Upon reviewing all the feedback, it is imperative to consider assigning a rating of 0 to establishments that do not merit even a single star. During a recent visit to procure plastic folders for my students, I inquired about the price-matching policy prior to selecting the necessary items. Upon reaching the register, the attendant appeared unfamiliar with the procedure and sought assistance from the manager, who conducted himself discourteously and unprofessionally. The manager would benefit from immediate training. The folders in question were identical to those available at Target. My decision to patronize this establishment was solely due to its proximity, which, in hindsight, proved to be an unfortunate choice. The Office Depot is located at Grossmont Center. Hopefully, someone from the main headquarters will read it and do something about it. I drove to Target and bought 100 folders there! Bye-bye, Office Depot, you need better staff!

Office depot in my opinion is a good place to get small office stuff done. I use it to do lamination, printing, sending faxes etc... Unlike other big box stores the staff is well trained and available.

Office Depot's delivery service is a disaster. My order arrived weeks late, and when it did, the items were damaged. Customer service was unresponsive and offered no assistance in resolving the issue. Office Depot, if you want to retain customers, you need to improve your shipping reliability.

I am a business owner and wish I could give a negative review. I order posters to be laminated. I go tthe order 2 times and still isn't right. I called the 800 number and got hung up on first time. Second time I got Sean which argued with the whole 20 min call and then hung up on me. Buyers beware! Never Again! Office depot if you see this the call was on 9/10/23 4:38 pm name was Sean. Order number *******-001

I was looking for self adhesive laminating sheets at store located at ******* Jaggery Road, North ille, Mi *******. I asked Theresa who introduced herself as a manger about it. She said it is on the wall. I asked her if she could please show me the exact location. Theresa raised her voice on me, the customer, and said "I told you it is on the wall." I left without spending any money to support the existence of idiots.
I am a doctor and do not appreciate anyone who more likely does not even have a high school diploma to raise her voice on me.

THERESA SHOULD BE FIRED.

Do yourself a favor, spend your money where the employees will respect you.

I bought an Epson printer at the Aurora Avenue store in Seattle, but it was faulty. I took it back and asked for a refund. I was turned down because the credit card I used had subsequently been stolen and I had cancelled the account. A cash refund was not possible, I was told. Terrible customer service. I won't shop here again.

I ordered a printed manual and order to keep the size of the images I submitted. It turned out they were too small. I spent another $100 and got the fit to paper size thinking that the images would be enlarged to fit the paper...that is what the icon shows when you click on it, the IMAGES are enlarged. When I received the second manual, it was exactly the same as the first. Their explanation was the white space on my page is included in that "fit to paper" and "keep size" and "fit to paper" would be the same. Why even have two options then? Why have icons that show the IMAGES would be larger in "fit to paper"?! It is completely deceiving. Now I am out of a $100 for another completely unusable item. Needless to say, office depot/office max will not receive anymore of my business and I will be sure to spread the word about my experience to others.

Don't buy from this company because their customer service doesn't keep their word. My realspace Treswell bonded leather fell apart after 3-year warranty period but Office Depot offered me a complimentary replacement on back and seat cushions. This was last May 2022. I have been calling customer service ever since last May checking on cushion(s) availability which never are. Today, 7 Mar
2023 their phone rep tells me that Office Depot is not obligated to replace my cushions since it is a complimentary order.

Tip for consumers:
Don't buy bonded leather anything.

This store is a shadow of what it used to be, hardly any products, most product on shelf are old or out of date, staff are not caring, the return policy is maxed out at 14 days, the Allstate extended warrantee they sell is a complete joke, the store will not honor it you have go through a major drama just to get in contact with Allstate. Etc etc etc. will never, ever be shopping with this chain ever again. Horrible experience.

I am a remote worker and I needed a filing cabinet. I ordered a file cabinet to be delivered to my home from Office Depot. After ordering, it did not show up in the website tracking. It also did not arrive on time. I had to chat twice to resolve it. It arrived with major damage. I had to chat to arrange a return. The return pickup never showed up, I had to char to resolve that. The pickup finally showed up and had no paperwork or receipt. I had to chat to resolve that. Every part of it, other than the tech support people, was unprofessional. I do not reccomend them to anyone.

I wish I had her name but the survey code is 76KW GO4Y P1F4. The employee working in the copying area at Office Max in Mansfield, Ohio was so helpful. She helped me make some copies in record time. I will never buy anything from Office Depot that requires delivery they charge u for installation and they never show up. I call the manager inquiring about the installers he hangs up on me very professional I went in person so I can speak to him and he wouldn't refund me for the installation of a $105 even though I gave him the order number not to mention being rude.

I am very very dissatisifed with the service I giot from this company. If there is lower that the one star review,I will give it to them,

On April 29,2024, I went to the Office Depo located at 8720 West Charleston Blvd. Store. The staff assigned helped me do my order of notary stamp and journal. Order: *******-001. He said, it will take 3-5 days to be shipped to me I paid the total fees and left. The package was set to be delivered on May 4 to Office depo store. Unfortunately, UPS did not deliver it as there was an error looking for a Suite number. I am not sure why as I saw the address was correct, I called Office Depo and the lady manager said she will not help me as I am responsible to monitor where my package is and that I have to call their go depo office. I told her but I ordered from you and she insisted that the guy who did my shipment did not do it right and she is not responsible about it and that staff is no longer working for office depo. Still its the company responsibility to help me,. I called the number and its a customer service and I kept telling them to call UPS and re-delivered the package and give the exact store number. I called several times and they emailed too but to date the shipment has not arrived, It cost me so much as my law office needs my notary service. At the end, the package is still not with me. The whole experience was a disaster. It was the worst experience I had in purchasing supplies via online. Office depo should improve their customer service and that office handling shipments must be given an extensive training, The call center was sooooooooo bad.

