will extend automatically unless auto-renewal option is disabled on your account settings.
Having upgraded my mobile I was expecting to transfer my NordVPN account, however, I had an issue with the MFA. I contacted the Nord support team by email and immediately received a response setting out what evidence I needed to provide for them to reset my MFA. On providing this I was able to access and setup my VPN on my new mobile. All sorted within 36 hours. Many thanks.
I have been using NordVPN for some time now and I must say that it has been a great investment. The service works great and I have been able to stream various content from services like Netflix and Discovery Plus without any issues. In my opinion, NordVPN is the best of the rest. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and reliable VPN service.
The support was very good and requested a number of verification & evidence that it was me.

This is a complaint about NORD/VPN
Two months ago I decided to try out NORD/VPN and take them up on their one month offer to try them out for $11.95 with free refund if I was not satisfied. At the end of the month I decided not to continue with them and thought that was it. Two days later I discovered they took another $11.95 for another month. I tried to stop that but was to late. I contacted them by their chat line to cancel them but was told I could not cancel till the end of the next month and could not get a refund unless I bought a 1 or 2 year contract. I canceled their payment from my bank and asked for my money back and was denied because I did not buy their contract. I do not have a problem with their program I have a problem with their deceitful way of doing business. Do yourself a favor and do not deal with this unscrupulous company. Go to any of their competitors. This company is a ripoff.
When I reported the problem, I wasn't really expecting such a quick response, they followed up the problem, gave me a quick solution, it worked, and they asked if everything was okay.
