I subscribed to NordVPN for a trip outside the USA and found the performance marginal. Lots of freezing while streaming requiring me to select different VPN sources. Also, they burned me on the auto renewal buried in their Terms. I missed canceling the auto renewal by hours and they said there was no way to cancel the charge. Seriously! I recommend using Proton or Surfshark if you need a VPN.
I purchased Nordvpn via Amazon last year with Auto renewal. On the renewal date Amazon debit my account as expected and the Amazon subscription account showed that I was subscribed for another year. However, I couldn't access the VPN and when I check my Nord account it showed expired. I contacted Amazon who were totally unhelpful and would not accept responsibility (despite recognising that they had taken the money for the service) only advising me to contact Nord. The Nord experience could not have been more different. After raising the issue it was clear that the information had not been passed from Amazon but as I had provided appropriate screenshots proving purchase the matter was resolved immediately. Next year I will renew directly with Nord.

Bought the service for a 1 month to watch TV while abroad, used the service for 15 days and then stopped to use. There where no mention of an Auto renewal thing on my confirmation order i received. The day before it expires i received a billing of 14,95$US for an extra month, i immideately went online and ask for a refund since i did not subscribe to auto renewal. This morning they refused to reimburse me and said they could not do that, even when i sent them the proof. This is a scam and bad relations with customers. I asked pay-pal to withdraw the amount and i am waiting for the answer. I did not use the service a single seconds and was upfront with them. If you ask me, stay away from a companie that does this for 15Us Dollars, they will scam you for more for sure.

NordVPN was my 3rd VPN service. I subscribed for 2 years because they had a decent review. After one month of use the turned off my service because their "automated tools" detected I was "web scraping". I am a retired person using a single desktop. Aside from the occasional BitTorrent book I am NEVER done anything like webscraping. Repeated emails to support to cancel my account are replied to by robot mail saying my account is suspended indefinitely. No further explanation. No Cancellation. Word of warning: they are clearly monitoring your traffic and given their crappy analysis tools they probably have all that data laying around on their servers. Let my loss be your gain: DO NOT USE NORDVPN!

I purchased 1 month subscription assuming it was just for a month, but it turns out it auto renews. On the first day of next billing cycle my credit card was charged and I contacted NordVPN to cancel and get a refund, but they pointed to their Terms of Service and would not issue refund. I get the ToS, but would appreciate more flexibility for cases like mine.

NordVPN will nor refund over £100 they have taken without my permission. I have been with NordVPN for 2 years & decided not to renew. I let my account run out & told then I wish to cancel my subscription. They took 1 year subscription without my permission. They did this from a visa card that was changed 3 months ago & new cards issued yet the still took my money from my account without my permission. In other words they hacked my account. Do not use this VPN they will not let you cancel. They will not give you your money back after they have taken it by hacking.

Hello Ken, rest assured we didn't hack your account. Most likely you did not disable auto-renewal setting on your Nord Account panel and thus your plan got renewed automatically. This is all described in our Terms of Service to which you've agreed when purchasing an account with us. As a result, our support team was unable to issue a refund for the second term. I've contacted their support nuuuuuuuumerous times and every single time they ask the same exact same questions. I provided answers to their questions, and even sent screenshots of the error message I always get, to no avail. Believe it or not, they still ask the same stuuuuuuuuuuupid questions over and over again
I finally gave up and asked them to cancel my subscription and refund my money in full.