I had to look for another supplier fot my notary stamp as my law office needs my services. This experience caused me to fail in my duties in my office.

I bought an almost $500 desk. The unit was not available at my local store so I had to purchase online. It was literally DROPPED off while I was a work - damaged with the end of the box destroyed. I immediately sent pictures and called OD and my CC company trying to get them to pick up or for me to bring back to the store. OD is stating I never contacted them and are pushing now for payment. Do they not realize people keep emails and phone records? Horrible customer support. I will never buy from here again.

We received a used desk from them sold as new. When we gave an honest review on their website about the product, they refused to publish it. So, do not trust reviews on officedepot.com. They only accept good or decent reviews. The desk we received had children's marker drawn all over it and obvious wear and tear. I am disappointed to know that Office Depot doctors their reviews. Nothing about the review was inappropriate and we were actually kind about how they handled the return. I would deduct at least 1 star from every product on their site to get an idea of the real review.

Tip for consumers:
Deduct 1 star from all of their reviews because they only accept the good ones.

I received the package less than 15 minutes ago and I'm already working on the return/refund process. Three of the four corners are damaged. There are various nicks and gouges along the sides. There is a sticky substance covering an area by one of the corners. The biggest problem, however, is that the board is visibly bent. This product needs bubble wrap or some other kind of padding to ensure safe delivery. As much as I would like to have a whiteboard, it is not worth hanging this product on my wall. Extremely dissatisfied with my Office Depot experience.

As a side note, I tried to submit this review (with photos) to Office Depot. I was notified via email that this review could not be posted because it "mentions shipping complaints". A vendor should be responsible for ensuring safe delivery of an order. A separate email also informed me that they cannot pickup the item or issue me a refund until they contact the shipping vendor and work something out with them.

Do I have to give it any star. Same story as everyone else. We should file a class action suite against them since they obviously don't care.
Order not arriving. I cancelled and it arrives 5 days later. I called to return it and for two weeks and daily calls and emails still waiting for the promised pick up that never comes. They have the nerve to say I'll get my refund when it gets to their warehouse, like that will ever happen. Asked if I can bring it to the store and they say no. Asked for a shipping label and I'll send it, no response. They are quick to charge your credit card though. This has to be illegal.

I ordered a storage cabinet from Office Depot online. I received an email saying it was delivered however I did not receive it. I spent a month and 13 phone calls trying to get this resolved. I finally asked for a refund which never came. I spoke to supervisors etc. Everyone I spoke with would say "You will receive a call back within 72 hours" or "An email within 24 hours" or "I will personally call you back tomorrow." None of which EVER occurred. After they promised me a refund I ordered the identical cabinet from another vendor. Well shortly after receiving that cabinet the Office Depot cabinet showed up. Never a follow up call from the supervisor who was working on my refund. The WORST customer service I have ever seen. Each time I called I had to explain the situation again. Each time they would give me a new complaint number but never follow up on the old number. I just gave up!

Tip for consumers:
If your product shows up GREAT! But if you have any problems don't expect it resolved with customer service.

NEVER received item from 11/20/22 order. Today is 12/15.

I patiently waited until 12/9 to contact Customer "service". Nothing was done.

Reconnected 12/12 & was told would have resolution in 48 hours. That time frame has passed and all I've gotten is email saying "pending".

They won't allow picking up nursing product from local retail location, they aren't concerned about getting it to me.

NEVER trusting or using this company again!

That Office Depot does NOT identify 3rd party sellers on their site and DOES NOT stand behind poor / no service from those vendors.

This was a learning experience. I had to order some home office supplies and saw a discount available through my credit card so I opted to go with this site. They initially put the charge through in September, while the offer was still valid. Now all of a sudden it's been changed to October, conveniently after the discount expired. Also, their site is rife with so-called "dark patterns" so that you need to re-select your shipping options every single time you enter a new line of data (address, card info, etc.), otherwise you'll pay for what is supposed to be free shipping. Finally, the site is drop-shipping from various vendors so I was startled to see notifications from a business I didn't recognize. One of these businesses threw a box of plastic pens into a plastic shipping bag and one end was crushed. I do not recommend this business.

Tip for consumers:
Don't. If you do, have a cup of strong tea or coffee first and pay attention to every click or it will steer you to the more expensive shipping options.

My local Office Depot (west side of Madison, WI) knows how to build long term relationships with their customers. Their service and products are wonderful. Good prices, too. Employees are friendly and the store manager makes sure his store delivers quality. Much appreciated!

1. Printer ink is priced significantly above other sellers.
2. Plastic floor mat for under office chair (seemed cheap quality) was about $70!

Employees are nice, but one told me they are pressured to sell the most expensive option, and they get "talked to"/penalized if they don't sell the higher priced items. I understand a business wanting to make the most profit possible, but I'm taking my business elsewhere.

OfficeDepot is pretty ok, you can find pretty much any kind of office supplies here. I was looking for some printer ink here and was having a hard time finding something for my specific model but eventually it all worked out.

They promised next day delivery. Had I known this was not the case I would have arranged to pick the item up. When I talked to customer service they claimed weather delays. There were not any weather issues the day the delivery was scheduled. When I tried to a live chat there was no response to my question so I got off. They did call me after that but offered no discount or anything for their poor performance. I will need to be desperate to every purchase from them again and it will not be delivered.
