Onemain is a great company, but their loan application process is very slow. I got tired and decided to try somewhere else. Found another company called meteoricfinance.com ' that helped and it was fast there. You can check them for large sum loans and fast service.

I originally applied for a small loan, only to be informed the lowest amount I could receive is $1500. 00. I was then informed I was approved for over $5400. 00, but needed security, which is not what I applied for. I had also listed a co-signer, and when they called they didn't wish to speak with me even though I had initiated the loan. When I informed there I could not provide security they said I could not be helped. I have a family member who has a current loan with them, and has had issues with them as well. This company will do anything to lure you into one of their local branches in order to sign your life away, trying to get you to purchase different options at high prices. It is like going to a car dealership and being held hostage. I do not recommend this lending company, there are many other choices out there.

We started out with this company when they called themselves CitiFinancial. We had a loan with them for years and and we made extra payments. They barely applied any of the amounts to the principal, even though we paid extra. We wanted to refinance with them to get the a better interest rate and they said we didn't qualify for a lower rate. They are a bunch of CROOKS! They outright lied to us. We went to Farmers National bank and got a loan rate that was 6.27% lower. Farmers told us we had a great credit score. We should have left those crooks long ago they got thousands of dollars from us with their deceptive practices! Do not use this company you will never get out of debt.

They are not a good company to do business with. One issue is that they do not report the payments you make as they should. My credit reports show nothing past May 2023. When I disputed this, they updated June & July with "-". Here it is 6 months later, and they haven't updated anything. So now, Credit Karma comes up and tells me I missed a payment when I pay early every month. I'm tired of disputing them constantly because they can't do their job. On top of that they have super high rates around 25%. The person below who commented on their sales practices was 100% correct in what they said. In my case, I was sent an actual notice from them saying I was pre-approved to refinance my loan to get additional cash out. When I filled out additional information, the soft inquiry said I was approved. It literally gave me 8 or 10 offers to choose from. I selected the best offer for me. When I submitted it, a hard inquiry was done, and then they denied me and made my credit score drop. They are a terrible company. I would never do business with them again. I have managed to raise my score a lot on my own. I literally closed every single credit card I had, except for 2. Despite what financial experts tell you, that worked for me. I can't wait to be done with this place.
